In the middle of all this 457 chaos there's me that lowkey ships junho and the salesman/ the recruiter/ddakji guy or whatever you're calling him

I mean have you look at them, imagine the banter we could've got

Like there's junho, a detective who's been trying to find his brother only to be led up to a brutal kids game competition in some sketchy island and also finds out the person who controls the said game is his very own brother that he's been searching for a long time that is also a previous winner in the game

And then there's the salesman (some people call him ddakji or dak ho) who's been trained to kill, to see people that played the games is lower than him like a trash since he was a teenager probably, who doesn't even know the purpose of life anymore, a literal mess, a maniac. That's also probably the one that recruit junho's brother into playing the games(a theory not sure if that would makes sense)

Just imagine that, I could write a few headcanons if anyone interested

And yes yes I know they didn't even interacted once for SHIT(and the only time they ever see one another was when one of them already died and the one died never also see him or does he?)

It's wild to me that I had heard of the prime Kirk/Spock content in various TOS episodes long before I saw them, but had never heard of what IMO is the shippiest moment of all thus far, in an interestingly O_o goddamn I do not want whatever you two have but you do you?? holy shit though what a moment way.

I'm of course referring to the otherwise rather mid episode "Requiem for Methuselah," in which Kirk has an underwritten love affair with a clueless woman whose various secrets have to be discovered before her inevitable death.

At one point in this relationship, her.......uh, guardian??? sort of???????? had Spock play the piano while she and Kirk waltzed, which (in-story) Spock did perfectly while somehow managing to silently exude even more intensity than usual. After the plot (and her life) were over, we end not with the usual cheerful bit of snark on the bridge that ends most episodes, but with a weary Kirk falling asleep with his head on his arms and Spock hovering not for away. McCoy exposits the last bit of detail and then goes on an unprompted and honestly pretty viciously racist speech about how Spock, unlike Kirk, will never suffer from the joys and travails of love because of his inherent lack of feeling as a Vulcan. The speech is longer than usual and just really mean-spirited as McCoy waxes rhapsodic about all the aspects of passionate true love that Spock will not and cannot experience as a Vulcan before he just leaves.

Spock then turns to look at Kirk, and now just bleeding intensity, takes a few slow, deliberate steps towards the sleeping Kirk, lays his hand against Kirk's cheek and neck, and then very obviously mind melds with the sleeping Kirk while murmuring, "Forget."

Is this healthy respectful behavior that honors Kirk's autonomy? No, obviously. Is it god-tier repressed homoerotic passion between two people who should probably just work their issues out and stop inflicting themselves on anyone else? Yes.

You know, I’ve been thinking about something. In most fics, In-ho tells Gi-hun that he reminds him of his wife (though I don’t really remember if he actually said that in the show or not).

If that’s really the case, then both of them see each other as a reminder of their past loves. Like, every time Gi-hun sees In-ho, he thinks of Sang-woo, and every time In-ho sees Gi-hun, he’s reminded of his wife. No matter how I look at it, I just can’t see anything healthy in this relationship 🤣🤣.

Because if that’s the case, then they don’t really love each other for who they are—they’re just holding onto ghosts of the past.

(I don’t know why I keep looking for a sign that proves they truly love each other, even though I know it’s impossible :))) )

Maybe it’s because I’ve been adulting for a few years. I just don’t think that just because you fell in love once you will be looking for the ghost of that person in everyone else.

On In-ho’s side it’s been about 8 years since his wife passed. I’m sure there’s remorse there, but my interpretation for him is more that he closed himself to any emotion or love until Gi-hun brought that longing in him. When he says “you remind me of my wife” to me that’s because Gi-hun has similar traits In-ho begrudgingly admires—stubbornness and self-sacrifice, not the literal meaning.

I also don’t think Young-il reminds Gi-hun too much of Sang-woo. Their personalities are not similar beyond the haircut. Sang-woo was very reserved and closed off – and 001 was not that.

Also while I can see Sang-woo being a childhood crush, Gi-hun got married and had kids after that. He doesn’t strike me as the type of person to marry Eun-ji as a placeholder. He’s too kind for that. So he must have had more than one love already.

They are nearing their 50s too. I just don’t see this one as being the issue that makes them impossible 😅
