I don't think any of the post crash Curly conversations have anything Curly would actually say after this point in time. They are not Curly nor his current sentiments

Not even the "I want to go home." Curly can't say what he wants or not. It's all Jimmy's perception of what Curly's desires were and are and Jimmy's himself. It's Jimmy entering the same but warped stagnating headspace Curly was stuck in at the beginning of the game.

An oppressive bright space with all the dead ends and burnouts you could foresee paired with a dark empty void of things that spark but are never quite as bright?

#they are foils ur honor! but anyway i think we forget that those Curly's aren't some like real look into his mind but Jimmy replaying those #last good conversations and trying to force himself they were said in reassurence a full certainty he knew curly couldn't or would never #give him in the situation we can never really know what any other character is thinkin g and only Curly to an extent. Detroit Become Human and why does this game decide that the problem in society is individual people treating androids poorly because those androids are choking them out of the workforce and NOT the corporations and governments who deliberately designed the androids to do this

I feel like this is a good time to remind my followers of the full-circleness of it all; the 2001 Queen of the Damned film with rockstar Lestat featured songs composed by Jonathan Davis of Korn, my absolute favorite singer throughout my teenage years (and to this day, lbr). Before getting into IWTV I enjoyed those songs on their own, having no real idea of what they were supposed to be about. Now, we're getting actual rockstar Lestat, and looking back relistening to those nu metal rockstar Lestat songs, knowing that the singer that's been absolutely formative for me is singing from the pov of Lestat (and Akasha), a character that's become such a big part of my life as well.

it's just yet another way everything is connected and the world's smaller than you think.

Anyway if you haven't heard his original compositions for QOTD that he himself sings on the soundtrack, they're really, really good- System, Forsaken, Careless, Redeemer, Slept So Long, Not Meant For Me... give 'em a listen! He's done all of them live many years later too, and there's great recordings of those.

#for context. a few weeks back i was playing on a fast respawn 2fort server #mostly because i just wanted to just. hang out somewhere without any real serious gameplay happening #that said. for the first few hours i was playing on there. was mostly playing gunslinger engineer and detonator pyro #and we had a good push up into their base but were stuck just at the entrance. with a heavy hold from the enemy team #but after a while. i just kinda got bored and wanted to just fuck about with the taunts and loadouts i had #first thing i did was play pyro and do the cheers taunt before getting on my bike and swerving a bunch as i drove #but i dont think anyone could tell thats what i was doing #so after a bit i just changed to scout. and started just riding my skateboard #(i also did the drinking and riding bit a few times but i eventually just ended up skateboarding around)#(one bit being me on the top of the bridge. doing the cheers taunt. getting on my board. and then skating off the bridge and killbinding)#so at some point. i kept getting stuck in place for some reason. like speficially on bumpy ground or... in the air #and the moment i got stuck in the air (for 30+ seconds mind you) i was just like ''my quantum board technique''#and from there. i just acted as if i was playing the newest Pro Skater game #saying stuff like ''i have to do manual ollie combo for 150000000 points''#or like ''i have to find grindrails on this level''#eventually found my way into the sewers and said something like ''IVE FOUND THE HALF PIPES''#before saying like ''man they really screwed up the physics since the last game''#a soldier on the other team was trying to find me the whole time saying ''wheres tony hawk''#specifically because he had a tony hawk avatar. and i only realized after he said something about it #anyway. after all that i skateboarded into a minisentry and died #and my last message was supposed to be ''my combo has ended'' but i ended up typing 'bombo'#and it made me laugh SO hard i couldnt backspace. and added on with ''my sweet bombo''#and then i left because i had nothing more to do there. my bombo had ended and i had to move on.

Man idk the argument about hvy being a Chinese company and so they're restricted on having characters with dark skin tones when dislyte is ALSO a Chinese company and they typically are really good at representing the culture they take from for their characters makes it somewhat mute

#Like ppl aren't even asking to make new body models literally just to slap on your darkest (which isn't even that dark mind you!) skin tone #On the characters that is inspired by mostly brown/black cultures #Also it a bad look when you can perfectly design enemies in those regions of having various cultures design such as dreadlocks but -#Not on your playable 'good guys' 😬#Natlan update is gonna be a mess with it characters I'm hoping it won't be as tone deaf like what happen w sumeru #The jeht world quest still fucks with me with how racist paimon became for that like jfc orz #Especially since with dislyte they got in trouble with the character design (half animal and death features) that they made alt costumes bu #Never touch the feature of any of their more ethic diverse characters like lmao? It also very popular least I think it is #Like it definitely feels like hvy is either doing this on purpose or they're too cowardly to try and even properly design character inspire #By real ppl which is like why you taking real life ppl/figures n half assing it as if you were force to design them??
