so I have to share how the Cazador fight went in Tactician mode because hoooo boy.

I know I was talking about trying out some barrelmancy but also I wanted to kick his ass fair and square, especially in preparation for doing it in honour mode (where I'll be saving all the explosives for the final fight).

My only previous experience with the Cazador fight, from my first run, went as follows:

Run in there like a bunch of idiots at level 10 because that fucker just tried to kidnap our boy and immediately get our asses kicked so so bad.

Look up fight strategies, go back in, hit the fucker with a sunbeam scroll and have Karlach punt him off a cliff (this was before that tactic got patched out)

Take forever struggling to mop up the rest of his truly ridiculous number of minions

Elf Emotional Breakdown x2 Combo (on account of Tezalin was literally Too Paladin To Paladin and broke their oath by freeing the spawn)

All of this to say that I did not have any Actual Experience with the full fight, so I was going in mostly blind.

As such, my first attempt on Tactician went... very poorly. I went in with Ardwin (Warrior of Light and Darkness of FFXIV fame, and currently throw-build barbarian), Gale, Jaheira with Daylight on her weapon, and obviously Astarion, along with a very good supply of sunbeam scrolls, one Otto's Irresistible Dance mostly just for shits and giggles, and a few Globes of Invulnerability.

Plan pretty much immediately went to shit because mist form Cazador has a necrotic aura that does a stupid amount of damage and the ghouls were stankin' up the place. Gale and Jaheira got downed really fast and things were not looking great. And for SOME FUCKING REASON, throwing health potions bugged out and did litereally nothing except break the potion. Still no idea what went wrong there.

But I went "okay, how can I turn this around." The answer was reviving Gale and Jaheira, casting one of the Globes of Invuln, and having everyone just camp out inside there and take potshots at the bastard between healing back up. It was really, really silly. I was literally just sitting there laughing because this whole fight was such a ridiculous trainwreck and the current strategy felt so incredibly stupid.

Key word, WAS. It very promptly stopped being funny when something SHOVED ASTARION out of the invuln globe and, because we were all camped out in there and thus only blocking one of the ritual sources, Cazador immediately murderized the hell out of him in one turn. To my absolute fucking horror.

"...First of all fuck this sunbeam scroll, Ardwin is going back to rage mode because she is MAD. Astarion, oh my god, I'm so fucking sorry, you just hang on for a second, I'll get you back up after he's done, it's gonna be okay." (Cazador was almost dead at this point thankfully.)

Back to Invuln Globe Potshots to wrap things up, and then once we had mopped up the last of the minions I revived my poor boy and then had Jaheira use up all her remaining spell slots to heal him because I literally felt SO BAD.

(not quite bad enough to let him ascend though lol)

I wound up redoing the fight because obviously I needed the extra practice (and also still felt terrible about the death-by-Cazador). Second time went a lot smoother. I started the fight by having Astarion sneak-attack with Arrow of Shut The Fuck Up (aka Arrow of Arcane Interference which if it hits, guaranteed silence effect for a round with no saving throw!) instead of starting the conversation. He still dragged us into the dialogue at the start of the next round, but after getting Astarion freed, it turned out that Astarion continuing to hit him with Arrow of Shut The Fuck Up every round was really effective and also very satisfying. We also actually did the mechanics and stood on the ritual spots, which, shocker of shockers, helped quite a bit. (Ascension still denied. Sorry buddy. Not gonna happen.)

ALRIGHT FOLKS!!!! A LOT TO TALK ABOUT HERE!!!!

So WOTFI 2024 - To me ,despite some flaws, has honestly also a lot of good within!

SPOILERS FROM HERE ON SO BE WARNED!!!!!

As for my theories-

Hoooo boi-

So a lot really didn't happen when it came to actual physical harm. The closest I believe we got was Meggy being grabbed by Puzzles and then yeeted to the floor being saved by Mario mere seconds before hitting the ground.

Other than that most of the harm done was more goofy than anything and didn't actually hurt or kill.

As for Puzzles- Puzzles lived! Though now being held in max security prison in a private holding cell. Puzzles is alive and more crazy than ever with a new goal in mind. No longer does he care for fame or 5 stars but for a (very unhealthy) friendship with Leggy.

No doubt Puzzles will be back. And more than likely will escape prison because I mean... C'mon-

Swag and Chris are in charge of keeping this man in prison.... He's not staying.

SMG34 - sadly didn't get much of that as we had a mind controlled Three who definitely wasn't giving us much. Which I have to say was a little disappointing. Though I am interested to see if the next episode goes over how everyone is after Puzzle Park. But we'll see.

Though I gotta say!!!!

The carnival outfits for everyone were honestly spectacular!!! My favorites def being SMG3, Bob, & Karen!!

Now to get into some of my gripes with this WOTFI..

Although it was fun we had quite the banger song from Puzzles, but I do agree with some that it felt rushed despite the time they had. And the trailer definitely over-hyped all of us for what we were expecting..

I wish they maybe made this WOTFI longer so more could be put into the games as not many were put in sadly and I wish more was given for actual lore especially for Puzzles as we kinda just got the same information we already knew.

A lot more could have been done but I still heavily enjoyed watching this WOTFI as my first live show.

I look forward to the future of SMG4 and hope to see more of our favorite Television in the coming timeline of SMG4.

I will be posting another thing like this going over things I did notice during this WOTFI that I found to be really great in writing, animation, attention to detail, and so much more!

This definitely was one hell of a WOTFI!!

Oh boy everyone!!! It's finally happening!!!!

WOTFI 2024 Is less than 24 hours away and I wanted to share some predictions/theories!!!

- Mr. Puzzles is going to get someone horribly maimed or killed.

We already have a possible confirmation from our dear Television himself in the PSA.

- Who should we be most scared for??? I know a lot of people are scarred for Meggy and SMG3 but based on Mr. Puzzles Clubhouse beginning scene we should be most concerned for Mario and SMG4.

Both were on Puzzles absolute LOATH list with the most knives or sharp deadly objects thrown at. Though with Mario being the world's Avatar I have to assume they wouldn't go killing that man. At most horribly injured. Though SMG4 is definitely not in the clear. Despite being our main protagonist he is high on Puzzles hate list.

Though I can imagine SMG3 possibly saving SMG4's life. So SMG3 could easily be an accidental target.

- Now another one I've seen is will Puzzles live after this WOTFI? And as much as I'd love to give a “oh he's so gonna _____ after this WOTFI.” But I can't. I can see it going either way but a part of me does hope for a possible redemption. With his backstory and all. I feel it's possible. But again I can also see him dying as a high possibility for what he's done to the crew and others. So I'll leave this as is.

- Do I believe we'll get some sweet sweet SMG34? YES. With how SMG3 was in Welcome to Puzzle Park I can see the two sticking pretty close once they can find each other.

With that I believe as this being my first ever live WOTFI experience, this is going to be an absolute blast!!!!

…. Honestly I had never thought of this before this morning but …

When I was a kid I’d definitely rip through books like no one’s business. Even when watching TV became a thing in my life like … I’d read books. Why? Because back in ye olden days, we didn’t have easy access to bingeable shows. Shit came out piecemeal, episode by episode and the whole concept of just releasing a season in one go was unheard of. So when the show I was hyper fixated on ended I would be like “AAAAAA CAN’T WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT EPISODE” then flipped through a bunch of other channels and realized everything else was boring and then either grabbed a book and went outside to build forts in the woods.

Obviously if a series has been out for a while you could find it online through legal or slightly less legal methods and watch it in one go. Which I definitely did. But I was young and poor and didn’t want to risk getting like malware on my computer.

And I could be misremembering things but really I feel like the tipping point was when I got to college and I suddenly had unfettered access to my iPhone. In high school, I had an iPhone for my senior year but it was high school and I was a goody two shoes and scared of consequences. Use of phones was not allowed during school hours and the vice principle put the fear of god in me so I never used it. (Still pissed that she reamed me out for doing my stats homework in comp sci when I had already finished my assignment in that class and the teacher had kinda tacitly told me it was cool for me to work on other shit while people were finishing up)

But college? Hoooo boy.

Especially since iPhones were starting to get these fun things called apps

Specifically gaming apps. Like Clash of Clans.

Anyway I think that was the main turning point from me pivoting from reading a fuck ton of books to just being glued to my screen. I found a new way to hit up that dopamine dispenser.

So no… the iPhone nor TV made me ADHD. I was already ADHD since childhood when I didn’t even get access to a PC let alone a phone until like middle school. If y’all want to know how bad it got - the reason I never did my homework? The reason I procrastinated on doing an important project?

It was because I had my nose in a book.

My mom literally took my books away from me because I was reading them instead of doing my homework assignments. I distinctly remember a time in middle school when I was reading Order of the Phoenix (yeah I know but we didn’t know what we knew now about her) instead of doing work on my National History Day project and my mom like stormed into my room and yelled at me for it.

Like … phones were not the problem here. Screens were not the problem here. My brain chemistry was definitely the issue.

Overanalysing the colours in RDR2 part 1

These are more just like headcanons when I’m playing and I think abt it tbh but here we go:

I couldn’t help but notice that rdr2 sort of had a colour scheme? Other than for aesthetic reasons. Lemme elaborate

One of the themes being good people vs those ultimately rotten, the game kind of hints at it through clothing, horses etc and I began to see that once I started replaying it.

If you play with Arthur’s canon outfit, he has a blue shirt, blue being a colour of purity, calmness. The same can be said for Hosea, who often sports a blue or yellow vest (yellow also being a colour associated with goodness and happiness- if you play high honour the screen is also tinted yellow during visions etc). So subconsciously im already going ah ha these are the good guys. Charles, John, Lenny, Sadie and Tilly can also be seen wearing blues and/or yellows at various points in the game, while it is something we rarely see with the antagonists/Pinkertons, if ever.

On the other hand, the “bad guys” ie Micah, dutch, always wear red/black. Micahs shirt is red, and he wears a black jacket on top of that at the end of Ch.2. Dutch as well (as I’m sure we’re all aware,, hoooo that vest) is characterised by the red/black aesthetic. Red/black being death, blood, evil. Especially with Dutch, I think there’s a lot to be said abt his vest. Between chapters 2-4 where we can see his vest (and I know this isn’t always the case, but most of the time) he is wearing a black and red waistcoat, with the red being at the back, not visible to many especially if he wears his jacket on top. However by the end of Ch. 4 and the bank robbery, he starts wearing a vest with the colours the other way around. This could symbolise how he was trying to conceal his true nature from everyone, and generally succeeding, while by the end of the game it becomes more obvious both to us as the players and to Arthur as Dutch becomes more and more unhinged. (Ok the next one really is a stretch so bear with me) You can kinda see this with Arthur too. If you wear one of the fancier vests you’re given when you start the game, inadvertently trying to imitate Dutch with the fancy dress which we can assume Arthur wouldn’t normally wear, you’ll notice that the vest is also red, but this time at the front- this could be because Arthur is much more open about his contempt of himself and openly acknowledges that he’s not a good person (at least according to him) thus the red on his vest is at the front and much easier to see. And as you play more low honour (how dutch would probably play if he was under the same honour system), becoming more like Dutch, it can be easy to see how Dutch’s influence indoctrinated Arthur into the outlaw life by way of him trying to imitate a father figure which he worshipped.

Horses as well, hoooo boi get ready for me overanalysing it even more. I have a few things to say here as well.

So we all know Dutch rides “The Count” the magnificent, Pearl white horse in the game, and that kind of implies to me that he is trying to be viewed as a knight, a saviour, since they are often associated with riding white horses- whether that is how he views himself or how he wishes others to perceive him is up for debate. Hoseas Silver Dollar on the other hand is,,, well, silver. Silver being a mix between white and black, good and bad, kind of showing us that his past was perhaps morally reprehensible, but that he has since made amends and become a better person, while not denying the existence of a harrowing past, as he admits in the game. However Micah’s horse Baylock is essentially all black, black hinting Death, ashes, destruction, all of which are things Micah delights in causing all throughout the game.

Anyways,,, yeah I don’t know does anyone kinda see where I’m coming from?

Heeeeyy so i am very intrigued by the possibilities of your yaoli post! 👀👀👀 but since you opened the box of jgy's type being "eldest daughter" may i ask - do you have thoughts on JGY/JYL/LXC?

Anon, I pondered this all day yesterday to figure out what my thoughts are. Instinctively, I was like "oh god no," because this hypothetical polycule consists entirely of people who would get the wrong plate of food at a restaurant and not say anything to the waiter. Every one of them prioritizes keeping their heads down and avoiding conflict--in different ways and for different reasons, but not a single one of them is healthy about it. This REALLY does not bode well for clear and honest communication or setting of boundaries! Add canon’s many external issues into the mix, and hoooo boy, they have a LOT to overcome.

But what if they could?

For optimal chances of success, I think JGY and JYL need to have forged some type of relationship with each other independently of LXC before anything progresses with all three of them. An arranged marriage with JYL and LXC in the wake of Sunshot avoids some of the Jin drama, but then you’ve got JYL playing second fiddle to Xiyao (and feeling lonely but not wanting to complain), JGY feeling like a mistress (which he would be EXTREMELY uncomfortable with, I think, and which would make him leery around JYL), and/or LXC withdrawing from them both (or worse, trying to force an arrangement too fast like he did with 3zun) because he has no idea how to balance it. That’s too much!

So instead, let’s have JGY and JYL developing some kind of bond while they’re both stuck at Jinlintai during the Burial Mounds time period. JGY’s interactions with LXC are limited then, as are JYL’s interactions with her brothers, so they’re lonely! Maybe they develop romantic attraction then, maybe they don’t, but the groundwork is there. Then, after JZX’s death, JYL agrees to an arranged marriage with JGY because it solidifies her son’s position in the Jin line of succession and lets her continue to raise him, and besides, she knows and trusts JGY.

(”I know and trust JGY!” are famous last words, but in this case it’s gonna be fine, because I said so. It’s also gonna be fine for Qin Su, who is now free to go have a nice normal marriage perhaps to Jiang Cheng.)

So now! Now they’re a couple! An actual romantic couple! But uh oh, what about LXC? Well, “I miss er-ge” was already something they bonded over, and JYL isn’t stupid. JYL is also pretty secure in her own position here, so she decides to have a CONVERSATION about it. JGY would want to do right by her and pointedly NOT be his father, so there’s a lot of “are you SURE it’s fine? like are you SURE?” and eventually they decide that next time JGY thinks of an excuse to go to Cloud Recesses on sect business for his dad, JYL and baby Jin Ling are coming too. You know. Just to see what happens.

LXC does not see this coming but, it turns out, he and JYL have quite a lot that they can talk about and unpack together.

Of course, in the background of all of this, JGS is still possibly having JGY do war crimes... but as the Jin heir’s stepdad and a core component of the Yunmeng Jiang marriage alliance, JGY now has practical value to his father beyond the dirty work he’s willing to do. And with both JYL and LXC monitoring JGY’s behavior, hopefully--because I said so!--an intervention can occur before JGY makes his way into the Forbidden Library. After all, JYL already lost a brother (and, by extension, her first husband) to demonic cultivation crimes. She’s not going down this road again, especially with her own sect and Gusu Lan behind her.

September 🍄 2022 Monthly - Aries

Whole of your energy: 5 Swords

Interesting sight for your reading and it came right away. I’ve only ever seen the first episode of Tiger King, so I know the guy’s voice, and the meme jokes, but I haven’t actually watched it, so idk. First I heard the line “I’m never going to financially recover from this.” Which made me laugh because…random. Then I saw a mountain 🏔 , a teenage boy throwing a lasso over the top of mountain, swinging around and up, shoving a flag in the ground and swinging back down to a ledge with a “whooooo hoooo!” 😂 Best thing I’ve seen in awhile, I smiled the whole time. NOW, you pulled 5 Swords, which isn’t great but it gets better. You’ve been in a nasty conflict with someone that’s been very unfair to you, or a situation that’s unfair and undeserved. Mind games are involved, nasty things have been said. Wheel of Fortune shows positive things are coming to you, your luck is changing. If you are the one in this petty, mean, mind fkery energy, then that’s what is going to change.

First card out is The Tower, which I immediately heard “The Mountain”, followed by 3 Wands “climbing” and The World “it’s done”. I haven’t had a reading be so blatant and clear for awhile, I love it, good things are coming 💚 444 on the clock, 4’s are stability, savings, having the power to decide what comes next, you may be financially recovering from this 🐅

What’s going on in September:

The Tower:

Something shook the very foundation that you stand upon, something came crumbling down that was built on sand, especially regarding a romantic relationship. The Lovers & 2 Swords show above all, a choice needing to be made. You’ve been very patient in making decisions, mostly to put them off, you aren’t sure which path is the right path so you never made a clear cut decision, and Spirit chose for you by making the Tower fall…whichever option wasn’t meant to be yours. You’re waiting expectantly, moving forward a little every day towards The World, the end. I get relationships as the dominant story here, but apply to career where that fits. You were hoping and expecting one particular option to show up or come through, out of several you had on standby, and when it didn’t, your sadness and disappointment heavily remained on that which you had lost vs. what remained. If you had not chosen a specific person and they left, you’re very upset and there are a lot of regrets about what took place. The World:

The ending of this cycle is near, you’re very conflicted about whether to try to heal a relationship, or whether to let it rest for good. Any arguments or competition is being left behind in favor of celebrating with friends, reuniting with people you haven’t seen for awhile, traveling. If you’ve recently been through a break-up, you’re getting over it by spending time with other people. Hoooo boy this one is going to be a doozy lmao. I can feel the second hand embarrassment of this situation the whole time I wrote this~

Gabriel

Spending time with Gabriel in public often means that the two of you get accosted by fans all the time. She’s a well known face in Tokyo as both a lovable idol and overall pop-angel sensation, so running into people begging for autographs, pictures or otherwise is par from the course when it comes to being her friend. Which is exactly why, when the two of you spend a day out shopping together, you’re fully expecting someone to recognize the angel at any moment and swoop in vying for Gabriel’s attention in one way or another.

The two of you had ducked into a clothing store to take a look through some of the items that had caught your eye as you’d walked past, and you were busying yourself viewing the displays as you listened to Gabriel excitedly chatter away when you felt a hand tap your shoulder. Turning to your left, you come face to face with someone you’ve never seen before - they’re bouncing on the balls of their feet and they flash you such an excitable smile that you’d think they’d just won the lottery if they weren’t looking directly at you. Gabriel notices them as well, as she peeks over your shoulder upon noticing you’ve gone quiet and smiles when she sees them talking to you. This person’s all too eager to pull out a small book and a pen, practically brimming with energy as they ask for an autograph - at that you make a noise of realization, immediately assuming that this must be one of Gabriel’s fans, so you excuse yourself and step out of the way so as to not get in the way of their request. Gabriel must have the same idea, as she steps forward to take over and asks about the autograph - she’s used to signing them all the time so she settles into the welcoming professional with ease and you expect it to go off without a hitch.

But then the fan proceeds to look right past Gabriel and over to you, holding up the book and pen and once the confusion wears off you’re taken aback when you realize that they’re actually asking you. It’s easy to see the shock on Gabriel’s face when they dart past her and over to you, and when you shoot her a nervous look, a lot less used to this than she it, you catch her expression startled expression and she lets a pout cross over her face for but a few moments. Even caught off guard, you still take the time to give them your autograph, listening to the fan excitedly ramble about how much they look up to you and how amazing you are as you do so. It’s enough to fluster you a little at being confronted with a barrage of praise from someone who views you so highly, but you’re still incredibly confused on why they would come to you - you’re so used to fans swarming Gabriel, so having a fan of your own and having the tables turned is a weird thought to wrap your head around. The interaction is brief, and you wish them well as they scamper off, brimming with joy and clutching their newly signed book close to their chest as they practically skip away,

You’re still trying to wrap your head over what just happened when you notice Gabriel watching the fan walk away she’s got a perplexed look on her face, brows furrowed in an expression unusually serious for the usually chipper idol. She’s not used to being passed over, especially when it comes to all things fan-based, so you can tell she’s still somewhat baffled, but when you call out her name she brightens up and spins back around to face you, smile on her face as she approaches you and links arms with you. She settles close up against your side, close enough that you’re pretty sure Hati would keel over on the spot if he saw you two, and she comments on how that was fun. You don’t think she’s jealous, but you can tell that the situation made her a bit embarrassed, so when she pulls you along to continue shopping and forget the whole thing you humor her and follow along letting her lead you.

Bathym

Bathym’s got quite the reputation both inside and outside of the Berserker’s guild, and he does his best to cultivate his growing fanbase, thriving off of the the people who adore him and vy for his attention and making no show of hiding that fact. Most of his fans swarm him after tournaments or just outside of the Colosseum, though most of them are usually handled by Andvari since he’s in charge of Bathym’s branding and merchandise. You’ve seen the occasional fan manage to find him and beg for pictures of autographs, so when you spot one hanging around while the two of you are out you don’t really bat an eye at the fact.

The two of you spot the fan approaching, they’ve been skirting around for a little while, clearly nervous about coming over but they seem to have plucked up the courage to come forward. Bathym flashes you a knowing grin and stands up, smoothing out his tail and perfecting his pose before he swaggers over to greet them, and you can already hear the sweet talk he’s gonna butter them up with before it even leaves his mouth as you watch it all unfold. You expect them to stop since he’s approaching them instead, but then they nervously duck right past him and continue walking straight towards you, and you immediately straighten up. Bathym looks flabbergasted when he turns back to you, the first time you’ve seen him genuinely astonished in a while, and you’re sure you look just as surprised when this fan shuffles nervously up to you and hesitantly asks if it’s okay to get an autograph from you, face red as they wait your response. The moment you hear they’re your fan, you just about fall out of your seat, scrambling to balance yourself if you ask if they’re serious.

When they say they are, and offer you a pen to sign you try to mask your surprise and give them a smile, asking them to take a seat next to you while you signed - it was mostly because having someone hovering over you expectantly felt a bit weird, but they seem to calm down having somewhere to sit, apparently relieved that you’re so welcoming as soon enough they’re talking all about how much they admire what you do, and how cool you are while you write out a small message for them. Soon enough you’ve got everything signed and handed back to them, watching their eyes light up as they spring from their seat and thank you profusely, nervousness turned to happiness by the time you’ve got them sent on their way.

Not even a moment after they’ve left Bathym hums as he approaches, shaking his head as he slides into the now vacant seat beside you and slings an arm across your shoulder. He pouts and comments how it makes sense that such a cute master is going to have fans, soon enough you’ll have a whole fanclub if you really wanted! Then, Bathym flashes you a grin as he adds that it looks like he’s gonna have to keep an eye out for competition from now on, after all, he can’t just let anybody come in and sweep you out from under him~! When you try to wave off his concerns and playfully swat him away he makes a show of feigning hurt though he insists that it’s true~! You just don’t realize it yet. It’s hard to tell if he’s telling the truth, or even how he feels about the whole thing, but that look on his face when that fan first approached you makes you feel as though Bathym was maybe a little envious - then again, it’s hard to tell when it comes to the usually eccentric demon.

Hakumen

Roppongi’s full of people of power, so it makes sense that its hierarchy is governed by such - whether it’s status, wealth or both, the more you have of it, the better. And with Hakumen being at the metaphorical top of the pecking order with the other major Tycoons, catching the eyes of the masses and bringing in the attention of all lucky enough to be in her presence is all par for the course. And by default, that means you often around when these interactions occur, so you’ve seen your fair share of people swarming the fox looking to get into her good books or at least earn some of her favor - it;s both entertaining and a little embarrassing to watch, but Hakumen handles them all well enough, and if she’s not interested in interacting them there’s always plenty of security to usher those ‘fans’ away soon enough.

You’d been invited to the casino, having been seemingly dragged along to view some new addition to the already impressively intimidating building to see how well it will fit, and you’d spent the majority of that time flitting about the pace. You’d exchanged words and shook hands with more unfamiliar faces than you’d like to be around, and you were relieved when Hakumen had shown up in a flurry of pride and energy, turning every eye in her direction. Almost every eye, anyway. You feel better no longer being on your own around unfamiliar faces, and you could see that your attachment to her at the moment clearly stroked her ego as she seemed keen to lead you around, mingling amongst guild members and discussing plans regarding the casino’s build. Most of it went over your head, so you eventually trailed behind to chat with Xolotl who kept watch as his mistress moved around, exchanging pleasantries right up until you caught someone moving out of the corner of your eye.

It was someone you’d never seen before, a guest maybe, and they were approaching Hakumen who stood in front of you so quickly that you were pretty sure that they were going right for her, excitedly yelling something about an autograph as they approached. As the fan got closer, Xolotl made a move to slow them down, but Hakumen, likely wanting to show off, waved him off with a hand and spun around, fully preparing for a slew of praises and things to sign. You’d stepped back a bit to let this all unfold, turning your attention to elsewhere in the casino while you waited for her to finish up, but upon hearing a surprised yelp from Hakumen’s bodyguard your attention abruptly snaps back to the current moment, just in time to nearly get knocked right off of your feet by that very same fan. Amongst their babbling as they cling to your arm you make out ‘autograph’, ‘please’ and ‘biggest fan’ and the pieces gradually begin clicking into place as you look up from the fan to see Hakumen, still frozen in the place she’d been before.

The expression on Hakumen’s face is priceless, you don’t think you’ve seen her quite so frazzled, jealousy practically bubbling under the surface of a facade you can clearly see through. Honestly seeing her like this is kind of amusing, though you don’t know whether it’s because you’ve got someone about five seconds away from jumping into your arms or because she isn’t the center of the fan’s attention. Xolotl looks worriedly between his mistress and you, and the two of you share a look that spells that this fan just hit a nerve without realizing it, so before anything else happens you calm the person down and pat yourself down looking for a pen. You’re fortunate enough to find one in your pocket, and make quick work of signing the autograph and letting them go, returning back to Hakumen’s side with a comment about how you don’t know how she deals with doing that every day. You’re playing into her pride hoping to change the subject, and it does the trick, however the moment you’re back by her side she’s got both hands on your shoulders for the remainder of the guests’ visit, shooting looks at the fan whenever the three of you cross paths and she thinks you aren’t looking.

Neurodivergence, and why I think Logan has ADHD

Hi, hello, I have a proposal. Neurodivergent Logan, more specifically, ADHD and maybe OCD. See, ADHD isn’t all “oh I can’t sit still! :(((”, it’s more like, “there are five essays I need to do, and three are due tomorrow but I haven’t started any because I don’t know where to begin,” among other things. ADHD comes in three different categories, but it’s best described as a grab-bag of traits. The most common three are Inattentive, Hyperactive, and a combination of the two.

The reason I say Logan may also have OCD is because OCD also is usually a buy-one-get-one-free thing with ADHD. Also, as someone who has both of these

disorders, I am pretty good at seeing the signs.

1. Logan can get ‘angry’ pretty fast, which I see as when he gets a bit overstimulation

Reasoning for this is us neurodivergent folk can get this way pretty easily if you know what makes us feel out of control. Logan gets angry and often raises his voice because he wants to regain control over his feelings. See, we feel emotions differently. We feel them way more deeply, and express them differently than our neurotypical counterparts. That’s why we often make others upset, and we usually don’t know why. We get so worried about hurting others, that sometimes we get hypersensitive to emotions. Especially our own, because we don’t know how to control them, so many of us just bottle them up. Then, when we get angry or riled up, our filter starts to break and we say things that we don’t mean, as we see in DWIT when Logan gets riled up and says to Virgil, “No, you’re just para- ...expressing an unhealthy amount of concern. Thank you for being on guard.” We see that he can catch himself, but sometimes the words come out faster and harsher than we can

control.

2. He often doesn’t get social cues

This is a big one. People who are neurodivergent learn pretty early that we’re different, and that we can’t decipher when someone is telling a joke. So what we do is just be logical and take everything seriously. Though we can’t really control the “taking things seriously” part, it’s a trait many of us have. We don’t pick up on tones or jokes, so some of us often feel left out. But let me tell you a secret, some of us can pick up on some tones and jokes. I certainly don’t speak for all neurodivergent people, but I can personally say that I consciously choose to play the part of ‘super logical and smart person who is oblivious’ because I don’t know what would happen if I stopped. You see Logan actively trying to pick up on things, and succeeding in some cases.

3. Harsh/strong emotions

This is something that I think is one of the traits Logan has the most. You see it all the time, his anger is fast and fiery, his happiness is bursts of light. Though because they’re so strong, we often get scared of them. So we bottle them up because some of us don’t know how to deal with them. Though this, ironically, makes them stronger.

4. Hyperfixations and interests!

It’s time to talk about this one, folks! Hyperfixations are, if you didn’t know, a thing/place/food/media that we fixate on and only do/talk about that thing. Interests, on the other hand, are the things we’re passionate about, but not like hyperfixations. Hyperfixations are bright, blinding, overpowering. You can’t do anything but that. Interests are like campfires, they’re still bright, that is true, but not as much and they last much longer. For Logan, his main interest is science. He loves it, but it’s not overpowering. He loves to talk about it, he loves when people listen. Though, many people find how we talk obsessively over things “annoying”. This brings us to our next point;

5. “You’re too loud!” or “you’re too boring!”

Hoooo-boy, I’m pretty sure all neurodivergent people know what I’m talking about. This one hurts, because we want nothing more than to be listened to and understood. We usually get told that ‘we’re too much’ or ‘too boring’ because of how we talk, or our mannerisms. Some of us, Logan in this case, try to be more interesting by learning things that would make us less boring. We see this one with Logan, with his flashcards of slang words. Since we often don’t get social cues (see above) the ones who do this can mispronounce and/or use them in the wrong context. But this is a fine line, you see. We don’t want to be a joke. Many of us have/are jokes to our peers because of how gosh darn DIFFERENT we are! You can see the predicament we’re in, can’t you? We want to be relatable, but because of our tendency to not get social situations we get made fun of. We hate getting made fun of.

Wow, this was a long one! But can you see why I think Logan is neurodivergent? His emotions are harsh, he’s passionate about science, and how he doesn’t get social cues. Now, there are many more things I could talk about, but I don’t want to write this and then not have people acknowledge this. This was supposed to be about how Logan is neurodivergent, but it ended up being an essay on neurodivergence. Well, hope you liked this mess! I sure loved writing it!

It’s totally fine to ask me, no worries! ♥

Regarding Teo, I would say I feel about him the same way as you do. Based on what we know about him (since we don’t know if Cheritz will retcon anything once the game is finally here), with the realistic art style and how he talks, Teo feels like a regular guy you could meet irl. He’s not necessarily an archetype like a vampire or CEO (not that there’s anything wrong with these tropes though!) He’s just a dude who likes ramen, who was a bit unsure of us at first based off our first interaction with him (yknow kinda like how you meet someone for the first time and you try to gage whether or not the two of you will get along). He has dreams like anyone else, especially when it comes to directing movies, which feels very normal to me when you consider all the movie makers on youtube who post their films to their youtube channels. (Teo's dream of becoming a film director like his Dad is the cutest thing ever istg-) With the crazy world of dating sims and their plots, especially cheritz games which have featured plot lines and characters like wizards, cu1ts, etc, Teo as a character just seems cozy and safe. (But again that's just my opinion and no disrespect to any other dating sims like that out there!) Teo's charm definitely lies in his sweetness but even so he manages to be relatable. As for the real world, it's an understatement that life and the dating scene can be very tough for people, so to have a character like Teo around, who's sweet and realistic, is very welcomed. Hopefully we'll get more info about him when the game comes!

As for the game itself, hoooo boy. The project’s announcement and the concept itself was so ambitious! It’s my personal hunch that the idea that there could potentially be a year’s worth of chats and the player could technically keep playing it forever is why production has taken so long. Kinda like with Omori and No Man's Sky where there was so much content being put into the project by the devs that it took forever to show the public anything and Cheritz probably thought it would be better to keep development under wraps because they can't show anything yet. It's kinda funny seeing the ssum fandom grow a second motivation for waiting for the game's release, the first one being to actually get the game and flirt with Teo, and the second being to see if the game will actually happen lol. I like how the game asks you the best time to talk for when you get up, eat lunch, etc. and I'm very curious to see what kind of customization we'll see as well since they were hints of being able to customize Teo's appearance (kinda lol) PIU-PIU's got such a cute design which reminds me of the lovecore aesthetic that I'm a Hugeeee fan of lol. Not to mention from what we've heard from the game's soundtrack, the majority of the music is so soothing and chill~ I was introduced to Cheritz through Mystic Messenger and that game absolutely blew me away when I played it so long ago, ever since, I've learned about Cheritz's other projects and its made me really excited to see what they'll develop next! Which is hopefully the ssum as I would love to see the game come to fruition and to be able to spend some more time with Teo!

okay, so I don’t make these kinds of posts often because tbh I’m a little lazy and very tired like 24/7 lmao but I’ve been seeing a lot of Pride reading lists hit my dash (and they’re excellent, and I save them all!) buuuut reading books is still a roadblock I’m struggling to mentally overcome -- and audiobooks are great, but they take 84 years (sometimes literally???) to get through. so! I thought I’d share a (very tiny) list of the queer manga I’ve read this year that you might enjoy for Pride, with some descriptions/trigger warnings/thoughts to go with them. so here we go in no particular order other than where they sit on my bookshelf:

What Did You Eat Yesterday? by Fumi Yoshinaga

okay so I know I go on about this manga at literally every presented opportunity, but I honestly just can’t help myself??? as a thirty-something queer adult, I really love the quiet maturity of this relationship between Shiro and Kenji; especially when it’s highlighted by references to shenanigans of their youth, and the ways in which they are still growing as both individuals and a couple. I’ve only read the first six volumes but I’m OBSESSED.

Status: Ongoing (17 volumes; 15 translated) Summary: Shiro and Kenji are an established adult couple with separate careers and interests, whose relationship is depicted over the meals cooked for them by Shiro. This doesn’t have an overarching plot, which might be off-putting for some readers; each chapter can be compared to a fanfic one-shot, usually containing it’s own tiny storyline or theme. It’s literally just domestic moments and meals shared between these men. Warnings: While I didn’t personally have a problem with this, younger readers might find some of the dated terms offensive. If you’ve spent any time with older queer folks (older as in 45-50+) this won’t be anything you aren’t used to, but if your experience of queer folx skews younger or online, you might get taken by surprise. There’s also some internalized homophobia; and by some I mean quite a bit. Shiro’s personal arc (at least in the first six volumes) heavily revolves around how much he closets himself and tries desperately to pass as “normal” in Japanese business culture.

Boys Run The Riot by Keito Gaku

holy shit holy shit holy SHIT. this story is so good??? so VERY good??? I was a little cautious, and a little bit uninterested in a story about teens (only because I’m in my thirties and crave more adult representation,) but I was VERY WRONG to be. Boys Run The Riot is beautifully drawn, beautifully written, and probably my favorite work on this list. the mangaka is also trans so the inherent understanding and nuance of our protagonist’s experience is really lovely. Also featuring a fantastic brotp between a trans boy and his new himbo bestie; no seriously if you want a story about a trans boy getting to have good broships with other boys his own age I CANNOT stress this enough. Volume two is releasing next month; I have it preordered. I’m laying on my floor wishing for time to hurry the fuck up. I need more of this smol angry trans boy and his big soft himbo bff. PLS. Status: Ongoing (4 volumes published; 2 translated) Summary: Ryo Watari is a second year high school student who is trans and struggling to feel comfortable with his very rigidly structured life at school, at home, and among his friends (to whom he is not out.) By chance he meets Jin Sato, a cis boy who also feels outcast (often judged for his appearance without any deeper thought.) When Ryo comes out to Jin in a state of frustration, Jin accepts who Ryo is and makes an offer -- why not start a fashion line that subverts all the expectations that have been put on them both; why not express themselves even when they’ve been told they shouldn’t. Warnings: Ryo is struggling with gender dysphoria, and it is written by someone who has probably experienced it, so it might be a little real for any trans folks who deal with that. Also, while neither the narrative nor Jin misgender Ryo (at least, not once he expresses to Jin that he is a man), Ryo is not out to anyone else and so he frequently is misgendered at school and we see how badly that impacts him and the way he views himself and processes his emotions. Ryo spends a lot of time being angry and trying to swallow it down, and that can be very raw to witness at times. There is also a depiction of unsafe binding (though the mangaka has an immediate note about binding safety, and goes further in-depth at the back of the manga.)

Our Dining Table by Mita Ori

okay, so I was a bit on the fence about whether or not I wanted to include this as a rec, but I decided that it might actually been what someone wants or needs, so here it is! while I really enjoyed this concept, and I’m always a sucker for found family stories (let me tell you I’m queer without telling you I’m queer, much?) it feels like this story is a bit rushed at times, and the romantic relationship between our protagonists is very blink and you’ll miss it. I don’t even want to call it subtle so much as it is just not remotely the focus of the story so it’s a little startling when it happens. but! if you’re looking for a story about adults processing grief and trauma together, and learning how to care for another person (and as a result, learning how to care for themselves,) this is a nice read that isn’t too heavy! Status: Complete (one volume) Summary: Yutaka is a salaryman whose past experiences prevent him from reaching out to others, even through something so simple as sharing a meal. Despite this is REALLY loves to cook, and wishes he had a reason to do it more often. Then he meets Minoru, and his muuuuuch younger brother Tane (it’s like a 17 year age gap between the brothers?) and finds himself teaching them how to cook, and overcoming his fear of eating in front of others. Warnings: Good news, there’s no overt homophobia in this story! Bad news, the other trauma makes up for it! We have a lot of trauma surrounding parental death, childhood bullying, and adoption; in addition to an actual fear of eating in front of others.

Our Dreams at Dusk / Shimanami Tasogare by Yuhki Kamatani

this is the first manga series I collected, and I’m still very pleased about that. the art is ABSOLUTELY stunning? the use of visual imagery and surreal analogies to explain queerness is fucking on POINT. I cried so hard during a couple of these volumes I developed a migraine. I only have one piece of critique on the whole thing (addressed in the warnings,) and I intend to do another re-read when I’m ready for the catharsis of sobbing into my pillow again. Like Boys Run The Riot, Our Dreams at Dusk is drawn and written by a member of the queer community (a non-binary mangaka, this time,) and as a result it hits pretty fucking close to home in a lot of ways. while I really love this series it’s super not for the faint of heart, you WILL come out of this reading experience with some things to unpack. Status: Completed (4 volumes; 4 translated) Summary: We mostly follow Tasuku Kaname, as he is outted at school by a classmate as being homosexual, and his initial despair and subsequent journey of acceptance. In this process, Tasuku finds himself at a drop-in center, which seems to primarily function as a safe space for queer people; we meet several lesbians, an elderly gay man, a trans character, and a young character who isn’t ready for any kind of label because they are still ??? about themselves and their identity. Each of these “secondary” characters is given room to breathe and to work through difficulties of their own while Tasuku watches and learns that even though life is hard sometimes, there’s beauty to be found in one’s own strength. Warnings: hoooo boy; well there’s all kinds of homophobia and transphobia; a character is outted against their will (multiple times), there’s some really insidious transphobia covered by “concern”, there’s internalized homophobia everywhere, and a very complicated asexual character whose presentation left me (as an ace) with super mixed feelings and a lot of frustration (though I wouldn’t call it bad necessarily; just wanted to put that out there for my fellow asexual folks.) If you have read (or go on to read!) any of these, please let me know! I’d love to chat about the stories, and hear your thoughts on them -- because we’re a broad/diverse community and our own experiences shape us differently and give us different insights. <3 ANYWAY, for those of you who read this monstrous self-indulgent post, thank you! That fragman is both the SWEETEST and the MOST OMINOUS thing I’ve ever seen. ALL AT ONCE.

Friends... we’re gonna go through some things. That being said, everything is going to be great. These writers have been solid so far, and I have faith they have come up with something really interesting to increase the longevity of this show. And I don’t know about you, but I’m prepared to go through some things if it means keeping Eda and Serkan for longer. (I heart them)

This show is about Eda and Serkan and their love story, at it’s core it’s a comedy, it will all lead to happy things, but... yeah, buckle up!

I have a lot of asks both about the fragman and last ep, so I’m going to answer a bunch under the cut.

You could be right! I like your thinking. I checked on twitter and I had to back away slowly. The juvenile temper tantrums were too much for me today.

Look, I think it’s clear something big is coming. It has to, there has to be something that shakes up the show. Some of the theories are more upsetting and catastrophic than others, but the writers won’t do anything that dings either character or their love for one another. Whatever happens will showcase the connection between these two and the chemistry between the actors, that’s the point of everything, and anything that does those things is gonna be a-okay with me.

@jan31 Hi Liza. Do you think we are going to see the wedding in 28 or they will leave it on a cliffhanger for next week. Lots of theories going round mainly cos of Neslihan saying new dimensions coming in episode 29, which could just mean married life etc. I have seen suggestions of memory loss, it's all a dream since episode one. I would personally love Eda to wake up like in episode one but for it to be a total turn around and she is the boss and Serkan the employee. Eda being robot yildiz appeals to me!!! I know it will never happen but leave me here with my dreams!!

I started the day at 90% sure they’ll be married in 28/29, but now I’m down to like 30% that they’ll get married in these episodes. I really, really want them to get married before whatever happens happens, because every scenario I can think of for this reset or starting again, seems like it would be better if they were married.

However, the shooting spoilers from today, make me question that. Namely the videos where Hande appears to still be wearing the ring on her right hand. We shall see, that could be for many reasons.

Honestly, though, I wouldn’t hate a memory loss storyline. Seeing one of them (and Serkan’s line in the trailer makes it seem like it might be him) lose their memory and have to fall in love all over again? There are worse fates for a shipper than getting to experience that all again but in a different way.

Today Neslihan made it worse by addressing everything and claiming she didn’t like all those Hande-bashing posts because... wait for it... she was HACKED. Oy. Hackers got in and went back two years to like gross posts about Hande? Sure, Jan. While I don’t believe that for a second, I guess that at least gives her cover with Hande so they can all pretend it’s true and move on so it’s not awkward on set. But, yikes, she needs to consult a publicist, she took a narrative that was circulating in certain circles in fandom and made sure all her followers were aware. Not very savvy.

As for the paps coming after Hande, yes I did see her in the car, she did look overwhelmed. Back off vultures!!! That’s why I think Kerem sometimes throws himself to the wolves so that doesn’t happen. She always handles them like a pro, but you can tell she’d rather be anywhere else on earth than talking to them.

The pap stuff is worse than I’ve seen before, they’re like vultures circling for any conjecture (sometimes made up out of thin air) they can turn into a question and blame fans. OUAT actors dealt with nothing like this. Also I can’t believe they never ask about the show. Like after last week? They could legit ask about the sex scene which probably would have given them some angle on the actors that they wanted, (especially since it was too hot for Turkish TV) but they let that pass them by, and instead asked the same questions about being together that they never answer. Dumbasses. They are not only awful people, they are awful at their jobs.

In Van, the paps pay off crew members for info, they always know more than fans. Also I don’t remember stars of my shows getting this level of tabloid attention before. Except for on Riverdale, Lili and Cole generated that level of interest, and while I didn’t pay terribly close attention to them, I feel like they rarely talked to the paps, were just photographed. Also I don’t suspected the CW of calling the paps on them, but I suspect either the network or production company of sometimes calling them on Hande and Kerem.

If they’d left his story at just going back to his country, then the Prince really wouldn’t have served his purpose. He was brought on to cause some sort of trouble, so they probably need him to cause the trouble before he goes, lets hope it ends with this kidnapping!

And to answer your question, yes, I do think it’s weird that neither trailer touched on it. On any other show I’d think it was a huge red flag, but on this show maybe not as much because a) there’s obviously a lot of romance in this episode, it’s not crazy that they are focusing on that to draw people in with the promos b) this show likes to do cliffhangers that end up being no big deal, that happens a lot.

Who knows it could turn out to be a big deal that shapes the rest of the episode in some unexpected way (Eda’s captured the whole episode and she’s dreaming about wedding prep, or... who knows) but I think it’s more likely that they resolve in the first 5-10 minutes and then move on. Since we know from the summary (not that I trust those) that Serkan goes on the bachelor weekend, it feels like the Prince is taken care of prior to that. I don’t think he’d leave her alone for a second if there was a chance the Prince was still a threat. Perhaps Babaanne is pissed he tried to kidnap Eda and tells them she’ll handle it herself???

You’re not wrong, at this point, having this wedding take place would be a shocking twist for all of us! As for Semiha... hmmm... it will be interesting to see what her reaction is to Eda being kidnapped by her pick of suitor. Serkan Bolat might be the son of the man indirectly responsible for her parents death, but he would never hurt her. Take note, Grandbag!

The ratings were terrific during the summer. But to your point, it has a huge fandom both in Turkey and internationally, but it’s worth noting that most of those charts you see where it beats every other show in every imaginable social metric is just for Turkey.

It’s one of those lightning in a bottle situations where you get the right property and the right actors together at the right time and magic happens. And, for sure, the number one reason is the shipping. Shipping drives fandom engagement, and a fantastic ship with a juicy, fun, tropey love story is what this show offers. It also offers up two extremely attractive, talented, likeable leads with off-the-charts chemistry (plus the added speculation about an off-camera relationship that has intrigued more than a few fans, tabloids and gossip sites and fueled interest) who have done a good job of building the fanbase through their social media engagement. Plus the timing is part of it as well. I don’t know about you, but this show hit the spot during this pandemic and the horror of 2020. We all needed this escape.

I don’t know about a switch flip, this show has been fanfic land since the first episode! The tropes! That is how I described it to multiple people when I first started watching: an AU fanfic come to life.

As for the writing changes, no, I don’t think backlash after 25 affected 26 or 27, because 26 was already 90% shot, and 27 already written. However, I assume they themselves could tell that 25 got just too dark and had strayed pretty far from the DNA of the series. While I didn’t think it was bad, it was not fun to watch and this show ought to be fun to watch.

Let’s hope, however, that the backlash affects future episodes in that they know what works... and what doesn’t. The last two episodes definitely felt reminiscent of the first batch of episodes. Light, funny, romantic. If they can keep that tone... I’ll be thrilled.

Yes, it was lovely. You know I’ve preached a lot about how even though Eda and Serkan were broken up, they’ve still been together all this time. And it’s true, but there is something about them truly being together that is magical. We never got enough of that the first time around (a writing mistake in my opinion) and they’re so good together it’s lovely to watch.

I just know that I want to see Serkan lose his mind and all the other characters see Serkan lose his mind and then I want it to be over. LOL.

That scene was amazing. I know Neslihan said that much of it was improvised. Probably that line from Serkan (since Serkan is SO out-of-his-mind in love I’m not sure he could even joke about having Eda only two nights a week! LOL) was improv from Kerem, and Aydan asking about the other nights, and Seyfi bringing up the weekend. And Eda’s very Hande-esque “Ser-KAN.”

I just love rewatching that scene and checking out everyone who is breaking character and just losing it. Cagri most of all. He’s blurred aback there but you can see Ferit spends the whole time laughing or trying to stifle a laugh. Reminds me of Cagri in the scene in 18 when they’re watching the security footage he was losing it in that scene as well.

Alright, Here’s my Ballot in it’s entirety. All 7 votes and 7 Characters that I voted for who I like.

1-Hrid: Okay, I love Hrid and I’m sad that we’ve haven’t seen any version of him since the second NY’s Banner with him on it. And his sister’s have gotten alts after that! (Bride!Fjorm, Summer!Gunnthra and Summer! Ylgr.) And even the Muspell sisters have gotten alt’s since then, too! They have summer versions and Laevatein just got a Ninja alt! WTH.

I hate it. I want more Hrid. I want another Helbindi. Give my boys more alts than just one!(Not counting their base forms as alts)

He hasn’t even been in any Forging bonds or ANYTHING and his sisters have been in them. Well, Fjorm and Ylgr at least I don’t know about Gunnthra.

And i’m not hating on the girl characters, I like Fjorm and Ylgr and all them I just wish IS would give the guys more love instead of focusing on giving the girls all of the alts.

They’re all Simps. That’s what they are. SIMPS.

I have a lot I want to say about Hrid but this will be VERY long and I don’t want it to be longer than It’s going to be. So..moving on for now...

2-Marth: Really, The only reason I voted for marth is because he’s been down in 3rd for the past few years and I really want to see him get his Brave Alt finally.

And then he’ll be out of the Options for Brave units and there can be a lot of other choices.

And as much as I love Gatekeeper I don’t want him to get in, but if he does gets in then he won’t be able to come back next year and the slot will be open for someone else.

If Gatekeeper somehow doesn’t hold second place then people are just going to vote for him next year.

Well, Back to Marth..I did diverge a bit...I haven’t played the games Marth is from but I know him from Smash, Although that being said I do like Marth and I actually have all versions of him. Normal, Groom, Legendary and Winter Marth. I HAVE THEM ALL.

I don’t have Resplendant Marth but I probably never will because I don’t pay for this game. F2P Dangit.

Anyway, I really just want to vote marth not just because I want to but because he deserves a Brave alt and he’s gotten robbed of it the last few times we had CYL.

Moving on to my third and I’m probably the only one who voted for him-

3-Ryoma: I love Ryoma. I’ve married him in both Birthright and Revelations, but when I got to the dreaded chapter 25 of Conquest, I probably cried harder than my in-game character did.

I played Birthright before playing Conquest and I can say if it weren’t for Ryoma’s existence I probably would’ve gone Conquest first. I did buy Conquest first and played through the first few chapters before the split, but when It came to the split I stopped when I realized I couldn’t choose the Hoshido side, and that was one of the things I didn’t like about the game.

I did eventually finish Conquest, but that’s only after I played through Birthright and...I actually liked the route a lot. Now, Originally I wasn’t going to go with Ryoma, I was actually originally going to marry Kaden or Kaze, but ended up with Ryoma because of his Honor and the way of the Bushido.

I don’t know what it is about characters that have the Honor and Bushido trait, but..I guess that’s my type?? Which is probably why I like 2003′s TMNT Leo a lot.

Alright again I could go on and on but I don’t want to make this a too long of a post so moving on-

4-Alfonse: Okay, Alright..This one could be long too but I’m going to restrain myself.

Well, I’ll say it. I like Alfonse. Especially in book 3 when he stood up to Hel. That was amazing! I hope he does that as well in this Book with Fafnir or..Otr? I guess whichever one. (I did like Otr when he was first shown but now I’m not so sure...)

I really want either a Legendary or Brave Alfonse, and I would love to see what they would do with him.

And this will probably never happen but a Duo alt with Hrid would make me very happy. (Like a Summer Beach Volleyball alt with Alfonse holding a beach-ball and Hrid holding Ice-cream to cool themselves off. Oooo I’d draw that but I’m not a good artist, sooo.)

Okay Okay, I said I would restrain myself and I am. I’m moving on before I rant about Alfonse some more.

And the next vote goes too...OH. The other character I could rant all day about.

5-Grima: Yes, GRIMA. Not the Female Robin Version but Male Robin.

This is another type I like but It’s nice character’s who’ve been possessed by evil beings, or give themselves to darkness? (Like Jesse/Johan from Yugioh GX?? Or Riku from Kingdom Hearts?!)

Although I actually like the actual Dragon form of Grima more than the Robins and would like him to have his own human form instead of possessing Robin, but i’ve never played Awakening and don’t know if there’s a reason for that.

Having them come out with a Halloween Alt for the Female version makes me a bit hopeful for a Male alt but not a lot because apparently IS just likes to make all the alts for girls and not guys?? Like please I want more of my favorite guy characters with alts. How am I supposed to Simp for my favorite boys when the don’t even give them alts?? Like Hello?? There aren’t just guys in the world who play FEH there’s girls, too??

But let’s be honest, Even if we get another Male Grima will he even have the exposed Tid? I don’t know and that scares me.

Once again, Just give me my boys, IS!

6-Scarlet: Hoooo Boy Scarlet. So I was a bit jealous of Scarlet in Revelations when she was talking about Ryoma, and then I felt bad a few scenes earlier.

Which made me wish I had completed her bonding events in Birthright, I only ever got up to C rank.

Uhh, So I voted for Scarlet because I realized I’ve just been voting all guys and even though Eirika and Byleth are in the lead I’m still voting for the characters that I want.

And scarlet is one of them. I know it wouldn’t be enough to get a brave alt but I wouldn’t mind if IS gave us normal Scarlet or a certain other Alt that comes later in the year but before Brides and Summer that I won’t talk about.

I did like Scarlet in Birthright and in...Revelations...and after what happened in Revelations I felt really really bad for her?

I hope she gets in at some point. I would actually summon for Scarlet if they put her in. However she gets in.

And the final vote iiis(I don’t know why I’m doing this I have the whole battle ballot screenshot shown, so everyone can already see who I voted for)

7-Orochi: Orochi. Needs. To. Be. In. The Game.

Out of all the fates Characters we have, I’m surprised we still don’t have Orochi. I don’t remember well but I think she’s one of Mikoto’s retainers?? It’s been a very long time since I played fates so I don’t know.

Umm...That’s pretty much the only reason I voted for her. I love Orochi and I’m sad she’s still not in the game yet.

This is one of the few times I want IS to give me a female character, the other would be Scarlet and probably Nyx if I had another vote. But..well...Hmm..

Okay, That’s all the votes and the rough and hopefully short enough explanation of why I voted for each character.

I’m tired of writing, my hand’s getting cramped so if there’s something I need to add I’ll do it later. Gotta rest my hands for now and probably watch people try and Summon for Seiros.

HCs for Todoroki, Deku, and Bakugou on their reactions when their (s/o) is ill, but trudges through their ailment to support these guys (despite the boys’ protests not to) in the Sports Festival and passes out in the audience due to the illness and fatigue, resulting in quarantine, please?

Sorry for the wait! God… you can really tell I don’t write for Bakugou enough by how off topic I am. I just have so much to say about this lovable dick that I don’t typically have the opportunity to

Midoriya:

When you first began to show symptoms of sickness, Deku became a worrying mess and found himself slacking off on training despite the sports festival being so soon

Not that he really needed it, but it’s Deku

Like I said before, he’s a total worrywart. We know this about him! No matter what it is, he is an absolute anxious mess. You’d better not tell him that you came out to watch him anyways!

He knows how much it means to you, and while you got good seats as a result of being in general studies, you could always watch it from home! It was broadcasted nationally, and it’s not like you would miss anything; they did a pretty good job covering all of the details!

We’re gonna go with the scenario where you don’t tell him you came out to support him, because if you did he simply wouldn’t participate until you caved in. Deku is a chaotic force of good and more importantly, incredibly fucking stubborn. I know he’s a sweet boy, but good God he does NOT take no for an answer. Kid doesn’t listen for absolute shit!

In the middle of the festival, he notices a little bit of a commotion in the crowd but shrugs it off; he’s gotta make sure he impresses you, since you’re supposedly watching him on the television!

It’s not until afterwards that he hears about it, being informed that you’ve been put on quarantine as well

Let’s just say he is heartbroken. More than anything, he was looking forward to coming back to the dorms to pay you a visit and relax after a long, tiring day. With the sports festival off of his chest, he can take care of you without being so stressed about it… Except, that’s not the case

Since you’re contagious, you’ve been sent to your own house. That way the sickness doesn’t spread, and you can be properly taken care of

As soon as he gets permission to, he is on his way! ...Only to be greeted at the door by a family member who shoos him away, since you are quarantined after all

Deku would (impatiently) wait it out with you, trying to make it as easy as possible. He’ll run to all of your teachers collecting work, and even try to do some of it for you. He does spend a lot of time studying, after all, so you don’t have much to worry about

He had the next two days off after the tournament to recuperate and rest, which was spent almost entirely on FaceTime with you, showing you his new injuries (we all know it happened, the boy has no rationality), trying to help you with your makeup work by the tutoring the best way he can, and fawning over your tired but loving expression. Actually, mostly just that last part

Delivery man Deku! He’d pick up all of your favorite snacks, candies, and bottled drinks, then deliver them personally to your house. Being shooed away the last time though, he opts to leave them in a woven basket with a poorly tied bow and a note in the bottom, which is just for you

Todoroki:

While he would be worried about you, he ultimately believes that it’s your decision on what you do. If you wanna come to the sports festival and watch him he won’t stop you, but he can at least try and persuade you by telling you just how he feels about it

That’s not to say he isn’t disappointed, though. Like Deku, he wouldn’t know that you had passed out until after the festival; either because he’s so focused or even because he’s just too dense. It could even be a combination of both, knowing him

Shouto would be quick to chastise you, almost akin to Bakugou in the way he wastes no time in telling you just how you fucked up. However, he’s still timid and suffers from commitment issues stemming from insecurity and his upbringing. He’s just as quick to apologize, sighing and wishing you get wells from the bottom of his heart

The sports festival is long off of his mind by now; to be honest, he didn’t really care about it in the first place. Whether or not you saw it is beyond him, although he appreciates the thought

He knows better than to try and come see you while you’re quarantined, but he doesn’t really give two shits. If he gets sick that’s his own problem, so he won’t stand for being denied time with you; he’ll at least take precautions and wear a mask, though.

Besides, you’re in this situation because of him. Even though he stands by his stance on this being your choice, he still feels deep down like it’s his fault

Shouto is sort of the awkward type in this stage of your relationship, so he won’t necessarily go out of his way for you. He’d gather your work for you since he’s still at the school, but if he’s unwelcome in your home due to the sickness he won’t fight it or show up again.

Still yet though, he misses you and is worried more than he would like to admit. Lots of random calls and texts from him

He would spend all day looking for those cutesy heart edits and sending them to you, or finding shitty memes and teasing you over them, saying it reminded him of you

ONE MORE THING: He’s sappy as shit, and being inexperienced and sort of isolated from society in a way (he didn’t even know what a concert was) he’d try and stick to cheesy romantic ideals. This man would write you a whole ass poem to give to you with some chocolates whenever you returned to the dorms, waiting on your bed

Bakugou:

The most assertive in telling you to stay home. He’s hyper aware of your sickness and how it spread, but most importantly aware of how badly it’s going to affect you. Let him catch you coming anyways and he’ll kill you

Because he’s so knowledgeable on the topic, he’s easily the most worried by far. It’s not that he’s scared for your safety so much, but more so your general wellbeing. Katsuki is miserable whenever he’s sick, so the thought of you going through the same thing is almost agonizing for him

He acts like a total mom and you can’t change my mind on this. Also, I don’t agree with fanon Bakugou being arrogant and hateful towards his s/o. This man is putty in your hands, and although he acts annoyed at times he prioritizes making sure that you’re comfortable and know how he truly feels. He’s always had trouble communicating his feelings because of his relationship with his mother (we all love her but I will die on this hill) and as a result of it, is honestly terrified of fucking up and losing you by being too closed off

Anyways though, back to the point: he would be a total mom when you’re sick! Bossing you around, don’t do this, eat this, breathe some of this in, here, have some tea- It’s honestly exhausting having to listen to whatever miracle cure he’s concocted for you next, but you know he at least means well. He really does go above and beyond for his s/o, especially when they’re unwell. The most important part in a relationship to him is being able to lean on each other when you can’t stand up on your own, and by God he’ll carry you for as long as you need him to. Literally and figuratively

I know I’m going off on a tangent but I just have so much to say about my interpretation of Bakugou: he’s the boyfriend who insists on trying to fix all of your problems instead of just listening to them, and it’s one of the most frustrating things

ALSO BAKUGOU DOES NOT, CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF, CALL HIS S/O NAMES LIKE ‘IDIOT’ AND ‘BASTARD’. HE DRINKS HIS RESPECT (WOMEN) JUICE

Katsuki is very intuitive; even though you most likely lied about staying home to get him off your ass, it doesn’t take long for him to know that you’ve come anyways, and HOOOO BOY is he pissed (not that he’d ever take that aggression out on you, though. He’ll save that for the finals)

His head is swirling throughout nearly the entire tournament, and he’s thrown completely off of his game. On a typical day, he’d be trying to show off for you and flexing whenever he can while flawlessly demolishing his opponents, but this time he only makes it into the top ten

Like Deku, he would want to spend as much time with you as possible, even if it’s over FaceTime. He tends to be a little paranoid over germs, though, so since it’s not like you live together he won’t pay any visits to your house. Quarantine means business!

However, though, he will prepare a nice little surprise in your dorm room for when you come back. A carefully decorated array of dried flowers, candies, and small snacks. Katsuki prides himself in all that he does and strives for perfection in every aspect of life; this is no exception. He lives to impress you!

Once you’ve beaten the worst of the sickness, he cracks down on you and will begin to act like he’s a professor on Zoom; man schedules FaceTime meetings between the two of you for him to catch you up on everything that you’ve missed.
