One random fact for each of the main cast
Thor had mutiple pet cats as a child and named each one after their favorite thing for him to feed them. Cod was his pet when his Father died.
Sasappis was that super shy kid who rarely said anything in groups and that people often forgot was there. as a result of this many of his tribe mates would say things around him they would not around others. Needless to say Sass has enjoyed creating drama from a very young age.
Issac was actually Beatrice's second husband. Her first one died in a mysterious hit and run. Issac adopted Beatrice's kids upon marrying her. They are who Hetty was referencing when she included Issac in her "we were all parents" comment.
Hetty: Hetty actually loves the outdoors. She used to watch their gardeners and thought that planting flowers, trimming trees, and even caring for the horses looked like a lot of fun. But she was never allowed to help, as her parents would strictly punish her anytime she or her cloths got dirty. When she became a mother she tried to sneak Thomas into the stables to feed the animals. She stopped after a lamb bit him (not hard) and he became terrified of animals,
Alberta's mom ran out on the family when she and her sister were younger. Her dad has went on to have multiple girlfriends while raising his two daughters, but was never serious about anyone. This did a number on her perception of love and marriage and was part of why she only entered relationships with jerks, who she would not have to spend late nights crying over when they inevitably left her.
Flower canonically has random flash backs o when she was living. When she calls the other ghosts by the wrong name it is usually because they reminded her of someone she used to know and wishes she could introduce them to. Example she thinks Pete would have been great friends with her middle two brother, Dave and Tom, because one was really outdoorsy and the other was a big softy.
Pete: Pete remembers all his teachers from school very well. Most of his yearbook signatures are them telling him what a pleasure he was to have in class.
Trevor started a fantasy football league in his office. IF you got eliminated you had to take a dare from the bro. The dares were brutal.
It is probably a good thing Sam was not around yet to be a part of this, as she had a reputation in school for being someone who could not turn down dares...Well at least until she got dared to ask out this one weird kid in class who took her to a museum exhibit on moldy food and kept asking her if she would ever be willing to eat that. Sam did not enjoy that date
Jay: Jay was totally that kid who when he was little went to school everyday in a superhero costume. When his parents told him he could not wear it anymore/ he grew out of it, he would hide part of the costume in his backpack and carried it around for years afterwards.

Some quotes:
「しゃ…しゃべる猫...!?」
She flushes with embarrassment. "Pardon me, I tend to get carried away when talking about history…"
She puts her face in her hands and sighs heavily, bordering on despairingly. "They are my friends, but…how could they be this stupid?!" — "Grim not having the foresight and being too cocky to anticipate this I could see coming. But the other two…!" She puts her face in her hands again and muffles a faint scream. "Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one in our quartet who does not occasionally just turn my brain off!" She slowly removes her hands and turns her face up to the ceiling, taking several long, deep breaths. "Now…let's try to find a way to fix this. Luckily, I know how men like that 高利貸し operate."
One day at Tokyo international airport, a newly hired businessman named Takahiro Sakurada, returning from his first work overseas, made eye-contact with a very pretty stewardess he remembered from his flight, Hanae…and then proceeded to miss the step-off of his escalator, while trying to steady himself somehow ending up doing some type of a flip before ending up on his back, legs up in the air against a wall, blowing his tie out of his eyes. Upon seeing this, Hanae began laughing uncontrollably nearby. Because of their jobs, they ended up meeting each other like that at airports quite often, and Takahiro eventually asked Hanae out on a date, and the rest is history. Eventually they married and had Tomoe, three years later followed by her younger sister Sachie and three years after that, younger brother Kouta. They ended up deciding on an arrangement where Takahiro would work as normal, just taking less international flights if possible, and Hanae would be a stay-at-home mother with the kids during the school months, and then take up her air stewardess job again during summer vacation, upon which the kids would stay with their paternal grandparents in a small, rural country-side farming village in the mountains. And when they were home with their parents like usual, they lived in a still quite small village right by the sea, and Tomoe, Sachie and Kouta would walk for 20 minutes to get to the train station, and then take a 30-minute train ride to the city where they went to school, then walk for 10 more minutes to reach the school from the train station.
Tomoe had always been a momma's girl, and looked up to her mother a lot. In Tomoe's opinion— and also in the opinion of her father— her mother was the most beautiful woman she'd ever seen. She was also incredibly kind, a hard worker, dependable, patient, accepting and an exceptionally loving mother. She's always wanted to be like her mother. Some of her favorite time with her mother was when they would cook together, . She also has many fond memories of times when Tomoe had forgotten to make lunch, only for her mother to hand her a bento as she was about to rush out the door, or kiss her hands if she got a paper-cut to 'kiss the boo-boo away'. She still did those things even after Tomoe had become an adult, saying she would always be her little girl. It usually made her a little bit bashful the older she got, but she liked it, still being spoiled a bit and treated like a kid by her mom even though she was supposed to be a responsible adult by that point. Her father had always been a little bit eccentric, a bit of a goofball with a love for stereotypical dad jokes, rhymes and wordplay that the whole family always said, but he never quite admitted, was very bad. He's a little bit clumsy, a little bit incomptetent, with a very big heart. As well as a bit of a scatterbrain who can get very worked up about small things, with a tendency to overdramatize, which paired well with her mother's more level head and calm, objective approach to life. Some of Tomoe's fondest memories of him are of him making up very strange reasons to try to scare them into doing things like brushing their teeth or always holding a parent's hand while crossing the road. Once he made up a story that if they're not pulled out, baby teeth eventually have baby teeth of their own, so if Tomoe and her siblings didn't get rid of them their mouths would be covered in tiny itty-bitty teeth. He was however very good at numbers, finance, and money in general, and to try to teach his kids to also be better about it he'd do things like make them sign contracts to go take out the trash in return for ice-cream, and sometimes he'd hide some strange things in the terms and conditions, and when they'd signed it he'd show them the thing he added and tell them that since he's their dad he'll be nice and let them off the hook, but to always be careful and think before signing something, especially if it appears too good to be true. And ALWAYS. READ. C O N T R A C T S.
Tomoe absolutely loves her family, and she and her siblings have always been really close. Her sister Sachie had always been the human firework of the family. She had endless energy and the attention span of a puppy, and their grandfather sometimes joked about not having a remote to turn down her volume. When she found something new she thought was exciting, she devoted her entire life, every single moment to it, lived and breathed it…fooor about a month. After which she found something new and started the process all over again. She had a lot of friends and loved talking to people. And in stark contrast, Kouta had always been the quiet one who preferred spending time to himself. He got tired by social interaction, was the first of the children to ask for his own room, had generally always liked being alone and was quite shy. He didn't speak a lot and had a face that stayed mostly stoic. though he spoke so little, the things he did say were always heard by the rest of the family, and they made sure to always include him, but also give him a choice of whether or not he wanted to join them, and let him know he could change his mind at any time. At family gatherings he usually preferred to sit in a corner listening to something or other on his headphones. He loved their grandmother most of all and usually always clung to her when he was little. He had always loved soccer, and could usually be found practicing by himself. He was part of a nearby soccer team, and whenever his team won a match he'd always blush and smile bashfully. For each child's birthday, they had a tradition of renting a hotel room in Tokyo for a day or two to go shopping, go to a theme park, watch movies or eat sweets and junk food. Since Tomoe's birthday coincides with the New Year— Shōgatsu— during her birthday trip she always chose to go to the biggest Shōgatsu celebration in Tokyo. She loved dressing up in a pretty kimono, eating hanami dango, candied apples and taiyaki, visiting a temple, and having fun with the people she loves. Watching the fireworks, it always felt like they were specifically for her, for her birthday. They'd arrive at around 23:30 on the last day of December, then celebrating the new year, watching the year's first sunrise together, then going to a temple to ring out the old year, then all eat pancakes for breakfast, still wearing their New Year's kimonos with fur lining.
If anyone in the family ever fought with each other, it was usually Tomoe and Sachie, what with how opposite their personalities are. Tomoe had always valued following the rules, being polite, neat and tidy, and being meticulous. And Sachie always just raced off at top speed towards anything she liked and spoke to everyone casually, not caring for rules much and being bad at cleaning up after herself. When it was just Tomoe, Sachie and Kouta, Tomoe was left in charge, and once while they were together at a summer Fireworks festival, Tomoe literally had to tie a ribbon between her and Sachie's wrists to make sure Sachie didn't run away. She got pretty upset about that and was mad at Tomoe almost the entire time, asking why Kouta didn't also have a ribbon on his wrist, and Tomoe replied 'because Kouta is well-behaved'. They fought sometimes, but they never formally made up, since they as siblings knew each other well enough to realize that fighting sometimes was just how things went between them. Well, they only formally made up if the argument they'd gotten in had been bad enough, at the behest of their parents or grandparents. And they always knew the other loved them.
She'd always loved hearing stories about things that happened long, long ago. As a child, she'd often beg her grandfather to tell her stories about when his father and mother both worked as doctors in World War II, and loved listening to her grandmother describe what things were like when she was little. She thought all the old people in her town were so cool because of all the things they knew and how much stuff they'd done over the years, and how much they'd seen which she hadn't. Which is why as soon as she started going to school and learning history, she absolutely fell in love with the entire subject. It boggled her tiny mind that there was so much she didn't know that people had done before she was even born. So many people's stories, all weaving together to form a tapestry of the world. Her history teacher, a half-Japanese, half Mexican man named Mr. Cabello— a large burly man with a full beard— was her favorite teacher, and the clear passion he had for his subject as well as his sense of humor always made her even more interested to keep learning more about history. He was her inspiration for wanting to be a history teacher in the first place.
She was part of a group of a total of four friends, with three other people besides her. When she was 6, on the first day she started school, two girls came up to her to introduce themselves, since they noticed she was alone at recess. Well, more like one of them charged over to her and the other trailed along behind the other one. The one who approached her first was very friendly and held out her hand to introduce herself as Tooru Yamato, and the other as Kaede Okazaki. Kaede and Tooru had known each other their entire lives, since they lived right next to each other, and their families had become friends before they were born. So they were practically raised together, and always went to the same school, ever since the first day of kindergarten. The three of them became friends, with Tooru acting somewhat as the leader, with her very open, unashamed and straightforward personality. But she could become a bit too fired up and eccentric at times, which is when Kaede would pull her away before she embarrassed herself too much. She also had very big plans, but wasn't always very responsible, which Tomoe told her wouldn't do if she really wanted to 'become an astronaut' like she'd always talked about. Kaede was the youngest, born on December 30th at the end of the year, technically 363 days after Tomoe, and was always very laid back and casual about everything, often bringing up funny ideas that she knew Tooru would think sounded awesome and wanna do right that instant, just because she thought seeing Tooru excited was nice. And also kinda funny due to the extreme lengths she'd sometimes go to in order to do those things, all of which Kaede had prevented from becoming even more extreme. And Tomoe was often the ones who scolded them when both of them got a bit too wrapped up in their fun. She was often the voice of reason, but, to her resigned acceptance, 'the baby of the group. All due to her being the shortest and having been really shy as a child when they'd first met, which she'd long since outgrown. But she didn't mind it too much. She just knew it meant they cared a lot about her. Then when they were 12, their school got a transfer student from Tokyo. So they met the final member of their group: Miki Uehara. They started hanging out when one day, Tooru charged over and in her usual loud tone of voice asked Miki an endless barrage of questions, introducing both herself as well as Kaede and Tomoe. Kaede had to rein her in again, and Tomoe apologized for her rudeness. After school that day, since Tomoe was going home with Kaede and Tooru to hang out, they asked if Miki wanted to come with, and Tomoe said they could show her around the city, since she'd only just arrived a day or two ago, and she accepted, acting like she didn't have anything to do anyway. But Tomoe noticed she seemed a bit excited. Miki was a bit of an ice queen with a prickly attitude who always seemed to be looking down on everyone else. She was the type who acted like most things were stupid, but did secretly care. She was very into fashion, following many really expensive fashion magazines religiously, and also loved taking glamour shots of herself, which Tooru and Kaede loved photobombing. Miki acted annoyed, but kept each and every single one. They all made a promise that when in the future they had families of their own— because Tomoe wanted to be a mother and might consider adopting a child on her own if she didn't marry anyone, and Tooru said she was going to adopt at least 5 pets— they would all remain close and let their children play together.
Years passed, and eventually, the time drew closer to the end of High School and her and her friends' graduation. They had all applied to schools they wanted to attend after graduation, and they would receive replies sometime during the break. Tomoe was looking forward to graduating, although it would also feel a bit sad. Their lives would all change forever, and they'd become adults. The end of school was a bittersweet feeling, but they were all looking forward to what the future would bring, and to keep sharing their lives with each other even though they went on separate tracks. Tooru said she was going to be an astronaut, with studying business marketing as a second choice and starting her own marketing company. Miki was going to try to get into a school focused on fashion design and marketing. Kaede was going to take a year off to think about what she wanted to do. And Tomoe— of course— was going to continue her studies of history and anthropology and get a teaching degree. And they all promised to stay in touch, to call and text every day and update each other on what was happening in their lives. And, like they always had, they'd go to summer firework festivals together.
Some miscellaneous info about her:
She's very responsible, and as an oldest sibling, used to being in charge of people less emotionally mature than her. This often makes it so that when she's around someone younger than her, or someone who ACTS younger, she has a tendency to slip into 'mom' mode.
She's VERY smart, though she doesn't often display it openly, as she leans quite heavily into the Japanese societal rules of politeness and humility. But she does have a lot of pride for the fact she always got the best grades in her entire school back at home. She was always at the top of the school rankings grade-wise, and was often asked for help tutoring. She's a very quick thinker in general, and has really good skills of observation and deduction, while not being too proud to have her mind changed and being flexible enough to change her approach quickly when presented with new information. She's also quite the strategist— Zhuge Liang of 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms' fame is one of her biggest idols— and nowadays she's gotten used to no one really being able to beat her at Shogi.
But she's not always the best at working in groups. She's very aware of her own strengths, limits and capablities, and is very careful, being good at changing up her plan last-minute if it calls for it, and often knowing just what to do to make it so. But when something out of her control goes wrong in her plan- which it basically never does since she's so good at quickly changing course- she's not great at dealing with it. So she often prefers doing all the work on her own, even in group projects, because, while it might sound egotistical, she's aware she's often more competent than the people she's grouped with, and knows she could do it all herself. So therefore, needing to leave it to other people whose competency she doesn't always trust is difficult for her. She at least prefers to instruct them on how to do it.
She's always been a person with a love for humanity and for the earth, a positive person who can see the good in everything. And the people around her have always said that seeing her smile happily is a captivating sight. She's the kind of person who sometimes calls people she cares about out of the blue just because she started thinking of them and wanted to hear their voice and speak to them for a while, even if there's nothing she really wants to say. She loves the people in her life a lot.
In her free-time, she practices Kyūdō, or Japanese Archery. The art requires a lot of patience and discipline, and to her it's a sort of meditation, as well.
She also follows the rules of politeness, manners and hospitality as much as she can, being very polite to others. When it comes to other people's manners, if anyone around her gets into trouble for being rude, she will be of the opinion that their rudeness definitely lead to it, and insist they apologize. And if someone she feels some level of authority or responsibility over— like Grim, for example— she will definitely tell them off for being rude right away. But otherwise she mostly lets people behave however they like, so long as it doesn't pose a problem to anyone else.
At NRC:
For her and Irina, I'll be doing breakdowns of what they did during and in-between the books. Includes spoilers for: Books 1-7
On a night like any other, just one week before her High School graduation, she went to sleep like normal, prepared to wake up and go to school the next day like she always had. Her head was swirling with hopes for the future, and of looking forward to seeing her friends again like usual. And the next day after school, she would pick up her siblings from school, and then go home to celebrate Kouta's 12th birthday, Tomoe having a gift for him in her closet that she was excited to give him.
But when she woke up, she wasn't in her futon. She was laying on top of something that was hard, but a little bit too soft to really be called hard. It was like a carpeted floor, or a very thin chair-cushion. When she came to consciousness, her body felt stiff and her back hurt. All she could see in front of her was darkness. She tried to open her eyes, but saw the same thing, so closed them again. In the distance she thought she could hear the muffled sound of someone talking...
But for a while, none of it really seemed real; she was too tired to realize how different it was from when she'd fallen asleep the night before, and her mind was still fuzzy enough that she thought it was a dream. But a light source was suddenly introduced into her small, dark world. The lid had been removed from the box she was laying in. Now when she blinked open her eyes, her sight was filled with the bright glow of blue flames, and the knowledge that the somewhat hard, somewhat soft surface she'd been laying on was the interior of a coffin, its walls laced with a plush velvet.
And then cue the whole Grim business. But, when she went with the Headmage into the hall of mirrors, there was already a commotion, due to the fact that people were talking about a 'magicless student'. There was a very nervous-looking girl with long pink hair standing in front of the mirror, looking like a cornered animal, having literally frozen up in fear.
When Tomoe also eventually went up to the mirror, and it declared her, too, as magicless, the room broke out into further uproar, and Crowley had to make the Housewardens hurry to get their students to their respective dorms.
Tomoe and the girl, whose name was revealed to be 'Irina', spoke with each other and to the Headmage about their homelands, it was discovered the two of them knew of each other's homes, meaning they had to at least be from the same world, ruling out the possibility of either one of them lying about it, since it was obvious they'd never met each other before.
As for all the Books, she generally does what canon Yuu does, but I'll state anything that deviates or is of particular interest.
Book 1
When Ace came to Ramshackle and she found out why he'd been collared, the first thing she did was tell him that it's very rude to just eat something from a communal fridge without asking first. But in the end, she at least agreed to help him make a new tart and come with him to apologize.
Book 2
As soon as they encountered Ruggie, she immediately knew he'd done something, like magic of some kind, knowing food was the one thing Grim would never concede, and so was immediately suspicious of him. While she didn't decide to link Ruggie to the case they were investigating immediately, she certainly pinned him as a possible suspect right away.
Book 3
For a few weeks, Grim ended up becoming quite sick. He'd eaten something long past the expiry date, then a bad cold took advantage of his weakened state. He was forced to mostly stay in bed, meaning it was up to Tomoe to do all the school work for once. She was absolutely ecstatic.
Her and Grim's grades suddenly shot up dramatically, going from the lower brackets to the top 50, landing comfortably at place #5. Tomoe was extremely happy, feeling a sense of peace overcome her she hadn't realized she'd been missing. It almost felt like torture to her to be in any way linked to such a bad grade.
That she got such a massive spike up in her grades during the exam period caused a lot of raised eyebrows. Ace and Deuce ended up asking her if she'd 'made a deal with Azul too'. She had no idea what they were talking about— until anemones suddenly sprouted from their heads.
When Crowley himself asked her if she'd made a deal with Azul to make her grades so good, she was incredibly offended. She, an honest student who'd gotten straight As through her entire school career and was proud of it, would never cheat! The only teacher who really believed her was her favorite teacher, Professor Trein. He was the teacher who got to see the most of just how engaged she always was in class because she'd be one of the few who constantly raised her hand to ask questions, and payed a lot of attention in his class, even while everyone else had fallen asleep around her. Confirmation from him that he at least knew she'd never cheat— him even telling her that he knew she was smart and could do great if she was only given the chance— calmed her down enough to ensure that her coming battle against Azul wasn't fueled by her desire to clear her name.
Not to say she wasn't still very frustrated by the situation.
And after it was all over....
She went up to them and flicked each of them once on the forehead. "I am very disappointed in all three of you. If it was so easy for you to gain access to a study guide, how would it not occur to any of you that many others must also be able to easily access it?! Not to even mention how obviously shady Azul is! If you wanted help studying, you should have just asked me, Riddle, Cater or Trey for help. Or anyone, really!" She sighed. "Thanks to assistance from Leona, Ruggie and Jack we were able to break you free from your contracts and get your magic back. But next time— and I dearly hope there will not be a next time— something like this happens, there is no guarantee that we would be able to. So I want all three of you to promise me that nothing like this will ever happen again." Her eyes bore holes into each of them. "Are we clear?" — "I said 'are we clear?'" Tomoe is not typically someone who gets upset— in fact, it takes a lot to make her truly angry— but when speaking in this situation, her tone was stern, bordering on threatening. She posed an intimidating figure, standing with her hands on her hips looking at the three of them lined up before her with her eyes and brows narrowed in frustration, as though she was looking down at them despite Ace and Deuce being quite a bit taller than her. As well as the fact she was speaking in a louder voice than normal, almost booming, going quite a bit lower than her usual tone of voice. — "Good." She sighed gently and her face and tone of voice returned to normal. "From now on, every other Sunday between 10 and 12 we will have a study session at Ramshackle dorm."
Tomoe ended up becoming a frequent thorn in Azul's side, advising students not to make contracts with him and that if they believed the deal seemed fair, he would find a way to tip it in his favor. The two hate each other. But they also have some respect for the other as academic rivals, and just how closely matched they were in terms of intelligence as well as hard work, waging some manner of silent war with each other all throughout the rest of their time at school. Lawful Good vs. Lawful Evil
And seeing her, to him surprising, ruthlessness in getting his help, Leona gained quite a bit of respect for her as a person after it was all over. In fact they both ended up realizing that, despite the obvious difference in her being so hands-on and his hands-off approach, they were remarkably similar. In Leona, for the first time, she found someone who could keep up with her natural quick-thinking. She actually felt her heart flutter a little when their first chess match against each other resulted in a draw.
And after the events at Mostro Lounge, she 'somehow' seemed to find her way to where he was more often. Or perhaps it was him who just 'happened' to be in places she'd pass by. Maybe a bit of both. They both began to introduce each other to more and more strategic board games, Tomoe to Yoté and Dara, Leona to Shogi and Go, and kept finding their win-lose ratio begin to plateau as soon as the other figured out the rules. It didn't take long before many students were betting on who would win the next match. They may not have been there for the actual games themselves, but it was usually easy to tell who won, lost, or if it was a draw based on the two's respective moods.
It felt refreshing to for once be allowed to go all out against someone and not have to bother thinking about being polite all the time. She was still very polite toward everyone else, of course, but he was a special exception. The two teased each other quite often, too. It seemed that both of them could dish it out, but neither could really take it, huffing and pouting and becoming defensive when the other did it. He made her incredibly frustrated at times, which was a very new experience for her, as she'd never had an equal she could really get upset at without it being for good reason before. With him she didn't always need to be responsible and mature or relied upon. She kinda liked it. He could get under her skin in a way no one else had ever managed to; challenged her in a way she'd never realized she craved.
And as for his side of things, she had a lot more patience with him than most people did. She treated him just like she would anyone else. She wasn't afraid to call him out on it when he acted out of turn, and stuck by him even when he did, but otherwise didn't mind his grouchy, callous way of acting, sometimes even teasing him for 'acting like a grumpy cat'. Eventually it became commonplace to see her sitting under a tree while Leona used her lap as a pillow, Tomoe turning the pages of a book laid on the grass with one hand and using the other to play with his hair. And, knowing how much it hurt her that no one in Twisted Wonderland knew anything about Earth history and she thus couldn't talk about it with anyone, he let her basically infodump to him about it whenever she wanted— so long as she kept playing with his hair, of course. He always acted like he was asleep, but really, he listened. And she knew he did. And he probably knew that she knew. But they didn't say anything about it. For once, they didn't need to.
And Leona actually ended up making her more open to being a bit less hands-on, learning to delegate and to trust they were competent enough to handle themselves. And she in turn encouraged him to become more involved in the activities of his Dorm where it was needed, such as cracking down on Savannaclaw students' frequent starting of fights.
She can also tend to overwork herself sometimes, so Leona forcefully pulling her away to take a nap was exactly what she needed. And Leona having been the one at fault also gave her some kind of excuse for why she was 'slacking off'. And when Cheka visited, she was more than happy to take over Leona's responsibility of babysitting him; she'd always loved kids and had a very motherly personality, and the little lion's eyes always lit up when he begged her to tell him another story. ...Though Leona did become a little bit jealous of her spending so much time away from him when Cheka visited, so he often ended up joining in on their activities anyway.
Book 4
She knew what was up basically as soon as she heard Jamil refer to her and Grim as having helped other dorms.
Book 5
She was one of the few who actually liked Vil's diet, always having liked vegetables and healthy food. Not to mention it felt nice to have the whole 'food' situation handled. She was happy that Irina, who insisted on cooking for her and Grim a lot got to take a break from it too, even if she noticed irina seemed to be quite anxious about it. Irina seemed quite anxious in general to suddenly have so many new people living at Ramshackle, and Tomoe thought she seemed to really miss the quiet of the Dorm.
And when Vil ended up finding out just how good Tomoe's grades were, but that Ace, Deuce and Grim's grades were still that bad... He lost a little bit of hope in humanity.
Book 6
She went after Grim. The whole incident made her realize just how important Grim had become to her in such a short time; she felt like a mother who'd lost her child. She was worried for the others too, especially Leona, but she knew they could handle themselves. It also made her realize that...she was probably going to end up staying in Twisted Wonderland. If she went back home, she'd most likely be 'that one mysterious disappearance case who turned up again' for the rest of her life. Not to mention that she'd be the only one who knew what had happened in the months she'd been gone; no one else would ever believe her. And she knew that her friends and family had each other. But Grim only really had her. And she wasn't going to just leave him.
And after the events of this Book... She has nothing against him personally, and knows he didn't exactly have much of a choice in what happened, but she can't help but not like Idia especially much. She just associated him with her friends being injured, her Dorm destroyed and what is bacially her son being kidnapped. She's always been very open-minded and believes in forgiveness if the other person has owned up to and endevoured to change their behavior or weren't even entirely at fault in the first place. And she'd even admit that she thinks they could potentially become friends, as she also likes video games a fair bit. But as of right now, the wound is still too fresh.
Book 7
I have not yet read Book 7, though I've been able to surmise basically what the main plot is.
She is asleep. She dreams of some strange, fanfiction-esque alternate reality: a historical Japanese setting based off the media she'd engaged with of the Muromachi period. Everyone she's met from Twisted Wonderland is there, as is her family and friends from back home, and she's the Samurai/Strategist/closest companion/lover of Leona, who's here the second son to the Emperor and breaks away from the Imperial family and starts a war to win personal status. She knew she couldn't persuade him it was a bad idea, so instead she decided to just do everything she could to make sure their war went smoothly.
But she's always been more interested in the lives of historical people in general, whether they be Priests or Warlords or Commoners or Emperors, than she has in the actual bloody side of warfare. So the dream barely actually shows any of the 'war' parts, seeming to be mostly just in a lull period where preparations are still being made, but the war has already broken out. And when it does show combat, there's way more of an emphasis on the strategy.

And on the topic of me technically having 2 'Yuu's, here is which events Tomoe would go to. If there is a Story Event not on this list, assume Irina went:

What if Xavier's father showed up to parents weekend? maybe he's not nice to his son and reader say something? Or vice versa
This has been in my wips for so long! I miss writing/reading about Xavier...
p.s. I didn't plan on making this 1.4k, but it happened

Being the son of world-famous psychic Vincent Thorpe had its perks and many downs.
Getting a lot of toys to play with as a child and living in a big house sounded like a dream, but for the rest, there was nothing to envy. Since he could remember, Xavier always had high standards to reach. He was expected to have the greatest grades and to be on top of all of his classes, always be on his best behavior, speak nothing but highly of his father and mostly, not taint his father's reputation in any way shape or form.
Like any little kid, Xavier admired and looked up to his father. Being world-famous made him sound so cool to his young eyes. But that idolization changed with time. Xavier realized that nothing he does will ever be enough for him. His grades — although considered excellent — will never be good enough to his father’s eyes. He’ll always disappoint him.
As a parent, Vincent Thorpe wasn’t so cool. Xavier always had to fight to get his father's attention. Instead of congratulating him on a test he got an above average grade, Vincent would tell him to work harder next time. He never came to his school plays or other events — unless it gave him an occasion to brag about himself. He never sat down long enough to recognize the talent Xavier had for art or comforted him after his mother lost her battle to cancer at the hospital.
When his powers began to show, people expected Xavier to be as great as his father. Unfortunately, his psychic powers were not as impressive. All he could do was bring his art to life.
He also had occasional dreams that predict the future, but those were more on the scary side — nightmares.
Beneath the balustrade Xavier was standing by, the quad was filled with parents and families greeting and hugging their children. He remembered his first year at Nevermore. He had waited all day for his father to show up on Parents Weekend, convinced he would come visit him like the other parents only to end up crying in his bed because he was the only kid whose parents weren't present.
That day put a further strain to their relationship. The next year, Xavier didn't bother waiting for his father. Nor the year after.
‘’Not sure how much of this family togetherness I can take,’’ Xavier said when you joined him.
‘’Guessing your dad’s a no-show again this year?’’
He nodded, looking down at the crowd of parents with sadness. ‘’Yeah. He hasn’t show his face since I started here.’’
Parents Weekend was Xavier’s least favorite Nevermore event. It was just a painful reminder that his father didn't care enough about him to show up. The man preferred to be on tour and hear a crowd applaud him than spend a day with his only son. Xavier acted like it didn't bother him, but he was deeply hurt.
‘’Shouldn’t you be with your mom and brother?’’
You shook your head. ‘’My mom texted me last night saying she couldn’t make it, she caught a nasty cold and doesn’t want to spread her sickness. That means we can spend the day together.’’ You smiled and kissed him sweetly.
Xavier smiled a half smile against your lips.
‘’We can go into town if you want? Get coffee and—’’
‘’Xavier,’’ the gravelly voice of a man called behind you, rudely interrupting.
You looked over your shoulder, eyes falling on a tall man wearing a long coat cleared. He had a haughty posture and the same green eyes you loved to stare into.
Beside you, Xavier looked like he had seen a ghost — and he might as well have. After years of no-show, his father decided to show up.
‘’D-dad.’’ The young psychic quickly composed himself, straightening up and fixing his posture before his father could point it out.
The exchange was strange and cold. From your viewing point, it seemed uncomfortable.
You subtly rested a hand on the small of Xavier’s back, standing close so his father wouldn’t notice. A way of telling him ‘I’m here’. ‘’Welcome to Nevermore Academy, Mr. Thorpe,’’ you politely greeted, forcing a welcoming smile.
The man completely — and rudely — ignored you, which only added a point to the lengthy list of reasons why you hated Vincent Thorpe. He might be famous, but it didn’t give him the right to be rude to people.
‘’I didn't know you would be coming.’’ Xavier shifted, absentmindedly leaning into your touch.
‘’It was a last minute decision. I was on a flight back from Paris when my personal assistant forwarded me that Principal Weems had invited me to Nevermore's Parents Weekend. My tour is on break for a few days. Why not surprise my son and pay him a visit.’’
Xavier huffed a dry laugh. ‘’So you came here because you had nothing better to do? I’m just a way to fill empty spaces in your schedule?’’
Vincent stared down at his son, then corrected him. ‘’That’s not what I said.’’
‘’But it sounded like it,’’ you said, coming to Xavier’s defense. It wasn’t your place to speak up, but you knew Xavier wouldn’t stand up to his father. ‘’I understand that you are a career oriented person, Mr. Thorpe, but children shouldn’t fill empty spaces in a parent’s schedule. A good parent make space for them in their schedule, cares and listen to them instead of booking appointments with a therapist by fear a bad word under their name ends in the tabloids, calls to take news instead of having their assistant send an email and show up to their school events.’’
Words kept spilling out of your mouth, firing examples of Vincent’s shitty parenting. You could’ve kept going for longer, but some things were too personal to bring up where people could hear.
Like the reason Xavier started going on nightly runs. He didn’t start running out of pleasure; his father had forced him to lose weight because ‘having a fat son wouldn't be good for his image’. Or why he enrolled him at Nevermore Academy. It wasn’t just because it was a school for outcasts. The academy allowed him to focus on his career and touring the world. So instead of putting his career on hold and becoming the parent he knew that Xavier really needed him to be, he sent him to Nevermore instead.
In Vincent Thorpe’s mind, parenting was a chore. He had planned to leave all the parenting to his wife while he focused all his attention on his career, but life had other plans for her and took her away, leaving him with a son he didn’t care enough about to make room for in his professional life.
Before you, the tall man’s face twisted, immediately taking offense. ‘’How dare you speak to me with that tone. Do you know who you are speaking to, young lady?’’
It should have made you feel small, but you weren’t intimidated by him. To your eyes, he was just a man.
‘’I do, and I do not care. Being famous does not give you the right to treat your son like a forgotten toy on a shelf that you only spare a glance at and remembers exists every couple of months. Xavier should be your priority, but he’s not. All you see and care about is the tabloids and if a bad word about you or your name gets out, not if your son had a bad day or if he won his fencing duel.’’
Vincent drew his eyebrows, shifting his gaze to his son. ‘’Fencing? Xavier doesn’t do fencing.’’
‘’Yeah, I do,’’ Xavier replied. ‘’I told you in an email two years ago, but you probably had your assistant read it for you like you do with all of my emails.’’
‘’I don’t—’’
‘’Yes, you do!’’
A few heads in the quad had looked up at the loudness of Xavier's tone, catching their attention.
Mr. Thorpe's jaw tensed, shooting a quick look beneath the balcony. ‘’Xavier, please lower your voice,’’ he hissed, more worried about the possible gossip than Xavier’s anger toward him. ‘’Have you been seeing Dr. Kinbott? I thought she was helping you with your anger issues. Do you want me to call her?’’
How dared he talk about Xavier anger issues? He wouldn't have anger issues if he wasn't such a shit father. Couldn’t he see that it was him who put him into this state?
‘’I...I think it’s better if we just don’t do this family thing today,’’ Xavier decided, his voice much calmer. ‘’I can’t spend more time in your presence.’’
‘’But I came all the way here?’’
Xavier shrugged, giving him a tight lipped smile. ‘’I’m sure you’ll find people to kiss your feet and flatter your ego. I’m done.’' he said before walking away, leaving you and his father behind.
''Xavier!'' Vincent called after his son, but Xavier didn't look back.

The prefect of Ramshackle Dorm and Grim's best friend who can "understand him every time" (according to him). A curious, calm and observant girl, she always tries her best to adapt to Twisted Wonderland every day coming from a world where no magic exists. Once she goes past her initially nervous, meek manner, she's actually a really kind, friendly and supportive girl who would do anything for her friends.
❤️ Trivia ❤️
Mary's last name means "Wonder" in French. This could be a pun for the word "Wonderland" and also connected to Twisted Wonderland.
Mary's first name is a reference to Mary-Ann - a character in the Slave Labor Graphics Wonderland series who helps the White Rabbit escape from the Queen of Hearts's execution. She is known for being White Rabbit's maid and is obsessed with cleanliness, in the comic, she said that "all she really wants is to be [herself]".
She loves all genres of music and can easily like a song if it catches her attention. She also loves classical music, it's one of the reasons why she occasionally drops by Mostro Lounge.
She always carries the Ghost Camera with her in case she needs to use it, because of this she grows to like taking photos of other people or scenery.
Her favorite color is red, and her favorite shape is 4-petal flower. She considers the shape as her lucky charm and is shown to have accessories in the said shape.
She likes to spoil Grim a lot despite his attitude, as she always dreamed of owning a cat pet back when she was in her homeland as her family didn't allow her house to have pets. However, if Grim goes too far with his actions then she'll be there to quickly stop him.
She might appear like that but once she gets very serious or angry then she can look decently scary enough to other people (especially Grim).
Before Book 5, she kept her appearance very simple and did not dress up much as she often appeared meek or a bit brooding due to the pressure of being in another world with no hesitation (as seen in the reference sheet). Turns out, she loves cute and girly things a lot and would like to make herself look cuter, but due to confidence issues she had in the past to the present it gives her a hard time until after Book 4's timeline when she decides to change her appearance completely, making her appears more girly and truer to herself more.
She has a talent for music, specifically musical memory as she can remember a song or a melody quickly and retain that for a long time in her head. She also likes singing or dancing in her free time and would often dance with Grim and the ghosts in her dorm.
According to Mary, her family consists of her parents and 2 older siblings and she lives with them, although her brother and father go out to work often and don't stay at home much and her sister is focusing on her schoolwork at the current moment, it's mostly just her and her mom at home half the time.
She doesn't have great stamina, as she often got left behind during her PE class back in her homeland's school, it's also one of the reasons why she got insecure about herself overall and chose to not be overly bright in anything she did.
She cherishes her friends a lot despite their weird antics at times, she thinks that's what them special and unique from other people. (Namely, Grim, Ace and Deuce)
Because she went to beaches with her family a lot back then, she has a good surfing skill and can also be good at playing beach volleyball, though she often gets tired easily and has to sit back to watch her siblings play the rest of the match.
She specifically dislikes dirty rooms or things that are dusty and often cleans her stuff and makes sure they stay tidy; this is mostly a reference to the Mary-Ann character; however Mary is not obsessed with cleanliness too much and can still have patience and calmness when facing dusty stuff.
She also likes cleaning and doing chores as she often helps out her parents with it back at home despite her short stamina. All the dorm's chores are done by her with the help of Grim (sometimes he does help too) and the ghosts.
Hi hi~ If you're reading this then first of all, thank you so much for reading until the very end! I decided to design my MC/Yuusona - Mary! I have a fun time designing her ngl, she looks really cute~ I'll post even more OC content in the future too so please look forward to it! 🌹❤️

Broken Slumber (1/?)
/==/
A mare is a malicious entity that walks on people's chests while they sleep, bringing on nightmares. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mare_(folklore))
(A/N - As I looked further into it Nightmares, which are also known as Mare or Mora. These are all beings that cause bad dreams, and sleep paralysis while draining the lifeforce/vitality of their victims. So this story will cover a generalization of all those entities.)
/==/
Jaune was exhausted. The trip to Vale had been more arduous that he had expected. Yet, it had been necessary. It was an act of rebellion against the gilded cage his family subjected him to. While his sisters adored and doted upon him... his parents were another matter. It had been in his fifteenth year that his... nature had been revealed to him.
The reason behind him having to sleep in a well lite room. The reason why his favorite tree with the knotted and entwined branches, that loved to climb into was cut down. He and his twin had suffered VTS, or Vanishing Twin Syndrome. He had a potential brother or sister that had died in his mother's womb, and had been reabsorbed by him.
It was a rather macabre and frank talk with his parents, but that was not the end of the conversation. Jaune's mother Jasmine was a believer in the old stories. Often decorating the home with talismans designed to repel malevolent entities. In fact Jaune's room was cluttered with the homemade things.
Jasmine informed her only son that he had been born cursed circumstances. That was a statement Jaune had found very odd, but she had continued, much to jaune's and his father, Nicholas' displeasure. Jasmine explained that under normal conditions such a curse would have twisted Jaune into a werewolf. That was an idea that jaune found completely laughable. Werewolves, vampires, ghosts! Those were all fiction!
Jasmine undeterred, by her only son's lack of belief, continued...
"The death of your twin has cursed you in another way." Jasmine explained. "Unlike most males, for some reason you now to the spirit realms are seen as a female."
"Bullshit!" Jaune yelled at his mom. "That's utter fucking bullshit!"
"Jaune, don't speak to your mother like that!" admonished his father.
"You don't believe this crap do you dada?" Jaune asked. "Spirits, ghosts! I could have been a werewolf?"
"Jaune, whether I believe or not, is not the point."
"Really? REALLY?" Jaune yelled.
"Strange things happen around you and with you Jaune." Nicholas informed his son. "Things that can not be explained."
"Is that why I have to sleep with the lights on? Why I have all this junk hanging around my room? you know how embarrassing it is to have a potential friend over and them to see this shit!"
"Jaune, you need to listen and be on guard. You are not responsible for the circumstances of your birth, BUT they are affecting you!" Jasmine pleaded with her son, trying to get him to understand, or at least listen.
Jaune scoffed and before his parents could stop him he stormed off. Disappearing into the vast family home, and eventually sneaking out and into the barn. It was out there hidden from his family, he spent a restless night, and made his plan. He was going to leave. Make his way to Vale and out from under his family's unrelenting observations.
"It took three years, but I did it." Jaune commented to himself, as he secured himself a cheap motel room. Jaune felt somewhat guilty to run as he did, but he also felt vindicated, and finally free.
The trip to Vale had been twisted, convoluted, and took much longer that he had originally anticipated. Though it had worked in his favor, or at least he assumed it did. But he was also nagged by the... occurrences that followed him during the whole trip. Animals being wary of him. Some of his travelling companions waking up utterly drained and listless. Whispers of bad dreams, and nightmare afflicting those around him.
But he pushed those thoughts from his mind. They were just... coincidences. Nothing more. The drivel his mother believed in was pure fantasy. Nothing more. Taking a deep breath he sat down the bed nearest the door of his cheap room. He needed a plan. His meager savings wouldn't last forever, he need a way to support himself.
"There's not much I can do, but look for a job." Jaune mumbled to himself, and then sighed, as he realized that he wouldn't have many options for work. With his age and lack of formal education in any of the career paths that would best allow him to support himself.
Rising from the bed, he left his room. He would need a couple of things before starting his job search. A newspaper, and a new sim-card for his scroll. The scroll that he hadn't used in weeks, out of paranoia that his family would try and trace it.
An hour or so later, Jaune returned to his pitiful lodgings. A rolled up paper under his arm, and his freshly reactivated scroll in his hands. Prior to swapping the sims, he did text his mother. Letting her know he was safe, and guiltily informing her, that he was in Vale. He couldn't help adding that. As much as his mother's beliefs b othered him, she still loved him, and deserved to know why he was safe.
Before they could send a reply, he swapped the cards, and activated his new number. He still had their contacts, and would reach out to them again once he proved he could take care of himself, and that their worries were unfounded. Sitting down on the edge of the bed nearest the door, Jaune began his search for employment.
As Jaune was beginning his employment search, a small meeting was being held at Beacon, in the headmaster's office.
"So with the particulars of applicants and the format of this initiation settled, let's move on to other business." Ozpin informed Glynda, his Deputy Headmistress. "I understand we have a few staff positions to fill?"
"We do." Glynda replied. "The maintenance staff would like some additional staff. Preferably apprentices. As well Mrs. Primrose has requested some assistance with the library."
"Let's reach out to the trade schools, about the apprentices, as for the library... did she have any specific requirements for the position?"
"Just that they should be energetic, driven and love to read." Glynda replied, "She feels that someone interested in literature and books would be an overall better asset."
"Okay, then let's issue a general request for applications. She can help with the screening process."
"Should we specify and closing date?"
"A week?"
"That should be sufficient." Glynda answered. "I'll draft an advertisement and have Mrs. Primrose review it prior to posting it publicly."
"Alright. If there is nothing else, I would say we're done for the day."
While the meeting at Beacon was wrapping up, Jaune tired from scanning job postings, and want ads, tossed the paper and his scroll onto the second bed, before laying down and getting comfortable. He was tired, and wanted to have a bit of a rest, before getting something to eat.
Jaune's eyes closed, and his breathing grew relaxed and steady. Sleep had overtaken him. Time slowly ticked by, and as Jaune's slumber deepened, a slight misty form arose from him. It floated away from the bed, solidifying slightly, but still very much misty in overall composition.
The apparition moved further from the bed, and Jaune's sleeping form, it's featured solidifying further, until to an casual observer a more feminine version of the resting young man was standing at the window of the cheap apartment. It paused there, as if silently consider some choice, before floating forward and vanishing through the wall.

GitS Asks!

I figured we were going to go the "are you my daddy?" route, but still I'm genuinely surprised that the boys, especially Donnie, haven't even considered that Ghost might be an alternate universe Donatello. I understand that they arent aware of the existence of alternate universes, but Donnie has done research and has a whole cork board dedicated to the subject, WITH PHOTOGRAPHS of three different iterations of the turtle's, all of whom bare a surprising resemblance to Ghost! At least, more so than the Rise!Turts anyways. Meanwhile, Ghost is a mutant turtle who wasn't created by Draxum, is practically a genetic clone of Donnie, is trained in ninjutsu, has a super genius iq, wields a bo staff, wears a purple mask, has brothers who are very similar to the boys, a mutant rat for a father, and was separated by his family in a way that requires a special portal machine to get back to them. Honestly, the fact that Ghost can only return to his family via portal machine should have been a big clue. Like, why is a portal the only way for him to go home? Where on earth is his home if no traditional travel methods can get him back there?
Pizza Pit hasn't happened yet, so Donnie actually hasn't done research with photographs of the different turtle iterations! And keep in mind that Donnie felt like he was copying Ghost. Everyone but Ghost thought that Donnie was just modelling himself after Ghost because they're both intelligent. Favorite color purple? Well he might as well try out a bo staff since that's what Ghost has...
Donnie was aware of a parallel dimension as an option, but he saw Ghost being his dad as more likely. His next best theory is that he's an alien of some kind. Or at least from a different planet, even if he was created on Earth.

GITS: Do you have any plans on reuniting Ghost and the boys with the rest of the 2003 turtles? Maybe in a "they're here now (Rise verse), they're looking for him (Ghost)" possibly after the Kraang situation (once they've grown)??
Spoilers! :) I promise a happy ending. What that means, I cannot say.

Sorry for the weird ask but I saw a episode of bluey called rain the other day and the relationship between the mom and bluey really reminded me of ghost
I don't/haven't watched Bluey but I appreciate you thinking of Ghost when you're watching other stuff! I hope people who know enjoy the parallel :D

At this point the feeling of being pulled in two different directions is so strong I feel like the best case/least painful solution is having some sorta inter-reality doorway that could allow back-and-forth between Ghost’s world and Rise, kinda like how the dimensions in 03 work with the Battle Nexus. I know it’s unlikely, but I’m in denial and will take comfort in the absurd mental image of being able to do ridiculous things like traveling to another reality to borrow a cup of sugar
The 03 Turtles knocking on the interdimensional doorway "hey guys yeah can we have some sugar because the methodical destruction of all but small patches of plant-life on our planet making everything uninhabitable has made it difficult to get some."

OH MY GOSH THE LAST CHAPTER OF GITS HAS TURNED ME INTO A PUDDLE OF EMOTIONAL JELLY!!! THANK YOU!!! Question time: you said previously that Ghost’s colour pallet was going to change to match the rise one at some point. I assumed that it was going to be because of his mutation from getting stung, but the whole ‘being filled with bright neon colours thing’ and feeling more at home and like he has a place in the Rise world in the last chapter is making me think that it’s going to be triggered by emotions instead. Are the boys going to notice? Will it be commented on? I cannot wait to see Ghost’s reaction!! Also, I’m assuming that when his colour pallet changes the effect of physics upon him will also - I cannot wait to see Ghost get hit hard and then be like ‘I’M FINE??? WHY AM I FINE???’.
Spoilers! But I promise it'll be mentioned more blatantly in the story when it does happen.

I LOVED the last chapter of GITS!! A big difference between the 2003 TMNT and Rise is that the 2003 turtles are not biologically related to Splinter in any way, and they possibly aren’t biologically related to each other either. They are just four turtles and a rat that happened to be in the right place at the right time to get mutated. Splinter became their father because he CHOSE to be. They are a family through CHOICE. I love that you are carrying that on into GITS!! Biological relation doesn’t matter to Ghost - why would it? It’s a legacy of love he is passing on to the Rise boys, and I think it’s beautiful.
For 2003 it's very likely that they're biologically brothers, because they were sold at the same time from the same pet store, likely from the same tank. They were probably a part of the same clutch! But Splinter taking them in definitely taught them that choosing is important. Knowing April and Casey, meeting the rest of their friends, the turtles know. They know what it means to choose family. Biological relation has never mattered to Ghost. Even if his brothers weren't biologically related to him at all, he would still feel the same about them.
It's kind of why Ghost doesn't understand Rise Splinter well. Why would he choose to take in these kids when he acts like he doesn't want them half the time?

stuck on the idea for months that like even if in canon sainw is happening in live time while ghost’s with his kids what if his brothers just show up one day as teenagers and are like “we’re so sorry it took us so many months to get here we fought to find you with every second of the day” and ghost’s just there like “IM IN MY F O R T I E S WHAT ON EARTH DO YOU MEAN MONTHS” and that’s how everyone discovers that the rottmnt dimension moves time at rocket speed in comparison to 2k3
Oh man THAT would be a fun AU. Dang. Oof. Ouchie.

Referencing the GITS ask about 16 yr old 2003 Donnie finding newly mutated Splinter and Turtle Tots; what would change for Splinter? He suddenly has this 16 year old to deal with that’s expecting him to be amazing and wise to go along with horribly mutating into a rat and massive amounts of trauma. Would having 03 Donnie there help, or make things worse for Splinter? Would Splinter give in to his depression and mental health issues earlier because 03 Donnie is there to watch the babies? Does he feel the need to parent 03 Donnie? Does the fact that 03 Donnie has gone through some traumatic experiences make Splinter more determined not to train the Rise boys or convince him that they need training for their own protection when they are old enough? Also does Rise Donnie get given a different name because 03 Donnie is there? If he gets given his cannon name, what do the Rise babies call 03 Donnie when they start to speak? (Sorry this has so many questions - this idea kidnapped my brain and wouldn’t give it back)
I imagine Lou (because he is still Lou at this point) would feel responsible for Don as well. Don is scared, he just got separated from his family, he's been through shit. Don calls his dad "sensei" or "father" or "Master Splinter", so Lou wouldn't use Splinter as a nickname. Don would also be talking about his brothers. This boy spills everything instantly. Lou immediately knows everything about their lives. He doesn't tell Don about his, because he's still just a kid. He's younger than Lou was when he left home to be a movie star.
Don being there would help and make things worse. On one hand, Lou feels guilty for the days he can't help Don, and it feels like Don's doing everything on his own. Don helps look after the kids, he helps fix up the lair, he helps set up security, he's working on his portal. He just works all the time. The only way Lou can get him to stop is if he asks him to watch the kids. And it does sort of let his depression seep in a little faster, because he's got someone covering for him.
He still parents Don. Tries to take care of him, tries to teach him. Don is the one who approaches him asking for training, because he's been doing it his whole life, and he enjoys it. It gives him a way to let out energy when his mind is tired and he wants to rest it. It reminds him of his family, makes him feel closer to them. He still goes out to do patrols every night, still saves people in trouble as quietly as he can. Lou worries about him, but he can hardly stop him from doing what he wants. He isn't Don's father. It makes him more determined not to train the little ones, but they'll end up mimicking Don, wanting to know what he's doing. Don ends up teaching them little things. Lou and Don probably get into a big argument about it.
I think all the Rise boys would get different names in this case, because Lou knows Don's name and his brothers' names. Raphael would be Alessandro (Sandro), Donatello would be Masaccio (Masa), Michelangelo would be Angelico (Angie), and Leonardo would be Titian (Ti).

From the elaborately choreographed dance number the boys pulled off in “Mascott Melee”, it’s obvious that they spend a lot of time practicing dancing together. Does Ghost ever catch them at it? On a scale of 1-10 how adorable does he think it is? Have the boys ever put a little show on for him? Do they ever try to get Ghost to dance with them? CAN Ghost dance?
Watching them dance? They do it all the time, and Ghost enjoys watching. He's never joined in, always insisting he can't dance. They try to get him to join in, but he just refuses. He likes watching them more. CAN he? I feel like Ghost can dance in the same way that Aang from ATLA can dance. His fighting is his dancing.

For some reason, despite not really wearing clothes, all of the Rise boys wear pj's. Do they ever get ghost pj's? What is his reaction? Does he actually wear them?
I like to think they get a lil chilly at night and that's why they wear PJs. Sometimes Donnie sleeps entirely nekkid (Purple Jacket) so I imagine it depends on what they're feeling at the moment.
The boys 100% get Ghost pajamas. They're strawberry PJs. He loves them and wears them especially in winter.

Do the boys ever play their music for Ghost? What does he think? How does he react in front of the boys?
The boys definitely play their music for Ghost! He listens to it and sees how they can enjoy it. Personally he likes classic rock the most but he's not terribly picky, either. He tends to go with "I see why you like this song" kind of vibes, even if he doesn't like it personally. He likes hearing their music. Gives him a little insight to the inside of their heads.

GITS: Were April’s science fairs any less of a disaster with Ghost there to supervise?
Nope not at all. If anything they were even crazier. Ghost didn't help out with April's science projects! He let that be an April and Donnie thing. He does has helped April with her science homework occasionally if Donnie was too busy.

It was awesome to see Ghost and Splinter actually start to get a little closer in the last chapter. I think they both need it - they need to see each other as the actual people they are rather than the shadows of the people the represent to one another.
Yeah, they do. It's a slow process. Splinter's starting to learn how Ghost likes to be cared about, and Ghost is starting to see that Splinter actually cares.

Does Ghost have an opinion on Lou Jitsu and his movies? And does Splinter know what that opinion is? What is Splinter’s opinion of Ghost’s opinion?
Before Ghost found out that Splinter was Lou Jitsu, he enjoyed the movies quite a bit! They reminded him of something his Michelangelo would really like, of movie nights with his brothers. Splinter overheard Ghost's opinion of the movies from his boys, and from Ghost. He's very pleased that Ghost likes them.
After Ghost finds out Splinter was Lou Jitsu, he stopped watching the movies unless he was watching them with the boys. It just made him think of how different everything was. He's learning to enjoy them again, slowly.

Pt. 1 Pt. 2 Pt. 3 Pt. 4 Pt. 5 Pt. 6 Pt. 7 Pt. 8 Pt. 9
Tumblr media
“Okay, there’s your tea. Do you need anything else? Another pillow?”
“Momma,” you laughed, shaking your head, “I’m fine. Thank you, really. You don’t have to wait on me hand and foot, ya know,”
She sighed, giving you a tight lipped smile. “When did you get so grown up?”
“Like, five seconds ago, I think?”
She laughed and left the living room, and you grabbed the TV remote to begin mindlessly scrolling through channels. Of course, there was nothing good on. Never was this time of day. Besides reruns of Law & Order: SVU. That was always a good brain killer.
The familiar base and funky guitar riff began to play, but before you could get any further, your brother was jumping over the back of the couch and snatching the remote out of your hand, changing the channel to some raunchy cartoon you had less than zero interest in watching.
“There’s a TV in your room, asswipe.”
“This one’s bigger, shithead.”
“Just because I have a broken leg and a fractured rib, doesn’t mean I can’t kick your ass.”
“Hey!”
You turned your head, seeing your father come into the room before taking the remote out of Lucas’s hand and shutting off the TV.
“You two knuckleheads need to cut the shit. Lucas, go do something. Don’t want you sittin’ around all day doing nothin’.”
He cursed and grumbled to himself, storming off like an upset toddler. When he was out of sight, your father took his spot next to you, and turned the TV back on, and switched to American Pickers.
You arched a brow. “Really?”
“Hey, they find some cool stuff on here.”
You shake your head and smile, choosing to watch rather than argue. When Zoe passed by, she grimaced and made a disgusted noise.
“Again?”
“Oh, I’m guessing this one is popular?” you asked.
“He only watched it almost every day you were gone.” Regardless of her opinion, Zoe sat on the couch.
You shrugged. “Well, I wanna see what all the hype is about then.”
You looked up at your father with a small smile, and he just put a hand on your head and mussed with your hair.
“I knew you were my favorite for a reason.”
“Hey!” Zoe cried.
Your father laughed, and you looked down at your cast that was adorned with the signatures of your family. Your mother had written “Mom” in neat cursive with a heart right on the front. A stark contrast to the big, jagged letters of your brother’s name that stretched vertically up the entire side. Zoe’s name was smaller, The Z underlining the rest of her name, and your dad wrote right under your mother’s signature, with a few uplifting words.
“Our strong little soldier.”
Your fingers gently ran over the rough edge of your cast, and you smiled. Recovery would be rough, sitting around being able to do nothing while your body wanted to stay active. And the promise of sleep without nightmares was almost impossible. But, at least you had your family here to help you get through it. And you couldn’t ask for anything better.
***
The smell of spices and cooking veggies was the first thing to disturb your slumber. Then the muttering of voices slowly trickled in your ears before you lifted your head with a groan.
“Well, look who’s finally awake.”
Your fingers dug into worn leather, one hand reaching up to wipe at your eyes as your vision adjusted to the soft lighting in the room. When you sat up and came face to face with the person that spoke, your breath froze in your lungs.
“You okay, hun? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
A gentle hand was placed against your forehead, and your eyes narrowed.
“Momma?”
She smiled, brushing your hair away from your forehead.”Come on, dinner’s almost ready.”
You watched as she walked away before looking down at your hands, and you recognized the living room couch you currently rested on. Everything looked just as it did. Before Eveline came into your lives. The hum of the TV intermingling with the voices of your family in the other room. The smell of delicious food coming from the kitchen.
You pinched yourself.
Nothing. No way this was real.
Standing up, you hesitantly made your way through the dining room and watched your mother as she stood over a big pot of stew, Zoe right beside her pouring glasses of tea.
“Lucas, could you help set the table, please?”
Your brother groaned, shoved his phone in his pocket, and stood from the table.
No. This was all too normal. Too real. But it couldn’t be. You were just running for your life seconds ago with—
Ethan!
Frantically rushing forward, your hand grasped the doorknob of the double doors, but the sound of your mother saying your name had you pausing.
“Oh! Darlin’, could you go fetch your father? He’s down in the garage working on that car again.”
Slowly turning, you gave your mom an uneasy grin and exited the kitchen. Making sure the doors closed behind you, you took a second to take a deep breath, trying to gain some sense of thought. You knew this wasn’t real. You knew it was probably some hyper realistic dream something conjured up in your brain. But, the more you stood there to take it all in, you realized that you didn’t feel uneasy or scared. You felt… calm. Like this was just another normal day in your old life, in your home, where everything was safe and okay.
It felt right.
Taking another breath, you descended the steps to the garage and caught your father bent under the hood of his car, fiddling with something near the engine.
“D… Daddy?”
He lifted his head, giving you a glance. “Hey! Pass me that flathead over there, would you?”
Your head followed his finger to the toolbox resting on the bench, grabbing the screwdriver and placing it in his grease covered hand.
“Momma said dinner’s ready.”
Letting out a grunt, he stood to his full height and faced you, wiping off his hands with a dirty rag. He smiled, and it immediately made your heart ache.
“Best not keep her waiting, then.”
Swallowing thickly, you nodded, casting your eyes to the concrete floor. Your father went to walk past you, but you heard his shoes scrape against the floor as he stopped, placing a hand on your shoulder.
“Hey, you okay, kid?”
You tightly pressed your lips together to try and keep them from trembling, but you couldn’t hide your red rimmed eyes from him as you looked up, and his expression dropped.
“Oh, kiddo.”
Choking on a sob, your father wrapped his arms around you in a tight hug whilst you buried your face in his shirt. He smelled like cologne and car oil, a smell you’d never not associate with him. It felt surreal to be in his arms, to feel the warmth of his embrace surrounding you. You almost forgot what it felt like.
“Come on. You gonna tell me what’s troublin’ you?”
You sniffled, shaking your head and gripping the back of his shirt. You couldn’t bear letting him go. Not when you just got him back.
“I’m scared, daddy. I’m so damn scared, and I just— I don’t know—”
“Shhh. We don’t gotta talk about that right now. Whatever it is, you know your momma and I will help you through it.”
Another sob wracked your body, and your father pulled your face out of his chest to brush his thumbs over your cheeks, gently wiping away the fountain of tears pouring down.
“Hey, don’t you worry about a thing right now. You’re too young to be stressin’ about silly things.”
You willed yourself to laugh, leaning into his hand. His touch was warm, familiar.
Shit.
You didn’t think this would hurt so much.
You knew none of it was real, but god, if you didn’t want to stay here forever. You’d be blissfully unaware of the outside, living the rest of your life in the warm presence of your loving family. You missed them more than words could ever express, and your heart ached with the thought of what your future with your family could’ve been if that little girl never showed up.
The reminder hit you like a ton of bricks, and you thought of Ethan. Where was he if you were here? You didn’t even know what here was. Were you dead? Were you dreaming? You wanted it to be real. You never wanted anything more than this. But you couldn’t abandon Ethan.
You couldn’t say goodbye again, either.
“I… I don’t know what to do, daddy. I feel like I’m just messing everything up, a-and i don’t know how to fucking fix it. I—”
You were cut off with another cry, and your father pulled your head into his chest again.
“Please. Please just tell me what to do, daddy. I don’t know what to do.”
Your voice and sobs were muffled in his shirt, holding onto him tightly as he softly quieted you.
“Well first, you’re gonna straighten that head up.” He made you step back, using his fingers to lift your chin so you held your head high. “You’re gonna wipe away those tears.” You did as he said, swiping your hands over your cheeks. “And you’re gonna be the strong soldier that we know you are.” He grabbed your shoulders, giving them a squeeze. “You are strong. And you will figure out whatever it is because you’re a Baker.”
Sniffling, you nodded and mustered up a small smile for your father. He was right. He always was. But you certainly didn’t feel as strong or courageous as he saw you.
“Now there’s one more thing you need to do, okay?”
You nodded, straightening your shoulders.
“... Wake up.”
***
Ringing.
Ringing
More fucking ringing.
Christ, could someone shut that shit up?!
You startled with a gasp, body shooting up and your hand covering your chest to feel your heart thumping against your ribcage. There were hands on your arms and your name spewed frantically from Ethan. His voice sounded raw and hoarse, and when he gently grabbed your face so he could look at you properly, his eyes were red and his cheeks were stained with tears.
“You’re okay. Shit, you’re okay,” he says, choking on a breath as if he’s about to cry again.
“You’ve been crying.”
It’s all you can say, and he almost looks surprised as he lets out a dry laugh, his hand adjusting its position on your jaw.
“So have you.”
You didn’t realize until he said something that you had fresh tears rolling down your face that he gently swiped away with his thumb. The look in his eyes, it was like he was seeing a ghost. A mix of relief and disbelief swirling around in them.
“You died.”
Your chest seized with a breath, brows furrowing as you shook your head. “How is that possible? I—”
“I don’t know. I-I… I was holding you one minute and then the next you— shit. You just stopped breathing. A-And I couldn’t feel your heart anymore, and you were just—”
“I saw them, Ethan. My momma and pops. And Lucas and Zoe were there. They—”
When you moved your arm, you realized it didn’t hurt as much as it did before. In fact, it didn’t hurt at all. You experimentally flexed your muscles and bent it at the elbow. It felt fine. Normal. Then, you were taking off your bandages, and your eyes widened when you saw that all your cuts and bruises were gone. Faint scars remain where they were.
“Holy shit. Check my back.”
You turned your back to Ethan, and you heard him gasp softly. The tips of his fingers gently brushed against your skin, causing a slight shiver to run through you, and he whispered out a curse.
“They’re healed.”
When you stood on your feet, you felt brand new. Rejuvenated. A wide smile broke out on your face, and you couldn’t help but laugh. It was like you could take down a whole army!
“Holy shit,” you laughed, and Ethan stood. “I’m fucking invincible!”
Ethan’s own smile formed at the sight of yours, and before he knew it, you were grabbing his face and planting a hard but quick kiss on his cheek. You pulled away and ran into the next room before you could see the blush take over his face, and he cleared his throat as he followed after you.
“Hey, what are you—”
He cut himself off, and the room felt cold suddenly. It was like your mood did a complete shift, and he carefully watched you as you examined a photo that was resting on a table near an old, shabby couch. He recognised the room from when he first tried to save Mia. That felt so long ago now.
“There’s somethin’ I never told you, Ethan.”
Okay, that didn’t make him worried at all. You sighed, and handed him the photo. He looked at it closely, and saw it was a picture of the old lady in the wheelchair he saw when he first woke up in the house. He always assumed it was your grandmother, but now that he thought about it, you never mentioned her in your retelling of your family memories. Not once.
Then he turned the photo over.
E-001
Holy shit.
“Eveline.”
You nodded, and the look on your face spoke more than any words you could muster.
“I meant to tell you, I just… I couldn't find time to fit it into casual conversation, I guess. You know, with the whole running and fighting for our lives and all that.”
“Not much good the information would’ve done me, anyway. Although, the shock factor certainly has me speechless.”
You shrugged. “Could always do with a good ‘holy shit’ moment.”
“Mm. I think I already had one of those when you died and came back to life.”
“Sorry, I was saving that party trick for later.”
Ethan chuckled, but it quickly turned into a gasp when he reached the top of the stairs of the guest house, and the image of Eveline appeared in front of him. You were shocked to see it, too, knowing these weren’t your memories.
As you got closer, she disappeared, and her voice echoed through the dark, empty space.
“It’s your fault!”
Ethan stumbled back with a breath. “Why are we seeing this?”
You shook your head. Maybe Eveline knew. Knew that her end was getting closer. Maybe this was her last hurrah, a final attempt at striking fear through you to keep you from going after her. You knew she was afraid, herself. Because deep down under all that evil, and all that spite, there was just a little girl. A little girl who wanted nothing more than to have a family of her own, and it was ripped away from her. You could remember when you wanted that, too. More than anything. You just wished she had the similar story you did. Where a family did want you. A family loved you. But she would die, a child trapped in an elderly woman’s body.
What a sick joke.
When Mia suddenly stepped out in front of you and grabbed Ethan’s hand, you jumped back. But she ignored you, and when you looked behind her to see Eveline again, you realized it was another memory.
“Kill him, mommy.”
Ethan was slammed against the wall, and black crawled over Mia’s skin before she was raising a screwdriver and stabbing it through his hand. You almost screamed, terrified that he was actually hurt for a split second. But then she disappeared, and Eveline was right in his face.
“He doesn’t want to be my daddy? Then he can die.”
A deep breath shuddered through Ethan, and you helped him up onto his feet. He gripped your hand. Hard.
“You okay?”
“Yeah. Yeah, just… Feels so long ago when all this happened. Hardly feels real.”
You grabbed his bicep.
“This is it, Ethan. All of this, everything that’s happened tonight, it will be a distant memory. For all of us.”
He looked up at you through lidded eyes, and his hand squeezed.
“All of it?”
You chuckled and pulled away. “Most of it.”
His fingers gently caught against yours when you pulled away, and you sent him a small grin. But it quickly dropped from your face when you heard the revving of a chainsaw and turned to see Mia rushing at you.
“Holy shit—”
When she swung at Ethan, you couldn’t stop the scream that left you that time. But as the chainsaw came down, it just went right through him. He frantically ran a hand over his torso, like he was checking to see if he was still in one piece. And the look he gave you seemed like he was shocked to find out that he was.
“Ethan—”
He rushed by you without a word, taking the stairs to the second floor two at a time.
“Ethan!”
Quickly following after him, you almost cursed him out for rushing on ahead of you. That was until Evie appeared again, and Ethan had the syringe out and ready. She physically recoiled at the sight, screaming her disdain, and the force practically flung you and Ethan right off your feet.
“No, no, no! Stay away!”
When she screamed again, Ethan landed on his back, but not before shoving the syringe in your hand. The glass and metal was cold against your skin, watching it roll in your palm before you curled your fingers around it and gripped it tightly. So tight you thought you might break it, but you couldn’t risk having it fly out of your hands. It was like a brick wall was pushing back against you, that feeling like you were running in a dream where you just couldn’t move forward.
“Get away from me! Please! We can be a family!”
You finally got close enough to grip her shoulder, and you felt sorrowful.
“I’m sorry, Evie.”
The needle sunk into the junction between her neck and shoulder, and she screamed. It was so loud it almost burst your eardrums, ringing deep in your skull and ratling your brain. You winced as a bright light blinded you before the image of the little girl vanished, and in front of you was an old woman in a wheelchair. She looked up at you, tears in her eyes.
“... Why does everyone hate me?”
The words were like a knife striking your heart, and you kneeled down to touch her cold, bony hand.
“Goodbye, Eveline.”
Ethan finally joined you, but you both were jumping back when she suddenly stood out of her chair and began vomiting black ooze at your feet. She was shouting as her features morphed and melted, a look of horror forming on your face, and her body was nothing more than a puddle of mold and goo on the floor by the end of it.
“Damn you! Damn you all to Hell!”
Everything seemed to unfold before your eyes, a horrible situation only growing worse as mold quickly crawled over every imaginable surface around you, swallowing any remaining light, and formed a giant mass right in the middle of the wall. The mold shifted, and a horrible face was revealed under the mass, lashing out and screaming.
“Holy fuck!”
Your finger was on the trigger faster than you could think, pumping as many bullets as you could into the thing. You heard the boom of Ethan’s shotgun go off next to you, the sound making your ears ring, but nothing seemed to work. She was just getting closer and closer, jaw unhinged like she was ready to take a bite out of you.
“Ethan, I don’t think—!”
The floor rumbled under your feet when Ethan shot directly into Eveline’s eye and she screamed, the mold around her forming long tentacle like tendrils. The roof began to collapse, but she was grabbing you before you could run and thrusting you both through the broken roof. Ethan screamed, but you couldn’t see him. The mold had practically consumed him.
But then you were flying. Falling. Your sight full of nothing but clear blue skies.
It was beautiful.
Then the air was forced out of your lungs and you went tumbling through the dirt. It was like your lungs were on fire, desperately trying to suck air back into your body. It was only then that Ethan landed next to you, screaming out in pain. You tried to reach out for him, but he was too far, and you could barely move. Not when pain was shooting up your legs and back.
“Ethan. Ethan!”
He turned his head, staring at you with wide, horrified eyes. Your attention was quickly drawn away, though, when the mutated Eveline burst through the roof of the guest house and came rushing down at you. She had only gotten bigger, more monstrous. It was unreal.
Pain shot through your leg, and you put a new mag in your gun. “Fuck, this is not how I planned the rest of my day going!”
Bullets seemed almost pointless for something this big. Like it would just absorb everything you shot at it.Your grip tightened around your gun. You couldn’t get this far just to lay on your back and die. Not when you’re so damn close to finishing all this.
Ethan cried out, and you looked over to see that the mold had pierced through his leg and was lifting him into the air, his gun flying out of his hands. Fear surged through you, and you screamed his name, reaching up like you could grab him and pull him back down. He was flung across the yard, rolling only further away from you. You felt so fucking useless. Like you couldn’t protect him. Couldn’t save him. Your friends' faces flashed in your mind.
You wouldn’t let him meet the same fate.
You struggled to your feet with a strained cry, limping your way towards Ethan with pain shooting up your legs every dragged step of the way. Everything hurt so fucking much. You could practically feel every bone in your body aching and begging for rest. But you couldn’t stop. Not when Ethan was in trouble. Not when he could die if you didn’t do anything.
“Come on. Come on.”
You limply raised your arm, the weight of your gun heavy in your hand, and shot the remaining bullets in your clip. Then you heard the steady beating of helicopter wings, and for a second, you thought you were back in the field. Trying to protect your friends while taking out the enemy. But then you looked up, and you saw them.
They were real.
You couldn’t help but laugh in disbelief. You briefly wondered if it was just a trick of the light. If it was a memory Eveline was playing for you. But you knew what her hallucinations looked like. This was too real to be one.
There was a muffled shout coming from Ethan’s direction, and you looked over to see him crawl for a gun a few feet away before shooting at Evie. The gun was more powerful than you’d ever seen a standard handgun be, and you could physically see the kickback even from how far away you were. Evie was hiding her face, trying to shield herself behind her mold, but Ethan was fast, reacting quick and getting a shot in whenever he could.
She thrashed around in the air, screaming bloody murder and cursing you and Ethan to Hell. Slowly, you watched as her face began to turn white, solidifying her features and crawling down her mutated form until she stopped moving. It was like a building coming down when she fell, landing right at Ethan’s feet. Chunks of her fell off and turned to dust at the force, and the ground shook beneath your feet. But holy shit.
It was over.
She was dead.
You were free.
Debris and ash fell around you, and you watched Eveline’s face crumble to pieces. Your legs struggled to move, but you willed them as hard as you could despite the pain rushing through them.
“Ethan!”
His head snapped towards you, and you could see him mouth your name. He struggled onto his feet, and your muscles burned with the fire of your efforts to reach him. Face wet with fresh tears, you steadily closed the distance between you until you were just a few feet away, but the pain in your legs finally caught up to you, and you stumbled on your feet. Ethan was right there, though, and you were crashing into his chest with a sob, hands gripping the back of his shirt.
He held you so tight it hurt, your ribs crushing your lungs as you struggled to breathe through broken cries. But you didn’t care, because it felt good to be in his arms again, knowing you were safe.
He buried his face in your hair, hand coming up to hold the back of your head, and pressed his lips against your temple.
“We’re okay. Fuck, you’re okay.”
You pulled back to look at him, his eyes frantically searching your face, and you laughed. His smile soon matched yours, and he carefully wiped away a rogue tear before it could dry on your face. The sight of people in full body armor sliding down ropes from the helicopters had you stepping away, but you put yourself in front of Ethan when one of them came towards you, his mask imposing and threatening. Not to mention just how big this person looked underneath all of it.
When he pulled his headgear off, it revealed the face of a man older than Ethan, crows feet around his eyes and grey at his temples. His brown hair was cropped short, and stubble surrounded the tight lipped smile he gave you.
“I’m Redfield.”
He held out his hand, and you clapped yours against it for a firm shake.
“What the hell took you guys so long?”
He chuckled, and directed you to a few of his squad members.
“They’ll see to your injuries over there. There’s a helicopter waiting to take you out of here.”
Ethan gripped the man’s arm before he could walk away, worry washing over his face. “Mia, is she—?”
“We found her. She’s fine.”
Ethan visibly relaxed, and you placed a hand on his shoulder.
“Come on. Let’s go get you patched up, cowboy.”
He smiled, and you both leaned against each other's side for support. But, while you were walking away, you heard the man speak into his com, muttering something. Then you heard a name.
Lucas.
You froze, and before Ethan could express his concern, you told him to go on ahead. He hesitated, not wanting to go too far away from you, but you reassured him with a smile and pushed him forward. Making sure his back was turned to you, you quickly— well, as quick as you could— maneuvered around and walked back towards the older man, loudly clearing your throat. He turned, eyebrow raised.
“You guys are looking for Lucas?”
“You know him?”
“He’s my brother.”
He nodded, as if you confirmed something. “Right. You’re the one the Baker’s adopted.”
Your eyes widened. “How the hell—?”
“We’ve done extensive research and background checks on your brother, including the rest of the family. Military. Special forces. Put on medical leave. Then you disappeared.”
You scoffed. “Yeah. Held captive more like. Look, if you’re going after him, I’m coming with you.”
He shook his head without a second thought. “Absolutely not. I won’t have any civilian casualties on my watch—”
“I don’t believe I was asking,” you said through gritted teeth. You let out a huff. “I can help, okay? I know his tricks, I know what kind of fucked up shit he’s got going through his head to know what moves he’s probably gonna pull. And…” You swallowed thickly, trying to keep your anger from boiling over at the thought of that asshole. “He hurt my sister, the people I care about. He tried to fucking kill us. If anyone’s taking down this bastard, it’s gonna be me.”
Redfield seemed to stew on your words, thinking a bit too long for your liking before letting out a sigh.
“Even if I wanted you to come, you’re in no position to go. You can barely stand on your feet.”
“Then pump me full of adrenaline, give me a super shot, anything. I don’t care. I’m going.”
You turned around and walked to where Ethan was receiving medical attention, his eyes watching that entire interaction.
“You always this stubborn?” Redfield shouted after you.
You raised your middle finger, and the man that was once tending to Ethan stepped to the side so you could tell him the situation. You could tell he was hesitant to let you go off on what he probably viewed as a suicide mission, but your hard stare and unrelenting attitude made him cave, and he was shoving a large needle with a strange green liquid inside it in your arm the within the next few seconds. You winced at the painful pinch, but the sensation that washed over you made you feel like you were back to one-hundred percent almost. He then explained that the next shot he was giving you was the vaccine, sticking it in the opposite arm. If you were honest, you didn’t feel any different after it. But maybe that was because Eveline was dead, and she had no hold on you anymore. “It’s not a permanent solution. You’ll still need a hospital visit and have your wounds properly looked at and dressed, but it’ll do for now.”
You nodded as you had your wounds cleaned and rewrapped with fresh gauze. Ethan looked at you confused.
“Wait, what? What does he mean?”
You sighed. He wasn’t going to like this.
“I’m going with them to find Lucas. I’m not letting my brother get away.”
Ethan stood despite other’s protests, shaking his head.
“You can’t do that! We— shit, we killed Eveline! Let these guys handle him!”
“Ethan—”
“No! Fuck, I’m not gonna stand by and let you put yourself in danger! Not when I just got you back!”
You stood there, shocked. Honestly, if you were in Ethan’s shoes, you’d react the same if he decided to suddenly go off fighting without you. But, you couldn’t let Lucas get away from you. Not after everything he did to you. And Zoe. And Ethan.
He gulped, tears lining his eyes. “Please, I— Don’t go where I can’t follow.”
It was like the air was punched out of you, taking in a shuddered breath as you reached forward and held Ethan’s face. Fuck, his eyes were pretty.
“Don’t forget about me.”
Chapped and bloodied lips pressed against his in an almost desperate measure to memorize him, the feel of his body pressed up against you, his smell, the way he tasted. Ethan sighed against your mouth as his hand came up to carefully hold your jaw. Whereas the last kiss was a reassurance in a moment of doubt, this one almost felt like a goodbye. One final act to remember each other before you were sent off into the void again. Ethan didn’t want to let you go. He couldn’t. Not when this felt so right and you were in his arms and kissing him and you were here. With him. Not off getting yourself killed by whatever your sick, demented brother had planned. You were safe. And he wanted to keep it that way.
But, he knew he couldn’t stop you. Knew that you needed this closure. So he pulled away from your lips with a soft gasp, and rested his forehead against yours.
“You know I couldn’t.”
You smiled, slowly pulling away, and a looming presence appeared behind you.
“Come on. We gotta get you geared up.”
You turned around, giving Redfield a two finger mock salute.
“Yes, sir.”
Ethan chuckled as you walked away, and you heard a low grumble.
“It’s Captain.”
“Sir Captain?”
“Captain Redfield.”
“Ahh. So first name basis is a no go? I mean, you know all about me apparently—”
“Is this really why you got sent home? For running your mouth?”
You turned abruptly, hands on your hips as you tilted your head up to look at this absolute behemoth of a man.
“I’d like to know whose life I’m putting in my hands, if you don’t mind. Little something called having trust in your team.”
He sighed, and you knew you were putting more wrinkles in his forehead and greys in his hair by each passing second. You almost smiled.
“It’s Chris.”
You curtly nodded when he reached out his hand, and instead of taking it, your fist was quick as lightning when it hit his bicep. He barely flinched. And now your knuckles hurt.
The fuck is his workout routine?
“Let’s get this show on the road then, Hercules.”
He wordlessly shrugged as you walked away, and Ethan couldn’t help but look on with a fond smile.
Yeah. He couldn’t forget about you if he tried.

(Federico Russo) [THE ALOOF]. Please welcome [DAMIANO 'DAMI' CLARKE (HE/HIM)] to Huntsville, WV. They are an [26]-year-old [RESIDENT] who lives in [THE COMMUNE]. You may see them around working as a [CARETAKER AT SUNSHINE DAYCARE (2YRS ROOM)]. Poor unfortunate soul. We’ll see if they survive
Full Name: Damiano Tanner Clarke Birthday: October 19 Age: 26 Hunter or Gatherer: Gatherer Sexuality: bisexual Height: 5'9 Relationship Status: ???? with Jupiter Picard
The Clarke family of five seemed idyllic, and for most of Damiano's life, it was. With a twin brother and an older sibling, there was little to complain about, other than the fact that Huntsville always felt small. A momma's boy from the start, it wasn't unusual to find her at her hip, asking to be read a story or watching her go about her daily tasks. If he was his mother's favorite, it was never made obvious to the other two.
From a very young age, Dami loved animals. Always begging for a pet, he was thrilled when his father brought home a few chickens. They were a main source of eggs for a few years, but then it was deemed time to eat them. Damiano cried for hours and refused to touch his dinner at all. He's been a vegetarian since he was six years old (though Huntsville's current state has forced him to alter his diet).
As he got older, his face started turning sharper, and his dark features more defined. Girls were constantly giggling about him between classes, his soft freckles contrasting with his dark hair, and he found himself getting girlfriends very easily - first, nothing more than playmates that held hands, and eventually, actual dating, once he was old enough that it was appropriate.
The paradox changed absolutely everything. Things were scary, and Dami was barely a teenager, clinging desperately to his siblings as his mother went nearly out of her mind with the grief of losing her husband, and while she managed to stick around for the kids, she was a shell of who she used to be. It made Damiano's heart ache.
Why he decided to take on the personality of someone aloof and nonchalant was anyone's guess. Maybe the air of mystery made him more appealing to the girls, maybe it was his way of coping with the grief of it all; but whatever it was, they seemed drawn to him like a moth to a flame. High school, while very strange, went by without much of a hitch, Dami dating around but never committing to anyone for much longer than six months at the most. The idea of finding someone to settle down with and start a family unnerved him, especially with the shell of a woman that was his mother occupied the house physically, but mentally she had died with her husband. He didn't want to be like that.
Despite the distaste for his own future, Dami loved kids. Taking up a job at the daycare seemed like the perfect decision for him, and it was one of the few things that brought him genuine joy anymore. He started working there when he was twenty, and he loves working with the toddlers best because there was always at least one of them who wanted to snuggle. Finding it difficult in almost every other aspect of his life, he got a lot of joy and fulfillment out of taking care of these small humans that simply loved him because he showed up every day.
He moved into the commune on his own; he simply couldn't take living in the family house with the ghost of his mother. The commune was a little better; at least it felt alive. He visited home once a week though, and had been trying to convince his oldest sibling that maybe they should look into getting their mom into Sunnyside, despite not being that old. He loved her so much, but she might be better in the care of others.
Dami still keeps a lot of people at arm's length, letting them in just enough to be comfortable, but not enough to start thinking about any kind of future outside a stable friendship. His mom is a very tender topic, and he hasn't spoken about his dad in ten years. As much as he'd like to be a vegetarian, the options in such a secluded town wasn't great, and he reluctantly 'downgraded' to a pescatarian, but still refuses to eat any other kind of meat, especially chicken.

It has always been very hard for me to talk about my childhood abuse. I can only somewhat do it now. I mostly just dump all that trauma right into a character. It's easier to deal with that in fiction rather than talk about the reality of it, particularly when I feel - and I'm surely not alone in this - like I can't change it. It happens to so many of us. It's so normalized! Abusive childhood details ahead but when I wrote Adversary, I created a society that punished children in various ways. One of them was to throw them in a religious maze with terrifying depictions painted on the walls at night so that the child had to figure out how to light the pitch black maze with candles. Each candle had a color and needed to be lit in a certain order. (Some kids memorize this, but yeah.) That comes from my mom getting upset at me for having a tantrum when I was four, and when we got home, she shut me in the car and went inside. It was pouring rain. I had no idea how to get out. I figured out locks that day - this was a long time ago, so we didn't have electronic locking systems or alarms. In fact, the car was old (poor family) so it didn't have electronic windows either. When my brother and I were playing with our blankets, using them as capes, my dad got angry about it. Said that wasn't what blankets were for and took all of ours away for a night. I was always hiding under mine because I thought aliens or monsters or ghosts would get to me if I didn't, so I was up all night in a panic because I couldn't hide. I can't say if I've translated that into one of my stories, but surely I have. Then there's stuff like... In TDC, Roscoe asks Wayne (his father) if he can have broccoli with dinner. Wayne rejects the notion, but he's pissed about it. Then he immediately changes his mind and says they can fix it, but he says it angrily, as if Roscoe forced his hand. Even though he simply asked once and dropped it as soon as Wayne said "no". And now, no matter what he does, he's been set up: if he says it's okay, they don't have to have it, Wayne will blow up at him. If he agrees to fix it, Wayne will hold it against him that he got what he wanted and will likely bring up "We would have broccoli in the house if you hadn't insisted on eating it." Roscoe isn't trying to win or lose, but he's been put in a situation where that seems to be the case. Over something as innocuous as wanting broccoli for dinner. It's Wayne, setting Roscoe up. Which is a reality I lived through time and time again with my father. It fucks with you deeply. It makes every choice you make something terrifying. You aren't supposed to have choice. I was my maternal grandparents' least favorite child, and they constantly allowed my cousin to bully me to horrific degrees. Then when I was writing Seasons, I was in a "polycule" (girlfriend at the time had another partner) where I was suddenly being ousted more and more from the relationship. It tore open a ton of old wounds that I am forever everyone's least favorite. So that ended up being a core part of Howie's experiences as well. It just hurts too much sometimes to talk about it in depth, and sometimes I don't even want to be a person. I want to be a machine who write stories and doesn't have to need or feel things. I put all that pain into my stories, because I like to write, but I also need to get out those emotions. Express them in a way that isn't ripping my skin apart because I share blood with some shitty people. (Yes, that's... an actual thought that I'd have a lot in the past. Not so much these days, but I'm also just writing and projecting more shit onto characters.)

The Underworld Demigods
Samael Toth, son of Thanatos.
he/him, male, gay
November 15th (14)
dating Hyacinth Garland (son of Persephone) and Machaon Reed (son of Asclepius), and platonically married to Callista Heartsease (daughter of Psyche)
enjoys gardening and helping out in the infirmary (he can calm others down just by being near them)
died during his first/only quest, but he got better and has a cool scar now. he got to meet his dad when he died which was cool but his dad wasnt too happy about the meeting. wonder why.
his dad doesnt like Asclepius so hes against Samael and Mac dating but not in a homophobic way, more of a "thats the son of the fucker who almost put me out of a job" way
loves giving his boyfriends nicknames. his nicknames for Mac are: my flame, my sun/sunshine, my savior, and grumpy. his nicknames for Hyacinth are: my light, my flower, my prince, my sweet, my love, and smiles.
he loves it when Hyacinth braids flowers and vines into his hair and he'll wear it like that until Hyacinth or someone else wants to change it.
Hyacinth Garland, son of Persephone.
he/him, male, gay
May 21st (13)
dating Samael Toth (son of Thanatos) and in a situationship with Nicholas Marlowe (son of Zagreus)
highly emotional, more in touch with his spring/summer powers than his fall/winter ones
he studied flower language and every flower and vine he braids into Samael's hair means something special to him. he usually braids in cypress vines, with cypress flowers symbolizing eternal love.
he has a difficult time keeping personal secrets as he grew up being an adopted child of family vloggers who did everything they could for content, even going as far as tearing apart his room and reading his diaries for anything to base a video around. he's always scared that any secret he has will be used against him for other's enertainment/his humiliation.
has never shadow travelled, but can if so desired. hes heard about what it can do to someone, he'd rather stick to traditional modes of transportation, thank you very much
knows he was the least favorite child, but he'd rather be the least favorite than have his twin sister experience what he did.
met Nicholas while on his first/only quest
his real name is William Lot
Iris Garland, daughter of Persephone.
she/her, female, bisexual
May 21st (13)
single
more in touch with her fall/winter powers than her spring/summer ones.
she met her mom without Hyacinth, and because of that she knows their real names and some stuff about their biological father. she hasn't told her twin brother and isn't sure how, or if she wants to
she used to have an inflated ego as she was the fan favorite on the family vlog channel, but after she realized why people loved her so much, and who exactly loved her, she felt disgusting and used and she hasn't really recovered from her discovery...
friends with Machaon, but it's an "annoying friend (Iris) and the friend being annoyed (Machaon)" type of friendship.
has shadow travelled, will never do it again, you can't make her.
her real name is Emersyn Lot
Maeve Blancfield, daughter of Melinoe.
she/her, ha/haun/haunt/haunts/hauntself, gho/ghost/ghosts/ghosts/ghostself, echo/echo/echos/echos/echoself, de/dem/demis/demises/demiseself, elefang, corroyalescaptic, ghostfem, spectial, agender, lesbian
December 15th (17)
dating Evelyn Darling (daughter of Terpsichore)
dresses in a gothic bimbo aesthetic
loves watching Evelyn using aerial silks. whenever Evelyn's in a thigh hitch seat, Maeve will sit at the bottom of the silks and gently swing her back and forth.
she can give people nightmares but the only person she gives nightmares is Machaon bc she thinks its funny
she has vitiligo that affects her hair, causing patches of white in her black hair, and parts of her neck and face. it's not really noticable on her skin until she gets either tanned or sunburnt.
Nicholas Marlowe, son of Zagreus.
he/him, it/its, genderfluid, abrosexual
June 25th (14)
in a situationship with Hyacinth Garland (son of Persephone)
had unristricted internet access as a child and grew up viewing self harm as something beautiful and romantic. he refers to his self harm scars as "battle scars" and himself as an "angel trying to get back into heaven", despite not believing any of that, but the only way he'll talk about it is by referring to it through the lense of christian-coded romanticism.
he spends most of his time in the underworld
amazing hunting and archery skills, but doesn't enjoy killing innocent animals.
enjoys giving others nicknames. his nicknames for Hyacinth are: my (north) star, my sweet, and my lily flower.
he has brown/green heterochromia
he goes mute when he's angry, which makes him even more angry, which makes him mute for longer, which makes him more angry, which-
he lived a fake life where he made it to 22 with another demigod, hudson godfrey (son of galena), only to find out that life and hudson never existed and hes actually 14. still in shock from it

Your Fankids Obm is Cute they are all adorable🤩 what if your Fankids meet with another Fankids Obm from other universe? If you don't mind how will they react if they meet my Obm Fankids or Obey me Brothers meet their Child from another universe( I also need someone to talk about it 🥲 ) feel free to ignore ( sorry if I wrong, English is not my First Language)
•FIRST CHILD ( Morningstar Triplets ) FULL DEMON
Lucius, Father's face and hair but his personality is cheerful, Lucius is the type of child who is very curious and likes to go around but strangely rarely gets into trouble also this child is also cunning and a great liar, only his father knows when he is lying, Lucius also tends to be a person who has no problem having fun as long as he doesn't risk his pride ( shhh Lucius is actually Everyone Favorite big brother)
Kaiser, Another Father's face and hair. the quietest among the triplets he is also the one who most often arranges his siblings to behave properly, he is not as fierce as Lucifer and tends to be more patient but still firm (also he hate Carrot but never Admit it) when he was little he liked to read using a flashlight at night when he should be sleeping and as a result he had to wear glasses, He's the type to let his siblings have fun as long as it's under his supervision
Sirius, ANOTHER Father' face but mama hair also Sirius is often called 'SIRI' by his siblings (he hates it) he is also the fiercest and somewhat aggressive of the three, VERY much like his father in terms of personality the only difference being that Sirius prefers cats, his angry face is similar to MC and it's... scary!
Creepy things about them, they can pretend to be be each other and neither noticed the difference (Sirius change his hair color) except for one, Cerberus. yup, Cerberus knows their difference. usually they take advantage of their resemblance for fun
•SECOND CHILD ( Asmodeus Daughter ) HALF DEMON
Bia, mom's face and daddy's hair. her personality is also similar to asmodeus but this girl is sometimes more daring like touching mud or if there is an insect that her father hates she throws it away, obviously Bia inherited Beauty from both her parents 👍 she also has MC comfort skills and therapy, Bia is not afraid of ghosts, ghosts are afraid of her. Also Bia is a target for her younger siblings to protect them from the triplets' anger because usually she will defend them or at least try to assuage the triplets' anger
• THIRD CHILD ( Belphie & Beel Son) FULL DEMON
Altan, Altan's biological father is Beel but Beel wants his son to think that Belphie is his father too. His personality is similar to Beel and MC both combine, Altan is the same as Beel but doesn't need snacks 24/7 but when it's time to eat he gets a LOT he also picks up on Belphie's habit which is always sleepy and a bit lazy, Altan is very good at martial arts and basketball but sometimes his laziness makes him more skilled at finding a nap (also he takes over Belphie's pillow) his Favorite food is His mom homemade cook
• FOURTH CHILD ( Levi Player No.3 ) HALF DEMON
Henri, They got rid of the 'y' and replaced it with 'i' (suggestion by MC for wanting to name him something else but gave in for Levi sake) Totally introverted otaku A.K.A Ambivert, he tends to be a bit of a jock but otaku, sometimes he'll be shy around new people he also the closest to Mammon's child because he thinks his little sister is cute but also Hella Annoying (he spoils her a bit) he is obsessed with 1990s anime or old anime and games that have been released for a long time and are rare (he is an antique Otaku collector)
• FIFTH CHILD ( The Great Mammon Jewels ) FULL DEMON
Millian, Taken from the word 'Million' this girl's nickname is Mil/Millie, Dad's face and mom's hair but Lowkey has her father's personality but she is smarter, make a deal with her with a bet of money (she plans it neatly) and make sure your money will go to her bank account , Millie admires her father and she knows that even though her father has many shortcomings but she loves her father for who he is (this makes Mammon cry) she is also very close to Henri and tends to bully him in a good way ofc
• YOUNGEST CHILD ( Satan Favorite kitten) HUMAN
Runa, A sweet and quiet girl she has her mama's face and her daddy's hair, she has a mixture of both her parents but she definitely has her daddy's temperament. Runa is often bullied by the Morningstar Triplets especially Lucius, Runa has a Frenemy relationship with the Triplets but she doesn't hate them (she finds them very annoying and worth torturing!) just like Satan she loves cats but prefers Big cats (Tiger, lion, and others) want to take care of them but know it's impossible because Uncle/Papa Lucifer forbids it. meanie. overall she's a sweet girl but her temperament turns her into Satan 2.0
Thank you 🔆
BABIES- 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Awwwww I love them so much,,,,,
Also, if I had a nickel for every time someone gave Lucifer Morningstar triplet fankids, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice. Right, @ice-cweam-sod4 ?
Anyhoo~ I think Venus would take on the big sibling role pretty easily. They’re the type of sibling that takes you to get ice cream before dinner if you’re hanging out outside in the summer. Though, Lucius better be careful, no one’s allowed to bully any children of Satan on their watch!
Ash and Millie would definitely be partners in crime. With Mammon’s talent of coming up with crazy money-making skills mixed with the smarts to actually pull the plans off? The Devildom isn’t ready-
Bia 🤝 (peacekeepers) 🤝 Cecil. I guess the children of Asmodeus are just good at making people stop arguing!
But for the other kids… if we’re bringing in the Hell Timeline-
Arien: …
The other kids: …
Arien: Do you guys want to start **FIRES?**

I agree, it's ridiculous to have Leia not make peace with her heritage until bloodline, and not even then. That's why my favorite SW book is Tatooine Ghost, because she manages to understand, and to an extent, forgive Anakin, and thus herself.
She's not like Luke, so it's understandable it took her longer to see her father as who he was, and see herself as his daughter (and not in a bad way). But I think making Leia be resentful, and unbending, hard....is not the win people think it is. Personally, I think it's a disservice to her. In Tatooine Ghost you can tell that her feeling badly about Vader being her father is detrimental to her own development as a person, and it's when she accepts it, and him, that she manages to make a life for herself that she actually wants.
Besides, Anakin is the reason Luke, the person she loves the most aside from Han, is her brother. I'm not so sure she'd resent her parentage so much if it's the reason why she has a kindred spirit, and she's truly not alone in the world. And Anakin saved Luke. Luke believed in him, and Anakin proved him right. Leia trusts Luke and his ideas, so I can't imagine she'd be unfazed and unaffected about the fact that he was right and that their father loves them enough to turn from the dark side, and save Luke. Anakin saving Luke is the reason why she still has a brother, so I figure she'd be appreciative (if not grateful).
Also, Leia is a lot like Anakin. I'm not saying she has to have a perfect relationship with him, or completely forgive him like Luke, but understanding him as a person (in Tatooine Ghost at least) makes her understand herself, and be less judgemental. Han, by the way, is fundamental in this, he's the one who points things out about Anakin, being very understanding of him, and that's when Leia reanalyzes all of it. So she gets to see her father as a flawed and yet, at the beginning, good person, who was loved by his mom, cared for his friends and helped those in need.
So yeah, i think having Leia be resentful, and choosing not to learn anything about her father other than him being Vader is a complete and utter disservice to who she is and both where she comes from and where she wants to go in her life. Leia had a lot of anger and fear in her, and precisely because of it she needs to see Anakin in that way, as a good but terrified and angry young man, who had an incredibly big weight on his shoulders and ended up choosing a bad path. Mostly, I think it reduces her to be harsh in a way that she's actually not. Lando "betrayed" them to Vader, and she loathed him, but she forgave him, understood why he did it and eventually became close friends with him. Even if she wasn't planning on forgiving Anakin any time soon, she would've heard him out if he'd shown up and talked to her. In fact, I personally think she would've demanded an explanation.
There's many things I don't like about the EU, but one I truly do is the fact that she named her youngest son after Anakin. I think that's a choice that is very much in character for her, and shows her as the complex, multilayered person she is and deserves to be depicted as. The current choices regarding her character seem to me like a very biased and unfair portrayal.
Leia Organa & Darth Vader
I have always thought there´s so much potential there honestly.
Tumblr media
Just looking at the few scenes of them together in a New Hope, the first thing Leia said to Vader was "Lord Vader only you would be so bold" or "Tarkin´s loyal dog Vader" while Vader was like "This isn´t one of your mercy missions Princess" and the way he says "You are part of the rebel alliance and a traitor" is full of emotion, he´s pissed she´s part of the rebel alliance but he isn´t treating her as an enemy yet, to his enemies he´s extremely cold, only says the bare minimum of words and doesn´t hold back when fighting them, with Leia he´s acting as if she´s someone he knew and feels dissapointed they joined the alliance.
Tumblr media
It´s obvious they have seen each other before, most probably on the Senate, for Leia Vader´s isn´t that "mysterious right hand of the Emperor whose presence means death" he´s someone she can be sassy or insult to his face without inmediate consequences given her diplomatic inmunity. In fact I think the reason Alderaan´s destruction took her competely by surprise was because she didn´t expect the Empire to actually declare her and her world as enemies of the estate, because that didn´t happen in her previous missons.
Tumblr media
Now contrast this with Vader and Leia on Empire Strikes Back and they are definitely enemies and no, they are no talking about it any longer. Leia doesn´t have to say anything, she hates Vader with a passion and Vader doesn´t try to justify himself to her about Alderaan because while he was agaisn´t the order of destroying it(In fact Tarkin made the decision on his own, without consulting anyone) despite the fact Vader hated the whole idea of the Death Star, he still didn´t stop the destruction of the planet and Leia is now part of a guerrilla group looking to end the Empire, they don´t have anything to talk about anymore but curiously, she was the only one left alone on cloud city.
Tumblr media
But once Leia learns from Luke they are twins and Vader is their father, after the shock left her, she says "Somehow I have always know" wow, why isn´t disney doing anything with this?, Leia has all the right to be furious at Vader for not noticing she was his daughter but Vader at this point had decades mourning Padme and their kid, who he thought was going to be a girl, Padme was buried with her baby bump by doing this, Yoda, Obi-Wan and Bail effectively made Vader believe he killed his wife and his baby, I know they did this to hide them from the Emperor but Vader would see it in a different way, I don´t think Anakin thinks he ever abandoned his kids, given the chance, dark side or not, jedi or not, Anakin valued family over both Jedi and Sith, he gave up the darkside and his literal kingdom to protect them, he would have never abandoned his kids if he knew they were alive.
Tumblr media
I think this is also the reason why Vader insisted on calling Leia "Princess" "Alderaan´s Princess" even after Alderaan´s destruction, this is his way of putting distance between them, "She´s Organa´s daughter" no matter what similarities he saw between her and Padme or between her and himself, he can´t allow himself the delusion of his daughter possibly being alive, it hurts too much more than his other hurts, what if it´s just his own mind playing tricks to him? but if this is true, this would mean people used Padme´s funeral to make him believe his child was dead and that his Master lied to him about Padme´s death and he probably can´t deal with that emotionally without going completely insane, he only manages to do that with Luke once after two decades of distance.
Tumblr media
Going back to Leia, once she learned about Vader and her blood links, she can´t deal with that either, she manages to deny it and go on with her life but unlike Vader and Luke, she never got closure about any of this, she never got the oportunity to at least scream at him all her hurts like she did in legends, this is why on this instance I prefer Lengeds, Anakin Force Ghost went to Leia to ask her forgiveness for fear of her falling to the darkside and didn´t leave until she screamed at him to leave her alone and never come back, as strange as that may sound, that moment allowed legends Leia start to heal and let go of her hate without justifiying her father, she even learned about his childhood on Tatooine. The mere fact he appeared for her, was worried for her, wanted her to be happy let go of her hate, even if he was never forgiven, meant he recognized her as his daughter and that his loving Luke didn´t mean he loved her any less or that he would have not die for her like he did for Luke.
Tumblr media
But in the current canon, their relationship stayed completely buried/ignored like an open wound until she was forced to deal with that because the Senate found out about it and because of her Son and still she hasn´t managed to make anything about it, except trust what Luke said to her about him because that can help her deal with her lose of her own Son and imo it´s completely OOC for Force Ghost Anakin to stay out of one of his kids life if it would help her confront him at least once, I honestly don´t see how they justify it because it doesn´t make sense. Anakin Skywalker isn´t one to stay out of his loved ones life if he can do something to help them, this is one of the reasons why the current canon about them is so dissapointing to me, but well there´s still fanfic. :) I just have too many feelings about them.

Dark Danny Should’ve Come Back at Least Once
I think most of the Phandom can agree that The Ultimate Enemy was one of the best Danny Phantom episodes ever made, and for good reason. It was incredibly dark of a kid’s cartoon, especially one made by Bitch Hartman, and on top of that, it provided some very interesting lore and characters. We get to see Danny pushed to his absolute emotional limit in a way that I don’t think the show ever did before, save maybe for My Brother’s Keeper in season 1, and we get our first glimpse at Clockwork, who thanks to @five-rivers fanfic Mortified, has become one of my favorite DP characters. And of course, we get to see Dark Danny, or Dan.
But there’s one little thing about this episode that’s always bothered me: the very ending.
Because at the very end of TUE, we get a shot of the Fenton thermos that Dan is sealed away in rocking back and forth, before Dan’s face forms a massive dent in the side, his laughter echoing as the screen fades to the end credits.
You would think, with an ending like that, that Dan would come back in a later episode. That he would return in the series finale is this last big bad, this final demon for Danny to confront once and for all.
But that’s not what happens. And it kinda pisses me off.
Dan should’ve come back. We should have gotten at least one more episode with this guy, exploring more of his character, more of his side of the story, anything at all. And you know what would be a great way to do this?
Vlad.
Imagine this, if you will.
Dan makes his escape from Clockwork’s lair, dead set on finishing what he started. Eventually, he discovers Vlad’s portal (let’s say that Vlad decided to rebuild his here) and, upon coming face to face with the man who made him like this in the first place, freaks out. Dan makes an attempt on Vlad’s life, and Vlad just barely manages to escape.
Once Vlad is sure this strange new ghost won’t find him so easily, he realizes that this new ghost had Danny’s insignia on his chest, and puts it together that Danny must be involved in this somehow.
So Vlad makes his way to Amity Park to confront Danny about this new ghost. Danny assumes that Vlad is there to try to kill Jack or whatever, the two get into a massive fistfight, before Vlad finally tells Danny that he’s only here because a strange new ghost wearing Danny’s insignia popped out of his portal this morning attempting to kill him a second time.
And Danny freezes. He goes from snarky and flippant to sheer, raw terror that has Vlad actually worried. Danny demands to know what this new ghost looks like, and Vlad’s concern turns to fear when Danny’s face goes white with horror because this is the same kid who went up against Pariah Dark without a second thought, who has faced countless ghosts who’s powers could be considered godly with a fearless smile on his face, and Vlad may not have much respect for Danny but he knows what the kid lacks in intelligence he more than makes up for in bravery.
Meaning that whoever this new ghost is must be incredibly powerful, incredibly horrific, and incredibly dangerous.
Danny tells Vlad to go to Danny’s house and tell them to put the ghost shields surrounding the town up, to not try anything funny, and don’t. Leave. The Shields. No matter what.
For once, Vlad decides to take Danny’s lead. He appears on the Fenton’s doorstep, Armani suit ruffled and hair disheveled, telling them that there is a very powerful ghost making it’s way toward Amity Park and they need to put the ghost shields up now, or risk a Pariah Dark-level threat again.
Then Vlad makes his way toward the edge of town, because he still hasn’t gotten an answer from Danny as to who exactly that ghost was, and he’ll be damned if he can’t get an answer.
Meanwhile, Danny is just outside the ghost shields, waiting for Dan to arrive. He’s absolutely terrified, because what if Danny isn’t strong enough this time? What if he fails again, like he almost did before Clockwork turned back time? Would Clockwork do that for him again? Would he have to watch his future burn down this present that he’s taken so long to keep up?
Then Dan arrives. Right as Vlad makes it to the edge of the shield.
And Vlad watches with awe as the two fight. He watches as Danny holds his own against this ghost that had almost decimated Vlad barely 2 hours prior, watches as Danny outmaneuvers, outsmarts this menace, watches as Danny fights tooth and nail in a way that Vlad is sure he’s never seen before, and he realizes that Danny has been holding back. Maybe not at first, maybe not during those first few months, but definitely for a while now, because Danny is holding his own now when Vlad couldn’t.
But then that leaves the question as to why? Why is Danny going all out now? Why was he so scared of this new ghost? More importantly, when did Danny encounter this guy?
Because he had to have fought this ghost at least once before, to have had that reaction to Vlad’s description.
And then, he hears the other ghost’s voice, one that sounds like a strange mixture of his and Danny’s, and he hears him say “It doesn’t matter what you do, Danny. You might’ve stopped that explosion, but there are still so many other things that lead to me. A car crash, an unlucky ghost attack, the ecto-filtrator, Vlad getting lucky, all of them could still happen. Your friends, your family, all gone, and you still turn into me.”
And suddenly, everything makes sense. That ghost that Danny’s fighting, that ghost that attacked Vlad, that is Danny, or it was, before something twisted him into an unrecognizable monster, and Vlad has a creeping suspicion that it has something to do with him.  And he realizes that Danny is so much more than he ever gave him credit for. He sees Danny, fighting his own future with a hope that Vlad would call naive if not for the fact that Danny had already thwarted whatever horrible future lead to this at least once before, and he understands that he was wrong about Danny.
Because this? Fighting against the personification of all the worst parts of yourself not once, but at least twice? It would require a maturity, a strength of will that Vlad knows he himself lacks, and he comes to the stunning realization that for all the childish quips and petty pranks, Danny is far more mature than Vlad ever was, far stronger than Vlad ever was.
And then, Danny does the ghostly wail.
And if Vlad was surprised before, then he's absolutely terrified now. That’s enough power to destroy an entire city, that single wail, and the sound is a bone-chilling scream that rubs the older halfa wrong in every way possible because that sound should not come from someone as young as Danny.
And now Vlad is caught between two realizations: that Danny is so much stronger than Vlad could ever be in every sense of the word, and that the only reason Danny is that strong is because he has to be, because he’s a child being forced to go against all manner of ghostly and cosmic horror all on his own, and Vlad suddenly feels intensely guilty because he should’ve been helping Danny, and instead he’s done nothing but make his life harder.
At that point, Jack and Maddie arrive. They freak out because Vlad is so close to Phantom and this other extremely powerful ghost, what the hell is he thinking!? And Vlad is trying desperately to get them to leave, because Danny looks exhausted and Vlad might be an ass, but he’s starting his redemption arc now and that means making sure Danny’s secret, and by extension Danny himself, is safe from his parents. Vlad knows what it’s like to be on an examination table, knows how terrifying it is to have doctors looming over you with knives and bright lights while you have no idea what’s going on, and he’ll be damned if he lets Danny (who he again reminds himself is very much still a child) go through that with his own parents.
But it’s too late. Danny detransforms right there on the street, in full view of Jack and Maddie and everyone else who’s gathered there (Dan’s been sucked back in the thermos at this point).
Danny turns around, covered in scratches and burns and bruises, blood in his mouth from where Dan punched him in the lip, left arm hanging in an unnatural angle, and he sees everyone: He sees Vlad, icy blue eyes so similar to Danny’s own filled with uncharacteristic worry.
He sees Sam and Tucker, both with wide, scared eyes, and he can just barely see the faint shimmer of tears gathering in their eyes.
He sees Jazz, face pale and her knuckles white as she grips the Fenton peeler with all her strength.
He sees Valerie, her helmet down and exposing a flurry of emotions ranging from shock to anger to horror to pain.
He sees his mom and dad, clinging to each other as they stare at Danny, at their son, and come to the realization that their son is dead, their son is a ghost and he has been for a while now and how did they never notice? How could they not notice that they had been shooting at their own son for at least a year now, that their boy had been putting his afterlife on the line for them while also trying to keep up with school, and evade capture by the GIW, all at the same time?
And Danny is scared, he’s so scared, because his parents look horrified of him and they think he’s a monster, and they hate him, because why else would they be looking at him like that?
He feels his fathers arms wrapping around him and he’s sure, he’s so sure that they’re about to haul him off to their lab to be pinned down and dissected by his own parents, because they saw Dan, they saw what he would become, they saw what he is now, they know now. But then his mom and dad start apologizing, because they never noticed, and they should’ve, they should’ve seen that Danny’s low grades and missed curfews and skipped classes were because he was putting his life on the line for everyone in this town over and over and over again. They apologize for not making him feel safe in his own house, because how many times did they rant about dissecting their own son right in front of him? How many times had Jack and Maddie shown Danny a dissected blob ghost and effectively told him that he was the next one on the list? How much hell did their own son have to go through on his own, because his own parents couldn’t see what was right there?
And Danny finally realizes that no, he’s not going to end up on a dissection table, that his parents do accept him as he is now.
But there’s still this lingering fear because they don’t know. They don’t know what Danny might turn into, and he can’t keep that from them anymore, because Dan is a secret he can’t keep anymore.
Jack and Maddie are confused when their son pulls away, and for a moment they’re worried that Danny’s upset with them, that he’s angry at them, because why wouldn’t he be?
Then they see this nervousness, they see how he’s shaking and tense, and they might not always be able to read the room that well but they can tell that there’s something else going on here that Danny wants to tell them, even if he’s scared to.
So Jack and Maddie ask Danny if he wants to talk about whatever it is back at the house, and Danny says yes, but Vlad, Sam, Tucker, and Jazz should also be there, because Danny needs some level of support and he knows that Vlad won’t stop pestering him about Dan until he tells him.
Valerie steps in at this point, finally getting over her shock to demand to know what the hells going on, was Danny Phantom the whole time? Who was that other ghost? Why did that other ghost say that Danny would turn into him?
Sam and Tucker, who have been through the emotional wringer watching their best friend fight his evil future self, then reveal his identity to his parents, are kinda pissed at Valerie, because Danny’s already stressed out enough as is, she doesn’t need to be adding on to it. A fight almost breaks out between the three of them, which only stopped when Vlad of all people, steps in saying that while Valerie does have a right to know what’s going on, all of this yelling will do nothing but cause problems.
The three simmer down, and they all head over to the Fenton’s house, where Danny tells them everything: the portal, Pariah Dark (Vlad suddenly finds a particularly interesting spot on the floor), and Dan. He tells them about how Jack, Maddie, Jazz, Sam, and Tucker died in an explosion in that timeline, how that timeline’s Danny turned to Vlad to take him in, how Alt!Danny asked Vlad to remove his human half so he wouldn’t feel that pain anymore. How Alt!Phantom had been driven insane by the separation (he leaves out the part where Phantom fuses with Vlad’s ghost half: he’s not sure Vlad wants him to tell them about his halfa status), killing his human half before destroying most of humanity. How Danny had been forced to fight Dan a year ago, when he had attempted to blow up his friends in family in this timeline to ensure Dan’s recreation here.
When he’s finally done, about an hour and a half later, Danny looks around the room: at Valerie, at Vlad, at his best friends, at his sister, at his parents, and he sees not only acceptance, but respect. Pride. Because they saw that Danny was willing to look his fate in the eye, and say that he would change it no matter what. They saw him fight tooth and nail to protect them, they saw him defend them from his own demons with a bravery most grown adults don’t have, much less a 14 year old boy.
And they accept him.

Endeavor with a quirkless child
These headcanons had already been requested before, but it felt like they were a bit messy and rushed so I opted to remake it as much as I could. Hope you enjoy it. This is going to be a long post.
Part 2 - Part 3
WARNING: Mentions of child negligence, panic attacks, mentions of abuse.
• You are Shoto's twin sister and youngest of the Todoroki siblings, your birth was a surprise for the whole family since the doctors only noticed one baby during the whole pregnancy and Rei didn't even look like she was carrying twins.
• You have your father's hair and eye color while the rest came from your mother, being a carbon copy of her with the same facial features and eye shape, it was like seeing Rei with a red wig and contacts.
• When Shoto's quirk manifested but yours didn't Enji waited for a while, but eventually he suspected his daughter was quirkless when there was no change, he took you to the doctor anyways, to confirm his suspicion.
• His guess had been right, you were indeed quirkless, after the doctor gave the diagnosis his whole attitude had changed, he barely paid you attention on the way home, but the moment you came back home it was like you didn't even exist, he wouldn't even look at you.
• His treatment caused a huge rift between you and your twin, Shoto wished your father would ignore him like he did to you, you wished he would at least remember your name. your other siblings -especially Touya- and your mother made sure to show you as much affection as possible, with Rei it was a bit harder though, she loved you but the sight of your hair and eye color would made her uneasy, then everything started going downhill.
• Her mental health had been greatly affected by your father's constant abuse, this proved to be fatal the day she accidently hurt Shoto, your father didn't hesitate when he sent her away. Then the day Touya died the rift got worse. Fuyumi ended up having to step in and take care of Shoto, who you barely talked or interacted with, your father made sure you wouldn't go anywhere near his "masterpiece" and distract him from his training, Natsuo took over Touya's place and helped take care of you, trying to spend as much time with you as possible, out of all your family you ended up taking after him the most.
• Eventually you ended up spending less time with Natsuo and Fuyumi, Natsuo was busy in high school and with after school activities, sometimes he wouldn't even sleep home, staying over his at his friend's house during study session. Meanwhile Fuyumi started college, she was always busy with her studies and with chores, sometimes you'd try helping her when it was obvious how stressed out she was. Being home alone with people that treated you like a ghost was hard. By the time Shoto and you were about to start high school there was no difference in your relationship, the two of you barely knew each other, let alone talk.
• Neither Shoto or your Dad realized you were also going to attend class in U.A., you had done everything yourself and convinced Fuyumi of helping you when it came to sign important stuff.
• A few days before school started you made the decision to dye your hair -sporting a pixie cut- a different color in order to avoid being recognized as a Todoroki, being in the Support department meant you'd probably end up interacting with your brother's class, and the last thing you wanted was to get his attention.
• It was during the sports festival people found out you were Endeavor's child. apart from your classmates and the school staff nobody else in school was aware you were a Todoroki. Personally you blamed Present Mic, he had been so excited during the obstacles race and accidently yelled out your full name, (Name) Todoroki. You could feel your heart rate dropping significantly, your secret was out.
• "EEEEEHHHH?!?!?!?!"
• The whole stadium was in chaos, everyone was yelling, you could hear some of Shoto's classmates screaming "that's your sister?!" Your brother was speechless, Fuyumi and Natsuo knew this would happen, the whole school was shocked. For the first time in years your Father had noticed you...and he was furious.
• During the Cavalry Battle the feeling of your father staring your way was pretty obvious, even from afar the feeling of his glare almost digging a hole into the back of your head was pretty obvious.
• After the Cavalry battle was over and the other activities started many students were trying to approach you, thankfully your friends made it easier to escape. It wasn't a surprise this would happen once people realized who you were, but to suddenly being roughly grabbed by the arm and dragged away by your father as soon as you were in the clear certainly was a surprise you did not see coming.
• Endeavor had confronted you, what were you doing in U.A. distracting Shoto and what had you done to your hair, he still hadn't let go of your now aching arm, you could only wince by how much it hurt, a bruise would definitely appear.
• "If you paid any attention you would know I'm staying as far away from him just like you ordered or did you forget I'm not allowed to talk to my own brother because I'm nothing more than a failure?" He wasn't expecting you to talk back, neither did he expect the way you glared at him, it was a glare filled with spite and frustration, he recognized that kind of look, it was the same way he glared at All Might. It was an Irony, his youngest daughter may not have a quirk, and she may have her mother's face, but that glare was one-hundred percent his, it easily rivaled Shoto's.
• The moment he made a threat about pulling you out of school he quickly regreted his words "So that's how it is? you're going to get rid of another distraction aren't you? Just like you did with Mom!? Just like you did with Touya?!" the shock of your words quickly made him let go of your arm on reflex, an ugly bruise had already shown up.
• It was at that moment Enji finally took a good look at you, he was expecting a scared and docile child, but now? that look filled with hatred was proof enough you weren't said kid anymore. Before he could do anything else you had already ran away from him, neither of you had noticed Shoto had been listening on the conversation.
• After the Sports Festival was over the whole school went on break, during those days Enji slowly started to notice your presence around the house, every now and then he would hear Fuyumi and you talking, the conversations were often short, he asked her about it, She mentioned that you were often on your phone talking with Natsuo when he wasn't busy with college since he was closer to you than her, sometimes it made her sad to know you were closer to him, but you always made sure to let her know how much you appreciated her, it's just that Shoto needed her more than you did.
• The relationship with Shoto a bit more complex, it was hard for him to talk to you considering your habit of avoiding him, at first he felt hurt, but with some time and patience you eventually stopped, the both of you would make small talk every now and then, it was awkward but it was a start, the truth is the both of you hadn't really made an attempt to talk. Until the day you had run into each other when he went to visit your mother, who you often visited since middle school, Rei had thought you two were getting along and was so happy, neither of you had the courage to tell her it had been just a coincidence so you both opted to make an effort to mend your relationship as siblings. As a way to start over he offered to introduce you to his classmates once class started again, you did the same.
• When it came to Enji though, it was obvious you were ignoring him, If he came into the same room you were in, you would get up and leave without hesitation. You wouldn't answer if he tried to talk to you and if he insisted all he'd get was a blank look or a glare, a snappy response every now an then.
• The only time you wouldn't leave was during dinner, mostly because Fuyumi and Shoto convinced you to stay, otherwise you would have stayed in your room, the dinner had been awkward, you had stayed and talked with your siblings, but refused to acknowledge your father's existence. Enji was starting to get annoyed by your "childish demeanor".
• During the internships he contacted the support company that was in charge of his costume, they were more than happy to offer "Endeavor's daughter" an internship with them. When you found out you had been furious, the moment they contacted you they never referred to you as anything other than his daughter, you hated it, all the blood, sweat and tears you put into your work and what do they call you? "Endeavor's Daughter", Not (Name) Todoroki.
• Enji and you had an argument, you had rejected the internship, you were going to get it based on your achievements, not with his help. He told you "The mere fact you have my last name is already helping you being noticed, you're still a child, you could use their help!" you gave him an incredulous look, This.meant.war.
• A few days later he barged into your room after receiving a notification with a huge bill on his credit card from an expensive hair salon (Shoto had stolen his credit card and took you to get your hair done by a professional recommended by Kirishima, turns out you had messed up with your hair dye).
• Enji noticed you weren't there but your laptop was left on, the content on the screen caught his attention, you had an assignment from school that consisted of creating a Powerpoint presentation where you had to recommend ideas for support items or upgrades for official Pro-heroes, maybe it was bad luck or someone thought it would be a nice joke, but you ended up being assigned to work on his hero costume. What caught his attention was how your work was so professional.
• The presentation had a picture a journalist had taken of him during patrol, he had to admit you actually picked one of his favorite ones. The presentation itself was nicely elaborated, you were meticulously pointing out how his costume worked, the materials used so the costume wouldn't burn away by his flames, how some aspects could be better and possible upgrades that could be implemented without changing the design as well, an example was a temperature regulator like the one present on Shoto's newest costume. He was impressed nonetheless.
• Besides the Laptop was a stack of papers, they were your notes from school, test results and report cards, he felt like a child peeking on something he shouldn't. the only thing he could think to defend himself was "As your father I have the right to know about your grades" while looking thought the report card. It was excellent, all of your subjects had perfect scores, every single question on every single test was answered correctly. There was post-it notes from your teacher congratulating you for your grades, even letters with offers for possible internships with other support agencies. You were easily the Number 1 student in the support course. All this time he thought you only went to U.A. to mess around with Shoto. He didn't realize you were a genius. No wonder you had been so angry.
• By the time Shoto and you were back Enji wanted to talk to you about your grades, but stopped in his tracks when he saw what you had done to your hair this time. It was blond, but not any shade of bond, it was exactly the same color as All Might's. He nearly burned down the house.
• It wasn't until All Might's fight against All for One that Enji began to think about the things he did and the lives he ruined, how his actions ended up breaking Rei to the point she had to be sent to a hospital, the ways he hurt all of his family, how the majority of his children probably despised him, and what he could do to try and fix his mistakes. The day he was forced to take the mantle of the No.1 Hero left a bitter taste on his mouth, how could he accept the title of the new symbol of peace?!
• After his conversation with All-Might about the true meaning of being a hero, he made an oath to try and fix his relationship with his family...he wished it was that easy. He didn't know where to start.
• He tried to be more present in your lives, He asked Fuyumi when was your birthday: "It's on January 11" "No, that's Shoto's birthday" Fuyumi didn't know wether to laugh or cry in frustration "...Dad...they're twins..." "..."
• Enji would leave gifts outside of your door, hours later he would find them in the trash, not even opened. He tried to be present during Shoto's hero license course just to end up being ignored, when he told him he would become a hero his son could be proud of, boy did you rub off on Shoto pretty quick. "Maybe you should start by becoming a half-decent father to begin with" ...Ouch...
• After the fight with the high-end nomu he ended up on the hospital in critical condition, during one of his visits Hawks told him a young fan had asked about his condition, he paid no attention to that. Enji was released from the hospital and came home to find all his children having lunch, Natsuo, Shoto and you were busy slurping soba, but you were not looking at him or anyone else, there was a mix of doubt and distress on your face.
• When Natsuo tried to leave, Enji tried to stop him to stay and talk, all hell broke loose, he talked about how their mother and Fuyumi were trying to forgive him, about growing up having to hear Rei screaming and Shoto crying, he talked about Touya, and then he mentioned you, the look you gave Natsuo was a plead to stop, but he didn't. He was furious.
• "I know you complained about her hair, but do you even know why (Name) did it in the first place?! The first time she went with us to see mom she had a relapse when she saw (Name) because her hair reminded her of everything she went through! (Name) ended up having a breakdown once we came back home, I went looking for her when I heard her screaming and you know what I saw? I saw my little sister with a pair of scissors and almost all of her hair cut off!" Enji was speechless, he thought it was just teenage rebellion or pettiness, you couldn't help but look away in shame.
• That night Shoto talked to him, he knew the reason you were so down, you both had moved into the school dorms and were together when the Nomu attacked, he was there when you had a panic attack the moment everyone thought the Nomu had killed him, it took a long time for his teacher to calm you down, the aftermath ended up leaving you with an internal conflict. Then Enji found out it was you who had gone to the hospital, YOU, the daughter he had neglected the most out of all his children.
• Didn't you hate him? Why had you been so afraid if you "hated" him? did you wanted to forgive him? yes, he's your father, but did you have to? did he deserve it? all those thoughts had gone through your head during that moment, you weren't on good terms with him, but you didn't want him dead either.
• He made the decision to talk to you in private.
• You had been confused when your teacher said you were needed at home after class, and someone would come pick you up. Why hadn't Shoto been called?
• You didn't expect to see Endeavor's personal chauffer waiting outside, along with your father who said he needed to talk to you in private.
• The ride was awkward and silent, Enji noticed your body language, back rigid, hands gripping tightly on your uniform, slight shaking, you were clearly nervous and uncomfortable, this was the first time you two had been this close to each other. Until the car stopped in front of a place that made you relax a bit, it was your favorite cafe.
• He found out you frequented this place through social media, He saw a few pics from people mentioning how the Todoroki twins came at least once a week. it was small and cozy place, it felt like home.
• Once you both had picked a table away from other customers and ordered your drinks did Enji start speaking.
• He didn't realize how much his treatment had affected your whole family until it was too late, he asked for your forgiveness for everything he did to you and the others, for being a terrible father, for the way he neglected you, for the way he screamed at you once for trying to talk to Shoto when you were younger, for not realizing how much potential you had. Then he handed you a folder.
• "These are papers for an emancipation request, if you want to move away from home I won't reject your decision, and I'll provide you with all the financial support you ask for, all you have to do is sign the document, a lawyer will take care of everything else and work as an intermediary if you wish not to talk anymore, I'll understand".
• Enji thought you would sign right away by your silence, that you were reviewing the details of his offer, he didn't consider you would close the folder, there was no anger or fear in your face, you were calm.
• "Please understand one thing...I...I'd like to say that I forgive you, I don't...hate you, but you just can't expect things to change overnight, it's not that easy, you hurt our family for years. If you really want me to forgive you...prove me you can change, if you're willing to make up for everything, not with money or connections, but with your actions, maybe, just maybe I can actually see you as my da--as my f-father" you reached out for a handshake, a truce, he looked at your hand for a few seconds before reaching out, you were giving him a chance, and he would make sure not to waste it.
• Slowly your dynamic changed, the first time he noticed was when you stopped ignoring him like before, something as simple as a "good morning" was enough, dinner wasn't awkward between the two of you anymore, Natsuo was still hesitant to forgive him, but he was being civilized for your sake. Fuyumi was so happy when she noticed you stopped reaching out for her to sign anything school related, now Enji was the one taking care of everything, making sure to let you know he was proud of your work.
• How did he realize you were starting to make amends? Your hair.
• A few months later Enji heard you and Shoto talking in the living room. "Your roots are starting to show, are you going to retouch your hair soon?" "ah...no, not anymore" you ran your fingers through it, your red hair was clearly visible, it was starting to look like a bob cut "I'm going to leave it natural again". You were finally starting to accept him.
I'm considering doing a part 2 mainly from Shoto's perspective, I have some headcanons that would fit him instead of Enji.
