Fire may burn bright, but it makes the world darker. Can't hardly see a thing out there.

If Hades raised Nico and Bianca Part 31 (Gay)
Mini Headcanon: Since Nico and Bianca are also Persephone's kids, they technically count in the Demeter children so they can sit in the Demeter table
At the Demeter table:
Will: Hey, Nico
Nico: Oh, hey, Will. *wipes food from his mouth, trying to act cool*
Will: Uh...Lou Ellen and I were gonna head over to the Apollo cabin's table. You wanna join?
Nico: Oh, I- uh- *looks at Bianca*
Bianca: Go ahead
Nico: *secretly excited* Cool, cool. Sure, why not? *goes with them to the Apollo table*
Bianca, watching Nico from afar: I never understood crushes
Katie: What do you mean?
Bianca: Like...how can you just look at someone and just...feel that way?
Katie: Well, love is complicated. But that's the Aphrodite cabin's territory. So, can't really say much
Bianca: I just don't get how you just see them and your whole day is made.
Zoë: Hello, Bianca
Bianca: *turns to her and instantly fixes her posture and fixes her hair* Zoë! Hey, hi.
Katie:
Zoë: *softly chuckles* What are you doing here? We've been waiting for you at our table.
Bianca: *small blush* O-our table?
Zoë: Yes, the one designated for those who reside in the Artemis cabin?
Bianca: Right! Right, right. Uhm...sure. I'll be right there.
Zoë: ...alright, then. *walks away*
Bianca: *picks up her plate and follows her* Sorry, hope you don't mind.
Katie:

The Washington Post drew heavy criticism Tuesday for its fact check of the first night of the Democratic National Convention. Democrats attacked Republican nominee Donald Trump throughout the evening, but many critics argued Washington Post fact checker Glenn Kessler tried to draw a false equivalency between the former president's lies and some of the statements made by speakers during Monday's event. "Wow," said journalist Judd Legum. "The Washington Post 'fact check' of night 1 of the DNC is embarrassing." Kessler rounded up 12 claims made from the stage in Chicago that he felt lacked context, but many readers felt that he focused too narrowly on specific words Trump had used and the implied meaning of those statements, as characterized by Democrats. "This kind of 'fact-checking' is an artifact of the collision between Trump's politics of lying and elite media's business-model-driven bothsidesism," said Talking Points Memo founder Josh Marshall. "The two things are obviously categorically different. But the need to jam them into one model creates nonsense like this."
I'm so glad that others in the media noticed this. It was frustrating reading the WaPo's "fact check" of the first night of the DNC.
In his attempt to get more readers for The Washington Post, Jeff Bezos hired William Lewis (from Murdoch's WSJ) as CEO. As a result, the once great newspaper that produced the Watergate investigation, is now reduced to giving its readers mediocre, if not misleading "fact checks."

my favorite hc is that the chb head counselors (specifically the ones who were there and experienced the manhattan battle) are best friends.
they have sleepovers in the poseidon cabin (since it's just percy and tyson), they have monthy group outings where they just go out and get to be kids, sally invites them over at least once a week for dinner, they walk to activities together, they're so clingy it's ridiculous.
the campers who experienced the battle get it, because there's only so much death and parentification a literal teenager can take before needing to rely on others, so seeing percy carrying will piggy-back out of the med cabin, or watching clarisse chasing one of the stoll brothers around camp, or seeing annabeth, chris, and katie engaged in a heated debate over which area to plant the newest strawberry field, it's all normal to them.
they will absolutely die if they are not within twelve feet of each other, they legally have to be around each other at all times or else they will lose it. when percy got back to chb after his disappearance, the head counselors spent the day inside the poseidon cabin, all piled together in a demigod puppy pile, percy at the center with clarisse's elbow in his ribs, katie's knee hitting his temple, one of the stoll brothers attempting to use his knee as a back rest, pollux's hand dangerously close to smacking him in the face, and the biggest, happiest smile on his face.
