Kim rok soo gives up everything he thinks he doesn't need if the situation calls for it

I'm currently re-reading the god of despair arc and his conversation with jang man soo caught my attention

Krs slept in the corner of the shelter where rain kept leaking in, at first i thought it was because park jin tae absolutely hated him but then jang man soo says "you chose that spot."

And it just kinda clicked that he doesn't consider anything besides the basic things to stay alive as a necessity

He thinks any sort of comfort is a luxury

He wants it, but he doesn't exactly need it

And doesn't mind giving it up if someone else needs it more

I feel like he sleeps in the corner on purpose because jang man soo is already clearly suicidal and krs doesn't want him to actually keel over from getting sick because of the leak, he knows jang man soo wouldn't complain about his illness until it was too late. He's old and his body is weak, idk if he'd survive being sick during the literal apocalypse. krs doesn't joke around with anybodies life

I also think he easily chose the spot with the leak because (this is my headcanon at least) he doesn't really feel temperature. I feel like krs was affected more by the white stars curse than he admits, sure he had some sense of taste and feel but his senses were probably dulled to the point he could easily ignore the discomfort

So whatever doesn't kill him, he can deal with it

He grew up like that anyway

He's used to being deprived of comfort, it's natural for him to be uncomfortable even if he complains and says he doesn't like it

What other people consider suffering is just an inconvenience for him

He's never had anything to take for granted ever since he was a kid

Reality absolutely crushed his standards of living ever since his parents died and we see that through everything he does

He doesn't falter at being overworked and underfed, that has been his natural state for 15-16 years now

In fact, transmigrating as cale henituse is more of a vacation to him than anything

Everyone thinks he's suffering but he just considers it as "working hard", it's was his job to starve while keeping his people fed when he was the team leader, because there was never enough to go around at first.

Once Korea was restored to some extent and scarcity was less of an issue due to ability users who had crop related abilities or something of the sort, he let himself indulge in the luxury of eating more often. It wasn't a big change, but still.

My heart breaks every time i think about the fact when he had his first meal as cale henituse, it was the most he had eaten in one sitting in 15-16 years. He usually doesn't comment on things but he was so insistent on the fact that beacroxs' cooking was good despite being absolutely terrified of the guy says a lot.

disability in blade is rlly interesting. i rlly wanted them to push more with tachibana and his body/spirit deterioration though i do like it where it ended.. it has a really unique dressing for discussing both mental and physical disability and how he was in desperation over not being able to do his job and i love that he actually retired for a while. he is my chronic pain king to me. everyone had their body betray themselves in blade but tachibana’s is the most, not human but fallible out of them leading to his dependencies on the vat and higher ups. he also doesnt have anyone he can truly decompress around until late into the show bc he’s very in his own head about being dependable for the rest of the cast. dude is cooking himself he finally relaxed and started hanging out with the farmhouse trio and i won. chronic pain is so personal but i like to think that his is influenced a lot by stress and weather and he finally realized that

I miss the time before I was online. I'm so tired. The lemon teas were meant as a way to tease og!cale and krs!cale at first. Since ron thought it was funny that the "disrespectful young master" would obediently drink his least favourite tea as long as ron was the one serving it.

And it's a stretch to say ron loved og!cale, but he saw og!cale grieve his mother and comfort his father. He was able to empathize because his own wife and sons mother had died before they ran to the henituse county. The book was inaccurate in a lot of the familial descriptions, ron cared for cale even if he didn't prioritize him over his own life and went on to travel with choi han because of arms reappearance

However after krs!cale literally saved the world and gave the molans a chance to rebuild their life, their relationship changed as well.

Now ron uses the lemon tea to scold cale more than to tease him. The assassin doesn't show it but he genuinely cares about krs!cale, he himself said that the molans repay their debts a hundred fold, and wants what's best for him.

Seeing krs sacrifice his health over and over again for this war is stressful for any caretaker to watch, ron uses the lemon tea as a way to keep cale in check and to make sure he's mentally still okay.

If krs suddenly changed the way he views lemon tea, it would be a cause of concern for ron, and an easy sign that something isn't right with krs!cale.

Having something routine with the people you care about is a very easy and simple way to connect with them when they aren't the talkative type

cale henituse is a depressed bastard (we kind of been knew) am currently rereading the novel, so this time I noticed a tea symbolism, where the after the first time ron gave cale lemon tea and he drank it life's kind been giving cale lemons ever since. so of course it got me thinking more about the relationship between cale and ron and find that it would be interesting to study.

what kim rok soo observed of the relationship between og!cale and him was that ron didn’t have any particular like for cale, so could he as cale also operate under that or..?

First mention of Dawnbreaker and also where we get the info of Zayne's Nightmare into Dawnbreaker's world.

Zayne mentions the nightmares again and talks about how his current reality is more bloody than his nightmares (Dawn Breaker World)

We get Dr.Zayne's perspective as he is "in that world of ice and snow" Zayne attacks himself from his perspective with dark crystals (which we know from The third ancedote is the color of Dawnbreaker's ice

Dr.Zayne refers to this black coated version of him as the Grim Reaper.

Zayne almost accidentally killed someone important to him when he was 12. He was 12 when he first started getting dreams of Dawnbreaker

Crystals begin to grow off of William (though, they mention the color of said crystals being black, they dont mention if they're ice)

Future edit: 1/25/25: Infold has made it very clear recently between the difference between the dark ice of Dawnbreaker and the black crystals that seems to involve humans turning into wanderers. Zayne now in the most recent main story with Caleb has made it clear that the crystals on Kevi was the ones that were on William!!!

Georgie's first description of Dawnbreaker Zayne is that of a Grim Reaper (hence the connection to all mentions of him in Never Ending Winter)

There is footage of Dawnbreaker killing these people, so it isn't speculation

Detective Ivan, the police working on the Dawnbreaker case, gives distrubing insight into the situation, giving his point of view that the people who Dawnbreaker is killing leave behind shards like Wanderer protocores

When he catches Dawnbreaker in the act, he finds the victim with tentacles and attacking Dawnbreaker.

Georgie's mother was a worker at an ungergound protocore factory

Zayne, after running out of chocolate, takes some from Georgie, and so begins the Georige & Zayne duo.

Detective Ivan gives us the run down that the government and those in power are hiding the fact that some of those wanderers were once human. He also intends to stop and destory the investigation against Dawnbreaker, likely so Zayne can continue doing his job.

Zayne abruptly wakes up. A gray wall stares back at him. The alarm resounds, and the holographic screen starts flickering red again.

Zayne takes a deep breath. What did that dream mean?

How did the girl see him? It’s as if she saw through time and space, through his dreams, to realize he’s not the doctor.

Dr. Zayne, our Zayne and DB Zayne or DB is Dawnbreaker

This first main story lore that connects our Zayne with Dawnbreaker. Everything else has come from the anecdotes or something extremely similar

Prologue

It's been two months since the N109 Zone

Once again modified protocores & Aether cores are making amouck

Specifically the type of Wanderer with a Beta Protocurve can distort time and space. That new aether cores may appear where these Wanderers do

We start off in Zayne's POV it refers to us as "The Girl" which makes me believe based off last experiences that this is Dawnbreaker

Black Crystals (Like we have seen regarding wanderers) spring out of the walls and move towards us.

It mentions a time distort which reminds me of those Wanderers mentioned earlier.

It then cuts to our Zayne. He had been sleeping. At the Asko Rehabilitation Center in a Sleeping Pod. He had a nightmare.

Zayne has been having nightmares since his visit to Mt. Eternal.

It's been two months and he hasn't been able to sleep at all.

He doesn't tell us what happened in the Artic only that he is having a rerecurring nightmare

MC mentions that Zayne has a business trip next week and that she is concerned for his health

Zayne tries to say something about how even if he collapses they're other doctors but MC isn't hearing it calling him "My Doctor" 💙

Dr. Zayne tells us he will be careful and stay alive

We tell him our concerns about who we think the fragment we gave him after the N109 zone is the cause of his nightmares.

He tries to tell us it's a coincidence but I'm not so sure about that. Zayne has had these nightmares since he was 12 yes but they're has been no indication they occur so often until now. I think the protocore fragment is doing something.

We also learn, relearn? That Zayne is studying the fragment and it's possible relation with Protocore Syndrome.

We learn about the Wanderer and the Protocore we are hunting

It moves through distorting space. Anywhere it appears those with Protocore Syndrome fall into comas and some even shock

The location is Chansia City. Which we then find out is where Zayne is going for his business trip!!!

We ask to join the medical team and it's Approved.

As we leave the building to meet Zayne, someone gets in our way. (It's Carter 🤢)

He tries to invite us to dinner which fucking EW. (If it was clear at this point that while I keep the lore/plot accurate I'm not afraid to put my own opinion on these. Now it is)

Zayne comes out and saves us and we get to see the Carter and Zayne beef live

Carter tried to invite all three of us to dinner but MC swiftly declines saying that the association forbids its hunters from accepting dinner for work related purposes (idk if that's true or not)

Carter is trying very hard to give us these flowers (I'm like 98% sure he did shit to them) but Zayne snatches them before we can decline and THEN GIVES THEM BACK TO CARTER(My God I love this man)

This line is EVERYTHING oml

Carter apparently came to give us a warning about being careful when we are traveling which is SO fucking weird. How did he know we were traveling YALL.

Once we are in the car we try and get more information on Carter and Xander Sciences from Zayne

It flashes back to one of Zayne's earlier chapters regarding that rich person with Rafayel's art that sucked people into it. How Xander Sciences has been trying to get Zayne to join them

Zayne tells us that the only thing they have in common is that they studied under the same professor. (Which we already know because of World Underneath but again!!!! This is really connecting all of the outside Anecdotes and various other stories to the Main one!)

We get to call Carter crazy which is fun for me personally (Its also how we find out he is trying to poach us from Zayne to be Carter's patient. Ewwwwwwww)

Zayne also gets to call him crazy 🤣

We get more information about why the medical team is going to Chansia from Greyson

A specific patient has a weird crystal growth in his heart that is different from the normal patients. (Beta Protocurve anyone?) When this patient was admitted to the hospital he caused a Metaflux burst.

We keep trying to surprise Zayne on these trips and it never works XD. He signed all our paperwork so he knew we were coming

The Wanderer we are chasing closely resembles Myst ( a type of Wanderer) the proctores don't match up however.

The proctore that is pulled from the patient is like the ones we gave Zayne from the monsters in the N109 Zone.

Then out of nowhere a Metaflux occurs

We try and get Zayne and the other doctors to leave the ER but Zayne refuses trying to keep the patient alive

Zayne asks us to use our evol to suprees the Metaflux (Something I didn't even know our Evol could do but also like ofc I will cause he asked me to 🤣)

We do manage to suppress the Metaflux using our Evol and give Zayne enough time

Zayne pulls us off to the side to do a quick Evol examination

Zayne calls us out for not being entirely honest about why we were here. Which fair. But I'm pretty sure it's like classified so-

Zayne counters our point about how the Aether cores can't be causing the mutations due to one being perfectly integrated with our own Heart.

Zayne believes it's human made and I'm definitely inclined to believe him with all the shady shit Ever and Xander Sciences has done.

Somehow the patient is already awake which is genuinely terrifying cause WTF did they do to this dude?

FUCKING CARTER IS BACK AGAIN. THAT WORLD UNDERNEATH SECTION WAS RIGHT. HE IS SO STALKING ZAYNE WTF.

He says he wasn't following us but I don't fucking believe that shit

And this is when we find out that this dude is a Xander Sciences client. Which like. I've been acting like he was already, but this is the actual confirmation from Carter no less

He is trying to get us interested in whatever Frankenstein shit Xander Sciences is doing but both Mc and I could care LESS.

"It's okay, you'll be interested someday"

He tells us that only Xander Sciences can tell us about what is happening with our heart.

Greyson comes out and tell us that Zayne wants us inside and Greyson also kicks Carter out!!!!

The patient says that "It" trapped him somewhere, a nightmare.

We show him the Wanderer we are hunting. It's the one that put him into the coma

It's a little vague but we ending up in its reality shifting thing.

(Alr outside of the canon, I'ma mention this before we continue. This part is rooted in vague mentions. We still as of now 2/2/25 haven't really gotten any more information about what exactly occurs. We know Dawnbreaker is apart of it but wheter we actually meet Dawnbreaker or Dr. Zayne as Dawnbreaker is something that was debated and still is. Im going to try and keep it to the facts as much as I can but just know that it's difficult to tell even to MC in game who we are talking to. So unless it states otherwise I will be referring to them as "Zayne")

MC deduces after a moment that we are in the Wanderer's protofield

We see "Zayne" and sharp ice crystals materialize around us to pierce our heart

We wake up to "Zayne" in Dawnbreaker's outfit mind you. Which I don't think in any story outside of Dawnbreaker's we ever see Zayne wear.

His figure apparently matches up with the dark figure we have seen before.

MC describes the place she is in and it's Dawnbreaker's apartment from Still in the Dark

Ex. In the fridge is only "weird packets" which we know to the nutritional drink that DB drinks and Chocolate.

MC starts speculating. She mentions how the patient was only trapped in their own dream

She is implying that this is "Zayne's"

"Zayne" mentions that he has dreamed off this place but that everything was better off than it is now.

"Zayne" confirms that this is the place where his nightmares have been occurring

MC mentions how "Every Detail" of this place is fleshed out. That "Zayne" must have seen these places alot to recreate it so clearly (This is what I mean about vague. It's implying that is only a dream of this world but it also keeps hinting that it may be an reality)

MC once again mentions the weary face of one Zayne and her own merging and then immediately separating.

First of all, i want to say i’m sorry if the english is bad, it’s not my native language but i’ll try my best.

This is so embarrassing for me. I don’t even have much followers here but i literally don’t know what to do. I’m desperate and I wouldn’t do this if I wasn’t really really desperate.

I’m struggling so hard financially right now. I want to explain my whole situation but it’s hard when I don’t really know how to explain in english.

To keep it short - I don’t have any money at all right now after paying my bills. And now my dog is sick which I found out yesterday. She needs to have a back surgery, and this will costs me a lot of money, because the insurance does not cover the entire cost.

If i cant afford the surgery, the vet suggests euthanasia. I’m so sad and heartbroken because she is my everything.

People hate krs!Cale???

TLDR; People don't hate krs!Cale. Some people think og!Cale fans do (they don't). They hate og!Cale because of it.

I just recently remembered about a reddit post asking about 'why do people hate krs!Cale just because of og!Cale?' and just… wow. I checked and it's deleted now and thank goodness.

It was 10 months ago so you can tell what they said stuck with me. Not in a good inspirational way, as in it was like a parasite that wouldn't leave and kept filling me with rage because of how wrong it was.

To summarize, it was basically saying that "og!Cale fans are hating on krs!Cale just for their own agenda, krs!Cale did nothing wrong, the soul swap was consesual, why does og!Cale even have fans?"

Almost everyone in the replies was like 'I didn't know people liked og!Cale' or 'People hate krs!Cale??' but I noticed one person pointed out that op was a mdzs fan. They were basically saying that op was projecting the stanwars of 'Wei Wuxian vs Jiang Cheng' of the mdzs fandom into tcf. Honestly they were rude, but they had a point.

(For context, mdzs is a popular book. In it's story, the main character that people love, Wei Wuxian, has some conflicts with a character people are divided about, Jiang Cheng. And in the mdzs fandom, WWX stans hate JC, JC stans don't hate WWX but WWX stans feel like they do just because JC stans defend JC. So it's almost always a stanwar there.)

Tbh, I always felt that there were people in the fandom who don't like og!Cale or don't like even mentioning him. Every so often, I'll see someone invalidating his experiences, him as a character, or people's love for him. Like "(character) didn't do anything wrong to ogcale", or "What did ogcale actually do", or "I'm sick and tired of ogcale stans and fics". I ignored it, people are entitled to their opinions no matter how much I disagree or think they're wrong I don't care to confront them.

But that reddit post was what basically confirmed for me/convinced me that some people feel insecure because of og!Cale. They subconsciously think og!cale as a character and people's love for him automatically makes krs!Cale "someone who stole ogcale's identity and isn't actually Cale and doesn't deserve everyone's love for him as Cale". You know, they think that's what og!Cale fans think.

I'm one person so I can't speak for everyone but I don't think anyone actually thinks that about krs!Cale.

I don't wanna invalidate people's experiences in the fandom, especially since I don't have concrete proof of what that reddit post said because it's deleted and i blocked everyone who said stuff like this: "(character) didn't do anything wrong to ogcale", or "What did ogcale actually do", or "I'm sick and tired of ogcale stans and fics". So there will most definitely be people who will question ME about these experiences and say it didn't happen.

But I don't think anyone hates krs!Cale because of og!Cale. If they do, they don't represent the entirety of og!Cale fans and you don't have to hate og!cale as a character because of it.

Krs!Cale and og!Cale isn't a stan war. It never was, it never should be. It's not Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian.

It's not rocket science. Everyone in the replies of that reddit post didn't know people were hating on krs!Cale because people AREN'T hating on krs!Cale.

you bringing up the kr version of hurricane and the martyr complex light has in it is great bc what fascinates me about hurricane as a song is how radically different it is in different languages? as we all know in the manga light has this horrible visceral reaction to what he’s done. he looks like he’s gonna be sick when he has that guy hit by a truck. when ryuk turns up he admits that he’s been losing weight and barely sleeping. but the musicals differ so massively in how light is portrayed? because in english light seems to have this very strong sense of justice from the start - in where is the justice he denounces the corporations corrupting the legal system and asks “how can we turn away and say that’s just the way things are?” and then in hurricane he hardly seems upset at all by what he’s done. he seems vaguely surprised at how easy it was and then turns around and sings about how he’s got this insanely strong, perfect, untraceable power that he’s going to use to deliver righteous retribution. BUT then the jp versions of witj and hurricane are much less certain and light seems more horrified and then hopeful. the focus is on creating a perfect world, not necessarily punishment. he’s more a glass half full kinda guy. and then it changes AGAIN in the kr. it’s so fascinating he is a completely different version of himself in all three versions and i just need to ask. what are your opinions on this. am i making this up. do you understand how my brain is firing

you are NOT making this up and i DO understand how your brain is firing. listen. listen. in that same post about light/achilles (intertextual comparison not ship) (although?) and prompted by a response from someone else cool i reposted these tweets (which you have literally just seen because i shoved them at you but ill post them again so everyone can see)

to me it is like, very key that every iteration of light yagami SEEMS really different. in their behaviour, their values, what it takes to push them to acting and how they react, etc - obv you've brought up light as he appears in the three most well known languages the musical exists in, but i also am a huge fan of comparing his animanga self (already two different iterations to an extent) with the tv drama, which has maybe the most distinctive version of light out of all of them and which i BELIEVE? drew criticism? but i am not 100% because i was not here for this because i watched death note for the first time in fucking february. because i am hip with the kids. #rad

anyway this is part of a much larger ramble of mine that i am not really doing justice here but i actually really like that that version of light is so incredibly different - and yet he really isnt, somehow, because he ends up not only at the same ending but recognisable as the same person. that's what i think is so interesting! these differences are undeniably there and they're BIG - as you said, between musicals he ranges from being a vengeful guy on a power trip to being an idealist with a martyr complex, and you'd think those are two totally different sets of core values. between animanga vs tv drama he goes from being this cool and collected hyper prepared cynical idealist to being a depressed nihilist who's working extremely hard to shed his own ability so he doesn't have to deal with the pain of caring. again, these seem, and factually are, completely different sets of values.

and yet they're actually perfectly reconcilable. every iteration of light no matter how distinct and no matter how much their core values seem to oppose or contradict each other ends up reconciling into the same guy partway through the story, where all of these different directions he's been going in all converge. his priorities even out - regardless of if it was the power trip that came first or the desire for the perfect world, they balance ultimately and coexist. regardless of whether his idealism led him to bitter radicalisation or nihilism, they also balance ultimately and coexist. is light affected by his first murder? yes - how does it show it? that differs, but none of the lights are actually deluded enough to think that murder is good. they all think it's bad but defensible and justifiable and then visibly cope with that fact in different ways. light looks like a VERY different man depending on which of his values are being pushed to the fore in a given interpretation, but all that really does is serve to spell out exactly how complex he is internally once you watch them all converge at around similar points in the story, even when at the barest and most uncharitable interpretation he just looks like a maniacal serial killer with a delusional god complex. this is why i like him so much unfortunately

Au: Attendant of the Prince’s Palace

- Kim Rok Soo wakes up as the first prince’s attendant! Surprise!

- Yeah it’s basically the indignity test but longer.

- For this AU, let’s say that Alberu becomes the Crown Prince when he turns 20. KRS wakes up in the body of an attendant when Alberu is 18. For the sake of not making the attendant too young, he is only three years younger than Alberu, making the attendant 15 at the start, and 20 at the start of the Tcf plot.

- Also, for those who think krs/newbie attendant is still too young, I actually find it’s quite common in fantasy for attendants to basically grow up and become a servant for a royal at a young age. It’s actually also common for servants of royalty to be from lower noble households(I think. At least in this au).

- So let’s just say that this attendant is the son of some poor baron or something, and he needs the money for taking care of his little siblings.

- Unfortunately, shortly before the switch, he loses his little siblings due to a sickness going around the nobility at the time. Crushed at the news, he is in no state to fight back when an administrator working for the Queen, after scamming him out of information on the first prince, gets him fired. A few days pass and he’s got a week left to get his affairs in order before he has to leave the palace and go back to his family’s small, cold estate.

- So our attendant was soon to be kicked out when Kim Rok Soo wakes up in his body.

[“When I opened my eyes, I was inside a novel.

[The Birth of a Hero] was a novel focused on the adventures of the main character, Choi Han, a high school boy who was transported to a different dimension from Earth, along with the birth of the numerous heroes of the continent.

I became a part of that novel as an extra who’s not even mentioned once. An attendant of the soon-to-be Crown Prince’s palace who doesn’t even encounter the protagonist in any of the five volumes.

The problem is that the attendant I became doesn’t know anything about the state of the palace, and will apparently be kicked out in a week after getting scammed by one of the Queen’s henchmen.

I feel like something serious has happened to me.


But it was worth trying to make this my new life.]

- With a completely clean slate for appearance, I decided to go with how I imagined him.

- Appearance: He wakes up as a 15 year old newbie attendant with cherry brown hair and innocent reddish brown eyes. His hair is straight, just above shoulder length, and typically tied in a low ponytail. Why is his hair cherry brown, you might ask? Because regular brown is too boring and I liked red, but we’ve already got several redheads and he can’t be too similar to OG!Cale. Why not black? Black is very uncommon in this world and he had black hair as Kim Rok Soo. So I came across the color cherry brown on Pinterest and fell in love. It’s sooo pretty! Seriously, look it up. It doesn’t stand out too much in a world of candy-haired individuals, but it’s also just unique enough to make it pretty.

- Anyway….He is initially irritated by this situation, but finds that it is quite satisfying to use his innocent and clueless face to his advantage. While he doesn’t know much of the situation in the palace from what he read in the novel, he does know that Alberu Crossman is the only competent prince and it would be in his favor to make a good impression on him. Also, palace attendants get paid quite well; PTO and everything, which will be beneficial toward his future slacker life.

- He may not know this Alberu Crossman as he does in canon, but he still carries his skills as the number one Team Leader in the company. He didn’t earn that position by being unable to use his situation to his advantage.

- He figures that if he’s getting fired anyway, he might as well flip everything over. Obviously the whole thing with the Library doesn’t happen as he has no knowledge of it, so he just does his attendant work with while planning to smack that administrator in the back of the head. None of the other attendants know about his termination, so he’s able to move around with relative ease.

- Alberu still doesn’t have any backing and is quite paranoid, especially since he’s so close to becoming the Crown Prince. He is more mature than his 15 year old counterpart, but for the sake of enjoyment, he’s still quite similar to indignity test Alberu. He later has a lot of backing and is much more secure in his position thanks to our Slacker-wannabe by the time the plot commences.

- By the time the plaza terror incident comes around, Krs has done a complete sweep of the staff and replaced everyone who has no use(that administrator was one of the first to go), and has even been promoted to the Crown Prince’s personal secretary(much to his dismay).

- Without the aid of the 4 year old dragon, he doesn’t actually find out that Alberu is a quarter dark elf until after one of his paid vacations, where he returns to the palace with a 2 year old dragon in tow. (He’s 18 at the time. Working his way up the ranks. But only for the pay!)

- He meets On and Hong on another of his paid vacations just shortly before the start of the plot. So Raon is with him longer in this au. He figured he’d get the shield while checking in on Choi Han, who is still in Harris Village.

- He gets there a few days before the Harris Village massacre in order to warn Choi Han, as well as the Count, of a possible attack on the village. How he does that without raising suspicion or being seen as crazy? I haven’t thought of that yet.. but with the help of the Molan duo and the protagonist, he is able to save the village.

- After returning to the Henituse estate with the swordmaster in tow, he states that he has duties he must attend to and must return to the capital for the King’s birthday celebration. Of course, Choi Han wishes to go with him, but relents and agrees to accompany Young Master Cale to the Capital and meet Krs there.

- As for our trashy Young Master? He immediately became attached to the strange man with the same eyes as him. If it’ll let him go with this so-called “attendant” to the Capital, then he can tone down his trashy actions enough to represent the Henituse County at the Birthday celebration.

- Now what about the children averaging seven years old? They’re still there. With Raon being invisible for the majority of his trip to the Henituse County, and On and Hong familiarizing themselves with this strange man and dragon duo who picked them up off the street. On and Hong help out with the Secret Organization at Harris Village. Since Krs has his shield by then, it wouldn’t make sense for him not to have picked up the kittens. Unfortunately, the Arm members teleport away before they can be caught. The rest commit suicide in order to not give out any information.

- Our attendant luckily manages to keep the dragon a secret until he leaves for the Capital. Or plans to.

- Under the insistence of the young master, he is forced to accompany them to the Capital in a carriage instead of teleporting like he had planned to do. Since no one knows about the dragon, they all assumed he would be taking a carriage to Huiss, and Krs doesn’t correct them as he can’t exactly say that he planned to teleport with the aid of a four year old dragon. So, begrudgingly, he agrees to join their entourage on the journey.

- There go his plans of slacking off until the Plaza Terror incident…

Fyi, if anyone has a name for our attendant, let me know! The main reason this post was so late is because I struggled trying to think of a name for him that actually sounded nice and not too fancy..😅

I think people think I’m joking but unless we get some sort of indication from bts that the fuckery of last season is fixed early on, i am completely serious about the fact that i will only be reading episode recaps and live blogs when season 8 comes out bc i cannot keep putting myself through the mental gymnastics that season 7 did just to get nothing of substance out of it… like until we get some sort of something good that actually progresses the story in a way that doesn’t jump the shark or retcon entire previous arcs i will be sitting back and ignoring it because I’m not about to waste my time if it’s gonna be a rehash of season 7 in terms of disproportionately mistreating poc characters over others while also sweeping former plotlines under the rug and/or rehashing story arcs that have already been used/completed just for cheap drama. Tim is better than this, these writers are better than this, but I’m not gonna sit by and watch just out of fandom obligation as they continue to fuck shit up when i’ve spent the past 7 years watching this show. it’s not worth my time and stress at that point.

which makes me so sad bc i love this show and what it used to be, but i’m getting sick of the way things have continued to go downhill since KR took over, and it is especially disappointing that Tim Minear is responsible for such a messy season when i was so prepared for him to actually bring back the show we all knew and loved, and instead we got something that ranks alongside 5/6 for me which is so upsetting.

(sorry i don’t mean to come off as super complain-y and pessimistic lately, and i promise im gonna start posting more positive stuff again but i just can’t have a repeat of what last season was for me mentally lmao)
