Okay no but seriously, that’s one of the reasons I love Henry. He’s been through a lot…and he’s been alone for so much of his life. He could easily become cynical and lose sight of humanity, and in a sense maybe he has a few times (and he tends to put up walls around his life, but part of that is for preservation/protection).

BUT, Henry cares, he cares so much. Like, there will be a person he knows nothing about, but they died and he is insistent that they were still a person with a name, not just a dead junkie. Or someone could literally ruin his life but he saves their life because it’s the right thing to do. It’s hardwired into him to care and save people, it’s just part of who he is and no matter how much he keeps his walls up, that care always shows up. He does everything he can to save people. He has such a soft and kind heart, and it just gives me emotions…

Not to mention his emotional maturity and care. Like, he can read people, understand them, and he genuinely tries to help (or does something to kind of make them show their true colors lol). But he knows how to respect people and step back while also being like “but I am here if you need to talk”…yes I’m thinking about him and Jo but anyways I just have a lot of emotions about this guy okay? 😭
