Prompt 14 - Rejection
@jegulus-microfic July 14, Word count 577
“Hey, Evans, go out with me!”
“No!”
“Hey Lily, date me!”
“Not a chance!”
“Oi, Evans, you me Hogsmeade!”
“I would rather befriend a venomous tentacula!”
James was well acquainted with rejection. It was almost a daily occurrence at that point. He’d been asking Lily Evans out for years. He didn’t know what he’d do if she said yes. He just asked now because he always had.
After the latest rejection, he wandered out into the courtyard, alone. He lay on one of the stone walls around the fountain and let the early summer sun warm him.
It was quiet in the courtyard, all the other students were either in lessons or studying for their exams. He began to drift off and was woken by a set of footsteps entering the courtyard. The footsteps paused, and he heard the sound of shoes spinning on the stone slabs. He cracked open an eye and saw Regulus Black exiting the area.
“Hey, Regulus, you can stay,” He watched as Regulus’s back and shoulders tensed. “I can go if you want to be out here alone,” He added. He’d tried so hard to get Regulus to like him the first two years he was at Hogwarts, but he’d finally given up when he couldn’t even entice a smile out of the boy. Regulus huffed but came back over to where he was lying. James sat up and made room for him.
They sat in silence. James watched Regulus out of the side of his eye as Regulus tipped his face up enjoying the sun and breeze. He, of course, knew how alike the brothers looked, but this close to him, he could see the differences. Regulus had the Black family's high cheekbones and angular jaw, but it was softer than Sirius’s. His eyebrows were a slightly darker shade than his brothers and his curls had more of a wave to them.
“Stop staring at me, Potter,” Regulus grumbled. James quickly pulled his eyes from Regulus. He couldn’t figure out how Regulus knew he was watching him, as he hadn’t opened his eyes at all. Regulus rolled his shoulders and stood up. He nodded at James and walked back to the castle door. James realised he didn’t want him to leave. He gave into the impulse and opened his mouth.
“Hey, Regulus, wanna go on a date?” He was fully prepared for a rejection. Regulus turned his head and looked him up and down. His head tilted to the side.
“What have you got in mind?” He asked. James’s mouth went dry. This had never happened before. Lily had never asked him what the date would entail. He quickly racked his brain for something they could do that Regulus would enjoy.
“Quidditch pitch? We could run some drills, I could watch you run rings around me. We could toss a quaffle around?” He winced, it was a lame idea, Regulus Black would expect far more.
“Tomorrow evening after dinner?” Regulus said to him. He was in total shock. Was this actually happening?
“Yeah, sure, see you then,” He stammered. Regulus opened the door, he paused before he fully left.
“Oh and Potter, I won’t be going easy on you, so you’d better be on your game,” He left James slightly bewildered, but for the first time he hadn’t been rejected. He rushed upstairs to make sure his quidditch uniform was clean and to polish his broom ready for his date tomorrow.

Castlevania: Chronicles - The Courtyard:
"This is such a beautiful stage but don't let it's beauty fool you. It's definitely not an easy one, specially the beginning. There's so many annoying little gimmicks that will ruin the fun. At least the boss fight is quite tolerable."

Wicker Furniture in Delhi: Timeless Style for Indoor and Outdoor Spaces
Wicker furniture has long been celebrated for its natural beauty, robust build, and versatility. Whether used indoors to add a touch of rustic warmth or outdoors to create a cozy retreat, wicker furniture is an excellent choice. For those looking for high-quality wicker furniture in Delhi, the city offers an impressive range of products to suit various needs. This article delves deeper into the appeal and utility of wicker furniture, its various types, and why it’s a smart investment, especially in Delhi’s diverse climate.
What Makes Wicker Furniture Special?
The appeal of wicker furniture lies in its unique construction. Wicker is not a material but a weaving process that uses natural fibers like rattan, bamboo, or synthetic materials such as resin. The result is furniture that is lightweight yet incredibly durable, combining functionality with a timeless aesthetic.
One of the standout features of wicker furniture is its versatility. It easily complements a variety of design themes—whether your space leans toward contemporary, bohemian, or traditional styles. Moreover, its durability makes it ideal for both indoor and outdoor furniture needs.
In a city like Delhi, where seasonal shifts can range from scorching heat to chilly winters and monsoon rains, having furniture that is stylish, long-lasting, and easy to maintain is essential. Wicker furniture checks all these boxes.
Types of Wicker Furniture
1. Wicker Chair
Wicker chairs are a versatile addition to any home. Perfect for balconies, patios, or cozy corners indoors, these chairs come in various designs, including high-back chairs, rocking chairs, and armchairs. Adding colorful cushions or throws enhances comfort and brings a personalized touch.
2. Wicker Table
A wicker table is the perfect companion to your wicker chair or sofa set. From small coffee tables to larger dining tables, these pieces are functional while adding character to your space. The lightweight design makes them easy to move, while their sturdy construction ensures they last for years.
3. Wicker Dining Set
For families who enjoy gathering for meals, a wicker dining set is an excellent choice. These sets are ideal for outdoor spaces like gardens and terraces but are equally appealing in dining rooms. Their weather-resistant nature ensures they maintain their charm, even when exposed to the elements.
4. Wicker Sofa Set
A wicker sofa set is an elegant solution for seating needs. Ideal for hosting guests or relaxing with family, these sets can be used in living rooms, patios, or even in sunrooms. Choose from two-seater, three-seater, or sectional designs to suit your space and requirements.
5. Wicker Lounger
For those who love lounging in the sun or by the pool, a wicker lounger is an unbeatable choice. With ergonomic designs and sturdy builds, these loungers are built for comfort. They are perfect for soaking up the sun, reading a book, or simply enjoying a moment of peace.
6. Wicker Bar Furniture
Wicker bar furniture adds a unique, relaxed vibe to any social setting. Bar stools, counters, and storage units made from wicker can transform your outdoor area into a stylish and functional space for entertaining guests.
7. Wicker Accessories
Beyond furniture, wicker accessories such as storage baskets, planters, trays, and lampshades add subtle charm to any room. These small but impactful items tie together a design theme and bring a cohesive, natural feel to your interiors or outdoor spaces.
Benefits of Wicker Furniture for Delhi Homes
Delhi’s fluctuating weather, ranging from scorching summers to damp monsoons and chilly winters, requires furniture that can endure these shifts without compromising style or functionality. Wicker furniture rises to the occasion with the following benefits:
Weather-Resistant: Synthetic wicker is treated to withstand moisture, heat, and UV rays, making it perfect for outdoor use in gardens, terraces, and balconies.
Durable Construction: Despite its lightweight design, wicker furniture is built to last. Natural wicker offers a timeless appeal, while synthetic wicker ensures greater resistance to wear and tear.
Easy Maintenance: Wicker furniture is low-maintenance. A quick wipe with a damp cloth or occasional vacuuming keeps it looking as good as new.
Lightweight and Portable: Wicker furniture is easy to move, making it simple to rearrange spaces for gatherings, events, or a change in decor.
Eco-Friendly Choices: Natural wicker furniture is often crafted from sustainable materials, appealing to environmentally conscious buyers.
Styling Tips for Wicker Furniture
Create Contrasts: Pair wicker chairs or sofas with soft cushions in bold patterns or earthy tones for a balanced look.
Layer Textures: Use throws, rugs, or curtains in complementing materials like linen or wool to add depth to your wicker furniture setup.
Highlight with Lighting: Lanterns, string lights, or candles can amplify the natural charm of wicker furniture, especially in outdoor spaces.
Accessorize Thoughtfully: Add planters, trays, or wicker storage baskets to tie the look together. These small touches make your space feel warm and inviting.
Mix and Match: Combine wicker furniture with metal or wooden pieces for a modern twist on classic styles.
Why Invest in Wicker Furniture in Delhi?
Delhi’s homes and lifestyles demand furniture that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Wicker furniture offers the perfect solution by combining beauty, durability, and practicality. Whether you’re furnishing a compact apartment balcony, a sprawling garden, or an indoor living space, wicker furniture adapts to any setting effortlessly - The Courtyard.
From wicker chairs and tables to luxurious sofa sets and loungers, the options are vast and varied. Add wicker dining sets for family meals or bar furniture for hosting friends, and you’ll find that wicker furniture transforms your home into a comfortable and stylish haven.
In conclusion, wicker furniture is not just about style—it’s about creating spaces where functionality meets charm. For Delhi residents, it’s an investment in quality, adaptability, and a timeless design that can be enjoyed for years to come.

Entrance Into God’s Presence
1 He made the altar of burnt offering of acacia wood. Five cubits was its length, and five cubits its breadth. It was square, and three cubits was its height. 2 He made horns for it on its four corners. Its horns were of one piece with it, and he overlaid it with bronze. 3 And he made all the utensils of the altar, the pots, the shovels, the basins, the forks, and the fire pans. He made all its…

Do you guys want to know the thing that pisses me off about Inquisition the most? If you play your cards right (have Alistair stay a warden and side with the mages instead of the templars) You can have Alistair and Fiona both at Skyhold at the exact same time and there's not a single interaction between the two of them. Which from Alistair's perspective is stupid because Fiona is a grey warden who's been cured of the blight and from Fiona's perspective is frustrating because she is his mother and she knows she's his mother
“Oh I shouldn’t talk to him because his father asked me not let him know he’s my son” Girly Maric’s dead and you have agency over your life. Get your ass to the courtyard and at least introduce yourself as the cured warden??????
#dragon age#dragon age inquisition#alistair theirin#grand enchanter fiona#I remember just looking at her !!!!!!!!!#girly pop he's in the courtyard right now don't ask me how he's doing go over there!#also Leliana doesn't talk to him either GIRL WHAT ARE **YOU** DOING

#poorly drawn mdzs#mdzs#lan jingyi#jin ling#Surprise comic for today because this was cut from the previous comic.#And I'm so close to finishing season 2! I want to post my final comics and celebrate!#I imagine they (the juniors) hold the stabbing incident over Jin Ling's head for years. Akin to a funny typo in the group chat.#The stabbing is his Grink. Every time JL and WWX are seen interacting someone makes a teasing remark.#“I'm going to go ask Wei Wuxian what he thinks about our night hunt plans.” “Okay! Don't stab him ^-^.”#I also imagine WWX eventually leaning into it. A little bit of teasing to let it be known that there are no hard feelings.#LWJ (the funniest guy ever) would bide his time. Waiting for it to die down.#Then launch devastating blow as he joins in with “Wei Ying is in the courtyard. Please refrain from stabbing him today.”#Modern AU juniors would be brutal with the group chat lore. The pinned messages is a hall of fame and a hall of shame.#Nothing is forgotten. Nothing is sacred.#And poor jin ling is too reactionary. He is the ideal target because he flusters in a funny way.#I (the punchline friend) know my role well. I have been at the epicenter of many memorable typos and on-going bits.#You have to embrace it. Reverse it on them. Wield it as your power. Edit your messages to INCLUDE the typo.#(Fellow punchlines; I would *love* to hear your stories. Your jestery burdens. Your infamous typos. This is a safe space.)
