It's Halloween, and the Trojans are determined to enjoy the holiday to the fullest.

Jean tries to escape when he sees Laila showing up in tons of costumes for tonight's party, but Cat immediately stops him saying; "If I fall, so do you." Apparently, Laila is a big costume enthusiast and always drags everyone into her madness.

They spend the afternoon trying on clothes. Jean discover the strategy too late. Laila has made him participate in the scantily clad model show to destabilize him, and thus get him to try on her costume at the end.

Jean tries to excuse himself. He says he is part of a religion from ancient France that prevents him from dressing up because it is a sin. Laila asks what religion. Jean, who is very confused (the girls keep asking him to help them unzip zippers while they replace the padding in their bra), says that he is from the French Inquisition.

Laila and Cat try not to laugh. Jean warns them that in France they bring out the guillotine on Halloween to cut off the heads of smart Americans like them, but that does not deter Laila. Jean insists, sullenly. He doesn't plan to dress with little clothes like them. That's shameless.

"What if I tell you that your costume is that of a very elegant and modest European gentleman? I promise you that you won't show a bit of skin."

Jean raises an eyebrow, grumbling. Afterwards, Laila puts on some stockings and begins to pull them up her thigh. Jean is aware that he has lost.

When Jeremy arrives home later and Mr. Darcy greets him with a French accent... Jeremy throws himself down the stairs.

there's a special place reserved in hell for whoever came up with the idea that tv-show episodes should be 40-70 minutes long and there should be only like 8-10 episodes per season, released all at once instead of the 00's 20-30 minute long episodes with 20-22 episodes per season released weekly.

(dont even get me started on the two part bullshit netflix has been doing lately. or the canecling before the storyline is done (lookin at you s&b, lockwood&co and julie&the phantoms)

Happy 10th anniversary to the GSNK anime!

10 years ago in Japan, the GSNK anime made by Doga Kobo started airing as part of the Summer 2014 season! It was through this adaptation that fans fell in love with the idiotic shenanigans charms of Nozaki&co, and many went on to read the manga to see more of our gang tackling shoujo manga tropes.

The anime adapted Chapters 1-48 of the manga, albeit sadly with a lot of skipped/shortened content (and interesting... changes). However, the adaptation really brought the series to life thanks to the stellar Japanese voice cast, A+ soundtrack, and the animators elevating some scenes with some added wackiness (those two panels of Hori finding himself piggybacked by bull!Kashima, expanded to 40 seconds of the most hilarious riding(?) sequence ever? iconic).

The anime has 12 episodes (plus 6 special mini episodes) and can be currently streamed legally on HIDIVE amongst other sources (depending on your region). It's been dubbed in a few languages, including an English dub by Sentai Filmworks.
