Everyone thinks that dick was the golden child when in reality it was Jason.

shen yuan being animal obsessed to the point he starts trying to take everything remotely friendly home with him so one day returns with the xianxia equivalent of a scraggly possom that hisses at everyone it sees and that is definitely poisonous while still insisting its a little baby that needs a home

airplane never really expanded on the common creature worldbuilding in pidw like pigeons and cats and rabbits and raccoons, so shen yuan started filling in the blanks himself and oh boy did he fill it wrong. he pets a fox-like creature the size of a cow with horns and hooves like it's a horse not knowing that would be like trying to pet a grizzly bear. he coos over the owl-cats that live under overhangs and in dusty attics and really really wants one until liu qingge has to drag him away because they're some of the most awful aggressive pests you can have that swoop down on people and claw their faces open when they're mildly displeased.

one time he walked onto his peak with a six-legged spotted weasel in his sleeve bc it's so cute he just couldn't leave it!! not knowing said weasel is known as one of the most vicious predators because they tear through the calf muscles to cripple prey ten times their size and then eat them alive

however, because shen yuan has the disney princess subclass with a +7 proficiency in animal handling, it never goes wrong. he pets the fox-stag without an issue and it even allows him to climb onto its back. the owl-cats love him and happily play with his robes and fetch things for him. the six legged weasel lazes around the bamboo house all day and loves to be pet. the scaggly possom hisses at and hates everyone except shen yuan.

every other animal had to leave, except the possom. that is a fight they did not win. yue qingyuan only has so much strength and those teary eyes are lethal

GOOD OMENS — Chapter 5: The Ball.

Eldritch/not-entirely-human Grunkle Stan stories have been eating away at my brain, so I have a silly little concept of Mimic!Stan.

He and his Mystery Shack are both mimics that lure tourists in as a literal "tourist trap" to gather and devour them! Since the house is alive, it raises a few (read: several) child safety concerns that lead to a LOT of rules to be created for Dipper and Mabel to follow when they eventually arrive, such as:

Be careful not to get lost in the winding hallways! The Mystery Shack is bigger on the inside, and you don't want to end up in the wrong areas.

Don't go through randomly appearing doors, they may eat you.

If you think you feel the walls around you breathing and the floor beneath you shifting, no, you don't.

If you think the walls feel a bit damp, you're imagining it.

Watch your fingers around windowsills! You wouldn't want to lose any of them.

Don't linger too long under the doorframes; it may start feeling like they are slowly constricting around you.

Ok fiiiine I don’t even really go here but my brain conjured up the idea of Steve Harrington, pre season 4, like after school picking up the kiddos after Hellfire, defending Lucas’s sports playing to his friends and Eddie. Like “wait I thought you liked nonconformity, or does it only count if it’s about the stuff you like? Let the kid do the things he likes, man”. Which is something they all need to hear I think but then it turns into Steve COMPLETELY obliviously and accidentally turning it into “it’s ok to be Bi” subtext.

Like “you can be more than one thing, you know? It’s ok to like both. They don’t have to cancel each other out.”

And the kids maybe aren’t picking up on anything but maybe one or two of them are subconsciously like “you can??? This is good to know and keep in my mind for future crises” meanwhile Eddie is like “Holy fucking shit is STEVE HARRINGTON bisexual?” and being launched head first into a crisis of his own.

It is so, so important to me that Steve has no idea that he’s doing this, and may not even be aware that he himself is, in fact, bi.

Lilia blinked, taken aback by the astute observation, that Zelda had so easily and efficiently come to the right conclusion. Or at least closer than most people ever got, if they ever attempted to guess at all.

"Yes, at least, I think it must have been. When it happens, I don't--" Lilia paused, swallowing, feeling herself getting overwhelmed. "I have these gaps." Lilia put a hand to her forehead, trying to calm the thoughts in her head, to arrange them in some kind of order that would make sense, that would make a comprehensible explanation. "I don't remember when it happens, not until..."

She trailed off again, finding it difficult. How do you explain something that was confusing even to yourself? That time wasn't a straight line, but had no shape, no form at all, that her life, her experiences, were completely out of order, random and unpredictable?

"Ever since I was a child, I've experienced my life....out of sequence."

Zelda slowly nodded in confirmation and waited patiently for an explanation, any explanation for what she had witnessed. All the while her mind spun, never landing on a conclusion of her own. She was by no means known to be a patient person, but she felt perhaps this required some measure of it, so she waited.

The answer she received was certainly nothing she would have expected, and several more questions arose to take the initial's place.

"Another conversation," she repeated, mulling it over and crossing her arms as she considered the witch. "Do you mean a conversation that has yet to occur? Does this sort of thing happen often?"

wait I think I know why Sebastian hates being flashbanged

Okay so my marine biology phase from middle school that never really disappeared came back so I was planning abilities asylum!Sebastian got from his weird genes. Behold:

Anglerfish- Gave him the angler lure obvious and possibly any bioluminescence

Blue Whale- As a lovely anon informed me Sebastian is almost 63 ft long

Mantis Shrimp- Punches at the speed of a .22 caliber bullet

Silver spinyfin- Deepest living known fish, can withstand 5000 atmospheres of pressure, also have 38 color seeing cells (cones) as compared to humans' 3 to 4 and are very light sensitive, which is probably why the flash beacon pisses Sebastian off so much

Sea Snake- Neurotoxin venom

Great White- One of the animals kingdom's highest bite strengths, can bite through solid bone or boat hulls. Also can feel the electrical signals given off by living creatures with horrifying accuracy up to several hundred feet away
