Midsomer Murders, season 10 - “They Seek Him Here”
When director Nick Cheyney is found beheaded by a guillotine on the set of his latest film, Barnaby and Jones are left with no shortage of suspects. The victim, it transpires, was on poor terms with several people in some way connected to the project, including the mother of his child and an actor who blamed him for ruining his career.

Midsomer Murders really does have one of the best ever theme tunes. Heavy on the creepy theremin is the way to go.
There's a fairground based version (with what I think has a steam organ track to it but couldn't swear to) that features in at least one episode which shows what it might have been without the theremin.

One of our favorite pasttimes is (affectionately) making fun of the Midsomer Murders episode s10e05 "Death and Dust," in which the Midsomer Ramblers go on a field trip to Wales and the murderer attempts to throw a second victim off a cliff while Tom Barnaby flies up in a helicopter, hanging out the side, and DS Jones runs to stop the murderer from the ground. Besides the helicopter antics, this episode also stands out for there being a pig-related subplot in which a woman doesn't want to wed a pig farmer and someone observes, "She could've had standing in the porcine community." Every time we start laughing about it I try and fail to find some good stills from the episode, so I've taken matters into my own hands:
