the thing i love so much about ciro and astarion so far is that they both just Need Someone. ciro isn't really fooled by astarion's flirting and charm. they don't believe him when he says 'hello, beautiful' or calls them 'my love'. they're so aware that astarion has an angle and some reason for getting close to them beyond wanting them. but they just don't care? it just feels nice to be wanted, and they were going to protect astarion anyway, so what's the harm?

Big fan of sun motifs in characters not necessarily being about positivity and happiness and how they're so " bright and warm" but instead being about fucking brutal they are.
