Huzaaa another Swap AU designs , this time is Swap!Rei and Swap!Susato!! This is my first time that I actually gone little deep research for their designs, from changing the kimono flower design to white anemone (for Rei) and gardenia (for Susato), to... their pun names. (I'm not proud with the names because wordplay is not my thing ESPECIALLY in language I don't know about but i tried my best 😭 so if you don't liked it you still can call them by their original name)
For Swap!Rei, I kept thinking about Jigoku's name in this so I tried to find anything related to hell and Daimon is the closest thing to the word demon- and with that, I also made the emblem design like diamond shape as I thought Rei Daimon sounds like ray diamond. As for Kazumi Asogi... I don't think I need to explain that one.
As for Swap!Susato, I want to replicate the pun Rei Membami as it referencing to the flower forget me not, so I made the decision to named her with the flower symbolism of secret love, Himitsu Aito.
I will taking a break from character design for a while and just draw Swap AUs characters in any scenarios (like I normally do in general ehe). Here's the concept designs here
#the great ace attorney#dai gyatuken saiban#dgs#tgaa#rei membami#susato mikotoba#swap au#fun fact: Rei is the only one that could read Kazuma's thoughts. like his actual inner thoughts. as a result living with Ryunosuke for#<- so long she could read Kazuma's body language#fun fact: as for the ladder debate. Rei is on the stepladder side#fun fact: Rei would write and read her notes for her informations instead reading the book itself. thinking it would be more organized#<- and easier to access that way#fun fact: Himitsu would not making eye contact and talk really shyly around Kazumi. even knowing that Kazumi is just Rei disguising herself#<- Which concerns Rei thinking if she did something wrong make her act that way not realizing it's just Himitsu having a crush on her#susahao#susarei#<- i forgot to adding those oops-#teroga's blogs

Actually, to clarify, this is him and the goddess that picks his appearance and it's still funny to me, personally, that after she obliges the request she gets REALLY offended when she drops by the demon lord's castle and Rey is Reynold because "I did as you asked you annoying mortal and you just ASKED TO CHANGE BACK" and Reynold points out "he offered to change me back! I just accepted!"
Solei is an extremely petty goddess and is also extremely valid.
Rey, who is in my very biased opinion, one of the funniest "girls" I have because she's just a guy, truly. Like Rey is just short for Reynold because he was recruited by a a goddess to help the hero she selected and the hero is conveniently Reynold's younger brother. So he agrees to help under the condition that the goddess gives him a female body for the other world. She's like "really odd flex but whatever" and gives him a female form and he's like "you know. I can't really blame anyone but myself for not specifying 'please don't turn me into a Lisa Frank personification'."
#my characters#she drops by to check on the married couple and every single time she gets closer to killing reynold#the man is an absolute menace and she hates him and how DARE he just marry the demon he was tasked with defeating#meanwhile sascha is just allowing her to visit despite the fact SHE PUT A BOUNTY ON HIS HEAD AND RECRUITED PEOPLE TO KILL HIM#so hey he thinks he is doing a great job at not being an evil demon lord thank you very much#also there is no actual fight between sascha and the younger brother hero !#the marriage is suggested before the younger brother reaches the castle and reynold says yeah ok but i have to tell him#basically florida man vs another world and florida man wins ! he manages to talk his younger brother down and he marries the demon lord#anyway its fun to point out that as rey its like she becomes a cryptid#while reynold is chilling in his husbands castle and completely unaware people still talk about rey like a legend#like whatever happened to that bright red haired girl who was with the hero and why is there a demon lord still around#did he kill that girl what happened to her? she once helped stop a thief right in front of my very eyes#me sweating bullets as i try to debate posting here or just to my oc blog and going main since its where i posted rey#i promise im done posting art for today since i also posted to my oc blog earlier as well

What’s frustrating about the whole Perverts title issue is that it really boils down to people sticking their noses where it doesn’t belong. If everyone minded their damn business on the internet this wouldn’t even have to be a conversation. Its ok to be a lukewarm fan of someone, but I think TikTok has made it feel like you either have to stan someone and be a keyboard warrior in their defense 24/7 or you can’t like them at all. The whole “debate” gets to a point where it feels like im talking to a wall! Even if you didn’t listen to the rest of the album, you have to scroll to find Strangers! Did you not see the literal song titled August Underground on the way there! Hard Times is about CSA! Strangers is literally about her getting eaten! She literally gets cannibalized! I feel that maybe perchance the whole concept of Preacher’s Daughter should be more shocking then an album called PERVERTS
and I know, i knowwww, this has something to do with those motherfuckers on booktok romanticizing every sick and abusive asshole thats somewhat conventionally attractive. I’m sorry but correct me if im wrong but Strangers (at least to me) is not a love song. While Ethel may have loved him and while she may not feel hatred or resentment towards him lets be honest he did not eat her because he loved her, he did it because he is a bad person who does bad things and took advantage of a girl who has known nothing other than abuse. He groomed her and moved her across the country only to drug her and pimp her out and then when he was bored of her he killed and ate her.
I’m just so sick and fucking tired of these stupid ass motherfuckers thinking that they have the media literacy of Jesus H. Christ himself and that think they’re sooo fucking smart when in reality all you have done is taken a BEAUTIFUL and HEARTBREAKING piece of ARTWORK and watered it down for mass consumption. All you’ve done is slapped a pretty little label on it and put it on a shelf to sell to the masses and now the meaning and intention behind it will wither away. Don’t get me wrong, I love TikTok, I think it’s a great place to learn and share and create and find new interests but it gets to a point where it feels like its just a giant cesspool of braindead people talking about how a wood flooring is so “ethel cain lana del rey coquette naturecore maximalist anti-millennial grey girl boss power move”
I know this probably ended up being a incoherent ramble that says a lot and nothing at the same time but I really just had to get it off my chest because holy fuck you guys lets use our brains! hellooo lets lock the fuck in and really do our best to have some sort of competent level media literacy
#holy fuck yall#this doesnt make sense#sorry in advance#if you read this all thank you#ethel cain#mothercain#preachers daughter#ethel cain perverts#hayden anhedönia

Blood binding and Sauron’s intentions
My pal @rey-jake-therapist and I were in one of our usual friendly discussions about this topic in one of her posts, but since the theme digresses so much from her original intent and I’m pretty much spamming her OG post by now, we decided to move the debate to here, and invite the fandom to join in.
As customary, Rey always presents good and challenging counter-arguments to mine. Because it's possible to disagree and keep it civil and friendly. This is good fandom etiquette, and this is the point of debates, after all: sharing different ideas and perspectives on the same topic. We usually end up agreeing on disagreeing and it’s all good in the end.
What were Sauron’s intentions and goals in stabbing Galadriel with Morgoth’s crown in 2x08?
2x01 / 2x08 parallels: “Only blood can bind.” (Adar; 1x05)
1) Binding/Enslaving Galadriel to his Will
Rey made the case for Sauron’s intention of possessing and dominating Galadriel using Morgoth’s crown. And that we should focus on present intentions, and not lose yourselves in “what if” scenarios (with this I totally agree, so, let's focus on the present time).
This theory states that Sauron wanted to enslave Galadriel to his will, by having her handing over Nenya, in submission. This would explain why Galadriel seemed “bewitched” while removing Nenya from her finger, and almost surrendering it to him.
This means Sauron has “outgrown” his intentions from 1x08, when he wanted to serve Galadriel (due to his Maia nature; he was created to be a servant to a Vala). Now, he wants full power, and he’s not willing to share it with anyone else (Galadriel included):
Sauron only wants to dominate/possess Galadriel now: she humiliated him when she refused him in 1x08, he developed an obsession for her, so he punished her with physical pain (the stabbing), and attempted to possess her so she would follow him.
And so, if blood binding theory is true, this would work like the Nine and the Nazgûl, with Galadriel not only being a servant, but a slave to Sauron. This theory can also imply she would have, indeed, become a Ringwraith herself, as her soul was entering the Unseen world (“Shadow realm”) when Gil-galad and Arondir found her.
This is a very strong theory, and I think many fellow fans share this view, as well. Would it pass Sauron to do something like this? Absolutely not, and it would not be OCC for him to have this intention, at all.
So what’s my problem, you might ask?
This facial expression right here:
Unless Charlie was having a case of fatigue eyes due to extensive use of contact lenses (speaking from personal experience), there’s no explanation for Sauron getting all teared up when he believed Galadriel was about to join him, if his intention was to enslave her to his will, and that’s what he was doing here.
And no, Galadriel can’t deceive him. This is underestimating Sauron’s power: he’s the “great deceiver”, and only he can deceive himself, really. And if they are, indeed, blood bound, Galadriel couldn’t possibly hide anything from him. And I already made the case for how Galadriel was about to join him, freely, in another post.
2) “You bind me to the light, I bind you to power”
Speaking of Sauron’s intentions, we need to remember the creator of this character and what he says about him. Tolkien tells us (in Letters 131, 153 and 183) that “Annatar” still has “fair motives”: he’s a reformer who, truly, wants to rebuild/heal Middle-earth, and he’s genuine in this endeavor (nevermind his methods, that’s why he’s a villain). Rey counter-argumented this does not translate in a desire to serve Galadriel, and she’s correct.
However, what was his intention in 1x08?
And if Sauron still has a genuine concern in healing Middle-earth, what if his intention with Morgoth’s crown was giving Galadriel his power, while harvesting her light for himself, just like he wanted in 1x08? And if this was his intention, why would he keep her soul “trapped” in the Unseen world? What if he wanted to make her queen of the Seen and Unseen world? Not a mere queen of Middle-earth, but as nearly as possible to a literal Goddess he could serve?
Because Sauron/Mairon can’t escape his nature, he was created to be a servant, a Maia to a Vala. And, right now, he doesn’t want to serve Morgoth. Even though he does it, unconsciously, and perhaps he recognized this after he killed Celebrimbor in a rage fit (something that’s completely OCC for him, because that’s not who he is; Sauron is a control freak, a mastermind).
This scene with Galadriel happened after that; and Sauron cried because, when he looked up at Celebrimbor, all he could see was Morgoth’s bounds on him reaching the surface. And that chaotic destruction is Morgoth, not Sauron. And he doesn't want that at this point on his character arc in Tolkien lore. I think this is when Sauron makes the decision to bind himself to Galadriel, one way or the other.
I absolutely disagree with the idea that Sauron stabbed Galadriel to punish her or kill her: if that was his true intention he would have used Morgoth sword (he was already using it in his duel with Galadriel the entire time), not a powerful dark magic object infused with own blood (because Adar used it to destroy his previous physical form), nor he would have carried that thing around the entire time while mentioning "binding" twice (“I never believed I could be... Until today. Fighting at your side, I... I felt... If I could just hold on to that feeling, keep it with me always, bind it to my very being, then I...” (1x06); “The door is still open”).
“Binding” (usually connected with “blood oaths”) and “enslaving” are two different kinds of blood magic. Because the Nine rings of power are pieces of jewelry meant to be worn by ring-bearers, with a small dosage of Sauron’s blood (along with other specific spells). Morgoth’s crown not only has a lot of Sauron’s blood on it, but we also don’t know what kind of dark magic it actually contains: we only know it was made to hold the Silmarils and it can destroy Sauron’s physical form (implying that, maybe, Sauron doesn’t have much control over this object?).
Sauron accidentally sharing his power with Galadriel is nonsense to me, as well. He's ancient, has been around since before the world existed (he helped create that very world), has been a master in blood magic and every sort of sorcery for thousands of years, and he’s one of the most powerful Maia in existence, but isn’t aware he would be giving Galadriel some of his power by binding himself to her? When he clearly mentions this in 1x08? "I bind you to power". Because Galadriel appears to be seeing the world in a whole new way in 2x08 epilogue (and even her eyes look off):
Besides, Galadriel is suppose to be a powerful sorceress of her own right in Tolkien lore, mastering several powers. In the legendarium Galadriel own power was amplified by Nenya, yes, but this isn’t the case in “Rings of Power”, because we haven’t seen her displaying any magical powers in Season 1. She won’t have any other powers in the show (besides healing and foresight/visions), completely cutting off with Tolkien legendarium? If the show keeps it true to the lore on that bit, where did her powers (look into others’ hearts and minds, and communicate telepathically) come from? Will they “magically” appear out of nowhere? When and how? But, if these powers came from Sauron it’s because he wanted it to happen, and that was his intention. And if that was his intention, what was his purpose with this if not to serve her?
And Sauron does share power: he does share his power with those he wants to enslave; via the rings of power. That’s why Celebrimbor tells him he’s their prisoner, and not their master. However, these are two very different kinds and degrees of magic. Because with the rings ("enslave") he can control how he wants it to go; while sharing his actual power with another living being ("blood oath") is uncontrollable. He can’t possible know the end result of it.
I know there’s a popular theory that Adar was blood bound to Sauron, but I don’t think so. Adar not only doesn't have any magical powers, but he wouldn’t be able to kill Sauron himself, if that was true. Blood binding is a blood oath, and it’s forever, unbreakable, and it prevents beings from harming or acting against one another (physically) in any direct way. That’s why “Rings of Power” introduced the clue that Sauron might be blood bound to Morgoth in 1x03; and that’s the reason he could never leave nor forsake his master even when he came to resent him.
This means, that, in "Rings of Power", Sauron, most likely, only has Morgoth as a reference to blood oaths. And he probably thinks this will go the same way with Galadriel, and he’ll keep her light to himself, allowing him to keep Morgoth at bay. Only her “light” is merely aesthetic, really. The light that shines on her hair and eyes is the light of the Two Trees of Valinor, and it shines on every Elf that was born during the Years of the Trees (and not only her). Because Galadriel is a complex and nuanced character, and ticking bomb that can turn dark at any minute.

One jail sentence at a time:
Poe dameron x reader
————————————————————————
The Resistance base was alive with its usual hum of activity—pilots running drills, mechanics working on X-wings, and droids zipping by with messages and supplies. In the middle of it all was Poe Dameron, leaning casually against his beloved Black One, his dark curls tousled by the breeze as he talked with Finn.
From across the hangar, Y/N watched them, arms crossed, debating whether or not to approach. Her track record with Poe was... complicated. Every conversation between them seemed to veer into a snark-off, with him coming out the charming victor each time. She, on the other hand, just managed to embarrass herself—repeatedly.
“Alright, Y/N,” she muttered under her breath, “it’s just Poe. He’s human. He can bleed... probably.”
She stepped forward, mustering her confidence. Finn noticed her first and flashed her a bright smile.
“Hey, Y/N!” he called, “we were just talking about you.”
“Oh, great,” she deadpanned, “nothing terrifying about that at all.”
Finn chuckled, but Poe’s smirk was unmistakable as he turned to face her. “Y/N, there you are. Finally ready to admit I’m the better pilot?”
She raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms tighter. “If by ‘better’ you mean ‘reckless,’ then sure.”
He grinned wider. “Reckless gets the job done.”
She rolled her eyes but couldn’t help the small smile tugging at her lips. Damn it, he was impossible to hate.
“So, what’s new with you?” Poe asked, and for a moment, there was a flicker of genuine curiosity in his gaze. Y/N could sense this was one of those rare moments where they weren't just sparring.
“Not much,” she shrugged, leaning against the wall near him. “Got myself into a bit of trouble the other day. Nothing I couldn’t handle.”
Poe raised an eyebrow. “Trouble? Now I’m interested.”
Y/N sighed dramatically, “Well, I’ll tell you this much: jail is no fun.”
Poe blinked, his smirk replaced with an expression of surprise. “Wait, you’ve been in jail?”
She grinned at him mischievously. “Once... in a game.”
Poe laughed—actually laughed—and Y/N felt a small surge of victory. His laughter was contagious, and soon Finn was chuckling too.
“You had me for a second there,” Poe said, shaking his head. “Almost believed it.”
“Almost?” she teased. “You totally bought it.”
Finn, sensing the moment between them, cleared his throat. “I’ll just... go check on Rey.” He waved, walking off, leaving Y/N and Poe standing in the emptying hangar.
The silence between them stretched out, but it wasn’t awkward. For once, Y/N didn’t feel like she had to constantly prove herself around him.
“So, what’s it really like?” Poe asked, leaning a little closer, his brown eyes sparkling with amusement. “This... ‘jail’ you speak of.”
“Terrifying,” she said, playing along. “The guards are relentless, the food’s terrible, and don’t even get me started on the droids.”
Poe’s lips twitched. “Sounds like a real nightmare.”
“Oh, it was,” she replied, biting her lip to keep from laughing. “But don’t worry, I’m a survivor.”
His gaze shifted, landing on her lips for just a second too long. “Yeah, you are.”
Y/N’s heart skipped a beat. Damn it, why did he have to be so smooth? She looked away, trying to focus on literally anything else.
Poe took a step closer, his voice lowering. “You know, you’re kind of a mystery, Y/N.”
She raised an eyebrow, forcing herself to meet his gaze again. “A mystery? How so?”
“Well, one minute you’re giving me grief,” he said, his tone playful but with an edge, “and the next... you’re in ‘jail.’ You’ve got layers.”
Y/N huffed, rolling her eyes. “I’m not that complicated.”
He grinned. “No? I don’t know... I’m still figuring you out.”
She felt the tension between them shift, something unspoken passing in the air. Before she could stop herself, she blurted out, “You’re not exactly easy to read either, Dameron.”
He raised an eyebrow. “Oh yeah? What’s confusing about me?”
Y/N swallowed. This was it. The moment where she should make an excuse, laugh it off, and leave before she said something dumb. But instead, she found herself stepping closer, her heart racing.
“Everything,” she said softly. “You’re... complicated too.”
For a split second, Poe’s charming bravado dropped. He looked at her, really looked at her, and something softened in his expression. “Maybe,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper. “Or maybe you just haven’t been paying close enough attention.”
Y/N blinked, her breath catching. She opened her mouth to respond, but before she could, Poe’s lips were on hers, gentle at first but quickly deepening as she responded.
Her mind spun. She was kissing Poe Dameron. Poe Dameron. And, holy stars, he was good at this.
They broke apart for a moment, both slightly breathless.
“So...” she whispered, trying to sound casual, “was that part of the jail interrogation process?”
Poe chuckled, brushing a strand of hair away from her face. “Nah, that was just for fun.”
She smirked, tilting her head. “I’ve had worse punishments.”
He grinned. “And I can think of worse places to be stuck with you.”
They both laughed, the tension melting into something more comfortable. But before either of them could say more, Poe added with a teasing smirk, “Besides... you do smell like vanilla. And I love vanilla.”
Y/N burst out laughing, the absurdity of the situation sinking in. She kissed him again, softer this time, her laughter mingling with his.
“And you,” she whispered against his lips, “are ridiculous.”
He grinned, pulling her close. “Yeah, but you like it.”

I honestly hate that Dabi’s abuse has to be debated. Like, it’s pretty clear as day that he was neglected by Enji.
The sheer fact that Touya was literally harming himself to be even noticed by his father should’ve been a massive red flag!
“Oh but Enji did the best he could-“ No, he didn’t? Enji could’ve at least put Touya through some mental health care or you know, STOP LIVING THROUGH HIS FUCKING KIDS!
Also, another thing that grosses me out about the MHA fandom is how people “joke” about how Rei only stayed was because Endeavor had a big sholng and that’s just pretty disgusting in of itself
Hi @palesweetscherryblossom 👋
Absolutely I hate the fact that what the todoroki family all went through has to be debated if it's abuse or not. I have seen people say that shoto was never abused and that enji done nothing wrong by training shoto to the point he puked his guts out at the age of 5 or that enji wasn't in the wrong for purposefully neglecting touya and inserting very harmful ideologies in his head. No enji may have not of abused touya physically but he definitely did abuse touya by neglecting him (neglect is a form of abuse!!!!)
It's still surprising that people can't pick up on the fact that enji very much did neglect touya and shoved the hero ideology down touya's throat (Iam aware that touya's backstory came from enjis pov probably to make enji look better but even with that there are clear signs of neglect)
Chapter 301 to 302 literally had touya say multiple times that it was enji who "lit this fire beneath him to beat all might and become a great hero". The blame is on enji and should be put on him for trying to use a child to live his own foolish dream while also filling the child's mind with harmful ideologies and ideas (I know full well that the whole girl comment that touya made towards fuyumi was directly influenced from enjis thinking and what enji probably told touya when he would ask whenever fuyumi wouldn't train with them)
The thing that some people can't seem to fully grasp is that touya was approximately 7 when all of his training stopped and he was abandoned by enji. Touya had a good 3 years spent being around enji almost 24/7 learning from him and being built to be this powerful masterpiece that is his father's favourite and all of that got taken from him because his body couldn't handle it. Now for a child at that age it would be difficult to understand why his father doesn't talk or love him anymore because I bet full well that touya probably connected enji training him = father son bonding time and as a sign that enji loves and cares for him the most. This is the reason why touya continues to train and harm himself so he can get enji's attention. In the end it was more about enji's love and attention than it was about becoming a hero. For touya becoming a hero was the key to his father's love and attention and that key was robbed from him because his body wasn't compatible with his quirk.
You have Rei literally calling out enji's neglect and behaviour saying that touya is only doing this because he wants his father's attention but enji replies saying that the only attention he can give is showing the path of a hero which is something that touya cant do. This literally goes to prove touya's own thinking as right. The only way touya can get his father's attention and love is by being the best machine to let his father's dream live through him. Touya needed to be the perfect puppet so his father could love him.
Then there's the fact that touya was Ultimately around 8 or so when he found out about the himura family and their secrets and why his mother is having children. All of that is too complex for a child and honestly traumatising to learn about but touya knew it from an incredibly young age. @thr0wnawayy 's post goes into more detail about touya learning what Rei had to go through and his whole family situation.
Enji should of helped touya understand it's not his fault, he should of loved his children equally and should of definitely given him therapy (the guy is rich there's no excuse for him not to take his child to a therapist)
Oh and don't even get me started on the fandoms messed up jokes when it comes to enji and Rei. It's like they don't even read the manga and realise that Rei didn't have a choice in any of this. She didn't stay because she liked it or because she wanted to, the poor women didn't have a choice at all.

rip to rian johnson but star wars sequels would be way better if ben solo was just kinda cowardly and han solo coded so he defected from the jedi and went to be a fun swashbuckling anarchist space cowboy instead
and finn and poe have to find him and try to convince him to come back to the rebellion but hes afraid who he is and what he could become
also instead of luke trying to kill his nephew for NO REASON (so insanely out of character it boils my blood) he just realises after ben dips thats hes not cut out for teaching. and is living on a mandalorian colony as rebellion liason/ambassador with chewie and sometimes lando i guess (din djarin is there) he aids the rebellion (because of course he would fuck that plotline) but he wont stay on the rebel base because he doesnt like all the chosen one clout and mandalorians are very chill and mind their own business
han and leia are still together and play active parts in the rebellion because fuck that plotline too although they do disagree about the ben situation (leia is annoyed and han is understanding) poe and ben childhood friends and for what.
in this au, rey is raised in the empire and is a sith lord but she has doubts and isnt as abjectly disgusting as kylo ren because of course not. (appears slightly too interested in the rebellion when poe is captured and maybe??? possibly lets finn and poe escape but thats up for debate.) rey gets more evil over course of movies before turning to light for plot drama and a satisfying zuko arc.
force awakens timeline
prophecy that a new jedi will rise and take down the dark side. rey and sith lord (dk who but fuck snoke im writing him out) assume it is the missing ben solo (its finn and rey tho fr) and are intent on finding him. movie opens on rey being evil probably and capturing poe. also finn as a character actully needs no real changes hes great. and then next scene space pirate ben solo doing his thing (but without identity revealed so we dont know who he is yet he may go by kylo because funny)
instead of luke poe has a lead on missing almost-jedi before he dipped ben solo and is searching for him on leias orders.(rebellion also believe the prophecy is about him. but nuh uh) torture scene and escape scene doesnt need to change but show reys nuances and how lost she is.
in the interest of narrative poe and finn still crash on tatooine but finn manages to pull poe out of the crash. (finn still gets the jacket at some point because i say so) poe is too injured to fly so they seek out help and and meet ben solo who saves them from pirates or something idk. (but neither know who the other is)
finn and poe convince ben solo to be their pilot still thinking hes a random smuggler named kylo. they get along very well, especially finn and ben. rey by this point is tracking their whereabouts
they end up on that lightsaber planet and ben gets the weird darth vader nightmare and freaks out, (hes afraid of being evil or something idk) poe is getting suspicious now also finn feels the force and takes up the lightsaber. rey comes and finn trys to hold her off. finn get hurt and drops lightsaber. ben is forced to take it up and his identity is revealed as rebel reeforcements led by han and leia arrive and they see him fighting. rey and ben have a weird charged moment (yes i guess i am still making reylo a thing but its reyben now and its woke so shh) and in a dramatic desperate effort he manages to knock her lightsaber away with the force. poe crawls into a plane at somepoint and blows up reys ship. the rebels destroy the stormtroopers but rey captures finn and escapes in a stolen ship.
ben has a oh-shit-i-said-id-never-use-the-force-again related existential crisis which makes him freak out and leaves. a distraught finn-less poe calls him a coward. poe picks up the discarded lightsaber and the jackettm and sadly packs them up. leia tells him about the starkiller and poe volunteers to go on the starkiller and save finn. han and leia have a sweet moment and han decides to go with poe on the suicide mission, chewie goes too.(chewie arrived at somepoint i guess)
mid hostage situation finn blocks reys force attempt and shes shook up. he sees something in her (finn is a beautiful sweetheart) and he trys to appeal to her. she force chokes him and books it out of there. but it is clear she fears him a little. he escapes with mind tricks and runs into han poe and chewie on the deck. finnpoe moment fr. poe gives him his jacket back in order to get the keep it it looks good on you line.
meanwhile ben is back on his ship(i guess its the falcon?) and he thinks about finn and his mom and luke or something.. a dream maybe?? idk something emotional and motivational for his arc. and he goes to a box under the floor in his ship and pulls out a green lightsaber. he turns the ship around.
on the ship poe finn han and chewie are planting the bombs and escaping when they get stopped by stormtroopers ordered by rey. poe is about to be shot by a big droid thing when it is cut in half by ben wow big reveal hes here oooo ah. rey is shot in the shoulder by chewie and angrily orders more stormtroopers. they cant take them all. han sacrifices himself by blowing up the bridge. he tells finn and poe to find luke in the mandolorian colony ben is distraught him and han have an emotional goodbye he tells him to tell leia he’s sorry and that he loves him and he proud of him then he makes chewy get ben out of there and he blows himself up. leia senses it v sad rip man but he had to die to intensify plot drama
rey chases them onto the ice planet and another weird charged moment. mind link established??? this time ben is too angry and grieving though so its not a good match and she wounds him real bad all over hes v scarred now. poe shoots at rey and throws lightsaber at finn. he gets ben onto the ship and finn and rey have the big force awakens show down. finn uses the force v powerful all that jazz the good guys get away. on the ship finn mentions how he felt a connection with rey to poe and claims he sees good in her
movie ends with meeting luke on mandolore. ben is very traumatised wont really speak to finn or poe and avoiding luke. finn returns lukes lightsaber and rey has doubts movie over. movies ends with ominous rey ben mind link
final notes (on first movie and overarching rewrite plans)
finn
finn is the protagonist of this movie so it would be much more character heavy on him them the original. more in depth on his stormtrooper trauma, how he always chooses the people he loves over the cause and his reluctance to join the rebellion. his friendship with poe and the han/leia parallel’s especially. relationships with han and ben important for his character exposition and he plays a key role in supporting both rey and bens character progression. possesses the strong sense of mercy and kindness at the heart of the star wars franchise.
rey
rey is raised in the first empire and does not know anything different. when she meets finn who was able to rebel and escape from the same system she is trapped in she becomes plagued by doubts and projects all of her hatred and resentment onto finn to compensate, but it is clear she fears him. to escape from her doubts she fixates on finding and capturing ben solo imagining him to be a frightening and terrible adversary. however when she meets him they see eachothers minds, and she sees how plagued by doubt and fear he is, how he runs from everything and he sees her too. they connect and develop a strange mutual fascination/understanding. this is put askew by finns appearance at the end of the movie in defence of ben. reys fear of finn increases when she sees the true extent of his power. she fears and hates equally finns strength of character and easy goodness and by extension hates ben for his alliance with finn. she blames finn for “taking” ben from her.
ben solo
kylo ren is a disgusting blight on the star wars names so ben solo is being completely reclaimed by me into a different character because i fucking hate that stupid pretentious eboy. instead ben solo is an incredibly han solo coded character with a heart of gold and deep love and loyalty to his friends and family. his main weakness as a character in this rewrite is his fear and lack of self belief. ben is terrified of being a jedi and of his own power. he fears his own nature and was so afraid he would become his grandfather that he ran from the jedi altogether. ben solo is a runner that wont face his problems, he runs from the jedi and from his parents to avoid failing or becoming something terrible. finn and ben recognise the need to run in eachother (although important distinction finn runs because he doesn’t want to fight for a cause. and ben runs because hes afraid he will be the reason the cause fails) and ultimately encourage eachother to break the cycle and stand their ground (well finn motivated ben in this movie, finns not fixed yet.) Bens arc in these movies is about learning to live with his own nature and fighting for what he believes in despite his fear. also dealing with mommy issues (ben is kind of jealous of poe and leias relationship the son she wanted or something blah blah blah etc) and being a malewife to his murder girlfriend. his job is kind of to support and fight with finn and later rey and help them save the world
finnpoe (will be a gay couple)
their friendship will be front and centre in these movies because they represent duty vs personal loyalty. poe puts the cause above all else and values his own life and personal relationships little. finn on the other hand is disillusioned with establishment cause of stormtrooper trauma and wants to protect himself and others from it. poe is the first person that finn truly bonds with and loves. he puts poe above everything, including being a jedi and the rebellion. this leads to a lot of fighting and discord between finn and poe as finn doesn’t understand how important the rebellion is to poe and poe doesnt get why finn is trying to protect him from it. ultimately though poe teaches finn faith and belief and finn teaches poe to accept love and value himself. (also many hanleia parallels) the two of them are the harbingers of a new age. poe as future leader of the new republic and finn as the jedi messiah or whatever. in terms of romance, im thinking slowburn. baity first movie, kiss at the end of the second and established relationship by the halfway mark of the third.
also when rey eventually joins the light in the beginning she refuses to talk to ben (cause of romantic drama i havent thought of yet but centres around some sort or betrayal in the second movie) or finn (because hes her narrative foil and slow burn best friend forever) so her first friend is poe and she kind of follows him around in her first few months before she eventually bonds with finn 4eva. her poe shadowing has lots of cute friend moments where they fly together and he tries to talk her down about finn and the ben drama but also more importantly it foreshadows her leadership ability and tactical mind as she gives him advice and aids him with the rebellion behind the scenes (also leads to leia taking rey under her wing probably because poe is her surrogate son and mirror) which will eventually lead to her and poe leading the republic together because in my mind rey is a jedi but actively a member of republic government because ben can’t do politics and finn won’t but shes great at it so she’d be a perfect jedi liason and vice president to poe. meanwhile finn and ben lead the jedi. finn as a knight travelling across the galaxy and ben as a teacher. (luke is happy in retirement rn on mandalore but leia is still probably an advisor in the republic because retirement is definitely not for her) and everyone is happy the end. force ghost han solo is clapping.

Jedi recruitment - ontological necessity or political pragmatism?
The fact that Jedi almost exclusively recruit pre verbal children is easily one of the most controversial aspects of the Order, in universe and amongst fans.
The debate broadly centres on why they do it and what the results (for individuals and at a systemic level) are. I would argue, based on what we see in material both pre and post the Disney acquisition, that this practice is not strictly necessary and is at least as much a successful political tool that benefits the Jedi as it is anything else.
So, why do the Jedi do it (according to them/their supporters)? There are basically 2 arguments that are made: i) untrained force sensitives are dangerous to themselves & those around them and ii) The Jedi order are the only appropriate institution to train them (both practically and philosophically).
On the first - this just isn't at all clear, and the Jedi's behaviour is further evidence that this is far less of a problem than they like to imply.
So far as we know the most natively powerful force connections in the Star Wars universe are Anakin Skywalker, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Rey Palpatine/Skywalker. People like Ben Solo/Kylo Renn, Mae and Osha Aniseya, Yoda, Sheev Palpatine all plausibly fit in to some kind of top 10. Anakin is probably/definitely at the top and the rest all fit in behind him.
Anakin, Luke, Leia, Rey, Ben, Osha all started training ranging from later than the Jedi ideal through to when they were full grown adults. All became powerful and dangerous (in the way that all people with super powers are), 3 of them fell to the dark side with dire consequences and 3 didn't. That is probably an argument in favour of Jedi style training if not recruitment, because their method seems to have significantly higher success rates (though not a perfect one).
It is also the wrong frame of reference. Far more interesting & insightful are all the children the Jedi DON'T recruit. There are basically 2 drivers behind these un-recruited Force sensitive children: Jedi only take children with the parents' consent & the Jedi only have jurisdiction inside the Republic.
I personally am very dubious of the claim that every child who was ever recruited by the Jedi was done so with the parents consent. For this argument I am willing to assume it is true.
Why do the Jedi only take kids with parental consent? If untrained force sensitives are so dangerous surely they should be taking all children regardless? This introduces 2 points of tension: either the Jedi don't always respect consent or they do, and the reason they do is because it isn't actually as strictly necessary to take these kids as they like to imply.
The fact that they only operate within the borders of the Republic is a second proof point. The Republic is the largest but not the only geopolitical body in the GFFA. You have Hutt space, Wild Space, the Unknown Regions, Hapes Cluster etc. If untrained force sensitives really were such a great threat that only the Jedi can handle them a) it is a very dubiously defensible for the Jedi to say "ah shucks the border is here" b) it would suggest that the other political entities would have at least some sort of co-operative agreement with the Jedi and c) you would presumably see dozens of rogue force users operating in these non-Republic spaces with grave consequences.
You don't.
I get that Force sensitives are rare but they are sufficiently common that the Jedi Order has pretty clear and constantly renewed generations. You don't ever see only a single youngling, there aren't years or decades where there are no padawans because the seekers haven't found anyone for 20 years.
So presumably - like Anakin and Rey and Mae and Osha - force sensitives are being born pretty frequently outside the Republic. They by definition aren't being found and raised by the Jedi. Yet we don't see any especially dire consequences of this.
It therefore doesn't seem at all clear that it is a necessity for the Jedi to take these children - and the Jedi's own behaviour reinforces that conclusion.
The second claim is that the Jedi - and only the Jedi - can appropriately train these children. I think there are 2 elements to "appropriately train": the first is mechanical ie the Jedi a actually know how the force works and can teach you to move rocks or whatever and the second is a question of values or philosophy ie the Jedi teach you selflessness.
Notably, the Jedi actually blend these 2. They explicitly discuss "right" and "wrong" ways to achieve the same outcome. You can find your calm centre and channel the Force dispassionately to lift a rock, you can also tap into your emotions to do so. These achieve the same output with - seemingly - the same mechanic but the Jedi consider the latter pathway dangerous and inappropriate.
On the purely mechanical - they are clearly not the only people who can teach this. We know about smaller "legitimate" Force cults (like the Guardians of the Hills, Fallanassi, Sorcers of Tund, Yacombe - notably for seeking balance between light and dark in their own practice) as well as "illegitimate" cults like the Night Sisters (it is not clear to me if the Dathomiri Night Sisters and the Brendok Coven are factions of a single group or distinct) and the Sith. They were all able to manipulate and use the Force. They were all capable of teaching these abilities to others. The nature of their abilities were not perfectly consistent - different cults could do different things, including things that members of other cults would not even recognise.
Not only were there other people out there who could use the Force and teach others to do so, they were also teaching and using techniques the Jedi didn't know or understand. So the Jedi clearly were not the only people capable of this instruction.
What they did have was an effective monopoly on legitimate instruction. All the other cults mentioned were either literally illegal (Sith), totally unofficial and unrecognised and suffered some degree of official persecution (Night Sisters), or were significantly smaller and more localised than the Jedi. None enjoyed "official" status or the backing of the largest government in the GFFA like the Jedi.
On the question of values or philosophy it is clear that the Jedi don't have a monopoly on selflessness or being a good person. Nor is it evident that the very specific Jedi interpretation of "goodness" is the only tool (or even a necessary tool) to prevent Force users from becoming dangerous.
The evidence for this is the fact that with the exception of the Sith, none of the above cults seem to ever have posed some kind of meaningful or sustained threat to peace or stability in the GFFA. There have been individual members who have done bad, even monstrous things, but there is nothing inherent in their philosophy that makes them or their use of the Force dangerous.
Equally, it is worth coming back to the prior point that the Jedi have - throughout history - been the single most common source of Sith. In fact they seem to be the only one of these cults that has any record of inadvertently being a source for future Sith. That is to say - all Sith seem to either be raised from "birth"/only ever been trained by other Sith (like Maul, or Palpatine) or to be former Jedi.
So we are now in a place where i) untrained Force sensitives don't actually pose some kind of existential threat ii) the Jedi are not the only people capable of providing technical instruction in using the Force and iii) there is nothing particular about Jedi teachings that makes them especially resistant to the dark side in general and Sith in particular. If anything, they seem more likely to inadvertently produce future Sith than the other cults.
A small diversion to explore what it is the Jedi seek to teach and how: Attachment is bad.
I would argue the Jedi restrictions on emotion are significantly more extensive than that. It is functionally all forms of love or affection that they are opposed to or at least very disapproving of. Equally they don't seem to have much room for other emotions. Certainly not anger but not even grief or sadness. These latter 2 are in many ways the most illustrative - there is Yoda's advice that Anakin rejoice for those who transform into the Force; and in the Acolyte we got Jecki's "It's always an honour to witness anything or anyone transform into the Force".
That is bizarre as hell. Always? It is always an honour? This is the instinctive rote response to "I feel very bad for getting that animal killed"?
I am not saying that Yoda and Jecki and the Jedi teachings are completely wrong. I am saying that they don't sound like they make room for the full gamut of emotions. They don't teach "feel sad, own it, acknowledge it, process it, and let it go". They teach "don't be sad".
That is not a very helpful philosophy. It just doesn't engage with the reality that emotions are totally natural and largely unavoidable functions of human (and presumably in GFFA other sapient) physiology.
It presumably has more to it than I am acknowledging but either way it doesn't seem especially compelling. Why can't this be taught (consistently successfully) to adults? I would have reservations about ANY philosophy that openly explained that it basically only works on children who have no competing frame of reference or adults who have lost all their friends and family. That is deeply suspicious.
Even if it isn't the philosophy itself per se it says nothing good about the pedagogical methods of the Jedi.
The other consideration here is that the sensible bits of the philosophy are pretty shallow - and not at all unique to the Jedi. Especially in fandom when basically any "bad decision" by a Jedi or other Force user is explained by "oh ho they're thinking with their emotions and attachments" while "good decisions" are "Jedi-like" and must come from a place of detachment.
2 examples - Shmi's decision to let Anakin go with the Jedi is often described as "Jedi like" and demonstrates a lack of selfish attachment that Anakin would have done well to emulate. This is nonsensical for a number of reasons, not least of which being that Shmi had literally zero agency in this situation. She isn't make a real, informed choice either way. More than that, the alternative is "my child stays a slave'. Many parents all over the world (and presumably the GFFA) make sacrifices for the good of their children all the time. So these relationships clearly don't preclude someone being selfless or "unattached" as the Jedi define. Yet it remains the most commonly prohibited relationship by the Jedi. It is explicitly the one relationship they are guaranteed to prohibit for every one of their members. Mother Aniseya in the Acolyte is another example - I think her decision making around Osha is bonkers. However it is held up as selfless and unattached that it is her who chooses to let Osha go with the Jedi, and everyone else who ruins it by being attached. What is missed though is WHY she makes that decision. "I choose Mother". It is expressly in choosing to prioritise her familial relationship with Osha over her political one with the Coven that she "let's go" of Osha.
So not only do you not need to be a Jedi to make these sorts of decisions and learn these lessons, you definitely don't need to be isolated from familial relationships.
I would argue an even more interesting example from the Acolyte is Mae. In the season finale she is the only one who comes at all close to some kind of "Jedi like" decisions. She doesn't want revenge, she wants Sol to confess his crimes and face systemic justice. This from a girl whose life was ruined by the Jedi and then at some point she got found and trained by the "Sith" (I am not sold Qimir is a de jure Sith but I digress).
She was almost as far from a Jedi as possible but still came to the "Jedi like" decision. There are also lots of people with less extreme background who do the same.
So what gives? What is so special about Jedi training? I would suggest that from the perspective of teaching people the technical skills to use the force and the values to not abuse it... not much.
Certainly not enough to warrant a state backed effective monopoly that empowers you to test any child you wish and take the vast majority of them.
Even if you accept that the Jedi (and other Force cults) are right that only the Light Side can be safely used, the Jedi are not the only people who believe or teach that. So why do they deserve to be the only ones allowed to (en masse) recruit and train children?
So why then do the Jedi do it and why do the Republic allow them to do it? To me it seems much more about maintaining a monopoly on legitimate violence and use of the Force.
What taking children in early and separating them from their family, denying them any material possessions outside of their role in the Order, does is ensure they are loyal to you and don't have any other options.
The extent to which people are free to leave - formally and practically - seems very limited. In the thousands of years of the Order's written records, only 20 Masters have left. Even if we assume (eg per the Acolyte and TCW) that more non-masters have left, it remains a very small number. The practical limitations seem most pertinent - as per Osha, as well as our own observations - being raised a Jedi just doesn't prepare you to do anything except be a Jedi. Add that to the lack of network or resources outside the Order (as well as eg material threats of slavery because people want access to Force sensitives), and it becomes very difficult to leave willingly.
@redrikki has written compelling on this but the Jedi are demonstrably a cult. A significant element of that is the concentration of political, material, and in Star Wars metaphysical power.
Specifically recruiting and isolating and raising children serves the Jedi's aims of i) ensuring their ongoing hegemony and ii) is a mechanism for preventing or suppressing conflict. You simply diminish the number of people who can actually enter into conflict with you because you do your best to ensure they're all working for you. This is plausibly at least partially noble - you head off any conflicts that might require your intervention.
That nobility is thinned by the earlier discussion because it begs the question of what kind of conflict are the Jedi preventing (or gearing up to fight)?
Let us be clear - the Sith are a toxic, destructive ideology that should be opposed. Their philosophy is self-serving and violent. They are quite literal evil.
I just don't think their existence justified the children taking and isolating as many children as they can. This is especially true in the 1000 years leading up to the Prequels. As far as the Jedi believed, there were no Sith. So not even the Jedi were using the Sith - and any conflict with them, which I would say is a justified conflict - as the justification for the policy.
What kind of conflicts were they therefore seeking to prevent? I would suggest they were attempting to avoid any conflict over resources or support or legitimacy with other smaller Force cults. Even worse, I think they were avoiding a scenario where it became plausible to argue that the Jedi weren't necessary at all.
In a world where the Jedi are not actively recruiting children I would imagine 2 things happen: other Force cults become larger and more prominent, sufficiently large to start exerting political influence. This is not necessarily counter to the Jedi or a threat but it is also not necessary aligned with the Jedi. Even if not malicious, it would be a different set of priorities and a different set of philosophies that the Jedi (and the Republic writ large) would need to engage with.
These cults are different to each other and the Jedi. They by definition do not agree on all/some of the mechanics of the Force, the values and philosophies that govern it, its appropriate use, and the role of Force sensitives in the Galaxy. If they were perfectly aligned they wouldn't be distinct cults. These different groups operating in the galaxy, recruiting, preaching, proselytising pose a necessary risk (or at least complication) to the Jedi's role.
At minimum it likely results in someone somewhere asking "what is up with all these cults? Are they all Jedi? Do they all get the same rights and privileges?" and this opens up a series of conversations as to which groups get what and why. In a broadly pluralist context, as the Republic seems to be, it isn't clear to me that you could neatly draw that out in a way that is clear and practicable to the Senate.
If they do start actively behaving or advocating in ways that are counter to the Jedi's interests, it is unclear how the Jedi could respond. Let's assume the Jedi have the best interest of the Republic at heart. Let's assume the other groups do too (or at least are willing to say they are, even if self-serving). How would these disagreements get resolved in a way that is systemically defensible and legitimate in the eyes of the galaxy? "The Force says so" is not really an option when both parties can legitimately use it.
It is far simpler for the Jedi to just head this off by ensuring these other cults remain small, or at least the Jedi remain significantly larger and more wide spread.
The other thing that happens if the Jedi don't have a near monopoly on force sensitive kids, is many of these kids grow up... basically fine. Sure they're lucky and fast and good at telling when people are lying, and probably crazy good at Space Baseball and whatever, but they don't pose any kind of major threat to the galaxy. Based on what we have seen, and the lack of rogue force sensitives going on rampages outside the Republic, this seems like the most likely outcome.
How do the Jedi justify themselves to the Senate then? How do they maintain their independence and status if you've got non-Jedi force sensitives running for office or serving in the diplomatic corp? Non-Jedi force sensitives in the policing and security services?
A significant element of the Jedi's status and privilege is that they are legitimately very, very good at things. The Force does make you better at discerning the truth, reading people, sensing the long term outcomes of decisions, combat etc. It makes the Jedi significant assets.
They're also a mysterious and poorly understood religious order. For historical reasons this has been tolerated, and the Jedi have justified their ongoing independence through effectiveness and lack of alternatives.
Lots of non-Jedi Force sensitives, with access to non-Jedi teachers who can still teach them the mechanics of the Force, severely challenges that status.
Again this is not a wholly or even mostly nefarious concern for the Jedi to have. In the same way that more planets/entities having independent militarised security forces ala the Trade Federation might be a challenge to stability, having more (potentially militarised) Force sensitives has a risk. However, the policy of Jedi monopoly on recruitment is only one way of managing that risk, and it is a way that simultaneously cements their position in the Republic.
Importantly - this also all suits the Republic itself. While I am sure some people want their own Force sensitive armies, no one wants someone else to have them. I also imagine no one is excited about having to fund a second or third mysterious religion filled with (potentially) super powered warrior diplomats. No one wants more competing interests and jurisdictional debates etc.
So I don't think this is an example of the Jedi somehow tricking the Republic or behaving deceitfully or doing anything except their very best to do what they think is right.
That just doesn't mean this isn't a political policy.

Parallels between Fuuta and Muu's stories (ft. Rei)
Tws for usual Milgram stuff (bullying, suicide)
Even though Es is saying the above to Muu, isn't it interesting how this seems to pertain to both of them?
Quick key because I say these words a lot in this post: Bring It On -> BIO It's Not My Fault -> INMF Fuuta and Muu have a fundamentally similar story about bullying, participating in it, and experiencing it as a result of that instigation. These stories are told in a way that parallel each other, and where one has blanks, the other does not.
In trial 1, they are both unwilling to confront their role within their crime as a defense mechanism against a fear of punishment. This changes for Fuuta and not Muu because of his verdict forcing him to face it. Essentially, their ideas can be summarized:
Muu's story is told in such a way that she completely omits that she *had* bullied anyone to begin with, while Fuuta's makes it obvious from the get go. Even in INMF, it's unclear what she actually did.
Despite the straightforwardness of BIO, Fuuta's flaw is him not taking full responsibility and shifting blame for Killcheroy's death, while Muu shows us her killing Rei clear as day
Fuuta seems to know what he's doing, but justifies it with groupthink and halfhearted ideas of justice. In a way, Muu shares this idea: "if it's against a bad person, it can be justified".
This belief only works as long as they're not in the position of the "other": they have to uphold that they are good, and the enemy is bad. Their current fates are a cautionary tale on what happens if the very same idea is applied to them.
Muu's idea of bullying is something that is physical in nature, which makes it something she didn't do. (Although that stands to question Rei's state at the end of INMF...)
Muu may not have *personally* soaked Rei and Fuuta may not have *personally* harassed his victim beyond the doxx, but they are still instigators that participated in and enabled this behavior for others
Both seem to downplay or otherwise not understand the severity of their actions because of the lack of direct/physical involvement
They both place themselves as leaders within their friend group (probably more true for Muu)
The way their bullying is depicted is quite detached from reality for the most part (Fuuta's RPG crusade, Muu as a bee creature)
Their denial in their respective areas show up in different ways in BIO and INMF -- Killcheroy appears as her online avatar rather than a human, Muu's group appears as inhuman bug creatures made of porcelain
BIO and INMF have the two take on aggressor roles in their music videos, but there are still glimpses of uncertainty in their otherwise pretty striking messages
In terms of how they carry themselves, their roles reverse after the first trial.
Fuuta starts out in trial 1 with an aggressive attitude to deflect blame -> unforgiven verdict. He is punished, and subsequently portrayed as pitiful and weak, seeking to be saved. In early timeline conversations he was often rude and obnoxious, but in the 2024 ones he clumsily shows concern for the other prisoners and seems quite docile after "[finding] something to rely on".
Muu starts out pitiful and punished -> innocent verdict. Muu is freed from punishment, and she shifts to a smug attitude. Her later timeline conversations with the other prisoners are quite jarring because of how out of touch she seems from them.
If we see an uglier side of Fuuta in t3 and it leads to an unforgiven verdict, it'll be full circle. I could see the debate on whether he *really* feels bad or is just acting on self preservation playing into it (which I've seen a great post about if you're interested in that) The same could go for Muu's story becoming sympathetic again because we've already seen something that could lead to such a high unforgiven ratio, but who knows.
Some more shared impressions between t1 Muu and t2 Fuuta:
Approval seeking
Suicidal thoughts
(Even though the After Pain lyric is vague, the rest of the MV is pretty bleak to back it up)
Now, on Fuuta's parallels with Rei.
While we don't know a lot about her outside of the portrayal Muu gives her, there are still things we can gather.
Both are outsiders. In Rei's case, she seemed to have not been in Muu's friend group to begin with, while Fuuta was eventually cast out of his.
We don't actually know if she's a friendly person or not, but it seems that she is straightforward and not the kind of person to keep up appearances.
In Muu's portrayal of Rei, she seems to be looking down on her group, casting judgement on a basis that seems to appear moral (given her look of disgust juxtaposed with Muu's group bullying a girl). Their fate is a direct "consequence" of their judgements, with Rei being killed and Fuuta having killed another.
They are both drawn with sharp eyes and thick, triangle-shaped eyebrows, the latter trait being not shared by anyone else in the cast.
@caeyrin:
All in all, I'm really looking forward to seeing what the last piece of their stories will be in trial 3. For Fuuta I'd really like to know about Rumerie's place here, and for Muu what exactly happened between her, her friends, and Rei.

IF U SEEK AMY ! ִ ࣪𖤐
stop ahhh 1. im so proud of you !! 2. you deserve literally every litte follower ngl 🦘
Here's my description, I guess: I can't stand social media, but I use it every day. I've been obsessed with Greek mythology since I was a child—I can't live without it. English is my third language, so I'm still not great at it, even though I speak around seven languages. I'd say I'm a pretty extroverted person. I don't have any specific hobbies, but I enjoy engaging in art a lot since I go to an art school.
My favorite artist is probably Caravaggio, and when it comes to music, my favorite artist is Lana Del Rey. I love her dreamy, melancholic style. I enjoy reading, especially books related to mythology and history. Some of my favorite books include "The Song of Achilles" , "Circe” , any murakami & rick riordan book and “The Secret History”
I'm passionate about learning and exploring new cultures, and I hope to travel more in the future. I’m also interested in psychology and how people think and behave.
I'm turning 17 this year, and I'm so freaking scared about what the future holds... i think that would be all ( btw im a straight female 🙌 )

HENRY WINTER ⭑.ᐟ
⟢ “but if you send for me, you know i’ll come; and if you call for me, you know i’ll run!”
I think henry winter (tsh) would be the best book bf for you (:
he’s such a grandpa when it comes to social media. you teach him how to operate on insta, youtube, etc.
you guys probably definitely met in julian’s class and it was not love at first sight at all—he was jealous you were so good at greek; so much better than him
but slowly, as you started hanging out outside the friend group, he finds so many similarities that he can’t help falling for you
the time he confessed to you was surprising and funny—he had said it in another language, hoping you didn’t speak it (but how stupid was he to take chances with a polygot like you?)
you compliment his introvertedness with your bubbly extroverted personality
being greek students, you both loved visiting museums—for the statues and the art; so expect a lot of museum dates!
also, library dates!!!! since you both love greek mythology and reading, why not? because you both definitely debate on key themes in many retellings and have a great time doing it
you share the same favourite artists—in art and music—driving you even more together
you guys go on a world tour for your two year anniversary!!
whenever thoughts of the future overwhelm you, he’s always there to reassure you that no matter what, you’ll face it together
+ both of you probably definitely grow older together and become heads of the psychology departments in two different ivy leagues <3

DR: One Shot - Prologue First Impressions
Everyone cheer!!! Danganronpa One Shot’s prologue just released {go read it if you haven't it's awesome}, so I figured I'd record my first impressions the same way I did with DRDT CH2 PT2! As usual with this kind of post, don’t expect anything too cohesive or any impressive insight or whatever, these are just my silly thoughts on something I’m very excited about. I also don’t know how this is gonna go with a written format but, uh… we’ll find out!
CW: Thankfully DROS has its own cw system, here's the ones for the prologue :)
Ante Up, huh? Really like that title :D
“Maybe I finally exude enough of a VIP aura that the security guards just left me alone!” I love this protag’s attitude immediately, I’ve been really intrigued by Ellis’ vibe for an entire week by now and I’m already loving it!
“Ellis: Clearly, I’m in heaven, if I’m lookin’ at you~” FIRST. LINE. Goddamn Ellis does not beat around the bush.
“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take, right?” Watch this idea be one of the main themes of One Shot. I doubt it for now but it’d be funny.
“...we see a robot walk into the room. It’s a strange, spindly metal humanoid, almost like a mannequin. Its movements are stilted, seemingly only able to bend at key points in its design.” Damn that’s a creepy ass mascot design actually, awesome.
Monoquin is an awesome name, I love it. Also I wonder who had to be dragged to the room, Eight or Fifteen by the color?
“[Brown]: “Monoquin,” huh? And how’d you get us here? You must have some kind of establishment behind you.” Hi Six, you’re doing great sweety. Also the names are lining up with my predictions so far, right? Just Long and Rey so far, but…
Young too actually, I might have cooked.
“Ellis: Wow, so we’re all special? I was worried it was just me.
???: An Ultimate? Me…?” Ellis I love you and Five’s not beating the “blank slate” allegations so far lol.
Listen, I didn’t want to bring attention to it earlier, but if you’re gonna call them “Mx Ho” I have to point out how objectively funny that name is. Also I think this also lines up with the name guesses, which I’ll stop pointing out now unless it’s contradicted.
“Hope’s Oasis Resort and Casino.” A casino and resort, huh… Really interesting setting, very unique! Also Fifteen and Fourteen are gonna catch all the MM allegations unless this series doesn’t do an in-class MM lol. {This was said with my original talent predictions in mind lol}
“[Grey]: Modeled after a school in Japan, right as the apocalypse begins in Japan?
[Orange]: We don’t… know it’s an apocalypse. That seems a little dramatic, right?” … Oh. Oh. This is happening concurrently to the start of the Tragedy? The setting gets more interesting by the second.
“There is no way that my talent can be something as boring as the “Ultimate Lucky Student.”” I love Ellis x3. Also got the talent right! Even though I feel everyone and their mothers could have called it. Though I wanna note one of the possible talents they came up with is “Ultimate Champion,” which suggests they’ve probably won… something with their luck? We’ll see.
“Ultimate Moneymaker! The Ultimate Stock Market King! The Ultimate Investing Intellect!” I’m reading this one how am I still so bad about writing reactions right before shit gets explained? But yeah, stocks! That raises the question of whether Ellis even realizes they’re capital L Lucky or not, which is interesting.
By the way, I like the sprites, they’re very charming :)
“...even if we are debatably trapped here with a creepy living mannequin, there are still lots of cuties here.” Forget Ten being the Ultimate Romantic, Ellis is the Ultimate Flirt damn-
“[Light blue]: Cool! My name is Robert Smith, he/him, and, uh… it’s a little embarrassing, but… My “talent” is that I’m the Ultimate Normie.” YOOO! That’s hilarious actually. And I got this right! “Ultimate Regular Person” or something had been my guess, and that’s pretty much what this is! Though “normie” is a hell of a choice lmao.
“… He’s really giving me nothing to work with here.” Ellis is trying so hard it’s hilarious.
"Ellis: Wow… all these beautiful flowers, and yet, you’re the one I can’t take my eyes off of~
I watch their expression deaden for a second, but they take a short breath and quickly replace it with an effortlessly charming smile."
“Davis: Nice to meet you, Ellis. I’m Davis Love, he/him, and… I guess I’m the Ultimate Bachelor.” Interesting reactions to the flirting, especially given the talent… And while “Romantic” seems way off, I did get the general ballpark of “relationships.”
I don’t want to just copy paste all his dialogue, but Davis is… very interesting so far. Obviously doesn’t like the talent, but pretty confident it’s right… hm… Very curious where this one’s going.
“Kennedy: Monoquin told me that this room rotates from scene to scene every once in a while. Called it a Show Room. But he didn’t tell us why they change it…”
“I’m Kennedy Rey, Ultimate Conspiracy Theorist. Any pronouns.” Someone who makes insane theories from almost non-existent evidence... Holy shit did they put me in the killing game? :O /silly
Anyways, the show room sounds very… strange. Like a good way of setting up interesting murder mysteries, you know. Also Ellis’ comments about handcuffs are… so off the cuff (heh) he’s awesome.
“Kennedy: So they’re modeling Hope’s Peak closely… If you’re the “Ultimate Lucky Student,” despite us not being high schoolers, then they care more about being true to form than accuracy…” That actually is a pretty good point, given Ellis doesn’t seem to be a student- Oh God I’m actually listening to the Conspiracy Theorist. And I’m probably gonna end up listening to her a lot. How low will I fall?
“Vanessa: Well, in that case, I guess I’d say I found something that caught my eye, too.” Finally… someone that matches Ellis’ freak :O
“I’m Vanessa Bravo, and I’m the Ultimate Announcer! She/her pronouns for me, thanks!” Announcer! Really cool actually!
“Ellis: I’ve always been rather lucky with money. Gambling, knowing what stocks to invest in, finding money lying around… I’m your guy when it comes to making and spending cash. [...] Or a few choice stocks left to me by my dearly departed grandfather.” Backstory pieces already!!!
This does make me wonder how much accirax actually knew about Ellis before the game. I don’t know how roleplaying works :v She’d know everything about Ellis from the start, right? That would be my guess, might send an ask to the av-multifangan account later lol.
“Vanessa: Plus, the way he reveals information is so boring. I could do a way better job. Like, “oh, by the way, you’re Ultimates, like Hope’s Peak.” Where’s the drama? Where’s the delivery?” I always love when Ultimates are so passionate about their Thing :D
“They wear identical black and white attire with a red tie, including masks that cover the lower halves of their faces. Those, too, are split in half with black and white, reminiscent of Monoquin.” Ah, terrifying, cool.
“Taylor: Sorry, I should introduce myself. I’m Taylor Long, they/them pronouns, and I guess this place thinks of me as the Ultimate Impressionist.” Ooh, really cool! Not what I would have guessed but it’s awesome still!
“Ellis: I can see why. You’ve already left quite the impression on me.” How many pick-up lines does accirax have in stock? She’s actually so good at playing a flirty character damn.
“In a single moment, their entire demeanor shifts, becoming much more confident as they wink, pointing a finger gun towards me.
Taylor: “After all, I must be lucky too, to be meeting such a catch~ Everything’s coming up Taylor!” Oh this talent could be fun.
“Monoquin: Ah, they are the staff. They are intended to help the Resort run smoothly, as well as to make your stays here as luxurious as possible. If you have any requests, please don’t hesitate to ask a staff member. They won’t bother you unless you’d like their attention, but I assure you, they’re quite friendly.
Note Obtained: Staff Members” Love the note system, and you know I’m gonna use it! I’ll keep track of them always, don't you worry.
[Three locked doors] Õ_o
“???: I’m Vivian Mitchell, but you can call me Vivi! She/they pronouns. And, I’m the Ultimate Doctor! Or, uh… they call it something else…
Ellis: Ultimate Hot-tor?
Vivi: No… apparently, they think of me as the Ultimate Mad Doctor.” what.
Okay that’s awesome actually. Really interested in that talent actually.
“Why are there so many batshit insane people here?! Is that what being an “Ultimate” actually means???” Ah, can’t forget the classic realization!
“Ellis: …I won’t be in danger of death any time soon.
Vivi: Of course! No one will be, with me around.” Really interesting confidence, also I don’t know if that’s a death flag or setting up a mental breakdown upon the first death :v
“Vivi: If we can conquer death, we’ll be unstoppable!” Ah so she’s insane insane got it. Vivi’s definitely climbed the rankings of characters I’m curious about, what is her Deal???
“They giggle, then place a hand delicately on my arm.
Antonia: How charming. Tell me, darling, are you here to play~?
Ellis: Sure am. So, how much are you in for…?
Antonia: Well, considering I’m the dealer, I suppose you’d make the first move.
Ellis: Dealer?
They flourish.
Antonia: The Ultimate Dealer, Antonia Cisneros, at your service. She/her.” Hi Fourteen I’m your biggest fan. I wasn’t expecting Dealer but it’s a really interesting talent regardless!
[More dialogue] Holy shit she’s matching Ellis’ freak exactly actually. What in the name of card-game-related sexual tension.
“Antonia: I do believe we’re in Las Vegas. I’ve spent my time in plenty of Casinos, and I know my city when I see it.
Ellis: Hey, you’re from Vegas? Me too! Wow, we have so much in common…” Ooh… I wonder if Antonia’s right? If she is, that’s a crazy call, which I guess is expected of the Ultimate Dealer… call’s a poker term right i have no idea how this works. Also cool that we’re getting even more on Ellis’ background already!
“Aidan: I’m Aidan Ho. I don’t really care about pronouns, so just use he/him, I guess. And, according to a slip of paper I saw this morning, I’m, apparently, the Ultimate Contrarian.” Oh that’s what the Xs were for lol. Interesting title, and also kinda explains the fit, hmmm…
Also I called Antonia and Aidan being a pair, right? Well they got introduced together at least, so it’s something :v
“Aidan: Think about your actions before following the weird mannequin’s orders mindlessly?” Well I’m certainly seeing the title. Aidan seems peculiar. Another one on the list of intriguing characters. Which is probably gonna be at least sixteen people long lmao.
“???: I’m Paris Hall, and here, you’ll come to know me as the Ultimate Gossip! I use she/her pronouns, if you didn’t already know~” Okay, “spill the tea” that’s what the tea cups were about, that’s hilarious actually xD Would not have guessed this one in a billion years, but it’s really interesting. I can only imagine the kinda shit this one’s gonna get into when investigations happen.
“Paris: Got anyone you’re interested in?
Ellis: Interested how?
Paris: In any way. Ask, and I’m sure I’ll have something I can tell you about them.” Wow she works fast damn. Guess that’s the Ultimate Gossip yeah :p
“As friendly as she seems, I gotta be careful with my words around this one. She could easily turn what she knows about me into some sort of slander campaign, and that would NOT be good for the Ellis Ortiz brand.” I wonder how literally we’re meant to take the “brand” thing :v
“Cass: I’m Cassidy Torres, or Cass for short, she/they. And, here, I guess I’m the Ultimate Agent.” Ooh, cool talent!
Note Obtained: Customer Service Desk: There are locked rooms with objects that can be requested of staff. Requests are written on a sheet of paper, which include name if delivered to a room, but can be anonymous if delivered to the desk. Free of charge. {This is my own summary btw, not the note that's actually in the e-handbook}
Very cool concept! I can already see how this could play into murders in many ways. Obviously getting items anonymously is interesting, and I could see some kind of crazy way of framing someone by sending something suspicious to their rooms? In any case, this kind of list of information can go insane, reminds me slightly of SDRA2’s immaculate Trial 3.
A bar? This is Vegas, so USA, so drinking age is 21, yeah? I wonder if that’ll be brought up.
“???: Jeff Breeze, Ultimate Absentee. He/they for me.” What is this talent. Alright so forget what I said about Fifteen being suspicious, only Antonia’s talent seems related to the place so far.
“Jeff: Eh… I don’t really stick around to find out. I go where I want, and when it’s time to leave, I go.” What? This guy’s even more confusing than Greek Letters dude, who hasn’t even shown up yet. Really curious about them though.
“Grace: I have a boyfriend.” Welp. That was fast xD
“???: I’m Grace Thomas, and I use they/them pronouns. I’ve been dubbed the Ultimate Clockmaker.” CLOCKS!!! Well, I’ve been known to love Clockmakers (beyond occasionally accusing them of murder) so I’m down to see what Grace’s got going on.
“Grace: I don’t think there’s much use in speculation. We should put our efforts where we can for now, and come back to gather what information we can once it’s time.” Logical, I like them :)
“Ellis: Do you… not know your name?
[Nine]: …
They sigh.
[Nine]: I don’t. Or where I’m from, or my Ultimate talent, or… anything. Sorry to disappoint.” :)
Damn even the pronouns are ??? that’s funny.
So going by the fact I’ve gotten every other name right I’m assuming this guy is in fact “Mark dros” from the tags, so they’ll probably come up with the name soon. I’ve said before I’m a sucker for mystery characters, and that hasn’t changed yet!
“Noah: I’m Noah Walker, he/him, and here, I guess I’m the Ultimate Frat Boy!” THAT’S WHAT YOU ARE! I did call him being a frat boy, I just wasn’t expecting that to be the talent! Wonder what’s up with the Greek letters then…
“And I’m Harper Young, ve/ver pronouns. According to this establishment, I qualify to be the Ultimate Philanthropist.” Yeah that’s kinda close to my guesses. I forgot this word existed lol. Cool talents!
“Ellis: Did you just meet now, or did you somehow know each other before you got here?
Harper: We’ve been acquainted in the past, yes.
Noah: My frat hosts charity events and stuff, so sometimes people like Harper would drop in and help us out.” Oh cool! Can’t wait for one of them to die so the other one gets sad! :D
One outfit per student, usual business. Cameras are normal, no V3 shenanigans. Interested in the idea that some people may pick up clothes or accessories from the Desk, though I’m not sure if or how that will really come into effect.
The conversations are so cool! These characters bounce off each other so well, I love them all already :D
“Vanessa: Then, uh… Mark! You’re Mark.
Noah: You mean like… question Mark…?
Vanessa: It works, right?” Genius. Zero notes on this. Just flawless naming convention.
Note Obtained: Monoquin’s Hands: They serve as a master key to all the doors in the building. Ellis wonders if they can ask staff for these hands.
Hmm… That one’s interesting. Really gotta watch whether attacking Monoquin is against the rules or not. I could see this coming into play really late into the game, like CH5-6 late.
{By the way, I don’t know how I missed this the first time around, but sixth installment of the killing game is actually crazy, I wonder how it’ll come up. And I wonder if it’s related or a reference to how many fangans venus and accirax made before this one, since this is in fact their sixth :p - That was written before the Notice that it is not, in fact, related. I did figure it was, if anything, an in-joke more than anything actually plot-relevant, but still, lmao, good catch guys xD}
“Voiceover: The game concludes when there is only one survivor left.” So this is gonna end with the destruction of the killing game probably. Feeling lucky with my guesses, why not?
Wait actually.
Note Obtained: Killing Game Explanation. Standard blackened and spotless rules, the game ends with one survivor. BDA plays when 3 innocents see the body. Motives and cameras exist. This is the sixth installment of the killing game.
That’s kind of a shockingly low amount of rules… Maybe there will be more in a bit hold on.
“But then, what’s my play from here? Do I sacrifice all of these people just to let myself go? Do I try to outlive everyone, to be the last person left standing? There’s no way in hell I’ll just allow myself to become some random victim, a casualty of someone else’s scheme. Or, is there some way to rebel against the system altogether…?
Ellis: … So, is there some kinda prize for winning? Other than our escape, I mean.
Antonia: There must be. If it’s a “game,” there has to be an incentive to win.”
Bro??? Ellis immediately starts considering murder holy shit. And Antonia continues to match her rythm, damn. I was already loving how different Ellis was from other protags so far, but this is making me like them more and more. You know, the usual "the worse and more morally questionable a character becomes the more I'll like them" deal. I’d comment about how my tastes are concerning but I feel like that’s been established on this account lol.
Holy shit we actually have a full e-handbook that’s awesome. I love it I love it I love it- I’ll check it out after finishing the prologue.
I lied I wanted to look at the rules. Most of them are pretty standard, but I wanted to point out a few that interested me.
4: “If the blackened receives at least the plurality of votes, they alone will be executed.” I just like that they used the word “plurality” :)
7: “The blackened may only kill a maximum of two people during any single killing game.” I’m interested in the wording of “any single killing game.” Has someone here participated in more than one killing game? Is there a plan for these people to participate in more than one? I'm looking at Mark, who might be in a bit of a Rantaro situation, but I kinda doubt venus would repeat that plot point lol.
8:”If two victims are killed by two different killers in the same Trial, only the killer whose victim’s body is discovered first is the blackened.” V3 rules if I recall correctly, wonder if it will actually come into effect here.
13: “The destruction and/or theft of another player’s e-Handbook is against the rules.” No theft is actually quite notable.
Additionally, I’m seeing a few interesting things in the “Preferences” section. The fact that you can apparently give other people permission to open your dorm room seems like it could be important, and the chatroom intrigues me quite a bit. The character profiles are also cool to see. I don’t see any immediately obviously important birthday dates, but I’ll note the likes and dislikes. I also see that everyone has a set of six die faces on the top right, except Ellis. I’m assuming that everyone has five free time events (since they start at 1 lit up) and those die are a way of keeping track of how many got done.
Anyways back to the prologue.
“Robert: Well… that just happened.” Of course. Of course he says that xD
And everyone’s immediately fighting I love it lol. I like the plurality (heh) of approaches here: Kennedy wants the truth, Aidan wants to ignore everything, Grace’s thinking in the police, and Vanessa helps Taylor express the whole “let’s chill for the night and meet for breakfast” idea.
I love the ending introspective segment for Ellis. Just really awesome stuff overall, and seeing a protagonist that, from the very start, is planning not to get attached to anyone and survive on their own in some way. We know that’s probably not gonna last in the slightest, but it’s still a really cool mindset to explore from a protag’s perspective.
Overall, as expected, nothing but absolute peak.
Notes we have so far:

Customer Service Desk
Monoquin's Hands
Killing Game Explanation
(In case it isn't clear, since I'm writing down my reactions, I always have the list of notes under what I'm currently writing in case I need them lol)
-
I can’t believe this is out, it’s so exciting!!! I love this so far. All the characters seem super Silly, which I always love to see. The protagonist is cool and interesting, the format is very fun, the talents are very exciting, the writing in general is immaculate… I can’t wait for more! If I have time, I might write something a bit more in-depth, or I might wait until we have more content before really going insane (<- I say as if I'm not already insane over this lol). In any case, thanks for reading, bye!

grogu sequel au notes
the trilogy team is grogu, ragnar, and mirta crammed in the Falcon (they stole it) (han and chewie are very much alive and chasing them) with ig-11 (memory circuit installed in ig-88's body) and r5-d4
the only way grogu managed to get an all-mandalorian trilogy team together was shared vengeance for the night of a thousand tears. they bond eventually though
Countess Sabine is the wise older mentor, as the previous generation's sort-of-jedi mandalorian and rebellion leader
Ragnar is his Ten Years Older Friend
at age 75 (equivalent to human 18ish) grogu goes back to luke to finish his training, dagobah-style
two days after he passes his knighthood trial, Padawan Ben Solo goes on a rampage
random detail: grogu calls him Benny in the force specifically to annoy him (his real name is bail or something idk. ben is a nickname derived from 'Young Ben' that leia uses when he is being particularly insufferable)
the new temple burning triggers grogu's o66 trauma
Grogu also has a noted tendency to respond with Force Choking The Threat when he is in danger
this results in him fighting kylo, force choking him and slamming him into a wall old republic battlemaster style
luke is now guilty because one of his students went sith and another one had to kill the sith (because his reaction was freeze/shock while grogu's was Fight Everything In Range)
luke runs away as canon
grogu then goes home to consult Dad (not great advice for jedi stuff, but tries), Uncle Boba (worse advice), and Auntie Bo (even worse advice somehow)
boba hears that Padawan Benny, who tried to kill grogu, is han solo's kid
Krayts Claw promptly puts a massive bounty on han (were you not watching your child??)
grogu decides he is responsible for dealing with the sith this time around and assembles his Trilogy Team.
(they eventually steal the falcon) (han chases them) (half the galaxys bounty hunters chase han) (much chaos ensues)
he then drops by boba's tattooine crimelord armory to stock up on grenades and picks up a new buddy Mirta Gev (who in this au has resolved her issues a bit earlier due to boba having a known base of power)
kylo is dead. all rise for Lady Ren, later Darth Ren, aka Rey Kenobi-Kryze (she's the granddaughter of obi wan's brother and satine's second sister) who was found by the Knights of Ren
the Knights of Ren are the remnant of the Revanites
grogu au Knights actually live up to their legendary reputation
they're also a bit better trained in a combo of light & dark side techniques, though they are decidedly dark jedi/darksiders
they've largely diverged from the original Revanchist philosophy, and follow something more akin to what was scraped out of holocrons of Revan's later teachings
instead of anakin's lightsaber, Revanite Rey inherits revan's mask, which she dons as Darth Ren in her quest (independent of the First Order) to put an end to a weak New Republic that leaves its citizens vulnerable while the politicians squabble, maintaining neither freedom nor security while syndicates and imperial holdouts conquer the outer rim and ignoring the advice of the actual rebels
its widely debated whether 'ren' is a corruption of revan, or if ren is an alternate/original name for revan
krayts claw is a bounty hunter syndicate/union basically acting as an alternative to the bounty guild, with an incidental side of local government and a dash of organized crime
they primarily work for the local hutts
boba has single handedly fixed both the issues of Declining Mandalorian Population and Sad Desert Orphan Children by sending the apparently-abundant tatooine future main characters to din's friends on mandalore
the hutts/krayts claw waging war on the pykes ended up eventually eliminating them
the razzi syndicate filled the power vacuum in the spice trade
black sun amassed a concerning amount of political power in the NR
red key eventually was driven off tatooine (and most of the outer rim) after having tried to ransom borgo the huttlet (grogu au rottas cousin/jabbas nibling)
rotta ended up working with the twins and borgo
he is still stinky
the rancor is an adult and absolutely massive (they expanded the rancor pit to fit it properly)
boba is fully retired from hunting (because he's like 70)
fennec is also retired for the same reasons
krrsantan is not retired
bossk is stubborn (he refuses to either stop hunting or get cybernetic augments despite being the trandoshan equivalent of a 90 yr old. the rest of the crew spends a great deal of time bailing him out of ill advised hunts)
embo is happily retired on felucia and the only one no longer involved with crime of any kind (he took his full pardon in great stride)
latts is retired from hunting
highsinger is still actively hunting (perks of being an already-ancient droid) and works mostly exclusively for the claw
still nobody knows what language highsinger speaks
aurra is very dead
dengar is heavily cybernetic and still refusing to retire
han spends most of the trilogy being chased by claw affiliated hunters
bobas palace has a full complement of bacta tanks because claw leadership consists of a whole lot of very old beat up hunters
tatooine has emerged a prime contender in the development of outer rim cybernetic surgery
this is partially due to the mod subculture and partially due to the claw's presence meaning a lot of partially-to-mostly-cybernetic hunters hang around mos espa
they also now have proper surgeons
the guavian death gang is a splinter group of the maul-era crimson dawn, led by The Jedi Killer
(boba takes offense because that's his dad's title)
The Jedi Killer is an ex-inquisitor who ended up working for maul
grogu uses the force to hold his lightsabers because he is very small
between three to four (if they bring sabine) fully armored mandos and two droids rattling around in the cockpit, the slightest hint of turbulence produces a veritable tin-can cacophony
the Helmet Rule for grogu and ragnar combined with the falcon's living areas means everyone eats with a bag over their heads
ragnar has a tendency to get eaten/attempted to be eaten by large creatures
at the beginning of their journey they took a detour and picked up the three dino-birds
they all ride a now-fully-grown dino bird
the falcon was not meant to transport three full sized dino birds
while attempting to find somewhere to put the dino birds they discovered some other large creature (perhaps a young gundark or two?) that somehow got in
they may have blown up parts of the falcon while getting rid of the things
they also may have picked up a gizka infestation
grogu eats gizkas so it's just free food at that point
han and chewie are going to be furious
however han is currently busy getting chased by highsinger
also what did he do to have tasu leech personally hunting him???
a week or so into their journey the falcon is now home to three mandos, two droids, three full sized dino birds, zero gundarks, and approximately a hundred vent gizkas
while they wander around looking for sith they hear about the Resistance
they take a detour to check on them
while detouring, han catches up
while detouring, highsinger also catches up
ig was also left to guard the ship
han nearly explodes when he sees them open the door and at least twelve gizka spill out
the maintenance crew is now attempting to catch all the gizka
grogu wanders in and force projects to leia to try to figure out what's going on
nobody is particularly inclined to give the resistance secrets to the strange small mando who stole the falcon (he didn't know it was *the* falcon!)
someone almost gets shot
highsinger really wants to do his spin attack
grogu has to explain that hes lukes only surviving non-sith student and is attempting to help with the situation
leia explains that luke is missing and theyre looking for the star map, but the guy who was supposed to retrieve it hasn't returned
grogu asks if anyones tried meditating in luke's direction
nobody has
han and leia have their dramatic reunion while getting shot at by highsinger
grogu sits down (and force shields himself) and promptly does his LUKE PLEASE HELP ME force-call
he has located luke
tasu shows up to catch han
a few hunters hired by the razzi syndicate are also there
some of hondos pirates also arrive
and then the guavians show up
guavians are revealed as sith/first order-affiliated when they try to kill grogu in the ensuing standoff
everyone then turns on the guavians
the pirates try to grab han in the meantime and get killed
everyone left then has a very tense discussion on the nature of The Jedi Killer
grogu escapes to go find luke
the new republic never demilitarized for obvious reasons, but their fleet was decimated by the recent war with thrawn (peridean war? dathomirian war? idk)
the first order conquest capitalized on the lack of NR presence in the outer rim post-thrawn
the resistance is a collection of rebellion veterans and ex separatists stuck in the middle of first order space
there's a lot of internal conflict between the resistance and the NR over the NR politicians being generally useless (like hera's whole rogue two arc in ahsoka)
the NR refuses to back the resistance after they went rogue under the leadership of ex-chancellor mothma and senator organa
instead the resistance is funded by senators from serenno, raxus, and onderon, plus baron calrissian of bespin and countess wren of krownest
a lot of ex-separatist planets feel that the NR's handling of the ex imperials and the NR politicians' uselessness led to the NR embodying only the worst traits of the republic
the resistance skews pretty heavily separatist bc the more moderate/post-Alliance republic systems tend to side w the NR
the resistance fleet is a hodgepodge of really old rebellion era fighters (x wings, a wings, and a couple b wings), separatist ships, and mon calamari ships (mostly the big capital ships)
the first order is a reunited collection of imperial remnant fragments
the NR is busy holding the Core from the hutt inheritance crises, the fallout of the black sun civil war, and the outer rim separatist resurgence
the first order is widely considered a minor issue that'll resolve itself through infighting over time, and therefore less of a priority than the black sun/falleen civil war and the hutt civil war
however there are rumors that the first order's Shadow Council has recently been united under an old sith leader
the NR's arrest of black sun underlord Princess Savan further destabilized black sun leadership
coupled with the destruction of house sizhran on falleen this led to a massive warring states-esque civil war among both legitimate government and black sun
this in turn led to a weaknesses in the outer rim that the first order managed to exploit
the hutt not-empire is also experiencing a succession crisis or four after vader killed the entire ruling council
now rotta is trying to take over and avenge his father
also kanjiklub under tasu leech is busy liberating nearby hutt colonial systems
both the black sun and the hutts are at all out civil war
grogu sees r2 in the corner and remembers r2 driving him to tatooine
grogu decides to take r2 with him to find luke
c3po reluctantly (actually he refused to leave r2 behind) joins
han and chewie agree to let grogu borrow the ship if they come along
they are quite appalled at the amount of amphibious/reptilian pests that get kept around for target practice (ig) and snacks (grogu)
at least ragnar and mirta kept the machinery and sleeping areas strictly gizka-free
they find luke very quickly
on the way there r2 boots up again when he realizes theyre on the falcon
ahch to is Sith Cave Island, featuring cortosis, elephant birds, and porgs
luke is there bc he found a hidden/secret jedi archive in one of the mountains
han, chewie, r2, c3po, and luke have an emotional reunion
grogu also gets an emotional reunion w his teacher
everyone else is just standing around awkwardly
luke then tells them that hes been studying a concerning disturbance in the force
luke is worried the sith are trying to return but he cant figure out who it is
han brings up the mysterious Jedi Killer behind the guavians
eventually han convinces luke to come back with them because he and leia (and everyone else) has forgiven him for the kylo disaster
it's not widely known that grogu was the one that killed him, just that kylo turned sith but didn't make it out of the temple due to a brave unidentified student
also they very much need luke
and leia wants to talk to him but she can't abandon the resistance
they bring luke back. the ship is very crowded now
also luke brought a bunch of holocrons and old jedi books with him
luke and leia have an emotional reunion
ragnar, grogu, and mirta set off to figure out what's going on with the unusual coordination of the imperial remnant recently
ahsoka, sabine, and ezra go to investigate the Jedi Killer
eventually they all discover a disturbance in some remote sith planets
ezra: hey kids if you find a red holocron do not open it :/
they also discover that the death of the baneite sith led to the proliferation of more fringe dark side orders like the Knights and the guavians
meanwhile the NR is focusing on protecting Core planets
leia and mothma are working on introducing NR reforms and officially monitoring the rogue-sith situation as well as the black sun and hutt wars
grogu discovers that the first order is based off a concerning number of sith planets
palpatine's consciousness is alive in the same way bane has his sith ghost. palpatine's body is very much not
palps needs more power (via a sith ritual maybe?) to possess any of the clones, because turns out they all have individual personalities
therefore he has Darth Ren as his fourth apprentice to revive him for promises of re establishing a strong Empire once again
Darth Ren agrees bc she just wants to eliminate the weakness of the NR - the replacement matters less as long as it's able to effectively govern (tyrannically or not)
to do that she ends up allying w the first order
palpatine is also busy influencing disgruntled NR politicians to exacerbate the internal conflict and cripple their ability to respond to external threats
the NR is slowly imploding on itself
turns out the Jedi Killer is working with the first order off ilum
in fact there is more than one ex-inquisitor who took the role of The Jedi Killer
grogu and co track the empire to starkiller and promptly realize this
starkiller base isn't a superweapon but rather a kyber mining facility
grogu can feel the disruption in the balance of the force from the razing of ilum
they break into the base to find/kill the Jedi Killer
it's an inquisitor
during the battle, one of the chattier minor inquisitors mentions that the sith eternal will return and that mandalore (as a neutral/non-NR affiliated system) should join them
theyre all like !!!
ragnar says something about how gideon's remnant failed and that mandalore will slay the sith
the new grand inquisitor is really good and they only escape because grogu managed to anger-induced force choke the inquisitor for long enough to get away
grogu then has a silent crisis that he cant let anger take over bc luke told him all the stories abt how vader happened
mirta decides they should probably take this info back to sundari + boba as well as resistance hq
they call din and ask him to relay the message that 'oops, there's another sith cult that's associated with the imperial remnant and they want mandalore to either join or die'
they call sabine to tell phoenix squadron 'so we found the jedi killer. theyre an inquisitor and they're working with the empire. also there are sith kids in this place?? and a kyber mining facility? please send help'
they escape just as the resistance arrives
mothma is busy calling the NR to inform them that actually they have a way bigger problem than the black sun war or the hutt war
Battle of Ilum happens
theres a massive realization that the rebellion/NR defeated the imperial leaders but never eliminated the ideology that led to the rise of the empire in the first place
poe is still doing his pilot stuff. he escapes with finn as canon
later, finn has a whole emotional speech to phasma/the other troopers in his unit and inspires a small scale stormtrooper rebellion
some of the ones that didnt leave w him right away spread the news to other troopers
possibly one of palps' clones escapes/goes rogue and joins the resistance?
meanwhile darth ren rediscovers the infinite engine/starforge fragments and brings it to exegol
also one quarter of maul is back (nightsister necromancy via the great mothers & thrawn's plot)(he really wants to kill palpatine)
palpatine never returns in anything more than a sith ghost. on the other hand, someone gets to say 'somehow maul returned'.
