My Justice League Canada ideas may not be perfect, but there's too much writing on my part for me to completely ditch it. So I'm going to reblog some of my old notes, repost some of the old ones, and then just share all my new ones. Just really try to work on finally sharing it all. Because I never actually have shared it all, and I feel like that's my bad. So I'll try to correct that. Because my team concept had Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, Red Tornado, Martian Manhunter, Captain Marvel/Shazam, Mantis (yes, that vietnamese celestial madonna from marvel), and a whole slew of original characters (who I didn't actually put extensive detail into, but who had enough detailing). Oh, we also had the crime syndicate, an original villian who gave people influenza, and Guy Gardner.

Chapter 21 is up

“Stand down and you won’t end up like this fool,”

            I pointed down to the pile of ash. A few of the men muttered to themselves. Weighing their options as if they had one.

            “What’s in it for us?” 

            I looked over to Selina’s top bodyguard, Ollie, who had taken a step forward from the rest of the crowd. He wanted out from under Selina’s titan grasp. Whether the Canary did, didn’t matter, he wanted out. Though I owned the building, the Cat’s Den was Bruce and Selina’s brainchild from Gotham. I had a bargaining chip to play, loosening Bruce’s hold on my assets.  

            “You want to leave this place with your little birdie, don’t you?”

            Ollie raised his eyebrow. 

            “Don’t listen to him....” one of the men behind Ollie said.

            “I am a generous man to those who serve me and my cause,” I continued. “Walk away now and I’ll extend an invitation to you to join me directly. You and your little birdie will have a safe place under my roof and the power that it entails...”

            Ollie lowered his gun. The men behind him looked shocked.

            “Traitor…” one of the men shouted. 

            Ollie swiftly shot the man in the face without looking back.

            “Well then, let the fun begin…”

 Ollie slipped another round into the barrel of his gun as the men behind him rushed us. The first man that reached me, I grabbed hold of his arm. Ripping it out of its socket, arm still in hand, I cracked the skull open of the man behind him. Ollie was head-shooting men left and right. While I ripped Selina’s men, limb from limb. After a few moments, we were surrounded by a pile of broken bodies and blood.  

            “We make a pretty good team…” Ollie started to say, but I was already running down the hall.

            After a few seconds, I was standing behind Selina. She had slammed the door to her office. I could hear the Amazon screaming from the other side. Rage filled me. 

            “Selina!” I bellowed. 

            She reached for her gun and turned to face me. She shot three rounds into my shoulder. Ping, ping, ping. They bounced off my body, ricocheting into the walls around us.

            “DIE”

            “You first,”

            I unleashed hellfire from my eyes into her face. She barely made a sound as her flesh melted. Even the walls around us were singed. Rushing through her burnt body, I slammed into the door. It didn’t budge.  Suddenly, a rumble of thunder emanated from inside the room. I needed to get inside. 

            I rammed into the door a few times to no avail. Bruce’s doing, for sure. He wanted to keep his whore safe from me. Sadly, it didn’t work. It, however, was going to get the Amazon taken. Where was J’onzz?

            “J’onzz...  J’onzz…” I called out.

His absence frustrated me. He should have been here by now.

“Where the hell are you...”

Crackdoom…. Thunder clapped once more from inside Selina’s office.

            “She’s doing that,”

I heard J’onzz’s voice beside me. Out of the corner of my eye he phased into view. 

“What are you talking about, you green bastard?” I hissed. “Why are you just getting here?”

Crackdoom….

“Oh, I’ve been here,” J’onzz said as he pointed up to the heavens. “I’ve been observing her....”

J’onzz looked at me with a gleam of wonderment in his eyes.

“...She’s causing it, the thunder. I knew she was powerful but this is fascinating…”

“Fuck your fascinations, J’onzz!” I snapped

J’onzz rolled his eyes as he pointed to the right of the door in front of us.

“I’d blast over here,” he said. “He’s got her pressed up against the door….”

I tried to look through the door, but it was made of lead. I was able to make out two figures. One was smaller with their back to the door, the other was taller, broader. It was caressing the smaller figure’s body.

“Mine…” I thought.

Dick Grayson's talent for manipulation literally brings the world to its knees.

My absolute favorite trait about Dick aside from his craziness is his ability to control every single person in existence. The best part is, he's so clever in the way that he does it that people almost never notice.

"Oh! Ahh..you're trying to get my DNA sample. You need my spit! Ha! That's such a Dick Grayson thing to do."

Bart knows!! Dick's brilliantly sly okay. Honey catches more flies that vinegar? He takes it so far that breaks he the ceiling with it because by the time he's done, people don't even know they've been manipulated. And if they do, then what can they do about it? He always wins.

With friends and family he does it to make them feel better without being so overt and discomforting them.

Justice League: Road to Dark Crisis

Jon came to him when he was feeling lost and upset and Dick set up the perfect conditions to encourage him and pick him up. He's just so good at doing what he's doing but he does it for all the right reasons.

But the extent Dick can go trick and manipulate someone is off the charts. A virtuoso.

In a Titans comic, Dick literally spent MONTHS acting depressed and weak after Donna, Wally, and Garth were kidnapped to another dimension by a villain just so he could trick the villain into thinking that his career was over and bring him into the same dimension so Dick could take him down.

He fooled everyone.

"Batman taught me how to be a totally convincing actor! So if the only way you could send me here with your ring was if I filled my brain with evil thoughts, I just faked it! My facial expression was pure evil-but my mind remained pure good." MONTHS.

He planned, pretended, and calculated every single fiber of his own mind and body until the whole world was fooled by his acting. He tricked an interdimensional being who had psychic access. That means he was so extraordinarily manipulative, he can control his own thoughts inside his head to trick someone else. Voldemort's legilimens has nothing on Dick's talent.

Like Bart, sometimes his allies are aware of this like with Selina-

Selina's literally having a mental breakdown trying not to fall for Dick's manipulation and tricks.

But even if they know he's manipulating them, they still are forced to fall for it anyway.

Like a goldilocks mad scientist - he does it just right.

His acting is just so on point that he outschemes the schemer.

When the Crime Syndicate (Superwoman, Ultraman, Owlman, Power ring, etc) arrive on Earth to take it over when Dick is Batman, Dick needs to do something fast. But to make things worse, there's a being that's so powerful, that both the Crime Syndicate and Justice League combined have a snowball's chance in hell of defeating him.

So what does Dick do? He runs the game.

I love how they characterized Owlman as a snake because that would make Dick a mongoose since mongoose eats snakes. And do you know what Mongoose represent in folklore? Action, adventure, boldness, fearlessness, impulsiveness, independence, optimism, rebellion, resistance, resourcefulness, speed, adaptation, agility, quickness, intelligence and wit. All characteristics that define him.

He plays the world like a chessboard, always five steps ahead.

He always has an ace hidden up his sleeve.

His thoughts are always masked behind a disarming smile.

He has mastered the art of manipulation.

And that's while he's outright fighting. His subtlety is just so seductive.

He's so smooth. She's constantly on the watch but she instantly fell head over heels for his charms in a half a heartbeat, that's just how good he is.

It's seriously such a shame that one of his greatest skills and talents isn't talked about more because this man?! Flawless.

He's the spy everyone on TV wishes they could be. He's the type of spy people read about in history books and marvel at the ease, grace, and legendary story he leaves behind. He's the spy that everyone knows and dreams of in their fantasies.

Nightwing (2016)

And oh how they so are.

He can just get people to do whatever he wants.

There's a reason why Batman's only contingency plan against Nightwing is "Let's hope he fucks up." Because with his intelligence, skill, power, charisma, and raw talent - he's goddamn unstoppable.

Danny reincarnates, y’know, as some realms beings who have previously died will do. He doesn’t choose a dimension or a perfect life or anything, he just misses being alive in a way that’s starting to grow unfamiliar now y'know? 

So he reincarnates, most memories gone and those not easily dismissed as dreams and imagination. He even gets a baby brother in this life, a tiny thing with bright blue eyes and a good grip on his fingers. He loves his baby brother. Adores him. Would do anything for him. 

Or, Danny incarnates as Thomas Wayne Jr, Bruce Wayne’s older brother.

Ultraman (Lor-Zod/Kent Clarkson): General Dru-Zod was an infamous kryptonian warlord and enemy of superman. Faora Hu-Ul was another infamous kryptonian outlaw, renowned for having a secret concentration camp where she would torture and kill innocent men. Both of them were sentenced to the Phantom Zone, years before krypton exploded. From within their interdimensional prison, they would always try to escape to earth, only to be menaced by Superman.

But little did superman know: zod and faora had a kid. Born in the phantom zone, they built him a rocket and tried to get him to break through the dimensional barrier onto earth. Well…the rocket successfully did that, only it crashed on the anti-matter earth instead of the positive matter one. Landing in chicago, young lor-zod ends up getting adopted by a pair of amateur bank robbers: the husband and wife duo John and Mariah Clarkson.

Growing up amongst outlaws and thieves, young "kent clarkson" was groomed to be his parents darling successor in the crime world. When his parents discovered his kryptonian powers, they began using him in their heists. Pretty soon, the clarksons became notorious gangsters. Known and feared all across north america for their power and might. Kent's parents doted on him, seeing him as their little miracle child. He brought them success. He's their gift from god.

When Kent was around 14-15, his parents finally revealed to him that he was adopted. They showed him the spaceship they found him in, and even the letter attached with him, written by his father. He is Lor-Zod, heir to the House of Zod. Although Kent never actually got to meet his biological parents (always assuming them to be dead), he honoured them with his villian costume. Ultraman wears proudly the symbol of the house of zod on his chest, the same way superman wears the S on his.

A few years after Kent learned about his true identity and ancestry, his adopted earth parents died in a shootout with law enforcement. Seeing the police bullets flying toward his parents broke something within the boy named Kent Clarkson. It awoke a ruthlessness within him, a tyrant's wrath just waiting to be unleashed. Because just like his biological father, lor-zod was a warrior born! Angry at the stupid cops, Kent used his hest vision to melt the flesh right off their bones. Then he flew away and went into hiding for a while, as he began plotting his revenge.

He forged a costume for himself, branding himself Ultraman (wearing the U symbol of the House of Zod with pride). Using his kryptonian might, he quickly flew to Washington DC and killed the president and his entire cabinet. Then he declared himself dictator for life of the united states, and he began consolidating his power.

From there, he met the Aresian Barbarian. Whispering his words of bloodlust and wrath in kent's ear, Ultraman decided to gather up the seven worst criminals the united states had to offer, and together they formed an alliance to take over the globe. Thus, the Crime Syndicate was born (with Ultraman unanimously sworn in as leader).

After the Justice League Canada come to the anti-matter earth and threaten his power, things rapidly spiral out of control for Ultraman. Power Ring and Johnny Quick are taken to the positive matter universe. Owlman begins to lead a rebellion against the crime syndicate. The Aresian Barbarian betrays them to go serve as a general in kronos/saturn's army. There's only three members of their syndicate left, and their base of power is really wavering…

“You going to answer my question?” he asked.

“And what was that?”

“Darkseid?!”

He raised his voice a little too much. Slamming the glass down on the table, Bruce’s hand began to bleed. Bringing his bloodied hand to his lips he pulled a piece of glass out with his teeth.

“So it is about the girl,” Bruce spat, spitting the piece of glass onto the floor. 

I shrugged.

“Maybe,” I replied. “Hence I need you to look into him…”

“Maybe?” Bruce asked as he raised his eyebrows. 

“Did I stutter?”

Walking past Bruce, I pulled down on a candelabra on the wall behind him. A piece of a side panel popped out of the wall. Pressing inward, the panel revealed a hidden passageway.

“This isn’t a laughing matter, Clark,” Bruce said with a hint of shock. 

“And I didn’t laugh,” I replied. “You are coming?”

Stepping into the passageway, I followed it deep underground. Not as grand as his cave in Gotham, this was the center of his spy operations in Metropolis. Bruce soon followed suit. Rushing to catch up, Bruce was breathless. His heartbeat tripled the closer I came to his private hideaway.

“He’s never messed with us before and we’ve never messed with him,” Bruce shouted from behind me. “The only thing different now is the girl... What does she have to do with Darkseid?”

“She’s beautiful,” I replied. “What more does a man need to want to take something?”

When Bruce finally caught up with me, he jumped in front of me. Breathless, he placed his hand out to stop me from moving forward. 

“So, you want to start a gang war with a man with more power than us, over a woman,” he said in between trying to catch his breath. 

Swiftly I grabbed Bruce’s wounded hand, digging my thumb into his open wound. He grunted in pain. A sound I did enjoy. Probably more than I should have, but I took great pleasure in silencing his big mouth. 

“This has nothing to do with her,” I lied.

I pushed him back into the wall behind him. Leaning my mouth to his ear, each word from my lips burned in his ear. Bruce’s resistance to my grip faded.

“Lie to yourself, but not to me,” he said as he licked my lips. “Tell me, did her body fold into you like this...”

He pressed his body into mine, I felt him pressing against me. Hard as always.

“I wouldn’t know,”

I avoid his gaze.

“Now, now Clark, who’s lying,” he cooed. “This has everything to do with ‘her’.”

 I ran my thumb over his still-blooded lips as his eyes closed. 

“And what if it does,’ I replied.
