sassapis cbs ghosts is such a fantastic character. he's a 500 year old bitter old man. he's a young unfulfilled 20-something. he can go into people's dreams but mostly uses it to ask for food. he starts drama for fun. he's the most up-to-date on pop culture of all the ghosts. he's an indigenous guy who watched the colonization of his homeland for the past 500 years. he gets microaggressed on the daily for his asexuality. we still don't know how he died

watched the latest episode of cbs ghosts as of right now (S4xE17) and I loved it for the most part!!!!! But I really don't like the concept of the ghosts being able to leave the property (isn't Pete enough??? ahh!!) so I'm not the most excited with what it's setting up... but hell yeah Sasappis episode!!! hell yeah Shiki mention!!! HELL yeah JOAN!!!! LOVE JOAN LOVE!!!

adding onto the discussion abt Sasappis being ace, to me it isn't just about the fact that he's a virgin.

maybe I’m insane but when bringing up Sasappis’ past failed relationships, I just kinda think of them as the way Isaac was flirting with Hetty in Thorapy. It just feels to me like he’s trying to prove something to not only himself but everyone else too. A big thing aspect of his dynamics with Jessica and Marissa/Jay was that he was less interested in them in a romantic sense but just in them as people. He was fascinated by all the places that Jessica had been and all her stories and the main thing he enjoyed was talking with Marisa/Jay. While he did mention that he found them hot, he focused more on the emotional connection and on the conversations they had. And on the topic of Shiki who he barely knew, that sort of reminds me of when I thought I had a crush on almost every guy in my class bc I wasn’t sure what crushes were supposed to feel like and I didn’t know I was a lesbian yet. And the fact that with Marissa/Jay he couldn't quite distinguish between just hanging out and flirting also feels kinda queer to me. Maybe I’m projecting, but just the way that Sass has been interacting romantically with other characters feels very queer to me. Also, the fact that the biggest relationships he has is very strong but also very platonic, and his discussion of feeling left behind when his best friend prioritizes his romantic relationships also feels like a queer thing.

We are all aware that by how they died, most of the ghosts should look so much worse, right? We still appreciate them not looking as horrid as they probably should? Yes, we do.

Sometimes I get sad thinking about how Nigel died a whole continent away from home. He died in the country he was fighting a war in. He's stuck in a completely different country from his own home and he's not even anywhere close to England. He has to stay there for eternity 😭
