New studios *releases a new game but because they are still small and don't have a lot of experience yet but had no choice but release now or never since little studios don't get as much patience as big ones from execs and audience alike it's a little buggy and unfinished but still fairly playable with lots of potential and originality in its concept*

When the crew asked Dot to do job ads for them and she replied with "sounds like a pain" I was fascinated.

Most of Dot's characterization these past few episodes was doing things for others without being asked, and then downplaying her work when they complimented her on it. So when she hesitated to do the little job ads for the crew, my first instinct was "She Would Not Freaking Say That", but then I mulled it over and... I actually really like that choice.

Dot is a very nuanced character, full of subtleties. She's not exactly averse to new experiences, but she is very selective with what she's willing to go along with. She likes doing favors for others but only on her own terms. She has an interest in learning about pokemon training, but only recently had the motivation to become a trainer herself. In fact, she only seems to do things when she feels especially motivated. She's hard on herself, alarmingly so at times (namely when Spinel messes with the Volt Tacklers and she falls for it), and from what I can see she thinks very lowly of herself, which, along with Murdock's general attitude toward her (simultaneously overprotective and hands-off in a desperate attempt to see her come out of her shell) is why I headcanon her to have clinical depression.

So maybe she was having a bad brain day, or managing expectations. Or maybe she just hates doing graphic design for ads lmao

thats the thing they really dont make games like they used to. not because bad/unethical game design decisions are anything new but because modern gaming i feel is really formulaic. they find something that Works and you'll be seeing it for the next decade. like even big companies back in the 90s werent afraid to try new things or innovate, when now they're scared of entire genres. racing games are pretty much just forza, gran turismo, and whatever indie games you can find like aero GPX. and forget weirder stuff like racing lagoon (a genuinely good racer that mixes rpg elements and a heavy story very intuitively).

what im saying is a lot of classic (or hidden gem) games were products of their time, and i really do think we lost something. even with indie devs the same trends happen. i mean every other game for the past few years is a deck builder of some description regardless if it actually serves the other mechanics or not. maybe its just nostalgia for a time i didnt live through but i really wish the gaming industry was different.

okay my mom did read to me growing up but it was never kids books like harry potter bcuz she already read those to my sister. she would EXCLUSIVELY read me adult fiction books that she was already reading herself that were about really adult/political topics and i cant even be mad bcuz admittedly they were really good books. but i was like 10 why were u reading me a book thats about indian political activism in the 70s...... and second of all why was i definitely into it

Genuinely can’t tell if I’m being a bit delusional with my dreams or if not 😅 I soooooo badly want to quit my job before the summer but I feel like I need to have everything Ready and be Making Money before I justify quitting - I’m just so worried I will pour all this time and effort and energy in and have it flop 🥲

I am so tired of kids being shoved into my advanced classes that A) have no desire to be there or attempt the work B) do not have the SKILLS to be there and only passed the first level out of the kindness of my heart/modified curriculum C) have genuinely difficult personalities.

And just being told "there's nowhere else for them to go."

I haven't had a break from this prickly Mansplainer kid with Problems since last year. Guidance, you are killing me and what my program could be.

Been testing out other body mods for some of my ocs, Ell I’ve been testing Kniku and YAB (still playing around with both to see which I like better for her), thinking of trying bimbo or lava bod for Belle, and I’m thinking of trying Rue with Zee and a few other ocs (and it adds motivation for me to learn porting to other body types)~ when i first started playin around with ffcrimes doing something like this was wayyyyy to intimidating to attempt (especially with how attempting eye mods went so horribly I am dreading attempting to make my own for my Azem and for Zee) but finally getting the confidence to make everyone more to the body I see them with vs the body the basic bibo mod allows for~
