the differences between aabria, matt, and brennan in their approach to letting their players interact with their worlds have been haunting me

because matt and brennan will create a world that is so rich and vibrant, with lush descriptions and magical world building that makes it seem so lived in and of course people are there even though they don’t take the time to describe them

but aabria makes her games filed with people, with so many varying personalities that make it seem so so so real that they instead populate the landscape. which is then reinforcing everything the NPCs are doing in her games. there are people first and then the world which revolves around them. it’s why when her NPCs have actual reactions to the players (Wuvvy in ACOFAF, Teedles/Oliver at the beginning of Burrow’s End and Sybil discovering the secrets with them, even Boudicca at the end of MisMag s1), it makes everything so much more fucking compelling

Regarding this, them saying in their song that they're family in such an implied way also makes me think how Otome said that the division with the strongest bond will have their chance to win, and how even bat's album cover confirms how their paths will forever meet to a bond, completing eachother
