If anyone remembers my idea for a life series twist from... a while ago. I'm thinking about it again. It would be such a fun concept.

[muttering to myself] maybe i just haven't been watching etho enough recently? but i feel like usually when he's joking, he makes it more obvious than that -- there's a tone he takes that's really obvious, or he breaks at the slightest pushing and goes "nah i'm kidding" like right away. and there is a degree to which he is being sarcastic when he's being all sweet. notes:

tango dies trying to collect spruce leaves for the team to eat, because they heard that was Good Food for a little bit. etho rows over to spawn island to see him and assures him, "these are going to be the greatest spruce leaves ever, tango." tango calls him a jerk for it -- he has clearly caught onto the sarcasm, even if etho is not really showing it in his tone.

gem gives etho a flower and he starts talking about how it's beautiful and great and he's going to protect it from anything bad ever happening to it, and bdubs says to him, "you're laughing because you know how this series goes [...] if you put value on anything, it's over!"

like it's a joke, right? that he's too nice and here he is playing naive and sweet?

gem saying, "if you wanna be friends with us, you can have a cow," and etho replying, "i would love to be friends with you guys, are you kidding me?"

every interaction with gem and joel after that, he insists on referring to them as family, because joel does

scar saying, "eat the grass, cleo, eat the grass!" and etho chiming in with great offense, "she's not a cow..."

comes back to home base from stealing cleo and scott's copper and says he feels so bad about it. "it is really tough to steal from people. [...] i don't know how people do it."

but it's also. there is a way it's pure distilled essence of etho, right? insisting on being "tough guys" this time around and then instantly taking it back. pretending he isn't going to commit to something only to commit to it way too hard

his episode opens with bdubs saying one of them needs to be the leader to make this alliance work because it will fall apart otherwise and he teases bdubs about, 'oh you're just looking to set things up so you can leave whenever you want' but soon after, he's the one insisting they have to be tough, they can't be nice or they'll get walked over, and he keeps repeating that for the rest of his episode

he joins in on the Bullying Bdubs For Talking About The Golden Ratio, but still ultimately asks bdubs how and where he should build, and when bdubs says 'copper' as a joke, etho just does it. he spends the rest of the episode looking/asking for copper to make his tower

there's a way that making the joke lets him have the thing, right? like. first the joke is him saying they're doomed because all of them suck as leaders. then the joke is him saying they have to be tough -- they can't even pick a leader? and then the joke is that he's nice, he's too sincere and trusting and sweet for his own good, and if that's the joke and that stays the joke, then he's allowed to keep telling it, he's allowed to keep playing it that way. he doesn't have to decide when is worst to cut his losses -- he can play the fool for now and later when betrayal comes, well, fine. they were always supposed to be tough guys.

This whole stream was delightful. What a way to return 🤗

Tango was so happy energetic.

And from Tango calling Etho's storage system cute and Etho in gamechat going "CUTE?!" (00:41:07). To the razzing (and laughing) over shops (00:49:00 and 01:03:49). Etho taking Tango's head twice, and it all being so playful (00:58:11). Etho using Tango's catchphrases 🥹🥹🥹 It gets me every time! "porkchop power" "flee with extra flee!" And the way he said it was the cutest, and Tango's giggle about it too (01:00:59). Etho offering to give the tour Tango wanted. More mail talk and laughing guilt and planning and razzing and teaching Etho to do the stamps. Tango complimenting the path (and that Etho showed it to him when he first came back when Etho came to say hi) (01:15:41). They still plan on doing their sand-collection-off (01:35:06).

And of course the whole TNTificating with Etho's new "boom boom tech" (01:39:43--02:15:17) was just…the most fun. They are having the most fun together...it's an absolute joy. (And it's also them collaborating on how to figure out a redstone thing together which is just so satisfying.) Just...TOO MANY (!!!) (so many) fun moments in that whole TNT section that I can't even start on highlighting them all 😭 I'd need another mammoth paragraph...

Fandom: Oh... yeah sorry no... not you. We actually meant writers that are already well known and popular to produce MORE content... I mean, if a popular blog shares your work then maybe. And we don’t really like pen to paper art. We just don’t think it’s professional or even looks good :/
