I realize I’m simplifying something nuanced here for the sake of a poll, so don’t hesitate to share why in results! 💕
#it depends for me#there are some existing characters that i've been writing for well over a decade now that feel so familiar and cozy to write#their voices are so easy to slip into#but then i have some OCs that are the same#in general i think existing characters are easier because i have a voice to go off of instead of having to pull it out of my brain#it's why i can write fanfic so much quicker than original stuff
