@accidental-spice READ THIS
Since I’m currently in a Star Wars phase, I was thinking…. How about a WondLa trilogy AU set in the Star Wars universe?
:D!!!!
It wouldn't be me if I didn't have a crossover or a couple for things I'm currently interested in, so I absolutely have a few, lmao.
I've been thinking of a post-WondLa canon SW AU wherein SW isn't in our past; rather, it's in the future and is currently set in the Prequels/Clone Wars era (my favorite :) ). I'm fudging with both canons a bit and putting WondLa several millenniums ahead of where it is in canon to fit in with the SW timeline and also saying that the galaxy is not far, far away. It's the Milky Way. SW humans are from the humans that abandoned Earth via the Dynasty Corporation and affiliated and just. Never came back.
(Continued under the cut because this got long lol)
It's been three or so years since the Battle of Solas, so Eva is around 16. My thinking is that Orbona is out in Wild Space, so it's been lost to charts and maps for a while, thus explaining why the people of SW don't know that the human home planet still exists, or even that there is a human home planet. During the War, the disaster trio (Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka) end up crash-landing on Orbona on the salt flat near Lacus and find themselves trekking from the now-broken Twilight to what they can see as the nearest civilization, which seems to be a mix of species, most of which-- barring humans-- the Jedi have never seen before. Let's say, for consistency's sake, that the aliens who ended up colonizing Earth/Orbona where from farther out, potentially the galaxy Ezra ended up in, so they're not present in the SW galaxy. Thus, the Jedi can't understand them. They, of course, manage to encounter Eva and co. and, since the humans speak Basic (or English, as the humans of Orbona know it), manage to get a rundown of where they are. (Obi-Wan's nerdy ass is incredibly excited to learn that Orbona/Earth is the planet of human origin. Think of the fossil records.)
And thus, through a series of shenanigans, Orbona is introduced to the larger galactic stage. A selection of beings from Orbona is chosen to go to Coruscant in order to present their planet to the Senate. This includes Eva, Vanpa, Rovender, and maybe Huxley? And others. Redimus is protection.
The Jedi have no idea what to make of Eva. She's extremely strong in the Living Force, but it presents itself in a way none of them have ever seen. I think she and Yoda would get along very well, to the horror of everyone else. She and Anakin would also eat bugs together.
One of the things I've been thinking about the most for this is Eva and the clones, because she, herself is also a clone, just of someone else. I can imagine they bond over that fact as well as personhood and being a second-class citizen in a place that doesn't really care for you. (Say what you want about New Attica, but Eva's status as a clone and her unique experiences were totally brushed over by the Atticans and I don't think she was super happy about that.) I think the vod'e would hear that Eva is still using her designation as her name (Earth in Vitro Alpha, ninth generation) and encourage her to find a name for herself, if she wants to. Eva Nine thus becomes Evelyn "Eva" Kitt :)
This somehow leads to Palps getting outed and ousted because I am all about fix-its in this house.
Other ideas I've had are SW characters in the WondLa setting, which I think is also very fun, but I've thought less about. For instance, the "Eva" would likely be either be Ezra or Omega due to the "naive little kid sees the world, grows up, and develops some pretty serious skills while also finding a family" thing. Ezra works thanks in part to already having similar powers and his relationship with his mentor/dad figure is similar to Eva's. Omega also works because of weird-little-girl-ness, vibes, being a clone, and a similar arc of losing a loved one and having to learn how to move on, though, in this AU, I feel like the person she loses- her caretaker- would have to be Nala Se and not a brother. (You can also insert Batcher in as Otto quite nicely. Maybe Ezra could get a Loth-Wolf?) Hunter is the Rovender, though I'd make it so he had a falling-out with his brothers instead of them being dead and that's why he left.
This also means that it's easy to insert Emerie as the Eva Eight figure, but also means that, in order for Ezra to work, there'd also have to be a bunch of Ezra clones running around. Lmao.

Total Drama family headcanons (and my urban fantasy editions)- Killer Bass and World Tour additions
Bridgette- only child; her mom had her as a teen and she's hasn't met her father.
Courtney- oldest of 4 sisters. Her mother, Maria, was born in Peru but was adopted by an interracial Canadian couple at young age.
DJ- canon is giving me mixed signals regarding DJ's family situation. One episode has him mentioning brothers, but they never show up, not even in the Celebrity Manhunt special. As for his parental situation, I originally headcanoned DJ's dad as having died when he was around 4, but lately I've been getting into the headcanon that he has 2 moms. In my AU, he'd definitely be an only child, but I'm still not sure what the parental situation would be except that his dad's no longer in the picture (if he was even in the picture at all).
Duncan- youngest of 4 siblings with the eldest being the only girl.
Eva- only child
Ezekial- only child; in my urban fantasy AU, he is the cousin of Jude.
Geoff- his online bio says he's the oldest of 5 brothers, but in the show, he mentions having an older brother. So I say Geoff is the 2nd oldest. In my urban fantasy AU, the older brother is Wayne from the 2023 reboot (which almost certainly isn't the case in canon, though he could still theoretically be one of Geoff's younger brothers), and one of his younger brothers is Rock (which again I don't think is the case in canon, given their lack of interactions in the Ridonculous Race).
Harold- his bio mentions him having an older brother and a younger sister. The younger sister in question may or may not be Scarlett. His parents are divorced and have joint custody.
Katie- Jen the fashion blogger is her older sister. In my urban fantasy AU, she is also the cousin (and possibly adoptive sister) of Mike and Dawn.
Sadie- she canonically has a sister named Cindy.
Tyler- only child; his mom died in a car crash when Tyler was 7.
Alejandro- He is canonically the youngest of 3 brothers. I also headcanon that his mother, Esmeralda, was born in Peru and (at least in my urban fantasy AU) grew up in an orphanage and she worked as a lounge singer before meeting her husband.
Sierra- I hc her canon self as being an only child. In my urban fantasy AU, she has 6 older paternal half-siblings, one of them being Ashley (the fourth clone from that episode of 6teen).

Some background on Oak and Suren for anyone who needs a refresher (with new edits)
This is after Cardan became a snake
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This after Cardan’s head was chopped off at the coronation during the sentencing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here are my thoughts
SOOO first thing that confused me with the description was that Holly called Suren the changeling queen (check my edit!) !!! One bc she is technically no longer a queen and two in order for her to to be a changeling Suren would have had to leave fairy for the mortal world!!!
But the discription also calls her a runaway soooooo maybe she ran away from fairyland and became a changeling that way (check my edit!)
Also let’s not forget the boon she owes Oak!!!!
Or that they were almost betrothed lol cute
So a reluctant prince on a quest with a scary queen
Hmmm
sounds a lil familiar
I can just imagine Cardan saying that the Greenbriar men have a pension to both being lazy and besotted with terrifying women
I’m so excited for this book
Edit:
TOTALLY MISSED THIS!!
@painfullysensible
Tumblr media
SHE IS ALREADY A CHANGELING so ur telling me this poor 9 year old child was raised in the safety of the mortal world ONLY TO BE DRAGGED BACK TO END UP LIKE THIS!!!!
(From Suren’s wiki page)
Tumblr media
So you mean to tell me that poor baby Suren was raised as a happy little changeling child going to school in the mortal world (where her evil parents dumped her for their own greedy purposes) playing video games and having a safe normal mortal life….
Until her wicked parents FORCEFULLY dragged her back to fairyland when THEY decided she would finally be useful to them.
AND THEN PAINFULLY ENSLAVED HER
they bound her with a cursed bridal and stitched a crown permanently onto her head and chained her wrist BY PENETRATING HER SKIN AND PUTTING A CHAIN THROUGH IT TO LEASH HER
What THE F&$@ I’m livid
So my NEW THOUGHTS With this additional information:
First of all Suren is a FANTASTIC CLONE CHARACTER TO THE WHOLE DUERTE FAMILY
Vivi was taken to the mortal world to be protected but then was forcefully dragged back around the same age that Suren was, by her own evil parent who wanted to use her (remember the Prophecy that made their mother run in the first place! It went something like: Eva’s child will be a more powerful weapon than One that Justin could ever forge) Madoc wanted that weapon
Jude and Tayrn also we’re stolen from the only life they ever knew. And Jude ended up being that weapon from the prophecy and Madoc knew that and definitely wanted to manipulate her to gain control
Suren is also a clone to Cardan, who was physically abused his family (like she was) and then was used as a puppet king (like she was) (yes jude treated him way better but it was still what happened)
AND OAK OMFG DONT GET ME STARTED ON HOW OAK AND SUREN CLONE AND FOIL EACHOTHER
The tl;dr Suren suffered the fate that Madoc would have subjected to Oak to, furthermore their lives and stories clone the other’s
A royal heir stolen away as a child
Lived a normal life til the time came for their parents to exploit them
To be used as a puppet king/queen
So they were again stolen away from the only life they ever knew
Also bonus their lives have been split between elfhame and the mortal world at opposite times of their lives
Let’s get into it
Madoc LITTERALLY was going to use Oak as his own puppet king!! It’s the whole reason Jude went through with everything!!! She sent Oak to the mortal world to protect him from that horrible and dangerous fate!
Oak was a royal heir stolen by Oriana. Then he was raised and loved by her, Madoc and his adoptive sisters.
Oak was SO LOVE IN FACT that when the opportunity came for his father to exploit him, his adoptive sister literally took over the country to prevent it from happening
Right before Jude found out about Oak, Vivi was like come back to the mortal world with me. Jude was like I’m not sure if I know how to be a human anymore… maybe I could learn, (learn to not be a power-hungry monster girl anymore) I could just turn over Cardan to Madoc, he’s never done anything for me anyways, maybe I could be human and live with my sister. BUT THEN SHE FOUND OUT THE TRUTH ABOUT OAK FROM ORIANA and so she had to construct the whole plan to betray Madoc and Cardan and to take over Fairyland.
Just so Oak could have a chance at the normal life she and her sisters never got so to protect him they stole him away from the life he had always know to live in the mortal world
JUDE WENT THROUGH HELL TO KEEP OAK SAFE, yes she kept at it bc of her lust for power but it all started with her love for Oak. This is how Loved Oak was. His family, specific Vivi, Oriana and Jude, went to great lengths to protect Oak
BUT POOR SUREN
she was royal heir stolen away to the mortal world and was raised their until the time came for her parents to exploit her
She was then again stolen away from the live she had always know and was abused and exploited as their puppet queen!!!
No one protected her
Except for Oak.
The boy prince who almost suffered the same fate as she did. Oak Interceded for her and was the reason she was granted Leniency
THE STOLEN HEIR WILL BE AMAZING
I can’t wait to know the actual canon back story for surens life in the mortal world and how everything went down ABBDJSUSHDHE AHHHHHH

I may have gotten some wrong so any of my group members who see this feel free to correct me. I could give more info in a follow up post on the pilots/PCs if people would like? This link should also have summaries for the game sessions, we try and update it when we can: https://imgur.com/gallery/XbxxKjQ

Fencer’s Big Eva Review
Just got done watching the Eva finale, so it’s time to get out thoughts while they’re fresh! Caveat: Eva is difficult to understand for native speakers, and I’m definitely not a native speaker XD I feel like I got maybe half, and got the rough gist of like 10% of the rest, and the remaining was just no friggin’ clue. Would’ve gone better if there’d at least been JP subs, but you’ll have to deal with what I’ve got for now!
It should be obvious, but there’ll be HELLA MAJOR SPOILERS for the final Evangelion movie. Ready? Let’s go.
The movie very helpfully starts off with a ~2 min recap of the movies thus far. This was great because I didn’t have time to rewatch the previous three before going, and while I’ve seen them a few times, it took me a second the recall what had happened at the very end of Q, so I was glad to get a very brief recap.
The actual movie itself opens on...Paris! Or Paris post-Near-Third-Impact (Third Impact?), which is a red and black wasteland. It seems that Wille has been developing these things that look like Entry Plugs that they shove into the ground and restore everything to pre-all-impacts (so like, blue water and everything); couldn’t get HOW it managed that, but they had them and were attempting to restore Paris.
Would have been a walk in the park except for weird Eva-Angel-Machine hybrids that were trying to prevent them from activating the plugs. Lots of fighting happens, with Mari piloting her Eva to give them cover while the Wille staff set everything up. Eventually they manage it, and Euro Nerv is restored.
Then we switch over to right where Q left off: Asuka, Clone!Rei, and a catatonic Shinji wandering around trying to go who knows where. They eventually get picked up by...Touji! Yes, an older Touji now who lives in a commune of survivors, scraping out a semblance of a life in one of the areas protected by the aforementioned plugs (they had another name but I couldn’t get it).
In this community, Touji is the local doctor--and he’s married with a kid! He married Hikari, and they have an infant daughter named Tsubame.
Now, let’s check in how our main three do when introduced to this relatively normal life they get to enjoy for a few weeks:
Asuka: Still in ‘fight mode’, ready to go at a moment’s notice. How she thinks she’s gonna fight when she has no Eva idk, but for this entire little bit, she’s either naked or in her plugsuit. She stays with Aida Kensuke, who’s kind of the handyman, and is generally just rude af.
Shinji: For 90% of this bit, he’s totally shut off. He’s incredibly fucked up from having JUST watched Kaworu die, essentially because of him, and Asuka has on a DSS choker, and every time he sees it, he collapses and begins vomiting violently. He stays with the Suzuharas at first but is quickly sent to stay with Asuka and Kensuke because they don’t really know how to deal with him. Kensuke manages to get him to open up a little bit, but eventually it’s Rei who gets him started on the path back to being himself. At one point he runs away and ‘lives’ alone for a while in what I think was either the building where he first met Kaworu playing the piano or one that looked a lot like it. He goes out to do odd jobs with Kensuke a lot, and on one occasion he’s taken to an ‘outdoor lab’ where some workers are experimenting with new gardening techniques. It’s here he’s meets...Kaji Ryouji. No, not that Kaji Ryouji. That Kaji DIED. This is the son he had with Misato (named after him).
Rei: Now, let me say I’ve never been super interested in Rei. I didn’t dislike her, like I did Asuka, but I wasn’t really interested in her either. She was just there. Guys.....I LOVED REI IN THIS MOVIE. I would have watched 2.5 hours of the Rei Learns To Be A Human show and been happy for the $20 I paid. Rei spends her time in the commune learning to be an individual. She stays with the Suzuharas and learns what different words mean, like “Good morning” and “Good night” and “Thank you” and “Goodbye”, she gets super close with a bunch of old ladies who essentially adopt her and teach her how to plant turnips and what a bath is, and she becomes her own person. When she first arrives, the Suzuharas think she’s “Ayanami Rei”, but she explains that she isn’t, so they call her “Sokkuri-san” instead (”Miss Spitting Image” essentially), and the old ladies find it amusing at first but then encourage her to choose her own name, and when she can’t think of one, they tell her to have someone choose one for her, so she asks the Uber-Depressed Shinji to choose one. These interactions are what eventually pull him back to himself, but ultimately he’s unable to come up with one, because “Ayanami is Ayanami”. She thanks him for trying anyway, returns his SD player to him..............................and then dissolves into a pile of LCL fluid, as apparently all clones eventually return to LCL. Fantastic, because Shinji didn’t need EVEN MORE TRAUMA.
Somehow, the above doesn’t break Shinji, and he resolves to go back to Wille and face his father I guess?? I’m not entirely clear on why (gotta go read some reports of my own I guess lol). Back on the ship with Misato et al., Shinji isn’t forced to wear a choker but he’s put in a cell with like explosives in it I guess. He starts having visions of Kaworu helping him accept things.
At this point it’s getting close to the climax, and Wille are going after Nerv/Gendo once and for all. During the final fight, Asuka tried to take out Unit 13′s core, and then she’s not managing it, she rips off her eyepatch, and we see that the patch was keeping the 9th angel bound within her eye, so she decides to throw away her humanity and let it take over to destroy Unit 13. Unfortunately, she’s killed in the end--how? She’s approached by a vision of her ‘original’. Yup, Asuka was a clone herself, like Rei, and she turns back into LCL and she and unit 02 are absorbed by Unit 13.
Eventually the fight comes down to Shinji vs. Gendo, who has thrown away his own humanity and bonded with Unit 13 in the hopes of completing the Human Instrumentality Project. He and Shinji go head to head as Shinji summons (???) Unit 01 from inside Unit 13, and there’s a really REALLY WEIRD final fight between the two that involves some weird animation choices. Lots of storyboards and overly CGI’d CGI, and some bits that seem to take them through the different incarnations of the Eva series.
We also get Gendo backstory by the boatload as he and Shinji have an actual goddamn conversation for once. Mari features prominently in Gendo’s flashbacks so she was definitely one of his classmates it seems, who introduced him to Fuyutsuki. I’m still not entirely clear on who she is/was.
However, through this conversation, Shinji gives the people he’s interacted with most closely/been closest with closure I guess? Gendo, Asuka...Kaworu.
So about Kaworu. Their conversation was VERY VERY WEIRD; it’s made clear that Shinji is also now aware of all the different iterations of their meeting. When they talk, it’s set at the beach where they first met in the TV series, and Shinji says he remembers all the times they’ve met before. Shinji mentions that Kaworu reminds him a lot of his father, and then there are some very strange flashbacks (????) of Kaworu’s that I feel like imply he’s to Gendo as Rei is to Yui. At one point, he’s seen talking to Fuyutsuki, trying to decide on a name for himself and settling on ‘Nagisa’ as it means ‘beach’, where the ocean meets the land. Fuyutsuki later addresses Kaworu, who’s sitting in Gendo’s desk, as “Commander Nagisa”. Kaworu reflects to Shinji that he failed so many times to make Shinji happy, but he’s realized now that that’s because he doesn’t know what would make Shinji happy and it was arrogant to think he knew better. He was looking for his own happiness all along.
In the end, after all these goodbyes, Shinji is left with the decision of what to do with, well, reality. He decides, in a conversation with Rei, that he’ll reset everything--create a ‘neon genesis’--to a world without Eva or Angels.
Our last shot is an older Shinji meeting his (presumed??) girlfriend Mari on a train platform. On the opposite platform waiting for their own train are Kaworu, Asuka, and Rei. Shinji and Mari hold hands and run, laughing, from the train station.
NEON GENESIS EVANGELION GOT A HAPPY ENDING. 2021 REALLY BE OUT HERE WILDING.
My final thoughts:
Okay I’ll say it: the fuck with Shinji/Mari endgame? Believe me, it was completely out of left field even in this movie. They just happened to be the only final survivors. Mari flirted a hell of a lot more with ASUKA and was distraught at her death than she did with Shinji. They were a kind of cute couple in the end, but very ?????
I’m disappointed Shinji wasn’t the one to give Kaworu his happiness in the end, after Kaworu spent so long and so many lives and realities trying to make him happy and failing. I’m choosing to believe, since these multiple realities/resets are canon now, that he did it in one of them. They all deserve the happiness of their choosing, not just Shinji’s, and Kaworu showed us time and time again that his happiness definitively involves being with Shinji.
I’m sure I missed a lot, because yanno, Eva, and it was long enough as is, but gosh I wish I could’ve understood more of everything that was going on, cause there was SO MUCH WEIRD SHIT.
If I watch this movie again, I will 500% just be watching those “Rei learns to be human with the help of a bunch of old cackling biddies” bits :> Those were THE BEST PARTS OF THE MOVIE.

Acing it with Love
For Star Wars POC Week 2020
Day 4: Sexuality
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Summary: Commander Tori of the 101st Battalion, who is an asexual, took Ava Lira and Eva Bella Young to the park when they have a deep discussion with an old lady, who shares the same sexuality as the clone commander
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Laying on her bed with a datapad in her hands, Tori was reading over her reports that she made earlier to Admiral Sallis about the Battle of Reza. The casualties counts were less compared to the other battalions, but many of her brothers and sisters were receiving treatment in the med bay, hoping to get back into action.
Her head began to hurt as her eyelids felt heavy, forcing her to put down her datapad beside her. Goodness, I need to get myself some fresh air, she said to herself, rubbing between her eyebrows. I'll go mad if I stay here any longer now.
Lifting herself off from her bunk, she looked in a mirror and adjusted her curly, black locks. Like all the clone troopers that were cloned from Krystal Mereel, Tori had dark skin, buttoned nose and earth-coloured, round eyes, along with a full lips and puffy cheeks, that are often squished by her brothers like Cody as a way to annoy her.
Clones of Jango Fett, on the other hand, have tanned skin and a nose slightly sharper than their sisters, but their sibling-like bonds are much stronger than the pillars that hold every part of the building. Due to Jango and Krystal being siblings through adoption, both male and female soldiers were put together by the Kaminoans to help them get along with each other.
They may tease each other, they may bicker and argue, but they love each other, no matter what. Tori gets along with Cody, who is a few months older than her. From their days as clone cadets, Cody guides Tori and accompanies her whenever she gets sent to the med bay, due to her accident-prone nature. She had lost count of how many casts she has ever worn in her lifetime.
From arm injury to head concussion to even a pelvic fracture that almost cost her service as a commander of the 101st Battalion, somehow, like both her Jedi Generals Ava Lira and Eva Bella Young, who were only 10 years old, Tori had avoided the angel of Death many, many times.
Another brother Tori is close to is Rex, who is much younger than her. She basically acts bossy to him and orders him to do whatever she pleases just for fun, despite his irritation. Ironically though, Rex himself had made Tori wish she could murder him in his sleep and even thought about selling him to the black market just for a pack of two fours.
Of course, Tori does love him dearly, but at the same time, she would roast him with her crude humour and make sarcastic comments about his stupidity and rigidness towards everything, if he understands her perfectly well.
Passing by her comrades underneath her command, they give her a respectful salute, which Tori gestured to them back as she headed outside of the clone barrack and hopped onto her speeder that is parked in her designated spot.
The sky was still bright, with the hot, afternoon sun shining in the horizon, along with the thick, white clouds that resembled cotton candies that Lira and Eva indulged in at a local carnival on Coruscant.
From what she recalled, there were carousels that has horses spun around with a machine, there was a Ferris wheel that took them high above the ground, like a ship, and there were games that could let them win all sorts of prizes, like a black ring that Tori wore on her middle finger, which gives away to everyone that she’s an asexual.
Like her sisters, Tori does have a preference for dark-skinned men who are also tall and handsome, but she doesn’t think about sleeping with them, ever. Instead, she thinks of her man in a romantic way, such as taking her on a picnic beside a lake, or swimming together on a sandy beach.
But that doesn’t stop her from reading erotic literature that Odd Eye recommended to her, though. She enjoys reading from authors such as Vanka Pollak, who wrote Devilish Love, which was about a woman who has an intense love affair with a sex demon that she summoned from hell.
The book was quality writing for her, but in real life, Tori couldn’t feel lust towards strangers she just met at a bar, or even men and women that she knew very well. Her siblings don't insult her or belittle her for lacking sexual attractions, but that doesn’t make her immune to creeps, who don't seem to understand her boundaries she had set.
Stopping in front of the Jedi Temple, Tori stepped inside and took the elevator to the Jedi’s quarters. Noticing drawings of flowers in front of the door, the clone commander gave a knock. “Come in,” a child’s voice replied.
She walked in and found both her Jedi General, Ava Lira and Eva Bella Young, sitting on the floor, playing with their toys. “Tori,” Lira smiled and jumped onto her, prompting her to hold her with both arms.
“Hey, girls,” she greeted, putting Lira down. “How are you?”
“I’m okay,” Eva answered, hugging both of her dolls. “We’re just playing with each other, that’s all.”
“Is that so? Well, I was thinking I could go out with you both, if you’re okay with it,of course.”
“I want to,” Lira cheered, grabbing her backpack on Eva’s bed. “Where are we going?”
"I was thinking maybe we could go together, you know," shrugged Tori.
"Can Buttercup and Stripes come with us?" Eva asked, referring to her stuffed toys.
"Of course, sweetie. Your friends can come with us as well."
The redheaded twins with blue-green, almond-shaped eyes and fair skin yelled happily as they followed Tori to her speeder, sitting beside her.
"I hope both your masters are okay with this,” Tori informed them, driving through the smooth, Coruscanti traffic. “You know how protective they tend to be towards you.”
“They’re both at war right now,” Lira said.
“Oh,” one of her eyebrows raised. “What about General Skywalker and Commander Tano?”
“Same thing.”
Well, that explains why I didn’t see Codes or Rexster this morning. I thought they were hanging out together without me. Then again, I don’t blame them for wanting a guys only hangout. After all, even we ladies do the same as well.
As they arrived at the large public park that is located in the heart of the city, Lira and Eva rushed out of the vehicle and dashed towards the playground, causing Tori to chase after those troublesome twins. “Girls, wait up,” she laughed. “I’m not as fast as you both.”
That was a huge, fat lie. Tori is pretty fast, but only if her life heavily depends on it. Otherwise, she’ll have to catch up with Cody, Rex, and Mayyah whenever they’re on shore leave. Back on Kamino, Tori is the slowest among her batchmates, which was one of the reasons why she’s always in bandages every week.
She reached the playground's bench and saw Lira and Eva playing in the sandbox with their toys while building a sandcastle. Tori felt that the girls were lucky that they got to act like a child. Meanwhile, she had to train from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. in Kamino when she's their age.
The playground was full of kids their age, with some of them playing on the swings, some hanging on the monkey bar, and the rest of them were just scattered everywhere.
Tori noticed their parents were sitting beside her, observing their kid's antics. "Conny, don't stand on that slide," one of the mothers yelled. "You're gonna fall, young man."
Must be one of the overbearing mothers, the commander rolled her eyes as she saw the twins sharing their toys with a little girl, who had purple skin and lekkus. "This is Buttercup," Lira introduced her rag doll. "She is very huggable."
She could only smile as the Twi'lek girl shook hands with Lira, who then introduced her to Eva, who was holding her sister's hand with fear in her eyes.
"Don't worry, Evie," Lira assured her. "She won't bite."
As Eva shook hands with the Twi'lek girl, Tori's lips curved upwards. That is sweet of Lira to introduce her new friends to Evie.
She recalled a time on Kamino when her comrade, Odd Eye, joined her class and was extremely timid and quiet to interact with her batchmates. It was Gowon, who was close to Odd Eye, helped her introduce her to Tori and Wollfe, who wanted to get to know Odd Eye very well. Odd Eye wasn’t an ace like Tori, but she validated her for her sexuality and her cheerful personality.
“I hardly see you around,” a dark, old lady with glasses spoke to her, holding her cane. “Do you always go here?”
Tori has never seen that old lady before, but regardless whether she’s a complete stranger or an old friend from the past, she wouldn’t mind some company anyhow. Though she was warned not to interact with someone she doesn’t know, she felt safe if a woman twice her age decided to talk to her.
“I come here sometimes,” she answered politely. “Usually, I would be fighting in another part of the galaxy or I would hang out with my brothers and sisters.”
“Is it scary for you to be out there, fighting and seeing your own siblings dying around you?”
Tori nodded, frowning. “Yes, ma’am. It is brutal, but we can’t do anything to bring them back, no matter how much you tried to protect them.”
“Do you cry when they die?”
“I do, but I try my best to be strong for the sake of others’, you know.”
“There is nothing with crying,” the old lady gave her the softest smile, which melts Tori’s gentle heart. “You are a person, after all. We all run on emotions and empathy.”
The clone commander was surprised. No one, except for her siblings and Lira and Eva, had ever called her a person, ever. She and the rest of her vods were just properties of the Republic. They were bred on Kamino to fight and die. They weren’t meant to have their own interest outside of war, or even bond with people they met. It shocks her whenever people like Lira and Eva and the old lady tell her that she is a sentient being.
“Is something wrong, sweetie?” the old lady asked, noticing her distress.
“My apologies, ma’am,” Tori replied. “But we clones aren’t people. We were meant to be expendable and replaceable, that’s all.”
“Not to me,” she squeezed her warm hand onto hers, making Tori blinked twice. “You and your comrades risked your lives to protect us from danger. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”
She stuttered for a moment, before she was able to answer. “I’m not fishing for compliments, ma’am. We were just bred that way.”
“You may look the same as the rest of them, but your own personality and quirks is what stands you out. Like for instance, I saw you running with your kids in the park an hour ago.”
Tori chuckled. “I’m not their mother, ma’am. I’m just looking after Lira and Eva while their parents are away for war.”
By Lira and Eva’s parents, she meant General Doyvesky and General Kenobi. She was aware about the twin’s biological mother from what they told her. According to Eva, their mother resembled the twins, but with black, silky hair. The father, on the other hand, was not in the picture at all.
“Doesn’t matter whether you’re related or not,” the old lady laughed. “What matters is the bond that you and the kids had formed together and from what I can tell, they seemed to look at you as their mother figure.”
I would be surprised if that’s the case, Tori said to herself. I’m not as close to them as General Doyvesky and General Kenobi.
“Right, of course, ma’am.”
“You know, I didn’t get your name earlier,” she slapped her own forehead. “What do you call yourself, child?”
“I’m Tori,” the clone introduced herself. “Those girls you were referring to are Lira and Eva Young. It’s a pleasure to meet you, ma’am.”
“You can just call me Grandma, Tori,” the old woman glanced at Tori with her deep, dark eyes, as if she has seen a lot through her whole life. “You have such a beautiful name.”
Before Tori could say something, Lira and Eva ran up to her, holding their toys. “Tori, we’ve made a new friend,” said Lira, pointing at the Twi’lek child, who was with her mother. “Her name is Leta.”
“Well, that’s great,” Tori grinned, turning to the grandma. “Well, it’s been a pleasure to talk to you.”
“Of course, dearie. Let me know if you need anything.”
As Tori bobbed her head and stood up, she noticed the exact same black ring on her wrinkly finger, sparking a curiosity in Tori’s head. “Grandma, where did you get this ring?”
“This ring was given to me by a friend of mine when I came out as an asexual many years ago,” she narrated her story. “It was a proud moment in my life to gain my confidence in my sexuality. I saw that ring on you as well, my dear. Are you proud to be an ace as well?”
Tori smiled, realizing that she isn’t the only one who lacks sexual attraction towards others. All these while, the public sees asexuals as less than a person, causing Tori to doubt herself. But now, she’s not alone, and she felt validated.

Back when Thunderbirds are Go first started, I, like many others, came up with an OC. I am re-introducing that OC here, or trying to, I’m not really good at this kind of thing.
I used to RP with her back in the day, and would like to again, so if anyone is interested, you can find her at @nibenhutracycas which is also her name. Nibenhu Cas, Nibs to her friends, enemies and general people because it’s easier to say (even I’m not entirely too sure how you pronounce it xD)
At the moment she is split between two very different universes. Thunderbirds Are Go and Fallout. I’m gonna try and get an about page done for her at some point. (I know, I should have done that ages ago.)
Here’s a taster.
Thunderbirds Are Go Universe
Tumblr media
Nibs is a Captain working for the GDF under Colonel Casey. She has her own little team, and is also in liaison with International Rescue.
In one Universe she marries Marcus Tracy, a clone of Gordon Tracy/Android and considered a Tracy brother. They manage to have a son together, called Aslan and adopt a little girl, Eva. Lots of time travel is involved. She is best friends with John Tracy.
In other universes where Marcus doesn’t exist, she usually marries/becomes involved with John Tracy.
In all universes she tends to attracts trouble and loves explosions. If there’s an explosion and Nibs was in the vicinity, she probably caused it. She is also a nudist.
Fallout 4 universe.
Tumblr media
Before the war she used to live in Sanctuary Hills, where she found out that her doppelganger Nora lived.
She managed to get a place in the vault where her and Nora were mistaken for each other, this resulted in Nora’s death and Nibs being the one to try and find out what happened to Shaun.
Before the war she also was in the army. Now she just wants to help people and find Shaun, and justice for Nate.
She goes with the brotherhood of steel because it feels a little similar to the army.  Though she soon finds this was probably a mistake.

Supergirl recap: Kara and Lena try to Eve-n the score
Tumblr media
Three separate stories this week track our favorites and our least favorites (hey, Bennie boy) as we race toward the season finale.
First to Alex, who experienced every human emotion tonight. The vicissitudes of aging. The shock of getting a call that a 17-year-old is about to give birth and chose her to be the adoptive mother. The frustration of not being able to reach Kara to talk it out. The terror about what kind of mother she’ll be. The heartbreak of learning that the birth mother changed her mind. The devastation of suffering an emotional wound that may never heal.
By her side for all of it is the kind, patient Kelly, who stands in for Kara, waits with Alex during the labor, assures her that she’ll be a wonderful mother, and comforts her when it falls to pieces. She shares her own heartbreak when her engagement to her sergeant had to remain a secret while they were serving abroad, and how she wasn’t able to mourn her publicly when she died on patrol.
“What’s a deep wound today will be a faded scar someday,” she says, assuring Alex that she will find another person someday who’ll make her smile.
On the human/alien front, Lockwood storms out of his wife’s funeral while George is giving the eulogy, too worked up to focus on anything but putting the full might of the DEO behind capturing the Brevakk who killed his wife and the one who commandeered the airwaves to call for an uprising against the government.
Brainy tries to stop him from invading Lena’s lab, but Lockwood shoots his way in and finds raw, undiluted vials of experimental Harun-El, which gave James his superpowers. Brainy warns him that James’ dosage was carefully calibrated, and what Lockwood’s holding could kill him. “You’re grieving,” Brainy says. “Your son needs you now.”
But Lockwood ignores this advice and grabs the case of Harun-El to join the DEO strike team moving on the building where the Brevakk is hiding. They arrest her, and he orders the other aliens sheltering there to be renditioned for enhanced interrogation for the crime of harboring a murderer.
Brainy is super not cool with any of this, and he’s joined by Dreamer and a mask-less Guardian (I mean, why bother, right?) Lockwood shouts at the DEO to arrest “the hero and the blood traitor.” But Brainy reminds the DEO that they swore an oath to defend the country and the constitution, both of which are being subverted by Lockwood’s orders.
When the agents stand down, a furious Lockwood injects himself with the Harun-El, and I must say, he adapts to it much better than James did, not that it’s a competition. His broken arm is immediately healed, and he and James start throwing trucks at each other, which is awesome.
Martian Manhunter swoops in next and tries to talk Lockwood down, warning that the last man who stood against him suffered a terrible fate of his own making. (Still miss your joie de vivre, Manchester!) At James’s suggestion, he tosses Lockwood into a tanker, which explodes. But that just shreds Lockwood’s shirt and makes him mad. Still, it gives the good guys time to free the detained aliens.
Lockwood cleans himself up and finds George sitting alone in the church, simmering with rage at his father, whom he blames for his mother’s death. “You did this for yourself,” he says. “I hate you.” Lockwood’s left sitting alone, gazing at his wife’s framed photo and cradling a glowing vial of Harun-El as his eyes flip black.
Finally, to Kara and Lena, who are off to Kaznia. Although Kara says it’ll be faster if she flies alone—commercial, she adds—Lena won’t hear of her not riding along on the pilot-less plane she designed herself. But when it’s hit with decidedly unnatural purple lightning (which is never explained, actually), Lena races to the cockpit to take control, shouting at Kara to strap in and put on her oxygen mask.
Nuh uh. Kara zips outside and lifts the plane’s nose away from danger, helping Lena with the manual landing and then racing back to her seat to pretend to have passed out. “God, I hate flying,” she says. I stan one amazing super-lady team!
They find the Kaznian base deserted, with Amertek-branded equipment that was used to torture aliens from the DEO’s desert facility, according to the paper files they find. (Remember, paper is un-hackable.) One of them is Copy, who cloned himself curing the carnival attack.
Then a noise startles them, and a door swings open to reveal Eve. But, like, a weird Eve. She’s bizarrely glad to see Kara and Lena, saying she loves them but she loves Lex more.
Lena orders their very own Eva Braun to talk, and when she does, she spaces out and greets Kara all over again. She claims someone inside the DEO helped them acquire the aliens but won’t say what they want with them. Then the good guys notice claw marks heading to a lab, where they find Harun-El and Kryptonite.
They also find plans indicating that Lex is helping the Kaznians invade America, which Lena compares to a child throwing rocks at a tank. Then Kara notices a sigil, familiar but different, and presses it to fire up Red Daughter’s training footage.
Lena quickly realizes that, just like the Harun-El split Sam and Reign, Supergirl must’ve come in contact with it, too. She’s horrified at the thought of this blank slate being tested, trained, and indoctrinated by Lex in a prison in one of the most repressive regimes in the world. She’s concerned about what kind of damage it could do.
‘She is not an it,” Kara says, insisting there has to be some part of Supergirl in her. Then these two amazing, capable women are taken by surprise when Eve, who’s been acting verrrrry strangely, turns out to have duplicated herself using the Copy powers they were just discussing. C’mon, they’re both smarter than that.
Anyway, Eve sets off a timer that gives them ten minutes until the building self-destructs, and Lena and Kara split up to find the exit, which allows Kara to find Red Daughter’s cell. It’s filled with pictures of Kara and Supergirl both, so now Kara knows that Lex knows!
She also finds a journal, her journal, with a photo of her and Alex. Then Lena calls for her, and she scrambles to keep her friend from discovering all the incriminating evidence on the walls.
She suggests climbing up and out through the air vents, then claims she forgot her tape recorder and runs back to eye-laser all the evidence. Does she not have super-speed? Why did she not do this when Lena approached? Let’s chalk it up to the shock of her discovery and move on.
With four minutes to detonation, they find a file indicating that President Baker’s chief of staff, Sarah Walker, is the mole working with Lex. Kara stays to gather evidence, while Lena chases Eve out the door.
On the plane, Lena—who is the coolest human being in the galaxy and if you don’t agree, you can meet me outside—reaches down to her boot and pulls the chunky heel off to reveal an extendable baton. Then she and Eve fight, with Lena trying to convince her that Lex only loves himself.
Inside, Kara fights off several copies of Eve, cutely quipping, “ Thank you, next,” before she’s hit with the next wave. And look, I’m just gonna say it, she had way more trouble with these copies than she should have. It’s one of those situations where she’s as strong as the plot needs her to be, and in this case, the plot needed her to be inside the building when it exploded so Lena would think she was dead.
That momentary distraction is what Eve needed to stab Lena with her weapon, but oh ho ho, Kara’s recorder was in her pocket, and it deflected the blade. She knocks Eve out, getting her own quip about a snake on a plane. But this was a copy Eve, and she disappears.
Regardless, she’s overjoyed to discover that Kara’s safe but still blames herself for putting her friend in a situation that could’ve killed her.
“It wouldn’t have,” Kara says. While Lena’s back is turned to fuss with champagne, Kara stands and takes off her glasses. IS IT HAPPENING? IS IT???
But no. Lena talks about how hard Eve’s betrayal was, having been lied to every day for a year. “I don’t know if I’ll ever recover from it,” Lena says. In fact, it’s only Kara’s friendship keeping her trust alive.
In the background, Kara slowly puts her glasses back on as all of us weep for the close call. “I’m always going to be here for you,” Kara promises.
Back in National City, Kara tells James all about Red Daughter, pointing out that it easily could’ve been her raised as a weapon. Also, she swears that as soon as Lex is behind bars, she’ll tell Lena the truth, even if she hates her. “It’s the right thing to do.”
Then she’s doing her duty as any American citizen should do when she discovers that a government official is working with a foreign entity determined to hurt the country: She reports it. She’s escorted into the Oval Office, where she notices Kryptonite sitting around as a Supergirl deterrent, and warns Baker that his chief of staff is complicit in working with Lex and the Kaznians.
He sends everyone out of the room, puts the file in a drawer, and confirms that she hasn’t told anyone about the information. Then he activates a button under his desk, and Kara finds a black bag slipped over her head.
Snaps of the cape
Daaang, we knew the president was a no-goodnik, but I was thinking he was more a useful-fool kind of evil and not an active collaborator.
Think the Children of Liberty will react well to Lockwood’s new superpowers? Or will he use his rhetorical gifts to spin it in his favor?
Fun exchange between Dreamer, sporting a cool new braid hairstyle and a huge alien-powered hammer, and the newly fire-proof James: “Now, I’m gonna hit you with this, and we’re gonna see what happens.” “Not in the face.” That’s no doubt when he suggested introducing Lockwood to the tanker truck: Flames would slow him down but not kill him.

I have been rotating this girl in my head since July and I have FINALLY gotten enough spoons together to make an actual sketchdump of her (traditional, because digital stuff has been too many spoons as of late) 🫠 Introducing my newest OC, Dorothea "Theo" Kitt!
If you're thinking, "But Bean, isn't that just show!Eva?", sort of! Theo exists in book!canon WondLa, but, since all the Evas and Evans are clones, I chose to borrow show!Eva's appearance and use that clone model for Theo-- she was initially Eva Six of Sanctuary 602, but our Eva (taking on the surname Kitt post-canon because she got adopted proper :) ) found her as an infant in a sanctuary that was on the verge of shutting down and rescued her, deciding to raise her herself.
In broad strokes because I want to start expanding on all this, Theo is confident and outgoing; she would be punk if that concept ends up being reinvented in the time period Orbona exists in. She's a graffiti artist and a mechanic and her most beloved possession is a motorcycle-styled hovercraft she calls the Flotsam. (I'm still working on finalizing her coat colors, but the gist of it is that it's a Cærulean coat she modified and painted.) Her best friends are a surly Halcyonus named Mælegra (Mæ to her friends but absolutely no one else) with mad scientist tendencies and a Dorcean with anxiety named Bohlaan, who would rather learn textile-making than continue the hunting traditions of his clan. Theo absolutely adores her family and friends, and would do anything for them. Runs in the family!
I really want to work on some more stuff with Theo, so that'll happen at some point :)
please do not repost my art
Bonus: tiny troublemaker-in-the-making

Supergirl - ‘Will the Real Miss Tessmacher Please Stand Up?’ Review
Tumblr media
Brainy: I urge you, follow your heart. Not your orders.
This episode had some very good bits, but it also had a storyline that dragged.
Someone getting stood up at the altar is a standard trope in TV shows. What I’ve never seen before is abandoning your child at a funeral! After last week’s episode, which ended with an alien murdering George Lockwood’s mother, I wondered how the Supergirl writers would keep the young man pro-alien. Well, they found a way. Ben Lockwood’s behavior was so outrageous that even his son accused him of being the catalyst for his mother’s murder, which was absolutely true. If you start beating people (or aliens) up, at some point some of them will defend themselves. And I didn’t think Ben Lockwood’s behavior was out of character. He is, as his son said, a bitter, angry old man.
Lena and Kara working together was fun. The plane that could fly itself dispensed with the need for additional characters, which I suppose is easier on the budget, and meant that Kara could go be Supergirl during the inevitable disaster, in this case a purple lightning storm, which nearly crashes the airplane.
They make their way to Lex’s lair, which has conveniently been left with only Eve Tessmacher to guard it. Except it’s many copies of Miss Tessmacher, thanks to Lex’s siphoning off the powers of the alien Kopy. Miss Tessmacher makes many copies of herself, but the more copies she makes, the stupider they become. As she looks exactly like the stereotypical dumb blonde (despite her character being an accomplished scientist in this series), it’s fun to watch her sputter and splutter. The blue-tipped pain sticks were also fun, as was the time that Lena broke off her heel and pulled out a knife.
The other sequence with lots of action involved Ben Lockwood chasing aliens. He goes to the DEO to get assistance, and with Colonel Haley and Director Danvers both away, no one can stand up to him (although Brainy tries). Ben Lockwood ends up taking the Harun-El to give himself superpowers – which makes him sort of alien, too.
There are some good fight scenes in the action-oriented storylines, with lots of blue-tipped pain sticks, cars being tossed about, Dreamer doing some swirling blue waves, many copies of Miss Tessmacher, James and Brainy, and finally J’onn J’onzz showing up. Cutting between multiple fights is visually interesting, so I thought that was entertaining. However, the only bit of dialogue that resonated was Brainy’s, when he urged the people following Ben Lockwood’s orders to stop.
The visit to the lair in Kaznia is fruitful. Kara and Lena discover plenty, from the torturing being done to aliens to the complicity of someone in the White House. Kara also discovers that Red Daughter may have some good in her. There’s also the great dilemma of whether or not Kara should tell Lena that she’s Supergirl (given that Lex already knows, there’s no practical reason not to tell her).
After the last week’s episode, I was expecting some bonding between Alex Danvers and Kelly Olsen. However, the story for them in this episode felt forced. True, Alex did apply to an adoption agency a while back, but this storyline of “baby coming within the next twenty-four hours” to “baby not coming but being kept by the biological mother” felt unearned – especially as Alex says at the end that she’s so “wounded that she doesn't think she'll ever recover” by its not happening. That’s too much wounding for a baby she didn’t know about two days earlier, especially as she spent the whole time eating chocolate and hyperventilating about how she didn’t know if she was ready to be a mother (all stuff that has been repeated ad nauseam on a million different sitcoms). If she wants more than anything to be a mother, how come she didn’t make any more investment in the process than browsing online for a pram? And given the crisis at the DEO, how come no one from there called her? (That would have shown the work/mother dilemma, which ought to be big for Alex.) Also, Alex gushes how wonderful her mother was; why didn’t she call her when she was about to get a baby? The only consequence of this storyline was that we discovered that Kelly Olsen is also a lesbian, which makes her a potential partner for Alex. I don’t mind Alex and Kelly together, but I did not like this storyline.
Another problem with this episode is that there was nothing between Alex and Kara. The Alex-and-Kara relationship used to be the heart of the show. In this episode Kelly asks Alex what advice Kara would give, and Alex knows Kara well enough to say exactly what she would say – but that’s all we get, and that is not enough. Ever since Alex’s memories of Kara = Supergirl had to be wiped, their relationship has gone missing. Before Kara goes to the White House to get herself captured we see her in a conversation with James. She can confide in James, but not in Alex.
There’s a great tag at the end with Kara/Supergirl getting captured, and our discovering that President Baker is apparently aware of what has been going on in Kaznia. The rot goes all the way to the top.
Title musings: “Will the Real Miss Tessmacher Please Stand Up?” This phrase was the line (well, without "Tessmacher") in a show called To Tell the Truth, in which three people would all claim to be the same person, and where the question was what led to the reveal. (Thanks to Billie Doux for remembering this.) The obvious reference is to all the clones of Eve Tessmacher. But it is also a less obvious reference to Kara/Supergirl, who is not being her real self with respect to Lena and to Alex.
Bits and pieces
Historically Eve’s last name has been Teschmacher, but Amazon has spelled it Tessmacher and IMDb (owned by Amazon) has spelled it both ways. Sigh.
Since they used a similar technique with many copies of Manchester Black a few episodes back, I guess this is something that the special effects team has mastered. Or can do at less expense,
After Lena turned one of her heels into a knife, wouldn’t she be fighting funny? Having one foot in a high heel and the other not makes for an awkward gait.
I liked George Lockwood's story about his mother painting her tooth black.
Quotes
Alex: Must be strange to have a sibling with superpowers.
Ben Lockwood/Agent Liberty: Let’s start with James Olsen because I would like to know how the hell he got superpowers.
Lena: Cut the crap, Eva Braun. You’re a backstabber and a liar.
Kelly: You care too much to fail, Alex.
Alex: What did your scars teach you?
George: I saw you today. Just another bitter, angry man.
Overall Rating
Much of this episode was quite good. I liked the Ben/George Lockwood storylines and the Kara/Lena stuff. Some of the dialogue was a little flat, but the directions of those stories were good. The Alex/Kelly thread, however, was forced and cliché and dragged down the episode. Two and a half out of four blue-tipped pain sticks.
Victoria Grossack loves math, Greek mythology, Jane Austen and great storytelling in many forms.

from which stars have we fallen, to meet each other here?
….is taking a short break while Eva and I recharge and get ready for the next set of updates!
In the meantime, please enjoy the first in a series of planned worldbuilding/background/lore posts about all the work we’ve done for this top-tier rarepair:
Just over a month ago, @aerefyr wrote this Fives/Rabé ficlet that may or may not have made @evaceratops and I yell for weeks, because oh my god have you ever read something so INCREDIBLE in your ENTIRE LIFE? It ended with Fives proposing to Rabé in Mando’a, and the last line really struck a cord with us:
“We will raise warriors.”
So we wondered, if Fives and Rabé had been able to get their happy ending, if we gave them a fix-it, most-everybody-lives AU (which we also have ideas about) - what sort of warriors would they raise?
Meet Kida, a heavy gunner in the 501st, and her younger brother Rohan, Jedi Knight. (Fives doesn’t know which one worries him more and can you really blame him)(also can we take MINUTE to appreciate the CHARACTER DESIGNS by @evaceratops like oh my god)
Kida Bhutia; Lionheart
Around the same age as the Skywalker twins, and is good friends with them
Born with the random blonde hair mutation, just like Rex!
It gradually beomces closer to Rabé’s color as Kida gets older, but she dyes the tips the same blonde - she likes having that connection to her uncle and mentor
In training to become a Republic soldier - more specifically, a heavy gunner, much to Uncle Hardcase’s delight
Rex is in charge of her group of cadets at the Republic Academy, pushes her because she’s half-clone and knows she can take it (he is unofficially/officially her mentor)
Her least favorite words in the entire galaxy are: “Cadet Bhutia! Again!” She hears them a lot. Multiple times, every single day. And they usually mean pain.
HOWEVER, there was That One Time when Rex had to leave for a week or so (to help sort out some mischievous Skywalker twins at the Temple), and Commander Wolffe was his replacement
Inherited her dad’s bravado and penchant to show off at all times
Built like her father and uncles: tall (5’8”), broad, and strong
Is extremely focused and driven to be The Best at everything - she excelled in her classes at school because of this
But she has trouble adapting when plans or orders fall through, has trouble thinking on her feet - until Echo sits her down and talks it through with her
Has gotten into fights about the following things: someone insulted her because she’s half-clone; someone scoffed about how she wears her hair; someone picked on her kid brother
All Fives and her uncles care about is if she wins - which she almost always does
Eventually earns jaig eyes, as bestowed to her by Rex (who also gives her her clone name)
Earns them by saving her brother’s life on the battlefield
Rohan Bhutia; Riptide
Two years younger than Kida, Luke, and Leia
Is usually dragged into elaborate pranks by the Skytwin Terrors and Ezra Bridger, but everyone knows Rohan is not the mastermind
Force-sensitive and in training to become a Jedi; his master is none other than Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano
Essentially adopted by Ahsoka, Anakin, Plo Koon, and Shaak Ti, all of whom would absolutely eviscerate anyone who made Rohan feel less or worse for being half-clone
Takes after his mother - tiny (5’2”!!), gentle, but deceptively lethal
Inherited his father’s short attention span, and hates lessons that are purely lecture or reading based because of this
He needs mental stimulation in order to focus but loves any lessons on Jedi-Sith conflicts
A terrible liar, also like his dad
Padmé gives him his clone name, handing down her nickname from her time as Queen to the next generation
Their parents’ older siblings, whether they are blood-related or not, gave the kids their clone names
Wants everyone to be happy
Is an artist, like uncles Tup and Hardcase (yes, both of whom survive their respective arcs)
Once gave Ahsoka a drawing of the two of them as Master and Padawan before his apprenticeship began and he was like, five years old
Ahsoka had to take a moment to compose herself because he’s just so Good

House of X
House of X #5 takes us back to the beginning of House of X. After the devastating events of the previous issue, it was hard to see a way forward. But now we have a clearer picture of the whole story. A lot of questions are answered and even more remain. With only three issues left in the House of X/Powers of X series, we can start to see what the future holds for the X-Men. Credits and Thoughts Jonathan Hickman and Pepe Larraz continue with this issue of House of X on writing and art respectively. Larraz is excellent with his character design. And he has a lot of characters to draw in this issue. Seeing the vision of Hickman come together is really exciting. Its a must read going forward for any X-Men fan. Its also good for anyone who may want to jump in now as the history and future come together. If you are new to the X-Men, you will probably not catch all the references and details but you can still enjoy the story.

House of X #5 - *SPOILERS* There is a lot going on here. Last issue had seven X-Men killed on a mission to destroy a Mother Mold Sentinel. This AI infused forge would have eventually become Nimrod and wiped out most mutants. With a very intricate plan, Xavier is able to bring back the seven. Five mutants in Krakoa are able to combine their powers to create clones, with Professor X putting their consciousness back psychically. It has all been building to this moment. First Favio Medina has the power to create Golden Eggs made of biological matter. Proteus used his reality warping powers to make the eggs viable. They were then injected with the DNA of each mutant that was lost. This is of course possible thanks to Xavier convincing Sinister to catalog all mutant DNA. Then, Elixir is able to start the process of cellular replication in the eggs. Eva Bell uses her time manipulation to speed things up. But in the end, it is Hope that is able to unify their powers and create the cloned bodies of the fallen X-Men. As they emerge from their eggs, Xavier calls them to himself and implants their consciousness in their minds. Is this ethical? Now this opens up a ton of questions. Like are we, in our essence, just our memories? Can we really say that these duplicates are indeed their former selves, just with a new body? There is also a question about what makes up a person's soul. Hickman seems to say yes, this is Cyclopes, Wolverine, Jean and the rest. They are just resurrected. So now they have rules set in place for resurrecting mutants. They must be confirmed dead. No assuming. And they have yet to agree on the depowered mutants and what to do about that. The goal being to resurrect every mutant killed at Genosha and by other extermination attempts within ten years. On top of the successful resurrection process, Ema Frost has managed to secure Krakoa's sovereignty as a Mutant Nation. And with that, comes the migration of every mutant to a home in Krakoa. This includes Apocalypse and all mutants previously thought of as villains. Wolverine understandably has his doubts about including Apocalypse. But in the end, his goal was always to establish mutant dominance. And with the sovereignty of a nation, and the ability to resurrect any dead mutant, Xavier has done that. I have a theory...
I’ve got a slightly off the wall train of thought about ME:A’s female human squadmate. Though it’s likely to be quickly disproven by canon, and isn’t particularly new news or important... but I find myself contemplating the oddness. To avoid spoilers from the comics or the new games, though it isn’t particularly heavy or beyond what we know prelaunch, I’ve put it in a read more if you’re curious.
So Cora Harper is obviously some sort of relation to Jack Harper. Mass Effect writers love their small coincidences too much for it to be otherwise. It adds up, seeing as a Cerberus and some of it’s private backers would of course throw money at the Andromeda project, Reapers or no Reapers, and the Illusive Man would get his... relation in, because contingency plans were his thing.
There lies my inquiry.
What relation is she to Jack? Is it his daughter? His niece? Adopted? Biological? Is she a clone baby, like Miranda? (Considering Miranda’s psycho dad and Jack were buddies, possible... possible.)
Canon will likely either opt out of answering this for us, or alternatively, lie to us for funsies and elude to other answers. The writers are cool like that. Real answers might come two games in, or as apart of Cora’s romance. I’m not sure, but that’s what I’m suspecting.
There is, however, also the matter of her first name. Cora is suspiciously close to ‘Coré’ as in ‘Eva Coré’, which is just... a whole ‘nother level of crazy. For those of you who don’t know about all the twisty history there, Eva was Jack’s squadmate, when they were freelance or whatever, during the ‘first contact war’. The last we see of her is him carrying her out of Temple Palaven, while she’s barely holding on to life. Eva was very young looking in the comics. Blonde haired, blue eyed.
Now... we often picture Jack Harper with blue eyes, because his cybernetic eyes were glowy blue, and the promotional photo-realistic art gave him blue peepers... but go back and look carefully at the comics.
His eyes are grey. Cora’s eyes are also grey. (maybe.. slightly soft brown in the right light? But def pretty grey...)
They have similar jaw lines, cheeks, mouths, and noses, but different eyes, ears, and hair.
So... she resembles him closely, but some features are different. The platinum blonde hair is a small kink, since Eva’s hair was a rich, yellow blonde. Still though...
There is also the military tradition of referring to your squad mates by their last name.
So if you were Jack Harper, and you were 99% sure Reapers could be controlled, but 1% uncertain it would pan out, and you had access to either a) Lawson’s clone tech, or b) a living Eva Core...
Would you not have a kid, or five, and send one of your progeny out with the Initiative?
I think he would.
So here’s another odd thought. The android body that EDI takes over was an undercover agent, who moved with vastly superior control of that body than she ever displayed. Her hair could become free flowing, her skin had texture and color.
EDI tells us she took the body over, and ‘it struggled’. Uhhh, not exactly the word I would use to describe a VI... and all that control was very precise... better than an AI like EDI? Like maybe it was very finely tuned...
I wonder, if Dr. Eva Coré... was Dr. Eva Coré.
But why an android body? Unless... her real one had been damaged. Like, say, by being slammed against a wall by proto-husk hanging out in Temple Palaven?
So maybe that was Mommy Harper, that EDI ejected to get her new swag sex-bot form?
Maybe Jack used some Lawson tech, his DNA, and samples from Eva’s broken body to make... this surprisingly likable butch chick who is going to fly around Andromeda Galaxy with me for the next several months?
Actually, confession...I kind of wanted to hate her first, regardless of my wild and wandering theories, on Saren and Desolace’s behalf, because anything touched by Harper is probably tainted...
But she’s really nice.
And damnit, I’ll never know her whole canon story unless I romance her in at least one play through.
I gave Miranda a shot, and in the end she turned out fiercely loyal.
#onlyobsessivefanproblems?
Ha... ha ha...
Maybe that’s our final, meta-gaming ‘fuck you’ to the Illusive Man? I took your top agent, and made her like me more. My AI ejected your neural-upload wife, and now that super cool android tech is miiiine. I took your test tube baby, and made her like me more. I stole allllll your crew. (Bitch.)
