TOURNAMENT MASTERPOST
propaganda under the cut
12, Clara, Missy
Imagine the 3 worst people you know, who are simultaneously exactly the same and completely different. The epitome of the "Wow These People Are So Weird, Thank God I'm the Normal One" meme. Now imagine putting them together in a box and shaking it around. It's so funny, I love them

Madame Yu would never but oh for one fic where she packs up the kids and flees the jurisdiction. Jiang Cheng and Yanli would be so upset and miss Wei Wuxian and their father and you know, their home & community. Jiang Fengmian feels like he's taken a truck to the face (thanks truck-kun). Wei Wuxian is sure it's all his fault and is deeply distressed. Madame Yu is probably literally possessed. But still. It sucks! leave! Hit the bricks! listen to the meme skeleton that has taken up residence in your head.

The one thing I don't understand about the theory where Piltover and Zaun are teaming up to fight Noxus in the end, is why are Vi and Ekko flying towards Jinx's supposed airship if they're on the same team? Why does Vi NEED to confront Jinx in the middle of a warzone?
We see Ekko in garb that looks like he's on Jinx's side, but we mostly see him with the Firelights in those scenes, and they not decorated in Jinx's colors. Even minor background characters that are on Jinx/Sevika's side have a pink X on the right side of their chest. The Firelights are completely free of any graffiti or markers that would identify them with Jinx, and Vi is in an enforcer uniform. We don't see any other Zaunites in the crowd, but for some reason Vi and Ekko are centering their concentration on Jinx.
I think what's happening is that Ambessa's forces are fighting against Piltover's enforcers, but Jinx isn't helping, she's taking advantage of the chaos. Jinx is probably in Piltover to do something big that Piltover can't defend against since they're preoccupied with Noxus. Jinx will probably think the fight between Noxus and Piltover is the best opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. Vi and Ekko will probably object, they'll say her plan goes too far, and it'll get people killed. The whole scenario will probably be a more extreme mirror to whatever the Silco flashback will reveal about what went down on the Day of Ash and why Vander tried to kill Silco, except this time with magic.

Reading The High Republic means I get to learn new Togruta things:
Their handshake is clasping each other’s wrists, as opposed to the normal handshaking or even the Mando version of clasping each other’s arms.
Their head of state is their Queen, who’s formally known as the Most High Regasa and Supreme Huntress of the United Tribes. She’s known as sovereign of the Togruta government, and is also the planetary leader of Shili. Very powerful. Very cool.
Like all new languages, the first thing I learned about Togruti is a swear word, which shouldn’t be as funny as it should, but I was snickering when the Captain of the Royal Guard basically cussed out the enemy and called them a bunch of fuckers.
I mean look at this

slamming my fist on the table and yelling until y'all get it that when lewis says “battles are ugly when women fight” it does not mean that women aren't brave enough or smart enough or skilled enough to fight. lucy and susan are written throughout the series as being armed, skilled, and joining their people in battle. father christmas gives them weapons. they don't have to sneak around and steal weapons to defy some patriarchal mandate. the point is, when gentleness and valiance and beauty are needed to fight, required by circumstance to give themselves to the bloody mess of war, there is no chivalry or code of honor any more. war is a human inevitably, but when it devolves to the point of the enemy snatching the crown jewel of creation from its throne and putting her on the battlefield to fight, it is not longer a matter of honor or bravery but destructive, vile, gratuitous violence and ruin. in christian mythos, women do fight. women saints are armed, skilled, and standing side by side with their male companions in battle. mary steps on the neck of satan and crushes him. it highlights how evil the enemy is, because a woman in her beauty and glory must fight him. the flower grows teeth and thorns and claws, and she knows how to use them. it's not sexist to say that battles are ugly when women fight — when battles require even the most precious gem of peace, the highest glory and honor of all creation, to get blood on her hands, creation is at the mercy of something terrible and ugly. it does not mean that she doesn't know how to fight. it means she is symbolic of everything that is best and most wonderful and most cherished being called upon because the enemy is so great.

Y’know. Anakin was a real asshole in Ahsoka’s hallucination.
Like. She mentions something about what she’ll be able to teach her padawan one day, since all she’s being taught is how to be a soldier, and Anakin’s like “teaching’s not all it’s cracked up to be”
And like. Asshole move. And Ahsoka rightfully calls him out on it. And he goes on the whole “uuuh I was joking. Lighten up.” Literally a complete jackass.
But beyond how he answered the question, it’s a valid complaint Ahsoka is bringing up! Anakin’s teaching her how to live or die. But Ahsoka wants to be taught how to be a jedi.
What happens after the war is over (order 66 never happens) and she now has to navigate a galaxy without a war? The Jedi take teaching very seriously there’s no greater honor than teaching a padawan. And she’s not being accurately taught, so she will not be able to pass anything on to the next generation.
But Anakin brushes it aside because he simply does not respect her or her wishes. Like. He never wanted a padawan, despite teaching being foundational to the Jedi. And he only took ahsoka in because he started to like her and became attached to her. He doesn’t care about jedi legacy, not really. So he brushes her comment off with a joke.
But in the rest of the vision… idk it didn’t feel like we were supposed view Anakin as entirely wrong here. He wasn’t in the right, he was definitely channeling Vader and being an ass, but he was basically the reason Ahsoka survived the fall, right? Bc he was making her choose life? When Ahsoka wins against him it’s sort of like she’s both learned his lesson and moved beyond him. And then for the rest of the season he’s only talked about in positive ways.
And like. That one line ahsoka said was really powerful in relation to the entire point of the show. What does she have to pass onto her own padawan (Sabine) if she wasn’t properly trained herself? That is, perhaps, the only valid plot question asked in the entire show. And it doesn’t get an answer. It’s never even brought up again.
