I will never understand why doing RPF quietly on the internet for fun is wrong but big budget movie RPF for money is fine and by some transitive property of money and awards show buzz homegrown RPF based on the big budget RPF is more fine than the home brewed stuff. Surely if it's wrong to write fic it's also wrong to write heavily publicized unauthorized biopics which will inevitably both fictionalize their subjects and imply they present some version of the truth to a broad audience.
