Movie adaptation: well it's just so hard to fit the entire story into a short 2 hours and the limitations of live action actors and CGI we really had no choice but to fuck it up–

The musical adaptation, pantomiming half the set: skill issue

#like there's a few mid or bad musical adaptations but usually they're such bangers #especially compared to the live action movie adaptations. maybe because theatre people actually know the importance of medium #Spongebob the Musical. Death Note the Musical. The Lightning Thief musical.#even the Phantom of the Opera was adapted from a book and is far superior to any live action #and at least the 'bad' musical adaptations tend to have fun songs (Mean Girls. Shrek)#this thought came to me listening to Borrowed Time which makes the musical adaptation of Misa from Death Note #the best version of her character

They *all* get a chance to be featured.#Cooperation was the real end goal! However I do think these two have the best frontman energy of the group.#Or at least 'crowd favourite' energy. I also really loved hearing what people thought their vocal styles would be like!#This was probably one of my favourite polls to do and I love drawing these characters a lot B*)#I'd love to spend a bit more time in this AU so count on me bringing it back.#One thing I keep feeling like I need to redeem myself on is Madam Lan's Translucent skirt. I have *not* done the concept justice yet.#It is such a crack-platonic ship but I want to think Madam Lan and A-Qing would enjoy each other's company.#Possibly also with JYL as well. They can be like mutually beneficial therapy dogs to each other.#Madam Lan never got to see her kids grow up into teenagers after all. She only had sons. Never daughters.#Even if she saw her kids once a month we do know she treated them with so much love and kindness.#She would bite the shit out of YZY for yelling at JYL. What a sight to see. Hot take, but something about this scene with what it does to Annabeth’s character, and what it represents really bothers me.

For context, she, Hazel and Piper are being cornered by Octavian and two other roman soldiers at Charleston Harbor. At this point they are the only enemies present, but they know others are quickly approaching. They have to get back to the Argo II, so that they, Frank, Leo, Jason, Percy and Hedge can escape and continue to safely sail/ fly to Rome. So, Annabeth drops her dagger into the lake and calls on Percy for help, who then easily defeats Octavian and the others.

My question is why make her do that?

It’s a three against three fight.

Even if we assume that, at this point in time, Piper hadn’t trained much and wouldn’t be able to hold her own in a fight (even though she has spent around 6 months training in camp halfblood), Annabeth and Hazel on their own should have been able to defeat Octavian and two no-name roman soldiers fairly easily.

Hazel is probably the second or third most powerful demigod after Percy and maybe Nico, and Annabeth is a war veteran, who has trained in Camp Half-Blood since she was seven years old and has been part of three quests. Yet, they need Percy to bail them out?

I understand that this is simply supposed to be a cute moment, and Rick Riordan probably didn’t think much about it, but it represents a very annoying trend in his writing, in which he focuses more on portraying Percy and Annabeth as the "perfect couple", than on developing their individual characters, and honestly the more I reread hoo the more tried I get of it, and the less I like Percabeth as a romantic relationship.

Like, it's insane how much more I like both characters when they are not around one another in that series.

Did you know that there are actually 2 Saiki K 3ds games?

This one is called 「照橋心美のΨ難いっぱいおっふ」 [The Disastrous Life of Teruhashi Kokomi: A lot of offu].

At first you play as Teruhashi against Nendou, Kaidou, Hairo, Toritsuka, Kuboyasu and Kusuo.

After beating all of them, you can play as them against Teruhashi and Kuriko.

You unlock Kuriko when you get S on her and Teruhashi.

Translation of characters' descriptions below. Other information in tags.

Teruhashi Kokomi: The ultimate most beloved girl. When you meet her, the first thing you'll do is say "offu". With her deadly "Angel Upwards Beam" she will destroy the walls of your heart.

Saiki Kusuo: A boy who controls various superpowers. With psychokinesis, he splits the ball and relentlessly attacks! He creates a wall, making his defense perfect.

Nendou Riki: His nickname is "mysterious idiot". The attack he unleashes charges single-mindedly forwards. It won't stop no matter what happens!

Kaidou Shun: Everyone acknowledges him as a chuunibyou. With his sealed, forbidden thunder, he can erase 10 blocks from this world.

X6: (Says nothing while shuffling on his own two feet, hands in his pockets)

MacCready: “Can’t you just… Tone it down a notch or two?”

Jasmine: (Throws up her hands) “It’s Halloween!!! It’s suppose to freak you out!!! That’s the point!!!”

Piper: “After all the spooky scares we pulled on each other during the prank war- we all are a bit tender!!! So give us a break! Now we have to worry about some vengeance filled Mexican lady coming after us!”

Jasmine: (Rolls her eyes) “¡Cobardes! Y’all are a bunch of sissies! I’ve been hearing this story since I was born and so had most of the kids my age in my neighborhood.”

MacCready: “And I’m pretty sure you kids were living off a gallon of coffee and three hours of sleep all the time!”

Deacon: (Comes out from behind a bush dressed in a white nightgown and a long dark wig) “OoOoOoOoOoOo!!!” (Slowly moves towards the campfire, the smoke machine he set up earlier adding extra dramatic flare)

Jasmine: (Points and gasps) “¡La Llorona!”

MacCready, Danse, and Piper: (Scream bloody murder in sync)

X6: (Stands there stock still as his soul silently leaves his body)

Nick: (Comes running over) “WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!?”

Everyone: (Dives behind RoboDad for protection)

Jasmine: (Runs up and puts her arms around his waist, staring up at him innocently) “Papi- La Llorona wants to take me away and drown me! So you hafta protect me!”

Nick: (Heavy sigh as he picks the teen girl up) “Not the vengeance ghost lady again- haven’t you told enough of those scary stories?”

Jasmine: (Huffs) “No- I haven’t told everyone about El Cucuy yet.”

Nick: (Glances behind him at the trembling adults) “Maybe hold off the scary stories until after Christmas…”

Deacon: (Waves his hands around some more) “OoOoOoOoOo!”

#So the version of La Llorona I heard growing up was that she wouldn’t take adults. Just children.#Specifically children that weren’t listening to their parents and being wild at night.#Especially by the riverside or the lakeside. So as long as we hid behind an adult- we would be safe.#One of my older cousins would tell us this story at night while we were sitting around the fireplace at a river or lake.#And he would hide his speaker in the woods to play her cries to scare us.#But jokes on him because us kids just got ready to go to war with La Llorona. We were ready to square up to the ghost lady.#At night we would look out the windows of whoever house we were at and try to spot her in the distance.#So our Google searches were consisted of “How to summon La Llorona”.#If her cries sounded like they were close- La Llorona was far away. If her cries sounded far away- La Llorona was actually very close.#Anyways- Jasmine likes to tell these stories around campfires. Im really enjoying the Agatha show for now, but wanda maximoff, kate bishop and billy kaplan are my favorite comic book characters of all time and if they treat billy the way they treated wanda in doctor strange 2 and kate in the hawkeye show i will go there and personally assassinate whoever did it
