WHO’S GONNA TELL RAGNAR WHAT HAPPENED

“Paz’buir! Din’buir!” Ragnar’s voice rises above the others as he shoves bodily through the crowd, awkwardly carrying his new brother under the arms. He’s breathing hard but there’s a proud set to his posture as he pushes through the crowd. Everyone places themselves in just the right position to be shoved aside, jostling him in return as they include him in the pack bonding.

There is nothing so precious as a pup mimicking what they see around them in order to seem more grown up. Indulging foundlings as they grow into adulthood is one of life’s purest joys.

Ragnar finally plants himself in front of them, still clinging tight to Grogu. “Paz’buir! You’re late. Grog’ika was starting to worry you’d been eaten by bone gnashers.”

Behind him, a silent ripple of amusement rolls through the covert. Paz will most certainly be receiving all manner of bawdy congratulations once he’s alone.

“Grogu shouldn’t worry. Bone gnashers aren’t found in this system.” Din doesn’t seem to notice the amusement either, kneeling to examine the boys. He traces one knuckle first across Grogu’s cheek and then along the edge of Ragnar’s visor. “Thank you for watching him.”

“No debt.” Ragnar bounces a little so he can secure his grip on the other foundling. He makes no move to hand Grogu over to Din, instead turning to indicate they should follow him. “Grog’ika is my kih’vod so it’s my job to watch over his steps until they are steady along his path, but we really gotta get him some food ‘cause right now his path is straight to a snitmice nest.”

Rewatching The Mandalorian S3 and oh my god, Axe and Paz have so many fantastic little moments??

1. The eye contact when the Mandalorian fleet first touches down on Nevarro

2. The way Paz instantly volunteers to scout Mandalore’s surface after Axe does

3. Their exchange on the drop-ship

4. The little nod during the perimeter sweep

5. The fight

6. How they get Grogu out of danger together

7. Axe monologuing about the Great Forge and Paz asking follow-up questions

8. The way Paz not only believes that Axe is their best chance at getting word to the fleet but also notices the gap in the ceiling and lays down cover for him

9. Axe standing next to Ragnar when Bo-Katan re-lights the Great Forge
