JIAOQIU

After you found out Jiaoqiu lost his sight, you did everything you to help him, mentally, or physically. In the beginning, he claimed he was 'content' clearly not after all that traumatic stuff he went through

One thing that Jiaoqiu would do regularly is hold onto your hand, just to feel any form of contact with you, to know you're there right beside him.

Another thing he does is wrap his tail around you to feel closer while cuddling, when you're cooking something for him, doesn't matter.

He enjoys the sound of your voice, whether it is about work, cooking, or something you're passionate about, he can always hear the smile in your voice! It makes him feel more connected to you, just like old times.

Thoughts on Evelyn Mora's Trailer:

Skilled gambler who witnessed an argument between 2 individuals, during which we see papers reading "bill" and "debt".

(We also hear mention of "pure white powder" stained by mud and blood, but it's possible this is just a reference to Evelyn)

"Evelyn" presumably pulled a out a gun, shooting and killing 1 of them, after which she's thrown in jail (though she has a look of shock on her face the whole time). She then seems to eventually be released by someone that looks like Vilhelm.

*Unknown at this moment if this was really Evelyn or if she was framed, or the circumstances, if she was the shooter, why she did it.

*I wonder if this murder happened at the casino she was at, and if the debt was because the person was gambling too much or not.

*I also half wonder if it's possible Evelyn even by this point was working for Vilhelm, and if she'd wanted to kill whoever she did on Vilhelm's orders or not. Or if even that argument was purposefully set up so she could do the deed.

We then see her standing next to Vilhelm (in a chair like a throne), with some other older woman on the other side. Evelyn may be teaching and/or directing other women all wearing the same outfits (drab in color, with hats and ponytails just like Martha’s). Presumably, these women all have similar skills as to the ones displayed by Martha in her letters (imitation, observation, stealth, deception, etc...)

So potentially something like a spy organization for Vilhelm?

*Based on Evelyn saying "shouldn't you all be flowers in a vase?" seems to imply being primarily for appearances (pretty, to be put on display, but that's it). That or the focus on appearance is about them being spies/deceptive.

*I wonder how the other ladies working under Evelyn began working for her and Vilhelm. Is it possible whatever experiments Vilhelm was doing to Alice was something he was doing to other girls? Potentially as part of some sort of preparation for having them work for him?

These women are likely the same ones we see interacting with Alice. She says she obtained an invite to the manor from a "colleague who had been out of reach for days" via an "ingenuous disguise".

*If these women are the ones working for Evelyn and thus potentially Vilhelm, the one who performed experiments on Alice in Australia, was it really by chance that she was able to go to the manor, or was it planned? Was this somehow still part of Vilhelm's experiment? Could that be why before going to the manor, at the start of AoM 1, Alice talks about disguises, or explain her guarded behavior in her deductions? Maybe because she'd received some of the same training Martha and the others did?).

* Alice does appear in the last shot of Evelyn’s trailer, in the darkness near Martha.

*Is it possible this spy organization of Vilhelm's is the one that had been trying to investigate Alice in her deductions? He knew she'd escaped and was trying to find her again and have her returned to him (maybe for more experiments)? Though if it was the same people, and in her 7th deduction, it mentions whoever had been investigating Alice had been "exposed", so I doubt those performing the investigation and the 1 to hand her an invite are the same person (and she does call whoever gave her the invite a "colleague", but that doesn't mean it couldn't be faked...). So maybe whoever gave her the invite, their "ingenuous disguise", could've been by disguising themself as 1 of the females from Evelyn's/Vilhem's spy organization?

*If Vilhelm had been using his spy organization to investigate Alice, and they were "exposed" (which would be believable if Alice learned the same stuff Evelyn's spies did), that could explain why whoever the author is of Alice's deduction 8-10 seems to be different as the ones who authored her deduction 1-7. If Vilhelm does want to either capture of kill Alice, maybe he could've been the 1 to ask Norton to kill her, especially if his spies were exposed, Norton would be someone completely different than those that had previously gone after her. She had been investigating Golden Cave, and thus Norton, but she'd have no reason to know (least not yet) Norton might be investigating or targeting her.

1 of Evelyn's trainees included Martha Behamfil (as we see Evelyn putting the hat on her), who later betrays her and their organization. Evelyn wants to find her, potentially to ask why she betrayed and/or to punish her.

*Martha in her 1st letter asks Baron DeRoss (Orpheus) to help "[put] and end to a particular business". This "business" is likely Evelyn's spy organization, and that being where she learned her deception and disguise abilities, that could explain why later in her letter it says "So long as it's not 'me', I can become anybody". Speaking of which, I wonder if "that gentleman" could be referring to Vilhelm...? Not quite sure yet if that makes complete sense but if she essentially worked for him, can't help wondering.

*If Martha asked to work for Baron DeRoss aka Orpheus to get away from Vilhelm, that seems to imply Orpheus and Baron DeRoss aren't exactly on the same side. Despite the fact someone looking like Orpheus appeared in Alice's flashback with Vilhelm, seemingly confirmed by Alice's 1st letter that also involves him trying to help Alice get her memory back. This would at least fit with Orpheus' 1st letter, where he gets really at being refused to see Alice as well as at Vilhelm for being able to help Alice while Orpheus is unable to. That could also explain why Orpheus seemed to be secretly trying to help Alice regain her memory of him (Orpheus) from under Vilhelm's nose, whatever Vilhelm's real goal was.

*Martha learning under Evelyn explains the suitcase, hidden morse code, train tickets, tampered cigarettes, and the letter. Regarding the letter, I wonder if the "organization" Martha wanted to investigate was Evelyn's spy organization and/or something bigger involving Vilhelm and whatever it is he's doing.

*Regarding Martha's motivations for "betraying", according to her 5th letter, it says she "yearned to soar" and how "once a pawn in the hands of others" aka Vilhelm and Evelyn most likely) she "yearned to escape her fate" and "[break] the shackles".

*And it is pretty much confirmed the man in Evelyn's trailer is Vilhelm based on how we see the same man in Alice's flashback from AoM 2, as we know she was taken to Australia by Vilhelm based on her backstory

We 1st learned of Villhelm Lamb's name from Wu Chang's 4th letter, when it was revealed he was working with Jose's father, Joaquin Baden, to perform "trades" and obtain goods of some sort from the Mediterranean Sea.

Collateral included Wu Chang's umbrella.

We then connected him to Alice due to Ashes of Memory 1 showing a letter for Alice labeled "Eury Lamb".

This meant he was likely the "kind individual" from Orpheus' 1st letter who put together a "treatment package" for Alice. He took her to Melbourne to do this.

At Melbourne, from Alice's flashback in Ashes of Memory 2, Villhelm seemed to at least be working with Sam Bourbon (confirmed via Alice's 1st letter). 1 of the pictures in her flashback also showed someone who looked like Orpheus, implying he was there too (w/ Alice's letter).

It seems Orpheus was trying to help Alice to regain her memories (at least of Orpheus, who she seemed to forget) and to some extent helped her escape from Villhelm by telling her of the key in Sam's drawer.

Why Villhelm wants a spy organization? We don't yet know.

It is curious thought that him and Count Barriere are interested to some degree in the Mediterranean, which we know from Lily's last deduction, which mentions a bond for "Mediterranean Development".

Hopefully we'll learn more about him and his goals soon

Imagine if one of the listeners got married in Vagas...but forgot to divorce the person they married-

Even better if the person was a friend they lost contact with and when trying to marry one of the others boys or sent a letter they go on a side quest to get divorced.

I think it would be hilarious with Boo, Casper, and Rook. Bc Boo hasn't talked about their exs but once that letter came they shout fuck. Al says how he's the mistress and Seth is just shocked.

Boo is rolling their eyes at Alphonse and explains that night in Vagas. The two only married bc there was a lot of deals for newly weds. And no alphonse your not the mistress stop. Seth then tells Al "Guess you were the homewrecker not Sugar-" Sugarboo is done with both of them as they talk shit to one another. All three get into the car to the persons place to settle the divorce.

Casper asks Charlie to open the door and see someone with papers. The person asks for Casper and they come seeing the friend like oh shit how you be- Are those divorce papers??? Charlie is freaking out and Casper has a headache. Since Casper is kinda rich the old 'friend' is trying to get shit in the divorce.

So it's a series of court hearings to settle it. Casper got a good Lawyer and told Charlie if the other person tried to tell him shit immediately contact their lawyer. Charlie does feel a bit weird about the whole thing but Casper explains both of them got married bc they got super drunk and decided why not.

The person tried to say Casper cheated on them but evidence showed that the other person wanted to steal money from Casper bc they got rich. It was a field day for Casper's lawyer, bc there was also evidence that the person split off with money after Casper married them. So it was a whole thing but they got the divorce cleanly.

With Rook I think it would be funny bc as their working one day, the person comes in and sees Auron. Auron who just got to work is wondering why this person is talking to him. The person then says "I'm here to see Rook. My partner." Bc of that Auron is imminently defensive for them, to prove the person is married to Rook they showed the papers. And it has Rooks signature, Auron knows it he looks over their papers all the time.

So while in a meeting Rook is talking to the legal team and hears loud foots steps and yelling. Turns out the person heard someone say is Rook in that meeting room on the 7th floor? And ran into an elevator, Auron wanting answers rushes after the person. So as Rook is explaining some numbers the person slams the door open "I WANT A DIVORCE!!" Everyone is thrown into chaos bc Rook started yelling at the person.

Rook did love this person at one point but they cheated on them but forgot they were married bc it was Vagas. Rook is trying to explain but everyone is trying to understand bc wtf do you mean your married??? Auron gets there and sees the chaos. To stop the arguing he yells, everyone freezes and Auron looks at the person then Rook "My office now."

Rook is panicking in their mind as they try to sum up the story of them marring someone. The person though trues to act all high and mighty (wrong thing to do with Auron-) so after explaining Auron simply says "Rook, is my partner and I don't like how you came here after all those years for a divorce. You want something don't you?" The person is fumbling over themseves and us trying to deflect but Rook pressures then to say how they lost money in a casino and need it to not be bankrupt anymore.

Rook then says that they will go to court for the divorce. But the person better not try and get greedy with what they want. Auron ofc gets a high end lawyer for Rook and the divorce goes smoothly. And bc i love drama this is how Rook's and Auron's relationship gets put to the public.

Ability

True Heart (真ごころ, Magokoro) reveals the truth in an affected person's words as well as their connections to other parties, be those personal, professional and/or criminal.

When activated, Haruko's ability will allow her to see the affected person's words as bright blue visual writing in front of her eyes, much similar to a projection. Anything colored in red, no matter how small it is of a detail, is 100% a lie, even if the remaining of the sentence is colored normally.

If she chooses to further investigate the person in question by 'searching their heart', her ability will show her their involvement with other people through projected lines that connect one to another; the color of the connecting line is indicative of what kind of relationship it is. As much as it intrudes on people's privacy, showing even personal relationships no matter how much of a secret those are, this has been a key trait of Haruko's ability that has aided her on solving many cases before in which multiple criminal parties were allied to each other.

When in use, True Heart will turn Haruko's eyes a brighter blue with scarlet-colored pupils and irises ends. There are no exceptions to the effect of Haruko's ability other than herself and Osamu Dazai.

Personality

Haruko is a down-to-earth, level-headed woman. Her usual composure when at work usually tricks others into thinking she's the stern type but once she's off her shift and breaks character, her joyful and good-humored personality shines through. She eases up the most while drinking at her favorite kyabakura, especially if in the company of a drinking buddy, becoming chatty and endearingly silly.

Extremely adaptable, despite her overall considerate and caring nature, she's not one to be lenient with the unjust and will seek to punish those accordingly.

She carries a stationery store-bought small notebook on her at all times whose notable features are its flower-print cover embellished with the word 理想 (Risou, Ideal) in golden letters. In a similar fashion to Kunikida, Haruko is into scheduling and planned routines albeit hers are much more flexible than his. That didn't stop them from hitting it off as soon as they met however, quickly bonding over their shared interest. Now and then she changes notebooks once they run out of pages to write in, but the flower-print cover and golden writing are always a must-have for her.

As a police department employee, she's proficient with handling firearms and has remarkable physical combat skills, being well-versed in mixed martial art styles such as taekwondo and kickboxing. Her strongest traits are her endurance and willpower.

Backstory

In the original story's timeline, Haruko is first introduced rather early on but becomes more relevant as a character during the events of the Sky Casino arc. She works as a private investigator under her senior officer, Minoura, as he's the only one who knows about her ability and keeps it a secret since the use of those without a permit is considered taboo. Given that the information she finds thanks to her ability always leads her to uncovering actual, relevant clues and evidences in the cases she has solved, no one has ever suspected a thing.

However, it was exactly because of her ability that she was one of the few people that doubted the truth imposed by The Book when reality was altered to frame the ADA as a terrorist group, to the point of questioning her own judgment when no one else did. This state of unrest led her to conducting an investigation on her own, trying to find loose ends whilst staying out of the police's sights in order not to be accused of coniving with the ADA. After all, she believed in their innocence thanks to their previous collaborations with the Police Department, having personally met and inspected most of its members with her ability.

She's finally able of making a breakthrough once Ranpo shows himself on broadcast; while that geared the people affected by The Book to think for themselves and see the situation more clearly, that allowed Haruko to use her ability on Ranpo and not only confirm everything he said was true, but also gave her some leads to follow, cueing her into investigating the Decay of Angels more closely. She's come very close to finding out Kamui's real identity thanks to that.

Currently, she's helping the Police Department deal with the aftermath of the vampire outbreak.

Trivia

🌸 Similar to her irl counterpart, Haruko comes from a financially poor background. When younger, she lived in a humble village and made a living off flower arranging lectures, only moving in to the city after getting her job in the Police Department to support herself. Nowadays, flower arranging is one of her favorite hobbies as it gives her a warm feeling of nostalgia. 🌸 She can hold her alcohol pretty well but if she drinks to the point of becoming too drunk, she'll start crying over pointless things (like how one time she saw a mother goose with its young trailing after and thought it was very cute, for example). 🌸 Despite Haruko's dainty appearance, she's physically stronger than she looks. Rumor has it that she's able of effortlessly lifting Kunikida off the ground regardless of him being comically much taller than her. When asked, he neither confirms nor denies the claim. 🌸 As expected of someone in an investigative career, she's clever, with a good sense of responsibility and a keen intuition when it comes to predicting outcomes in the cases handed to her. Such adeptness paired with her ability make Haruko an obnoxious foe to face head on. 🌸 Even if the concept of ideals draws her in, she mostly relies on a very personal, strong sense of loyalty and duty rather than idealized courses of action. 🌸 Much like Kunikida, she does have a 'requirements list' for an ideal partner and even with her list not being as extensive as his, he still does not fit all requirements. That didn't stop them from falling in love anyway, as she does not fit all of his requirements either - being 4 short of being a perfect match to the list.

Many know him as the bard of all demons, and that couldn't be any more true. Dicard always faces every situation with smile and a positive mindset. Doubly so in his own ring, where he has total control. He can be seen mingling with the guests, looking over their shoulders at their progress. If a guest is lucky, he might even become their dealer! Then again, no one can put down the dominating nature of a ring's host. While he does enjoy seeing the ranks of his players rise, he'll make sure that none of them surpass him, even if it means playing dirty. Despite his innocent-enough appearance, many a soul would not dare to cross him.

Unlike other demons, Dicard cannot enter the surface, only being limited to the 7th ring. In fact, he doesn't have a body of his own. The only way he could get himself body is by taking control of a vessel nd bringing them to his realm. In order to get himself a vessel, he attracts them in the form of a special coin, the only other physical form he can manifest himself into. Once someone makes contact with him, possession is rapid, and he stays in the vessel's body, but doesn't manifest immediately. Instead, he waits until the vessel experiences something in their lives where they are in need of substance (alcohol, drugs, comfort, etc.) Only then can he appear before them through a figure in flames, with a voice and body mimicking that of the vessel. From then on, he changes their appearance to suit his taste, no matter what the vessel says in reply. This is also what he had done to his most current vessel, one that has stayed with him the longest.

The International Hotel January 7th, 1972

The cameras flashed through the lobby as a dark brunette-haired, sunglasses-wearing, fur coat-toating, tawny-skinned woman was at the front desk. That woman was,

 "Mrs.Presley, We uh weren't excepting you!" The concierge looked in shock.

"Call me Cecelia, sweetheart." she laughed, taking off her shades as she looked at the young woman who was about to faint. Usually, her husband had this effect on women. 

"W-Well... Can we do anything for you, get you a room..."

"I know Mr. Presley is on stage currently... but, uh, if you could relay a message to Jerry, tell 'em the Eagle has landed." taking the key from her, Cecelia winked as she continued to walk down towards the Elevator. 

           "Mrs. Presley!"

                                 "Happy Birthday, Mrs. Presley!"

          "Welcome back, Mrs. Presley!

"Geez, Midge. I didn't know people even remembered my birthday." she laughed as they walked through the casino. She was all smiles and waves like a pageant girl when really all she wanted to do was see her loving husband, who she hadn't been around for almost a year,

"Well, I don't even think you remembered your own birthday, let alone celebrated in how many years?" 

"Not true! Last year Elvis. Bought me a rhinestone studded Gibson Guitar." 

"And what did you send him."

"The key to a custom-made roadster... With EP on the seats."

"Well, when's the last time you two Celebrated your birthdays together..."

Cecelia took in a deep sigh as she thought about it. They'd been so busy with tours and conflicting schedules and even the kids who were now teenagers that the two hadn't even had time to their actual selves. The Elevator began to ding as they reached the 32nd floor of the hotel. Midge walked out first as Cecelia took out the hotel key. In a sense, the room felt like a home away from home.

The outside of the crowded concert hall was where the Memphis Mafia was trying their best to transport,

 "Elvis, I love you!

"Love you too, honey." he winked,

Back to his hotel room, that was if he could stop kissing all the women who'd approached him, but then again, when you're the big star that is Elvis Presley, what's one more woman? Running down towards them was the concierge who had run to Jerry to tell him,

"The Eagle has landed." 

Jerry looked at the young girl as he gave her a nod and a tap on Elvis's shoulder,

 "We gotta go, E."

"Somethin wrong..." He looked up at Jerry, his hand searching for one of his many peacemakers. 

"Nah, we just gotta go..."

The view of Vegas was beautiful from the window as Cecelia stood in front of it dressed in her long boudoir pink velvet robe. Champagne in her hand as she slowly breathed in and laughed, her eyes catching a pair of red panties that definitely didn't belong to her, just another chip in their marriage she'd manage to find. But it was no different than when she witnessed him date over 25 girls while his heart set on her. Lost in thought, Cecelia didn't even hear the key in the door turn, 

"Be careful, E..."Jerry said,

"Why the hell do I have to be careful?" Elvis laughed a lit cigarillo in his mouth, "What's in there cept for what's usually in there." opening the door to his hotel room, he could smell the sweet scent of a familiar perfume. And the shift of a calming wind coming through. 

"Elvis, is that you?"

"Cece..." his tired blue eyes now magnified back with energy,

"El..." she ran to him as she engulfed him with a tender kiss on his lips,

"I'll leave you two alone," Jerry smirked, closing the door behind him. 

Cecelia had pulled away from him, taking the Cigarillo out of his mouth and setting it out. On the ashtray, "Seems somebody missed me." He whistled, looking at her frame in the robe, 

"Seems someone couldn't wait for me..." her eyes gesturing to those panties again,

"Honey, no matter how many fans may have come in trying to steal away my appetite, you'll always be my main course," he whispered in her ear. Biting at the lobe as she shivered, 

"You're lucky it's your birthday in half an hour..." she laughed,

"And you're lucky it's still yours." his lips were now on her neck, kissing and sucking all the way down to her shoulder, where her robe was now slithering down off her skin,

"Tell me, doll... you wearin anythin under that robe."

"Why don't you see for yourself." she laughed, running towards the bed as she untied her robe and ran, 

"Damnit, Cece!" He laughed, chasing after his playful wife. Oh, the things he'd do for the woman before him. Cecelia was by the piano, now draped over it, as her eyes seduced him into coming over, 

"Lord ol mighty..." 

"Like what you see?" velvet curtains as her backdrop, she looked like something a man would only dream of finding in a bordello landscape. 

"Mhmm..."

"You know... Pres, I'm liking a whole lot of what I'm seein..." Gesturing to him and his oh-so-tight blue owl jumpsuit. She wanted to pull him by the belt and get to working on him right now, but she wanted to make him work for it.

"You want me don'tcha honey,"

"I thought I was makin' my intentions clear," she smirked, beckoning him to come closer. Elvis began to walk closer towards her like a sailor drawn to a siren, 

"Not clear enough, baby..." 

"Do you want me to tell you what I want tonight..."

"Tell me, honey..."

"Well... I want you to make love to me like the beast I know you can be..." her arms around his waist as she heard the clinking of his belt hit the floor. His hands were already caressing her plump breasts.

"Easy... Mmm, tiger." her hand was now on his chest as she unzipped him slowly from the jumpsuit,

"Tell me, Mr. Presley... Did you think of me when you were fuckin those girls..."
