So meet Butcherbird.

Just realized that instead of coming up with a whole new name, I could just let Butcherbird fully subsume Marvel’s only other Laniidae themed character: Simon “Killer Shrike” Maddicks.

There’s no canon relation between Simon and Arthur “Artie” Maddicks but. I mean I’m already letting The Ultimate Spider-Man’s Vulture be his own character. So you can’t exactly stop me now.

The newest pied butcherbird. Its parents brought it around today to introduce it to me, and the cheese and rolled oats I put out for them.

Anyways, Silly little details that are important to me:

The feathers are from his most common nicknames!! (Darling Crow, Raven, Bluejay, The Shrike/Butcherbird, Magpie, Sparrow)

Nat 20 bc he's lucky. also because he's heavily Victory coded.

Ace of hearts w/ knife - 'Ace' is his pet name for his boyfriend and he did accidentally kill someone via stabbing them in the eye for Racer

The coins numbered 7 are sliver, while the ones numbered 13 are gold, therefore the traditionally 'lucky' number is on the less valuable one and the traditional 'unlucky' number is on the more valuable one!

Dice colors - If the D20 was real it'd actually be clear with gold flakes and numbers, but I was limited by my art style ;-;
