it’s sooo important that we remember how much of a dork caleb widogast is. ignore his cha stat he just uses that to threaten people im talking abt the man himself. dude finds a bag of jewels and does a little dance. he gets good news and says ‘that’s a bingo’ out loud in front of other ppl. how many times did someone be vaguely nice to him and he responded by turning “beet red”. his go to response to someone in distress is to hand them his cat, and even then he sits a little bit away and watches to make sure they’re being gentle w him. man is living proof that you can take a wizard and torture him until he becomes a brainwashed murder machine but you can’t make him not a fucking dweeb <3

I am so full of love and light about how the episode ended, getting to see the home the wizards have built together, all the little details of their shared life (Essek wearing and sniffing one of Caleb’s scarves, the farmhouse painting, the couples portrait, the vegetable garden) laid out before us. Matt handing over describing the house to Liam, describing some of the paintings himself but also letting Liam do some too, that collaboration in creating the place their characters live and love in. Laura chiming in too with the dicks on the walls from Jester! XD it feels so lived in and well-loved and it makes my heart so happy.

Caleb's (Liam's?) stress response is to go so still and it's the only reason he didn't get sussed out earlier. Matt out there dropping "I'll track you down with the full might of the Cerberus Assembly" and "flying mage, elderly with long white hair" and all these little poles at his players. No wonder Caleb is so stiff in the beginning, he is constantly deer-in-the-headlights freaking out.
