The BatKids as the Gotham Region Gym Leaders
Gym Leader Number Eight: Richard (Dick) Grayson (The Flying Type Gym Leader)
Dick as a Gym Leader: Dick is probably the most influential of all the Gotham Region Gym Leaders. He has several more years of experience from all the others, which makes him cut loose a bit more since he already spent most of his earlier years working hard to hone his and his team’s skills. Despite being one of the most playful and lighthearted Gym leaders, he still doesn’t hold back when challenged. Most trainers who challenge and manage to defeat him find themselves hoping to follow in Dick’s example of passion for the craft of battle, but also enjoyment for connection and trust each challenge gives you. Among all the Trainers of Gotham, if not for Bruce Wayne himself, Dick would be considered the face of Pokémon Battling of his region.
Gym Set Up: Dick’s Gym is set up quite similarly to Barbara’s in the sense that both are set up like a maze, instead of relying on knowledge like the earlier Gotham Gyms. The only difference in their set up is that while Barbara’s Gym is meant to lead you to find your way, Dick’s is more a journey of either where you’ve been or where you will be. The Gym will be circus themed, so when you enter a circus tent by the docks you’ll immediately be greeted by a Gym Trainer who will lead you to a rope ladder in the center, and ask you to climb it. Once you do you’ll be on a trapeze platform, and you must swing across each platform where you will meet a Trainer and battle. There will be seven battles in total and each Trainer’s platform will be decorated in the same colors or aesthetic of one of the Gotham Region Gym Leaders, with some of them even (if not all) matching a Pokémon of theirs to that Gym’s type (for example in early game when you make it to the fire/ghost Gym platform (Jason’s Gym), the Gym Trainer may have a Pokémon like Oricorio (ghost type)). Once you defeat all the trainers you’ll swing to a final larger platform across from the one where you originally started, and Dick Grayson himself will swing down in front of you to battle. If you face off against Dick in the beginning of your journey, his Gym Trainers will have teams consisting of Oricorio, Murkrow, Woobat, or Rookidee. If you challenge Dick halfway through your journey his Gym trainers will have teams that include Golbat, Pelipper, Oricorio, Archen, or Talonflame. If you take on Dick at the late stages of your journey his Gym Trainers teams will consist of Oricorio, Skarmory, Hawlucha, Mandibuzz, Fan Rotom, Gliscor, Xatu, and Drifblim.
Gym Team Roster (Early Journey Edition): If you challenge Dick at a Gym battle early into your journey, his team will consist of a Gligar for an early defense against any electric type, a Rufflet because they remind him of Damien in his Robin uniform when he has the hood up, and an Emolga. If you defeat Dick he will hand you the TM for Roost.
Gym Team Roster (Late Journey Edition): When you face off against Dick late into your Journey, he will have a well stacked team. While it may not look the strongest, his years of experience can really drive you into a corner if you’re not careful. His first Pokémon is a Togekiss with great defense. His second team mate is a Gliscor to handle any Electric type Pokémon. His third partner is a Gyarados that can handle any Rock types, as well as offer a great offense. His fourth Pokémon is an Emolga that was given to him as a child by his late parents, because of their hard training Emolga is very swift and hard to hit so it’s a threat to most trainers. His fifth partner is a Braviary that was given to him by Damien when it was a Rufflet. His last Pokémon, while not a flying type in this form, is a Mega Charizard X that was given to him by Bruce, and is one of his most trusted partners. If you manage victory against Dick he will hand you a TM for Aerial Ace.
Vigilante Team: Dick’s vigilante team is one of the most stacked for a very dark reason. Since he’s had to live through Jason’s death, he’s felt safer knowing there’s more hands (or paws… flippers?) on deck, to care for his family or citizens when he can’t get there on time. Mega Charizard X is on the team because of their trust. He has a Salamnce for when raw power is needed and easy transportation. He keeps a Swellow for it’s determined personality. He keeps a Mantine for aquatic assistance. He has a Golbat for stealth, and a Jumpluff for daytime missions with the Titans and to offer comfort to victims.
Civilian Party: When it comes to Dick’s civilian team, he likes to keep the Pokémon he’s closest to on hand, which includes Emolga, Charizard, and Braviary. Out of all the Wayne kids, he’s the one who has taken their image of prestige to heart, so his civilian team has an Altaria and Dragonite to please upper class Gotham, and because he’s fond of their gentle nature.

The BatKids as the Gotham Region Gym Leaders
Gym Leader Number Six: Jason Todd (The Half Fire Half Ghost Type Gym Leader)
Jason as a Gym Leader: Jason as a Gym Leader is more about strength. While other Gym Leaders will test their challengers on more technical skill (Duke their resourcefulness, Steph their cleverness, Tim their strategy, and Cass a trainer’s decision making process), Jason prefers to figure out what the strength of each Trainer and their team is, and how to draw it out of them so they’re better prepared when the battle is over. While Jason could be battled at any point of a Trainer’s journey, he would preferred to be challenged a little past the halfway mark, if not at the end. Most of the Gotham Region’s older residents would describe Jason as a brute, but he has a loyal fan base of usually younger trainers who understand his concerns and intentions.
Gym Set Up: Jason Todd has a flare for dramatics, so his Gym is set in a large abandoned theatre where a trainer is ushered into a large corridor, and waits for a infamous quote from a classic literature novel to be read halfway over the building’s sound system, before being asked to choose a door to a stage room (out of three options) that correctly finishes the quote to continue moving forward. Of course, since it’s Jason and he wants to test a trainer’s strength there will be gym trainers waiting on the stage of each room, reading out the end of the line (one correctly, the other two will improvise), so a battle is unavoidable. Nonetheless this will continue for five more turns, until you reach Jason in the back on the largest stage in the theatre. If you battle Jason early into your journey the Gym Trainer’s team will include Vulpix, Numel, Litwick, and Misdreavus. If you challenge Jason halfway through your journey his Gym Trainer’s teams will be comprised of Banette, Mimikyu, Darmanitan, Salazzle, and Talonflame. If Jason is one of your final opponents, his Gym Trainer’s teams will consist of Volcarona, Chandelure, Arcanine, Aegislash, and Trevenant.
Gym Team Roster (Early Journey Edition): Facing Jason early on your journey will give him a team of Magby, Lampent, and Litten. Magby is masterful at smokescreen so it gives his team an edge at hiding when needed, Lampent is mostly to stick with the Gym theme, and Litten having been Jason’s first Pokémon (not this Litten, the Incineroar version from his final team) is a Pokémon Jason is the most familiar with so he can push out its strength well. If you defeat Jason he will hand you a TM for Will-o-Wisp.
Gym Team Roster (Late Journey Edition): Jason as your final battle, or one of the last, will handle a team of Gengar to take out any early Water or Ground types with Thunderbolt and Giga Drain. Following Gengar is an Alolan Marowak that was given to him by Tim. Third on the team is a Spiritomb for great defense, then followed by a Mega Charizard Y that is a gift from Bruce. His second to last Pokémon is a Dusknoir for great defense and offense, and his final team member is an Incineroar, his long time partner since it was a Litten when Jason lived on the streets of Gotham. If you defeat Jason at this stage he will hand you a TM for Overheat.
Vigilante Team: Jason, out of all the BatKids, has the biggest Pokémon team when it comes to his vigilante team. His team includes Incineroar, a Dragapult for stealth and aquatic assistance, a Salazzle for extra stealth, a Drifblim for aerial assistance, a Rapidash for quick transportation and extra strength, and a Turtonator, because I mean it’s Jason and Turtonator has explosions on its back, and for extra strength.
Civilian Party: Jason’s civilian team rivals Damien’s with a full team of six. His first Pokémon is Incineroar because it’s over protective of Jason. His second is a Houndoom to match Damien’s that was given to him by Talia when he was training with the league. His third is a Phantump that followed him after his resurrection and wouldn’t go away. His fourth member is a Ninetails that he grew fond of, but caught because of its regal appearance when he became a Wayne again. His fifth Pokémon is a Scizor that was a gift from Barbara. His final Pokémon is a Minior that was a gift from Kyle when he came back to Earth (gotta keep the Jaykyle agenda going strong lol).

The BatKids as the Gotham Region Gym Leaders
Gym Leader Number Five: Cassandra Cain (The Fighting Type Gym Leader)
Cass as a Gym Leader: Cass is the most strategic when it comes to Gym battles. While she has a harder time connecting to her Team on an emotional trusting level, she is the best when it comes to reaching them new moves, or training them on her they should move their bodies. Because of this most of her team are really skilled fighters. Trainers who battle Cass often consider her strange after their battle, but despite that she has a loyal following within the Gotham Region, and is highly favored by female trainers.
Gym Set Up: When it comes to her Gym Cass is more interested in learning from the other trainers, than flaunting her own personality and preferences. When Trainers enter her Gym they’ll be lead to an empty dance room before three Gym trainers enter to perform an interpretive dance. Each Dance would be about a different philosophical question, with each dancer/gym trainer representing a different answer to said question, and the challenger must then choose the trainer whose answer best fits their own. After the Gym Trainer who’s chosen is defeated, they’ll exit the room with the other two, and then a new trio will appear to perform a different dance. This process will repeat itself at least six times until Cass has the answer to best determine the type of trainer you are. If you challenge Cass at the beginning of your journey the Gym Trainer’s teams will consist of Mankey, Tyrogue, Meditite, and Stufful. If Cass is challenged halfway through your journey her Gym Trainer’s teams will consist of Hitmonlee/Hitmonchan, Toxicroak, Gurdurr, Scrafty, and Sirfetch’d. If you face Cass late into your journey, her Gym Trainers will have teams consisting of Hawlucha, Pangoro, Medicham, Hariyama, and Machamp.
Gym Team Roster (Early Journey Edition): Challenging Cass early in your journey will give her a team of Riolu, Pancham, and Hakamo-o. Riolu is on her team because of it’s determined nature to do well in battle. She has Pancham fill a slot because of its playfulness, and how it amuses the younger trainers who challenge her. Hakamo-o is her ace since it’s the pre-evolution of her ace for her regular team. If defeated Cass will hand you a TM for Protect.
Gym Team Roster (Late Journey Edition): If Cass is left as one of your final challenges her team will include a Breloom for coverage against any possible water or ground types, a Polywrath for extra ground type coverage, Gallade to match with the one on Stephanie’s vigilante team, Lucario because of its ability to read Aura (something she finds strikingly similar to her ability to read people), an Infernape for maximum power, and her ace is a Kommo-o that was given to her by Bruce. If defeated Cass will hand you a TM for Focus Punch.
Vigilante Team: When it comes to her vigilante team Cass has a total of five. She has a Blaziken and Mienshao for extra combat support, a Heracross for climbing as well as comforting victims, a Crobat for aerial assistance, and a Milotic for aquatic assistance if needed.
Civilian Party: Out of all the Wayne children Cassandra has the least Pokémon on her civilian team with only Falinks because they amuse her, and they were given to her by Duke, and a Hariyama that was added for protection after Bruce and Alfred voiced their concerns.

The BatKids as the Gotham Region Gym Leaders
Gym Leader Number Seven: Barbara Gordon (The Steel Type Gym Leader)
Barbara as a Gym Leader: Barbara is one of Gotham’s most beloved Gym Leaders. Trainers who love the thrill of battle tend to leave her for the end of their journey, since Barbara is one of the most skilled Gym leaders when it comes to battle, and in hopes that they could learn from her strategy and try to imitate. Barbara is also one of the Gym Leaders who pays closer attention to her challengers. Where others test the challengers on different specific parts of their combat skill, Barbara prefers to look at the bigger picture, and learn from them. She is held at high respect by most, if not all, of her fellow Gym Leaders.
Gym Set Up: Barbara’s Gym is actually in a clock tower, just like her Oracle base. When opponents enter they’ll take a lift to the second floor of the clock tower where they’ll find that they can ride on different gears to make it to the top of the tower. They have to be careful though because choosing to ride on the wrong gear can either lead to a dead end, or a challenger will ride down and face off against you. Once you make it to the top of the tower Barbara will be waiting to challenge you. If you challenge Barbara at the beginning of your journey, her Gym Trainers will have teams consisting of Bronzor, Pawniard, Klefki, and Aron. Facing Barbara halfway through your journey will hand her Gym Trainers teams consisting of Escavalier, Durant, Doublade, Magneton, and Probopass. If Barbara’s Gym is one of your final challenges, her Gym Trainers will have teams that include Scizor, Bronzong, Klingklang, Copperajah, and Duraludon.
Gym Team Roster (Early Journey Edition): If you challenge Barbara early into your Journey her team will include a Magnemite for better special attack, a Klink to keep up with the aesthetic of her Gym, and her final Pokémon will be a Mawile to see how trainers get through a tough situation when faced with a Pokémon of greater advantage (Mawile’s Fairy type). If defeated Barbara will hand you a TM for Safeguard.
Gym Team Roster (Late Journey Edition): When facing Barbara at the last stages of your journey, her first Pokémon will be a Skarmory that was gifted to her by Dick, and that she prefers to open with to throw off opponents who send out fighting types immediately. Her second Pokémon is a Magnezone that she uses to take care of any water types that challengers may have if they assume any of her Pokémon are of the Rock or Ground Type. Her third Pokémon is a Ferrothorn that she uses to handle Ground type threats. Her fourth team member is an Empoleon that was actually her first Pokémon that she captured herself, and who handles the challenger’s Fire type threats. Her fifth partner is a Melmetal that was given to her by Bruce. Her final partner and ace Pokémon is a Metagross who she bonded when she started her operations as Oracle. If Barbara is defeated late into your journey, she will hand you the TM for Gyro Ball.
Vigilante Team: When it comes to her vigilante team as Oracle, Barbara has a Bisharp to send out as back up, or to defend the clock tower. She has a Skarmory for aerial assistance and quick delivery. Her final two Pokémon are a Bronzor and Klefki to help her within the clock tower.
Civilian Party: Barbara is very close to her team as Gym Leader, so most of the Pokémon on her full roster team are also on her civilian party, that includes- Empoleon, Magnezone, Skarmory, Melmetal, and Metagross. The only Pokémon who is switched out is Ferrothorn, who is replaced by Copperajah (who was given to her by her parents).

The BatKids as the Gotham Region Gym Leaders
Gym Leader Number Three: Stephanie Brown (The Psychic Type Gym Leader)
Stephanie as a Gym Leader: Stephanie as a Psychic Type Gym Leader is a bit different from what most trainers expect from another Gym Leader of the same type. Whereas the others may be more stern, or carry out a more pretentious attitude, Stephanie is very laid back, but also very quick to let lose and have fun with the battle. Though she chose Psychic as her type because most Pokémon are some shade of purple, she does have a deep respect for the kind, and is always interested to learn more about their nature and power. Although she’s not the strongest, most trainers who walk out of the Gym leave with a great sense of passion for battling that’s rekindled by Stephanie’s exuberance, and a deep respect for the Gym Leader’s attentiveness towards her team and their well-being. She’s the most criticized Gym Leaders by the upper class of the Gotham Region due to not being directly part of the Wayne legacy like most of the other Gym Leaders, but that only makes her work harder to prove to herself that she fits in well with the rest of them.
Gym Set Up: Where Damien’s Gym is more dark, and Duke’s is more aesthetically city like, Stephanie decided to keep her Gym a bit more vibrant with (you guessed it) a pastel purple Gotham diner aesthetic. When you enter you’ll be directed to a diner booth where a gym trainer will hand you a menu with a riddle on it. After reading the riddle the answer will lead you to a different part of the diner (kinda like Lenora’s Gym), but you have to be careful because a Gym trainers will be waiting at each checkpoint (there’s five right answers but eight check points) to see if you solved the riddle right, and if you didn’t they’ll be prepared to battle you. Once you solved all riddles or defeated all the Gym Trainers, then you’ll be sent to face off Stephanie. If Stephanie’s Gym is one of the first that you face, the Gym trainers will have teams consisting of Slowpoke, Smoochum, Abra, and Mime Jr.. If you’re facing Stephanie somewhere along the middle, her Gym Trainers will have teams of Kadabra, Girafirig, Xatu, and Meowstic. If Stephanie is one of the last Gym Leaders that you face her Trainer’s teams will consist of Slowbro, Sigilyph, Medicham, Hatterene, and Alakazam.
Gym Team Roster (Early Journey Edition): If you battle Stephanie early during your journey her team will mostly consist of first stage psychic Pokémon, including- Gothita, Spoink, and Munna. She chose Gothita because of it’s tight aesthetic to Gotham as a whole, Spoink because of its ability to dodge attacks by jumping, and Munna because it’s the offspring of the first Pokémon her mother got her. If defeated Stephanie will hand you a TM for Trick Room.
Gym Team Roster (Late Journey Edition): For Stephanie’s late journey team she will have a fully evolved Gothitelle as her first Pokémon, followed by a Claydol at the recommendation of Tim. Her third Pokémon is a Delphox to fend off against any bug type Pokémon that can pose a threat to her team. Her fourth partner is Musharna, the same one her mother gifted her, to hopefully put things in her favor halfway through the battle. Her fifth team member is a Gardevoir that was given to her by Cass as a Ralts, and her last Pokémon is the first Pokémon she captured by herself, a swift and purple Starmie. If defeated at this stage Stephanie will hand you a TM for Calm Mind.
Vigilante Team: Her vigilante team consists of a Gallade to match with Cass, a Goodra that she adores because it’s purple and really good at consoling victims, a Galarian Rapidash for quick transportation when needed, and a Swoobat for aerial assistance.
Civilian Party: Stephanie allows herself to indulge more into her purple aesthetic with her civilian team. She holds onto the Musharna that was gifted to her by her mother, but some purple squad additions include an Espurr, an Espeon, a playful Delcatty at the request of Damien, and a rare Victini that was gifted to her from Bruce.

The BatKids as the Gotham Region Gym Leaders
Gym Leader Number Four: Tim Drake (The Ground Type Gym Leader)
Tim as a Gym Leader: As a Gym Leader Tim is very technical when it comes to the way he runs things. He’s the one follows league protocol more thoroughly, which brings distaste to some challengers, but when the battle is underway and over the trainers facing Tim are shocked by how much training Tim actually goes through to keep his team in high standard. Despite being the Gym Leader who devotes the least time to their Gym, Tim still holds it as a place of great sentimental value to the memory of his parents by devoting himself to the ground type.
Gym Set Up: Tim’s Gym is more technical, and he likes to keep a hands on approach as the how the challenges will go. He almost treats it like a video game. When a new trainer enters they’ll be hooked up to a skateboard that’ll be pulled by a Rhyhorn bot. The challenger must race against other robot trainers and their Rhyhorn bots, but in order to defeat them they’ll have to battle against the Gym trainers that are waiting for the challenger at different check points. The faster you finish the battle, the more likely you’ll be to win the race, but be careful because Tim also added robot Diglets to disturb your run, and pop out at his control. When battling Tim at the start of your journey his Gym Trainers will have teams consisting of Sanshrew, Diglett, Wooper, and Geodude. If you challenge Tim’s Gym halfway through your journey the Trainer’s teams will consist of Gligar, Piloswine, Vibrava, Yamask and Excadrill. If Tim is among one of your final challengers, then his Gym Trainer’s teams will consist of Nidoking/Nidoqueen, Hippowdon, Rhyperior, Camerupt, and Seismitoad.
Gym Team Roster (Early Journey Edition): if you challenge Tim early in your journey his team will consist of a Golett, a Cubone that’s direct offspring from his first Pokémon and the Pokémon his parents gave him as a kid, and a very combative Gible. If you defeat Tim at this point of the journey he will hand you the TM for Stealth Rock.
Gym Team Roster (Late Journey Edition): If you battle Tim closer to the end of your journey his team will consist of the Marowak that was handed to him by his parents as a Cubone, a now fully evolved Golurk, a Gastrodon that knows Ice Beam, a Flygon that knows Fly, a Torterra that was given to him by Bruce, and a Garchomp as his ace. If you defeat Tim at this point of your journey he will hand you a TM for Earthquake.
Vigilante Team: Tim’s Vigilante team consists of a Mudsdale for heavy lifting and transportation, a Gliscor for aerial assistance, a Marshtomp for aquatic assistance, and a Swinub for its great sense of smell that Tim uses for tracking, and to comfort crime victims.
Civilian Party: Tim keeps Marowak on his civilian team, as well as an old Sigilyph that belonged to his father. He added a Phanpy that he loves to race around the manor while on his skateboard (and because Tim Drake is not immune to cute things), a Rhyhorn to pull on his skateboard when he wants to go extra fast, and lastly a Mimikyu that Jason gave him as a joke after they got over the pretender situation, but Tim grew really fond of.
