can I maybe get Ursula and a fem ready who REALLY love to gossip and have like a set tea time and everything
Hey Anon! Of course you can! Please enjoy!
"Tea Time"
Pairing(s): Ursula x F! Mermaid! Reader
Summary: You and your wife talk about your week, as is your long-standing tradition.
Rating: PG
Warnings: None, Fluff, reader referred to as "darling" and "love", slight OOC Ursula
W/C: 335
---------------------------------------------------
"Sorry I'm late," you practically yelled, racing through the cave entrance. "One of your little creatures grabbed me and wouldn't let go until I gave it practically half of the shrimp."
"Don't stress yourself, darling," your wife called out from the little table on the opposite wall. "I just finished setting the table."
"Wonderful," you smiled. You and Ursula had been having these sort-of 'tea times' since before you were even dating. They'd started as a fun way to tell each other about how your week had been going, and eventually, they became a more official drama spilling time once a week.
You made your way over to the table, setting out your fresh-caught shrimp on a shiny silver platter you found in a shipwreck a few years back. "Now, what's up with you?"
"Not much this week." Ursula remarked. "Oh! Morgana sent news from wherever she's been hiding. She sends her regards."
"Nice to hear. I, on the other hand, had a rather interesting week." you responded.
"Oh, do tell. I'm sure one hears all sorts of things when not confined to a secluded cave," your wife said, clearly intrigued.
"Well, for starters, one of your nieces got married on Tuesday. Adella, I think."
"How... touching."
"Yes, very." you deadpanned. "And, my favorite shrimp stand guy is moving to the Pacific, so I have to find a new one. In top of that, Triton has been acting weird lately. I think it has something to do with Ariel and Eric's new brat."
"Sounds like you had an eventful week." Ursula sounded more than a little bitter. "Why do you even stay here when there's so... much happening in the kingdom?"
"Because, my love," you moved around the table to plant a kiss on her cheek. "You're here. Where you are, I am. Where you go, I follow."
"In that case..." Ursula said teasingly, "We shall travel the seven seas together, if you wish to come."
You beamed at your wife. "Of course I will!"
---------------------------------------------------
A little rushed, but still pretty good, I think!

actor!au with bakugou where you’re on the press tour for your up and coming princess movie or something.
Tumblr media
of course he’s the romantic interest to your character, the lead, so you’re paired together for the entire junket — seated with one another for interviews across the globe. the whole experience is filled with laughter, smiles, and sharing little facts about one another behind the scenes.
you’re always the first person bakugou searches for on the red carpet at each premier — he reaches for your hand during photos and sneakily slips one around your waist to subconsciously pull you closer towards him.
the fans all think that you’re in love from the way katsuki hangs into your every word when the two of you are stopped for questions. the way he whole heartedly laughs, with his whole body, at a joke you’ve told that’s probably not even that funny.
it’s probably not true. you’re just coworkers who spent months getting to know one another. coworkers who’ve kissed more times than you can count with one hand and who’ve shared secret snacks on set because the days were long and hot but totally worth it for the smiles little girls and boys give you when their princess and her prince bend down to give them a squeeze.
you know that you’ll miss bakugou when this is all over and the movie is out and you’re not showing up to red carpets trying to guess if the PR team will have coordinated your outfits to match those of the final scene in the movie when your characters get married. you’ll hope to work with him again, secretly, praying that you get to be close to him once more.
the final straw that breaks the camels back and gets you to realise that maybe you like bakugou a little more than just co-stars is when you’re both invited for a special interview with big fans of your princess film. children not older than eight or nine wriggle in front of you both with curious questions and katsuki is equally as charmed as you by the costumes they wear that link up with your characters.
for the most part they ask you silly questions like the hardest thing about being a prince or princess, what time you have to wake up for filming and your favourite foods (to which you tell them “he likes spicy tofu, the kind that makes you breathe fire!” and bakugou replies with “are you tellin’ ‘em i’ve got bad breath?” and that makes the kids laugh). but then, the little boy sitting opposite bakugou grows shy and timid towards the end of your time together and the blonde stops the interview from ending so that he can get his question out.
“how did you know that you were in love with her?”
your heart flutters, and you don’t have the heart to tell the poor boy that your acting is make believe and for the silver screen — but bakugou beats you to it, ruffling the kid’s hair fondly.
“i knew ‘cause i was always lookin’ for her whenever we entered a room. she was the first person i saw, the last person i’d want to see,” he rasps, the wisps of a smile on his lips despite the cameras rolling and capturing what feels like a love confession towards his costar. towards you. “i knew ‘cause she was always so kind to me even when i didn’t deserve it, to people who doubted her, to people who loved her. s’been a while since i realised, guess i never said anythin’ but if you like a princess, kid — make sure you tell her before a handsome prince snatches her up first.”
the boy grins eagerly at the blonde’s answer and filming wraps up from there. “they’ll have to cut that bit out,” you say softly, making your way back to the dressing rooms with katsuki. “to avoid scandal, probably.”
but he cocks his head, rolling his eyes at you as if you hadn’t understood a word he’d said. “it’d only be a scandal if it weren’t true. i meant what i said. i like you, dummy.”
you lean against the dressing room door, mouth agape. “w-why didn’t you say anything before?”
“because i was just worried that my princess had already been swept off her feet by her handsome prince.”
“by you, i’d been swept of my feet by you. stupid.”
you take a step back and bakugou follows you forward, caging you in. “guess that makes me your prince charming.” he quips, leaning down to your height.
tilting your head upwards, you smile gently and let your hands rest on katsuki’s broad shoulders. “you’ve been playing that part for the last few months, have you not.”
“yeah, ‘guess i have,” he mirrors your expression, lips brushing over yours in a real true loves kiss.

Yandere Genderbend Ariel x Reader
Well, what were you supposed to say when you saw some girl come out of the water singing with a shell on her neck? But for your parents, it was perfect grounds to leave you with a forced 'apology gift' of being the head planner for their wedding ceremony. You felt it was ironic that was your 'punishment' when your the king and queen spent a whole day with your sister being hypnotized and hadn’t noticed–but whatever. You didn’t mind and in the end, Erica admitted she never blamed you. You’d do this not only to get your parents off your back but for your sister even if her groom was a hopeless case.
“No Arrel! Don’t put that in your mouth!“
“But it looks just like–”
“It doesn’t belong there! Spit. It. Out.”
Perhaps this was why they didn’t bother, they knew you’d have a hard time educating the merprince. Since his negotiated stay for the wedding and there on a switch occurred: while the prince is on land the princess navigates the sea. It was Triton’s final stipulation, her only way to test and know the woman meant to take away her darling boy.
“How is he fairing?”
“Your Highness…he’s got a ways to go…”
You lifted your shoulders up as you moved your hands like a seesaw. Facing the magical reflection of the Queen of Atlantica, who twirled her trident and stroked her braid.
“Ah I know that tone…my Arrel is so much like his father…a little scatterbrained, yes but his heart was always in the right place.”
Surrounded by smile lines she reminisced with a sad fondness. You admired the ruler, even if she might’ve hated your family in the beginning. But just as any human would she cared about family and that was more uniting than anything.
“Speaking of, how’s my sister? Not giving you too much trouble I hope?”
Triton chuckled, “Oh no she’s been a dream and a fast learner too!”
“Ah, that's good.”
“She says she misses you.”
You playfully scoffed, ”That softy, of course, she’d say that.”
Talking late into the night, you both exchanged the highlights of your family’s adventures. Snickering to one another as you laugh at their failures, playfully jesting with one another about them. But the night was drawing to a close and with yawns from you, you moved to make your departure.
“Oh (Y/n), before you go–I have a bit of advice for you when training Arrel?”
“Oh?”
____________________________________________________
“Alright, Arrel we’re going to try something a little different today.”
“Uughhhh! Is this new thing going to be how I’m supposed to move these feet!? All day these tu-ders have been making me use them and I’m just tired of it!”
“Oh? That’s too bad, we were going to walk into town–”
“LET’S GO!”
Hopping giddily on the feet he claimed to exhaust minutes ago, he followed you to the prepared carriage ready to take you both into town. Bouncing his knees and smashing his face into the window to look at the surrounding greenery. Tapping twice at the wood above you the carriage rolled to a stop just outside the town. The redhead tilted his head at you following eagerly as you stepped out and waved the carriage off.
“Today you’re going to explore the town for yourself.”
“Myself? Like I pick where we walk!?”
“Yes, yes I’m just here if you have any questions. So where first princey?”
He excitedly intertwined his hand with yours before darting off in a clumsy run. Dashing through the marketplace as he searched for a specific stall. When he found it he released you stopping abruptly, naturally leaving you to smash into his back. Steadying yourself you walked beside him as he excitedly smiled at the stand.
“I want those things!”
“Things? Do you mean the apples?”
“Ah-pulls? Is that the red rocks?”
“They’re fruit, and their called–A-pples.”
“Aaaahhhh-pulls?”
Paying for the fruit would be the first of Arrel’s many souvenirs that he gained throughout his field trip. The lesson was more engaging and fruitful than anything you had tried before. Exercising new vocabulary and practicing the right platitudes when speaking with others, Arrel was learning so much. Watching the mer-prince’s mind racing with excitement as he truly came to learn what life as a human was like. You could understand why Erica fell so fast.
“Ah the uhm–sun, is settling, right?”
“Close enough. We’re allowed to be out a little bit longer if you want but if you’re tired–”
“Hmmm, I want to go to one last place! Is that okay (Y/n)? “Yup but where do you want to go?”
“I can’t think of the word uh just come with me!”
Once again weaving your fingers with his own he pulled you away from the populated streets of the town. Taking you to a place that sparked a forlorn nostalgia in its discovery. The grotto. As you helped Arrel who was trying to recall the actions of Erica to send you out on the boat, you let the memories of the place run wild.
“Come on (Y/n)! I found this cool place where I can be the captain!”
“Okay okay! Wait for me *huff huff* I have tiny legs.”
Just like before you let eager hands take the handles of the paddles from you, in order to enjoy the way the reflecting light shines in their eyes. Letting you sit back to see the beauty in their dreams flash in their eyes.
Arrel was no different than Erica.
Beautifully smiling as your boat floats into the blue lagoon. It was a gem, that no doubt was the catalyst of many romances. Drifting from under the rising moon to the roof of the willow tree’s branches, entering a world of flora and fauna. Firefly lights illuminated the space giving a magical glow to space; you’d be concerned if you didn’t fall in love.
“...Isn’t it fantastic? Those eels got in the way last time but now…this is perfect!”
Arrel mumbled to himself to which you tilted your head.
“Uhm Arrel wouldn’t it really be perfect if you were back here, with Erica?”
“...Well yeah…but I don’t know it feels right like back then!”
“Arrel…is this feeling awe?”
"Awww?"
“Awe. Like you’re enamored with nature and feel of this place.”
“Mmmh that sounds right!”
“But do you realize how that sounds when–ugh forget it you probably don’t even notice anyway.”
You quieted after that and enjoyed the orchestra of croaking frogs and crickeys. Gingerly reclaiming the paddles when Arrelbegan to dangerously slump against the boat. With great coaxing, you returned to the entrance of the lagoon and scheduled for the carriage ride home.
This would be the first of many new adventures into the town. Triton encouraged a more rewarding type of learning for his son whose attention was short for study but active for his curiosity. And it had become quite the brag to have the prince whine through his other lessons to attend your own. So in between you’re days spent organizing the intricacies of the wedding, you were taking Arrel into the town. On particularly busy days you did try assigning Grimsey to be his chaperone but the prince wouldn’t budge; instead, he spend his day clinging to your leg. Sullying your pant leg with his tears he refused to commit to his outings if you weren’t the one guiding him.
Other than that little hiccup, it was smooth sailing. Magically calling Triton as you both gushed about your respective students. As the days counted by the glorious day of the wedding was surging forth and you along with everyone else were on cloud 9.
It would be a glorious day.
____________________________________________
The news came as quick as a light shower. Lightly washing over the freshly painted smile on your face. Leaving an incredulous daze to take place as you could only tentatively look at the greyed sky.
“W-what?!”
“Erica…is dead.”
Perhaps it was because you hadn’t seen the body. Maybe that was why you didn’t immediately cry; you didn’t believe it. The princess–-your sister was supposed to return today. Return to her post on land to prepare for the big day. To whine in your ear about all her worries and woes as you fitted her gown for the overeating she most definitely did while in Atlantica. She and Arrel would have been squealing and twirling one another as though they’d been apart for years.
They ruled it an accident. Pure coincidence that the second she had been given her legs and ran to your parents she wobbled, clutched at her chest, and collapsed. A heart failure…an underlying condition she must have been secretly stoking with her hunger for adrenaline. A horrible match really.
The king and queen weren’t the only ones to witness the sight, Arrel was there as well. Having slipped past an adamantly guarding Grimsey to hug his beloved fiancee. Slowing his run when he found that her reaching out to him was not in welcome but in a reluctant farewell. Triton looking horrified from the safety of the sea, not only witnessed the fragility of humans firsthand but the terror it brought her baby boy.
Both kingdoms were thrown in disarray. The ones on land were rightfully devastated as the white decor became black with mourning. Those in the water did their own preparations longing not only for the loss of a new friend but of the uncertainty this meant. War? Forever severed ties between kingdoms? Atonement? Nothing was set in stone, even the status of Prince Arrel was a tempest gray. So overcome with grief he refused his mother and brothers when they begged him to come home.
“No…I won’t….not when…she’s gone.”
Your parents, too consumed in their own grief and the state of the kingdom to give nothing but tearful remarks to the prince. So it was up to you. Up to you to chaperone the fish out of the water with a new lesson. A grim one. All about continuing on if only in reverence of those beyond.
“Do…you not have funerals in Atlantica?”
“Barely…we live…long…healty lives…”
You dryly laughed, looking past your veil at the lowering coffin.
“Heh, guess we just aren’t meant to last that long.”
Arrel looked at you noting the salted water streaming down your face and the way your lips curved the opposite of their usual state. He did what he saw others do: wrapping his arms around you, subconsciously curling into the warmth you provided.
Living humans were so much warmer.
He found that to be true when he awoke in the same position behind you in Erica’s bed. You couldn’t sleep, trudging through the halls into her room.  Grazing your fingers along the untouched relics of her past. Shining brightly under the stream of the moonlight’s beams was Erica’s bed. So undisturbed it made you hesitate to ruin it even in your tired state. But in your mind was the memory of a younger Erica reaching out to you from her bed as she looked longingly at the sea.
“(Y/n), come come. I’m always happy to have you in bed with me. Cozy up with your big sis every once in a while…”
So with her voice and smile replaying in your clouded mind you curled into her bed. Shuffling under her comforter, smelling the faint remnants of her presence within the sheets. Unshed tears collected in your lashes as you succumbed to much-needed sleep. Completely unaware of the prince with a similar yearning. Tired and consumed with grief he saw no problem with shoving his nose into the crook of your neck as he curled himself around you.
You smelt nice.
Not the same as Erica but comforting all the same.
He’d spend many nights completing this ritual. Having waking moments that led to joining you in Erica’s bed. Waking together with the comfort of one another's heat before silently encouraging one another to eat. Even when you no longer found yourself needing to go to Erica’s room, Arrel still found himself waking up beside you.
It didn’t feel right not to at this point.
______________________________________________
As your debilitating depression became something manageable you found yourself able to offer your guidance to the rest of the castle. Becoming a figurehead as the only remaining heir and one of the few able to look logically through this season in the kingdom.
“(Y/n)...my baby…we worry that with this incident the kingdom has fallen behind in their affairs…”
“Truthfully we’d rather devastate ourselves than put you in this position–”
“Right, this is only if it’s alright with you…if you’d even consider it. Its a big responsibility–”
“Mother Father, please. Tell me what does the kingdom need?”
Letting out a shaky sigh she continued, “With this–no doubt severed connection with the sea kingdom it's best that we start looking to wed suitors with nearby kingdoms…”
You nodded. It was expected—that the next course of action was to reach for security. Even with the contact established for Triton attempting to speak with a distraught Arrel it wasn’t a situation to debate. Already having to dissuade the misinformed conspirators that were insistent that it was the mer-population fault along with the general instability of the kingdom. You were prepared for this, as you’d been raised to.
“I will begin looking at suitors two days from now.”
“S-so soon?!”
“We might as well move fast while all the preparations for a wedding remain. Not to mention this is for the kingdom, right your Highnesses?”
“Y-yes!”
“T-thank you, (Y/n)! We’ll begin preparing right away!”
When you exited the room you released a breath you didn’t realize you were holding. Swallowing a silent plea you deeply inhaled and exhaled, holding your head high as you made your way through the castle. There was much to be done and no one needed a moping leader.
Unbeknownst you a certain bird was intently listening through an open window.
_______________________________________________________
When the day came, you fought the turmoil in your tummy as you let yourself be dolled up. Settling in the comfort of the garden for the suitors to give their impressionable first meeting. At the sound of the bell, the speed dates interviews would begin. With cups full of tea you would let various royal suitors talk you up about their many ventures. After a day full of bragging and insincere condolences as they attempted to capture you’re attention. Taking note of the least hated potentials, you sighed but nodded for the maid to call in the last suitor. Keeping your eyes on the cold ceramic you prepared yourself for the final interview.
“You look…tired.”
Your eyes snapped up to meet the sullen blues of a familiar redhead. Dressed in the pink drawstring blouse and matching pants, he looked the most put together since the funeral.
“...Arrel?”
“Do we have to stay at this…venue?”
Visibly trying the word on his tongue he smiled at you. Hand outstretched to you with the eyes of a mature prince. Torn between familiarity and proper etiquette you take his hand. Letting him lead you through your own castle to the entrance where a carriage was waiting. Helping you in first, you let Arrel tap the roof of the carriage starting an unknown route.
You didn’t bother speaking, finding that more was understood when nothing was said at all. Resting into the cushion of the seat you barely registered the familiar buildings and stalls being passed by. Sitting up to look at the waving citizens of the town.
“Are we-?”
You didn’t bother finishing, turning to look at Arrel who was lightly smiling as he looked out the opposite window.
When the carriage stopped it was at the man-marked dock of the blue lagoon. A simple wooden boat tied and awaiting you and Arrel as its passengers. Once again hand-in-hand he pulled you along seating you in the boat before pushing away. Discretely making eye contact with the coachman and guard who briefly tilted their hat to you; you assured that this was planned.
He paddled efficiently moving past the light current of the water to re-enter the willow’s cove. The moon was far from full instead the light was that of a small crescent. Letting firefly light bring dramatic shadows to his otherwise bright face. His darkened eyes remained on you, for the most part, harvesting an intensity unfamiliar to you. It kept you quiet for the most part, waiting until he spoke.
“My Father died, prematurely too.”
“...I’m sorry?”
“It was a human ship, you know. What you’d call Pie-rats?”
“Pirates.”
“Right. Well, they were the ones who killed him. He was…supposed to live longer.”
He was looking into the murky waters below, unglowing, and seemingly blacker than the night sky. The look was distant and foreboding, a widened terror to them that reminded you of a fear you would have felt during the news of a lost-at-sea Erica. You spoke if only to bring him back but it didn’t seem to sway him.
“Arrel.”
“But it's not like all humans are bad…heck I’m sure I’d be just as bad if nature hated me the same way!”
“E-excuse me?”
“Don’t you know that (Y/n)?”
He looked to you this time. Turning away from the edge of the boat directly to you, face distorted in a way you couldn’t behold. The darkness of nature made it worse only giving you a glimpse of the grieved madness swirling in his eyes—the blueness exchanged for a black substitute unmoving from you as he spoke.
“I’m sure humans were supposed to live as long as us mermaids, you know? B-but if you look at Erica and anyone else in that town’s graveyard it's obvious that's just the same case for you!”
“Arrel!”
Something about how he said her name, rubbed you the wrong way. Eager to stop, what had to be a mental breakdown, you leaned forward gripping the collar of his shirt. Pulling him close to your face as you tried to search his eyes.
“Arel stop it! D-don’t try to compare our lifespans to yours…this is just what you sign up for when you decide to love a human…”
You released him in order to nurse the burning in your eyes. Sinking back into your seat you used your sleeves, scolding yourself in the darkness. Fleeting lights of the fireflies hardly let you see your own sleeves, as you sniveled. So focused on yourself it didn’t matter at the time that he smiled into his hand before giving a muffled dry laugh.
“I guess you’re right… it's my fault for falling in love with a human right? Heh, heh then if Its all my fault I should fix it right?”
“W-what?!”
“Right (Y/n)?! I’m going to fix it! You’ll let me won’t you!?”
“W-wait?! W-what!?”
He moved fast, stabilizing himself on the sides of the boat. Moving closer to you until you could feel the boat shake with its weight. Letting his knee stabilize himself in between your legs as he leaned in close. Nose and breath fanning against you’re own it scared you even more that you couldn’t see his face.
“I know where the sea wizard’s lair is and he has loads of knick-knacks for keeping humans alive.”
“H-hold on–?”
“I could even turn you into a mermaid! Per-man–ent-ly!”
“Ar-”
“Or-? I could turn everyone into a mermaid then you’d have to live longer right?”
“Arrel!”
You tried to push him away stopping when the boat shook too much, making you tuck your arms against your person as he moved his hands to your seat. He tucked his head against your head, nuzzling into you as he wrapped his arms around you. Practically uncaring of the instability of the boat.
“You’ll pick me.”
He let his lips graze along your ear. Shuddering you fruitlessly attempted to move, failing.
“What?!”
“To marry. You’re going to marry me. I’ll be keeping you alive one way or another.”
“Arrel, you can’t–”
“I will and if that means making you like me that’s fine….Otherwise, I’ll just do it to everyone too! Then you can live forever like me!”

bring me to life - p.e
Tumblr media
summary: when ursula possesses y/n to make her try and trap ariel, eric knows somethings off.
prince eric x reader
a/n: this is so humbling but he’s actually the finest man i’ve ever seen
the day ariel sacrificed her voice for legs, it was bound to go to hell. the only thing she wanted in life was to be with the humans, sick of being confined to the ocean. the deal she made with ursula is that she needed approval from the royals in three days. she begged to understand their world, and after she met y/n and eric, she fell in love with the above world.
they were the most gracious and accepting people on the island. they strolled around with her, y/n helping her get dressed and ready, and eric showing her his collections. she never knew that the love from land was so strong until she spent the days with them.
eric glowed around y/n, ariel noticing the bright beam on his face when she came around. he talked about her like an angel, or someone from another perfect universe. ariel knew the look in his eyes, the one of full of mesmerize. ariel quickly found out that it was very mutual, y/n being so fond of eric. her love for him was stronger than the waves, and ariel knew it.
toward the end of the second day, y/n was running around the castle with eric, fooling around with ariel before being scolded by grimsby. most nights, y/n and eric go to bed together, falling asleep as he holds her. tonight was different. the air was stiff, making y/n’s anxiety peak. she decided to take a walk down to the beach to hear the waves and see the water, hopefully calming her down. the ocean was calm from the night winds, but as she sat on the rocks, it started getting harsher. the wind was blowing her hair around, as well as causing the waves to crash around her.
ursula knew the exact weak point in eric and in ariel. meeting y/n and taking her as a friend made her a perfect target to destroy ariel’s life. for eric, y/n’s the most loved. every part of her and her mind is completely admired by eric. ursula knows they’ll listen to y/n, doubting themselves too much. so, if she could convince y/n that ariel isn’t good enough, maybe she had a shot.
“oh, child,” the eerie voice rolls through the water, making y/n move her head around trying to spot it. “a sleepless night?”
“w-who are you?” she questions, stepping away from the rock, leaving only her feet in the wet sand. she’s fully alarmed by the sight in front of her. she’s never seen something like this, leaving cold chills down her spine.
“you’ve never heard of the sea witch?” y/n nervously shakes her head naively. “it means you should listen to me, sweetheart.”
y/n’s hands remain at her side, playing with the seams of her dress. her breathing deepens, coming out more sharp in panic of the creature in front of her.
“that little ariel,” ursula begins. “is no good for this world. and i need your help to bring her back to me.”
“i can’t,” y/n whispers as she walks back further. “i can’t help you.”
“i know you can,” ursula puts her hand out and y/n cringes at the noises of her tentacles on the sand.
the sounds of y/n’s quick breaths and the swishing of ursula’s many arms has become the only thing on the beach. “n-no, no,” y/n demands. “i won’t do this.”
“fine, then!” ursula sighs. as y/n attempts to run away, hurrying out of ursula’s sight, her tentacles grip onto her sides, pulling her closer. y/n tries to yank them off, but they stick to her dress and her skin like hot glue. the air gets tighter around her, using every ounce of energy to escape the grasp of the sea witch. “i’ll just have to make you.”
the words makes y/n’s mind freeze, placing horror into her mind. she thinks about eric, wishing he were here to save her. it was too late, he was out cold in their bed, where they should be together. she knew no one was coming to save her. before she knew it, ursula cracked open a bottle, the smokey substance inside fading into y/n as she breathed it in. her irises flicked between hues of purple from ursula’s spell before returning back to the normal color. ursula knew she must leave, so y/n was left on the sand, marks on her dress as she lay on the cold ground of the beach, unconscious.
eric wakes in the morning early, prepared to explore more with y/n and collect more treasures. he rolls over to place his hand on her, but it only sinks down and he is confronted with the empty bed sheets. he immediately gets up, putting on the normal clothes as he heads downstairs to look for his love.
“grimsby!” he shouts. “have you seen y/n?”
“no, i haven’t. was she not in bed?”
“maybe she went out to the villages with ariel?”
“ariel’s upstairs, sire,” grimsby informs. eric starts to get more fearful, anything could have happened to her. his life dream used to be to explore the ocean, but now it’s just to keep y/n safe. as long as she’s with him, he’s happy. if anyone ever attempted to hurt her, there would be a new version of himself.
he walked the streets and halls of the castle with no sight of y/n. he stormed through the rooms, requesting help from guards and anyone who was free to search. every single time that anyone came back to say she wasn’t found, his heart broke off a piece.
he decided to roam down to the beaches, just in case she had made her way down here and forgotten to say something. when he spotted a bundle of soft hair, the same color as y/n’s, he sprinted over and fell on his knees in the sand.
“y/n?” he asks, placing his hands on her cheeks to straighten her head. “hey, y/n!”
her eyes flutter open, and eric immediately catches on. she doesn’t seem disoriented, she doesn’t seem alarmed. she’s different. her eyes are darkened and her expression seems uncanny. eric shivers at the look of her, he knows somethings wrong than just a fall on the beach. “are you alright, darling?”
“i’m fine,” she replies. “where’s red?”
y/n walks through the castle, leaving chaos and destruction in her path. she’s messed up the organization, and touching everything she sees. she does it with a smirk on her face as well, knowing exactly the plan.
in her head, only ursula stands, controlling her words and thoughts as y/n feels barricaded. she feels like she’s in a prison of her own mind, not being able to escape and work for herself. it’s like she’s become a puppet of the sea, saying and doing what the monsters please.
there was a party in honor of eric tonight, the queen just being thrilled that he’s home safe. it was also a way to welcome ariel to their customs, and help her get settled into the community. she hadn’t gotten her answer if she was fully accepted yet, but that wasn’t enough for ursula. if ariel wasn’t hers at the end of this, she might just have to take y/n. it’s hard work to make a bad impression of someone so genuine like ariel.
y/n walks into the party, dressed in a slim corset and purple dress as she walks onto the outdoor floor. she looks at ariel, with a toothy smirk on her face. eric spots her, making note of y/n’s watery eyes and red cheeks. somethings terribly wrong with y/n, and he doesn’t know how to save her from it.
“your majesty,” y/n says to the queen. “i need to have a word with you.”
“of course, y/n,” she places a hand on her shoulder, walking over to a corner as eric follows behind them.
“i believe that girl is not safe for this island. all the destruction and disrespect in this castle is a result of her,” eric walks in, overhearing y/n’s words and being confused. she adored ariel, and there was no way she was saying this alone.
“mother-” eric speaks, his mother putting up her hand to him. even the queen can notice something wrong with y/n’s demeanor. her features are sharper, leaving a more intimidating look to her. normally, she looks sweet and welcoming, but now she’s started to look mischievous.
“y/n, im sure it is a misunderstanding what’s happened, but- y/n, miss?”
y/n’s eyes are glued on the orange skies, looking at the sun sinking closer to the horizon. her face glows a golden tint from the light and she moves to look at the ocean. eric grabs her hand, but she swipes it away and walks past everyone. ariel has a frightened look on her face, thinking of how to save herself from scrutiny. unfortunately, as the sun dips below the line between the ocean and the sky, ariel stumbles to the floor as eric scurries to help her up.
“you’re too late!” y/n cries, smiling but also with tears. she runs over to ariel, grabbing onto her arms and yanking her off the ground. they struggle over to the balcony before ursula pops up, grabbing the two girls and diving into the water.
eric watches as his friend and his sweet girlfriend fall into the water. he’s taken aback by the tail revealed, but he needs y/n to be safe first. he got in his boat and rowed out to sea, impacting with the sharp waves and abruptness. he spotted ursula with ariel and triton under the surface, but no y/n. he panics, turning into fight mode as he tries to impale ursula with a sword. he just grazes her, just angering the creature as she sends her eels up to him. even as he’s actually attacked, he just wants to find y/n before anything else.
the battle with ursula felt like a scene from a movie. it was like it lasted days, painful, exhausting days of torment from the witch. even after he swam up to shore, y/n was nowhere to be found.
“get a boat!” eric pants. “we need to find y/n, i need to find her.”
“eric,” the queen says.
“mother, i need her-“
“relax, first, eric. we will find her. we have people out already looking for her,” she tries to comfort her son who’s in the water, discombobulated from all he’s been through today. he stared at the water, remaining on shore but still lost at sea. y/n could be anywhere and it’s out of his control.
with every last morsel of strength y/n had left, she managed to force herself to swim to shore. she lay on the hot sand, absorbing the cold water from her hair and her dress. her eyes felt like she was looking through a dirty eyeglass, the ache in her head blurring her vision. her head had one too many impacts, leaving her with a thumping pain. once she landed there, rolling onto her back to let the sun beat on her face, she couldn’t make herself stand. her muscles were overworked and weary. the warmth of the sun encapsulated her body, leaving her to dry from the soak of the sea.
eric stormed through the beaches, despite the complaints from the queen. he wasn’t going to let her escape him again and be taken. she was just an innocent person, someone who didn’t deserve the wrath of ursula.
ariel herself felt scared. she never was able to experience the same emotions as humans, until she connected with y/n. she knew ursula too well to miss her tricks. y/n would have never done that to her under any circumstance. she admired y/n on the island. ariel had discovered the disappearance of y/n, and took matters into her own hands. she explored the oceans anywhere that she could’ve fallen to, but she eventually washed up to a small island, too far from the shore of eric’s island.
she could see the floating of y/n’s dress in the high tide. she saw the swishes of hair on the ground, covered in grains of sand. she rapidly flipped her fins, pushing herself onto the sand to grab onto y/n. she swam with the unconscious body quickly to the shore of the main island, leaving her on the dry land as she returned back to the waves.
even as time passed, eric was still searching frantically, looking like a lunatic on the beaches. he didn’t stop until he was forced to by his mother, succumbing to her orders to get back in the castle. he was observed and checked out in the medical wing to make sure he wasn’t hurt too severely.
he heard shuffling in the halls, the passing of guards and orders. “alert the prince,” one says, making eric’s head perk up. it wasn’t until grimsby whipped the door open, walking in to greet eric.
“sire,” he pants. “we’ve found y/n.”
eric stands up, his face falling straight as he swiftly moved down the hallways. his footsteps ricochet through the tall passages, skipping up the stairs and seeing y/n in a small bed. her hair was tied back with a white bandage wrapped around her head.
he pauses, taking in the sight of his one and only, vulnerable and hurt on the bed. his chest rises and sinks in long breaths. he doesn’t know if he can handle looking at her sleeping body, she looks too peaceful for him to be comfortable.
as the servants cleared out of the room, eric sat beside her on the bed. he grabbed her hand as she fluttered awake, stretching her body out with a grimace on her face. “eric?”
“yes,” he whispers. “i’m here, it’s alright.”
“i don’t understand what happened, it was all so fast and then ariel-“
“shh, you’re going to be ok now,” he reassures her, running a hand on her cheek.
“but where is ariel? she dropped me off on the shoreline and i didn’t see her again,” y/n questions, fearing for her friend. when she looks behind eric, she hears a soft, gracious knock on the doors as ariel steps in in her blue dress. she has a dim smile on her lips as y/n tells her. “come in, please, ariel.”
she steps into the room, looking around at the mysterious objects in this part of the castle. the couple smiles at the curious girl until she makes her way over to y/n on the bed. “i found you on an island on the outland. it was further from the shipwreck than we were.”
“thank you,” y/n smiles, grabbing ariel’s hand and placing her other one on top of them. she looks around, her expression changing to confusion. “i guess i’ll address the problem in the room. your legs have returned.”
“my father gave me the gift of staying here with you. i’m meant to be on land, and i’ve finally been heard. i couldn’t have done any of this without you. you showed me kindness and never once treated me like i was unordinary, even though i am.”
“you don’t need to ask for respect around here,” y/n says. ariel thanks her one last time, before moving out of the room.
“you have no idea how happy i am that you’re alright,” eric remarks, shuffling closer to y/n’s body. “i was so scared i lost you.”
“i know,” y/n replies. “but you’ll never lose me, eric.” he leans forward, placing a sweet kiss on her lips as a token of gratitude.
“we’re meant to be together until the sky falls, my love.”

Descendants James Hook x Reader: The Pirate And The Mermaid
Tumblr media
Request: Hi, I love your imagines so much that I was wondering if you could do an imagine where Uliana finds out that Hook is dating Ariel's sister and makes him choose the VK group or her by making the reader walk the plank and if hook saves her (which he does) and convinces Uliana that she's nothing like Ariel and is perfect for him. (The other 3 vks already know that they're dating except for Uliana and always help Hook sneak around to see her without Uliana knowing until one day she finds out)

James Hook walked around the grounds of Merlin Academy, his dark brown hair messy yet perfectly styled, a confident smirk playing on his lips. But beneath that confident facade, his thoughts were elsewhere, focused on one person in particular.
You, Y/n, the youngest daughter of King Triton, were waiting for him in the secluded corner of the academy gardens. It was a secret place, known only to a few, where the wildflowers bloomed in brilliant colors and the trees provided a perfect cover from prying eyes. This hidden haven had become one of the many places you would meet, a place where the world seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of you in a bliss of stolen moments and whispered promises.
James spotted you before you saw him, your vibrant hair catching the sunlight as you idly plucked petals from a daisy. He paused for a moment, just to admire you, the way the sunlight danced across your features, the serene expression on your face as if you had no care in the world. It made his heart swell with a warmth he had never thought possible for someone like him. You were his light, the beacon that guided him through the dark seas of his life.
With a silent grace, he approached, his footsteps nearly soundless on the soft grass, until he was right behind you.
“Princess.” he whispered in your ear, his voice a velvet caress that sent shivers down your spine.
You jumped slightly, your hand going to your heart as you turned to face him, a smile spreading across your lips. “James, you scared me.” you said, playfully swatting at his arm.
He chuckled, his arms already slipping around your waist, pulling you flush against him. “Can’t help it, love. You’re just too easy to sneak up on.”
Your laughter was like music to his ears as you rested your head on his chest, reveling in the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. “If only everyone could see this side of you. They’d never believe the fearsome Hook has a soft spot.”
He tilted your chin up, his eyes capturing yours, the mischief that usually danced in them now replaced by something much deeper, much more sincere. “That’s because this side of me is only for you, darling.”
Your heart fluttered at his words, a warmth spreading through your chest that made you feel like you were floating. You leaned up, your lips meeting his in a kiss that was both sweet and intense, a reflection of the emotions that swirled between you. His hands tightened on your waist, pulling you even closer as if he could never get enough of you, and for a moment, the world ceased to exist, no prying eyes, no judgment, just the two of you, entwined in your own little world.
But as much as you cherished these moments, you both knew they couldn’t last forever. Merlin Academy was full of eyes and ears, and there were those who would do anything to tear you apart. After all a royal and a villain simply couldn’t be together, that is nkt gow it's supposed to be. The thrill of secrecy was always tinged with the fear of discovery, and yet, it only made your time together all the more precious.
As if sensing the shift in your thoughts, James pulled back slightly, his thumb brushing over your cheek as he gazed down at you with a mix of love and concern. “What’s troubling you, love? You’re too quiet.”
Before you could respond, a soft rustling in the bushes caught your attention. Out of the shadows stepped Morgie, his eyes scanning the area before he spotted the two of you. He was a loyal friend, always looking out for you, even if it meant risking his own neck. With his tousled hair and mischievous grin, Morgie was the perfect accomplice to your secret meetings.
“You two better wrap it up.” Morgie said, his voice low but urgent. “Uliana’s searching for you.”
James groaned, reluctantly releasing you but keeping one arm around your waist as if he couldn’t bear to let you go completely. “Can’t she take a break from being such a buzzkill?”
Morgie shrugged, glancing over his shoulder as if expecting Uliana to appear at any moment. “Not when she’s determined to keep you close, Hook. You know how she is.”
Your smile faded as worry crept into your heart. Uliana had always been a thorn in your side, ever since you first arrived at the academy. She was ruthless, cunning, and had a grudge against your family. It didn’t help that James was her first mate, a role that made your relationship all the more dangerous.
“I can handle Uliana.” James said, sensing your unease. He tried to reassure you, but you could see the tension in his jaw, the way his hand clenched at his side. “She’s all bark and no bite.”
But you weren’t so sure. “Just… be careful, okay? I don’t want you getting hurt because of me.”
James softened at your concern, brushing a strand of hair from your face with a tenderness that belied his fierce reputation. “Don’t worry about me, princess. I’d walk the plank a thousand times if it meant keeping you safe.”
Your smile was small, but genuine, though the unease in your chest remained. You trusted James, but you knew how dangerous Uliana could be. And you had a feeling she wasn’t going to give up easily.
Just then, the shadows seemed to grow darker, and a chill breeze swept through the garden. From the corner of your eye, you saw the air shimmer as Hades appeared with a dramatic flair. His blue flame-like hair flickered as he greeted the two of you with an amused smirk.
“Well if it isn’t mt favorite lovebirds.” Hades drawled, crossing his arms over his chest. “You two do know how to pick the worst places for a secret date, don’t you?”
“Relax, Hades.” James replied, though there was a note of irritation in his voice. “We were just leaving.”
Hades chuckled, his eyes gleaming with a mischievous light. “Good thing I found you first. Maleficent’s already weaving a little distraction for Uliana, but it won’t last long. You’d better make yourselves scarce before she catches wind of your little affair.”
You glanced at James, who nodded slightly. It was time to go, but the thought of parting from him so soon after you’d just found each other again left a hollow ache in your chest. As if reading your thoughts, James leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead.
“Meet me tonight.” he whispered against your skin, his breath warm and comforting. “At the docks. We’ll steal a few hours together, just you and me.”
You nodded, unable to find your voice as you were overwhelmed by the tenderness in his words, the promise of more time together keeping your spirits afloat.
With Morgie, Hades, and Maleficent covering your tracks, you and James managed to slip away from the garden unnoticed. But as you disappeared into the shadows, you couldn’t shake the feeling that this fragile happiness was standing on the edge of something dangerous. Uliana was relentless, and you knew it was only a matter of time before she made her move.
-----
That night, as the moon cast a silver glow over the academy grounds, you quietly slipped away from your dormitory. The corridors were silent, the shadows long and dark, but you moved with a purpose, your heart racing in anticipation. Every step you took towards the docks felt like a step closer to a dream, one where it was just you and James, away from the prying eyes of the academy.
The docks were deserted, the water gently lapping against the wooden planks. The air was cool, carrying with it the scent of the sea, a reminder of home. You pulled your cloak tighter around yourself as you scanned the area, your breath catching when you saw him.
James stood at the edge of the dock, his back to you, gazing out at the horizon where the sea met the sky. His tall, lean figure was silhouetted against the moonlight, and for a moment, you simply admired him. He seemed to belong here, in this quiet place, where the only sound was the rhythm of the waves and the beating of your heart.
“James.” you called softly, and he turned, his face breaking into a smile as he saw you.
Without a word, he closed the distance between you, wrapping you in his arms the moment you were close enough. You melted into his embrace, the world falling away as you buried your face in his chest, breathing in his familiar scent of salt and leather.
“I missed you.” you whispered, your voice barely audible over the gentle sounds of the sea.
“And I missed you, princess.” he replied, his voice warm and soothing as he held you close. “Every moment we’re apart feels like a lifetime.”
You looked up at him, your eyes locking onto his. “Then let’s make the most of the time we have.”
His expression softened, and he leaned down to capture your lips in a tender kiss. It was slow and sweet, a promise of the love that bound you together despite the dangers that lurked in the shadows. James’ hand gently cupped your cheek, his thumb brushing over your skin as if memorizing every detail, every curve, as if this moment was all that mattered.
When he finally pulled away, he didn’t go far, resting his forehead against yours. “I wish we didn’t have to sneak around like this. I want to be with you all the time, without having to look over my shoulder.”
You sighed, understanding his frustration. “I know, James. But as long as Uliana’s watching us, we have to be careful. I don’t want her to hurt you… or us.”
His jaw clenched at the mention of her name, a flicker of anger crossing his features. “She won’t win, Y/n. I won’t let her come between us.”
“I believe you.” you whispered, wrapping your arms around his neck, pulling him closer. “I just wish there was a way to keep her from interfering.”
James was quiet for a moment, then a mischievous glint appeared in his eyes. “There might be a way.”
“What do you mean?” you asked, curious.
He grinned, the roguish smile that always made your heart skip a beat. “I’ve been thinking… if we can keep her distracted, give her something else to focus on, we could buy ourselves more time. Hades and Morgie have already agreed to help.”
Your eyes widened in surprise and excitement. “You really think it could work?”
“With a little help from Maleficent’s magic, we can keep Uliana running in circles.” he said, his tone filled with confidence. “She’ll be so busy dealing with false leads and wild goose chases that she won’t have time to spy on us.”
A thrill of hope surged through you. The thought of being able to spend more time with James, without constantly looking over your shoulder, was too tempting to resist. “That sounds… perfect.”
James leaned in, his lips brushing against your ear as he whispered, “And in the meantime, we’ll keep meeting in secret, just like this. No one will know where or when, only us.”
The idea of these secret meetings, of stolen kisses under the watchfull eye of the night, sent a shiver of excitement through you. You nodded, unable to contain your smile. “I love it. I love you.”
He pulled back slightly, just enough to look into your eyes. “And I love you, darling. More than anything.”
The night passed in a blur of whispered conversations and stolen kisses, the two of you wrapped in each other’s arms as you sat on the edge of the dock, your feet dangling above the water. The moon watched over you, a silent guardian of your secrets, as you shared your hopes, your fears, and your dreams of a future together, one where you could love each other openly, without fear.
Over the following weeks, the plan was set in motion. Morgie and Hades, along with Maleficent’s and her magic, created a series of distractions that kept Uliana busy. They spread rumors, created illusions, and sent her on wild chases that led nowhere. Each time she thought she was closing in on you and James, she found herself frustrated by some new trick or misdirection.
Meanwhile, you and James continued to meet in secret. Sometimes it was the docks, other times the hidden grotto of the academy, or even the deserted beach beyond the forest. Each meeting was a new adventure, filled with the thrill of secrecy and the joy of being together. You cherished these moments, the way his hand fit perfectly in yours, the way he looked at you as if you were the only person in the world.
One evening, after narrowly escaping detection by Uliana, you found yourselves in the old library, tucked away in a forgotten corner surrounded by dusty books and ancient scrolls. The air was thick with the scent of aged parchment, and the flickering candlelight cast a warm glow over the room.
“I think we’re getting better at this.” you teased, leaning against a shelf as James approached, his eyes gleaming with amusement.
He chuckled, brushing a lock of hair away from your face. “Maybe, but I’d still rather we didn’t have to sneak around at all.”
You reached out, taking his hand in yours. “One day, we won’t have to. But for now, I’m just happy to be with you.”
He smiled, his thumb gently caressing the back of your hand. “Me too, love.”
And then he kissed you, slow and deep, the world outside forgotten as you lost yourself in him. Time seemed to stand still in that moment, the only sound the soft rustle of pages as a nearby book caught the breeze from the open window.
You pulled away, breathless and smiling, you couldn’t help but feel that maybe, just maybe, things were finally looking up. You had each other, and with the help of your friends, you were outsmarting Uliana at every turn.
The days turned into weeks, and your secret meetings continued, each one more precious than the last. You cherished every stolen moment, every whispered word, knowing that as long as you had James by your side, you could face whatever challenges lay ahead. And as you stood together, hand in hand, looking out at the moonlit sea, you knew that your love was something worth fighting for, something that could weather any storm.
Throughout these weeks, the tension between James and Uliana only grew, casting a shadow over the secret moments you shared with him. The hidden grotto beneath the academy was your favoriteplace to go with him, a place where you could escape the pressures of the outside world and simply be together. The water there always glistened with an ethereal glow, the gentle sound of the waves lapping against the rocks soothing your troubled hearts.
-----
One evening, after most of the students had retired to their dorms, you and James retreated to the grotto. The air was cool, and the moonlight filtering through the cracks in the stone ceiling bathed the cavern in a soft, silvery light. Your tail, shimmering with iridescent scales, dipped into the water as you leaned against James, his arm wrapped securely around you.
But the peace of the moment was shattered by the sound of footsteps echoing through the grotto. You tensed immediately, recognizing the rhythm and weight of those steps. James’s eyes met yours, a mix of fear and resolve in his gaze as you both realized who it was.
Uliana emerged from the shadows, her lips curled into a malicious smile. The moonlight highlighted the sharp angles of her face, giving her an almost otherworldly appearance. “Well, well, what do we have here?” she sneered, her voice dripping with venom. “James Hook and his little mermaid.”
James instinctively moved in front of you, his hand hovering near the hilt of his sword. “Uliana, this doesn’t concern you. Leave.” he commanded, his voice steady but filled with underlying tension.
But Uliana wasn’t interested in leaving. Her eyes were locked on you, a predatory gleam in them that sent a chill down your spine. “You’re just like your sister, aren’t you?” she hissed. “Always getting in the way, always thinking you can have everything.”
You straightened, refusing to let her intimidate you. “I’m nothing like Ariel.” you replied, your voice firm. “And James isn’t yours to control.”
Uliana’s smile widened, her eyes narrowing with cruel delight. “Is that so? Let’s put that to the test, shall we?” She turned to James, her expression hardening. “You have a choice, Hook. Stay on my crew as my first mate, or keep playing house with the little princess. But you can’t have both.”
The ultimatum hung in the air like a blade, sharp and dangerous. James’s loyalty to his crew had always been a defining part of who he was, but the bond between you had grown stronger with each passing day. The thought of losing him, by being forced apart by Uliana’s twisted games, was unbearable.
“James…” you whispered, your voice trembling as you reached out to him.
He turned to you, his eyes filled with anguish. “I…”
Uliana’s voice cut through the air like a knife. “If you won’t choose, then I will. Either she walks the plank, or you do.” Uliana made a wooden plank appear with her magic, at the edge of the grotto right above the stone cliff and dark restless sea.
A cold dread settled over you as you realized the gravity of what she was asking. James was a pirate, bound by the code of the sea, and to defy it would be to betray everything he had ever known. But to agree to her terms would mean leaving you to a fate you weren’t sure you could survive.
“Do it, Hook.” Uliana taunted, her voice laced with malice. “Show me where your true loyalty lies.”
James’s eyes were filled with desperation as he looked at you. “Princess, I’m so sorry.” he whispered, his voice thick with regret.
Tears welled up in your eyes as you took a deep breath. You knew what you had to do. “James, I trust you.” you said, your voice steady despite the fear gripping your heart. “But if I’m going to walk that plank, I need to do it on my own terms.”
With that, you closed your eyes and concentrated. A tingling sensation spread through your body as you focused on changing your form. Your tail, shimmering with iridescent scales, began to shift. The transformation was always a strange, almost disorienting sensation, but you had done it enough times to control it with precision. Your tail split and morphed, the scales dissapearing and smooth skin taking their place until you were standing on two legs, your mermaid form replaced by your human one.
James’s eyes widened in surprise and admiration as he took in your transformation, but there was no time to dwell on it. You stepped forward, your legs unsteady on the rough stone, but your determination unwavering.
Uliana’s eyes glittered with a twisted pleasure as she watched you approach the plank. “So brave, little princess. Let’s see how brave you are when you’re staring down into the depths.”
James grabbed your hand as you stepped onto the plank, his grip strong but trembling. “I love you, Y/N.” he whispered, his voice filled with pain. “Please, forgive me.”
You squeezed his hand, a silent reassurance that you understood, that you didn’t blame him for the impossible situation he was in. “I love you too, James.” you whispered back, your heart pounding in your chest.
The cold wind whipped through the grotto as you stood on the edge of the plank, the dark water below swirling threathingly. You took a deep breath, preparing yourself for what was to come, when suddenly, James’s hand shot out, grabbing your wrist and pulling you back into his arms.
“No!” Uliana shouted, her eyes wide with rage. “What are you doing?!”
James held you tightly, his grip strong as he faced Uliana. “I’m choosing her, Uliana. I’m choosing love over loyalty.”
Uliana’s face twisted with fury. “You fool! She’s just like her sister, just like Ariel! She’ll ruin you, just like her family ruined mine!”
But James shook his head, his voice calm but firm. “She’s nothing like Ariel. She’s brave, kind, and loyal. And I’d rather face the consequences than lose her.”
For a moment, Uliana looked like she might strike out in anger, but then she seemed to reconsider. She glared at you both before finally turning on her heel and storming out of the grotto, her footsteps echoing in the distance.
The moment she was gone, you collapsed against James, your legs shaking with relief. He held you close, his hand stroking your hair as he whispered soothing words in your ear.
“I’m sorry, darling.” he murmured, his voice filled with regret. “I never wanted to put you through that.”
You looked up at him, your eyes still wet with tears but filled with love. “It’s okay, James. I know you did what you had to. And I love you all the more for it.”
He smiled, the weight of the world lifting from his shoulders as he kissed you deeply, the taste of saltwater and tears mingling with the sweetness of your love.
Meanwhile in the shadows, Morgie, Hades, and Maleficent watched, their expressions a mix of satisfaction and amusement. They had followed Uliana just incase things would get out of hand. However you and James managed yourself just fine. Morgie’s eyes gleamed with a dark, almost predatory interest as he observed the raw emotions playing out before him. Maleficent, ever the queen of darkness, merely watched with a knowing smile, her eyes glinting with a mixture of approval and intrigue. Hades leaned against a wall, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips as he pulled Maleficent into him.
The three of them had always known that love could be a powerful weapon, and tonight, it had proven to be the most powerful of all. As they faded back into the shadows, leaving you and James alone in the grotto, you knew that this was far from over. The battle had only just begun, but as long as you had each other, you were ready to face whatever came next.

"now that's just unrealistic, all the mermaids i know are much better fighters!"
poseidon leaned back on the couch, softly shaking his head as his eyes were glued to the tv.
"but dad, it's a romance movie and not an action movie!"
you reminded your father, chuckling amused about how serious he seemed to take the movie.
"no, dad got a point. arielle is a really bad fighter…"
percy joined in, poseidon nodding at his sons comment.
"not you too, percy… you two are impossible to have fun with! arielle isn't even fighting…"
poseidon and percy went quiet for a moment, until your father spoke up.
"maybe that's what's bothering me… they should give her a trident!"
you sighed softly and shook your head.
"i'm giving up…"
