for 3852 in the pattern, i actually used some of my light effects threads, E3852, for that sparkly feel. i couldn't find a reliable source on what the closest non-light effect equivalent is, and flosscross wouldn't let me put in light effects, so i just left it as 3852.

i stitched this with 10 count aida and 4 strands. if you want to make this on a sweatshirt, make your own measurements accordingly & make sure it fits and has good coverage.

i stitched this similarly to the original sweatshirt in that the navy background fills in the dark areas on the design itself (like maya and nick’s hair and nick’s suit) so you don’t have to stitch them. if you want a lighter color sweatshirt, keep this in mind & modify the design accordingly

i played with the colors a bit from the original design (fun fact edgeworth’s suit is the closest dmc thread color i could find to b00b69, and maya’s outfit is also modified from a funny hex code but i don’t remember which one). if you want to make changes, you can go to flosscross.com, import the fcjson file in the google drive folder, and make whatever modifications you want <3

please do not sell this pattern for money or put it on mass-produced merch as the design is not originally mine or acerunaway’s! on that note i encourage you to support the original artist nina matsumoto/space coyote; she has a ton of cool video game merch (including ace attorney) available through fangamer. i myself have the ace attorney desk mat on my desk at work and have gotten a lot of compliments on it from my coworkers

Wanted to talk more about the genderswap

The thing I kinda noticed in the game (dunno if it was intentional or not)

That the princess is mostly always strong/in control

This may be just because we, as a player, always have a lingering suspicion of who the princess is (stranger danger ya know)

But like: razor, nightmare, adversary, tower, beast - we are completely dominated by our princes girlboss

In other routes the princess is not defenceless either

The only exception is damsel, which just loves you so much, she allows you to stab her (and even this played of as a joke)

The thing I’m getting at

Princess is a girlboss 👸

I like it a lot

And if we change the genders

Um.. erm..

It is a powerful man, which is kinda unsettling ???

It could just be totally me viewing it this way, again just my thoughts

But I just don’t like the idea of this gender change in this particular case

Because imagine for example nightmare route

(dialogue completely unchanged)

But it’s a female birb being killed and kinda bullied by a masked man

Beast route, voice of the Hunted, but it’s a scared female lead trying to not get devoured by a scary man in the shadows

To be fair the initial game routes are really tense, stressful and dark already

And under no circumstances am I saying that men are not subjected to abuse, absolutely not, abuse has no gender

Just wanted to say that for me personally doing the classic genderswap kinda makes the game a bit too dark (just because women abuse/harassment is more common)

So making them toxic yuri and toxic yaoi fits for me 😈

For the ppl reading hope all of that made sense 💥

I’m usually nervous to write my thoughts on complex topics like that, because ppl could misinterpret my words (or I can describe my thoughts not coherently enough so it gets misinterpreted)

Every time i see Dazai looking at Chuuya in corruption he does some gay sht like have you seen how he stares at Chuuya in chapter 31. This man is so down bad. He's holding a knife to John's throat but is still looking at Chuuya with some stupid puppy eyes. I hate him sm. Cried. Threw up.

If we see corruption in manga again, all i ask for is more of this typa Dazai, please Asagiri,, please Harukawa

Hello! I have a question, in your last ask what did you mean that they don't actually get romantically involved? As in they don't make anything "official"? I loved the comic so much and I can't wait to see more!!! 💜

I meant that I’m not planning on making them get together as a couple- I love them as a ship but I want to use this to explore their platonic relationship together. Like Jarthur but waaayyy less codependent, more so realizing there’s people out there who actually do care about you unconditionally and want what’s best for you.
