One question that makes you question everything?

Okay, so the point of questions are to get you to think, but this one has stopped me in my tracks. So, I wanted to share this question with you, and I would like you to answer it. You don't have to answer it here, but if you are comfortable with sharing, please feel free to comment down below (or repost with your answer!)

What is the cost of NOT following your dreams? (or goals)

"Hot take" I guess? I think people should be encouraged to try things.

If someone is making any kind of art- visual, musical, or whatever - I think they should always be complimented and encouraged. There is no such thing as bad art.

Not everyone is ready for a critique. Sometimes we're fragile. Sometimes we're truly doing something for ourselves, and don't need approval. Sometimes we enjoy the puzzle of figuring things out for ourselves.

Don't tell people not to paint, or cook, or sing. Don't tell people they aren't good enough, or serious enough. Don't offer unsolicated critiques. Don't give backhanded compliments.

You don't have to lie. You don't have to say, "That's the best thing I've ever seen!" You can say, "Good job!", "You're improving every day!" or, "It's great to see you creating! Keep it up!" You can even just say nothing.

"Good job," by the way, is never a lie. For all you people out there creating at any level, you are making something, and that is cool as hell. Good job.
