I keep itching to start it so I can understand some of my friends' interests better but I would just rather... read things. And I know that the fics might not be accurate to personalities or plot, but if you have anything beginner-friendly or fun that might help my brain get more excited to make the effort and watch, I'll take it. So he gives her head-pats. That's what you do for scared puppies isn't it?

notes: some really good characterization with this one and a deeper look at the subtle hint of corruption/injustice in the shinobi world that canon already gives us.

Wait, I’m confused do you or do you not ship Jayrose?

short answer: usually no but ill ship it when its funny

long answer:

most of the reason i dont personally like it is because i see rose as a lesbian and i dont enjoy any ships of her with men (its fine if other people do! its just not my thing), plus i hc jason as aroace so im also not very interested in jason ships unless im in a very specific mood (the "specific mood" being jaykyle lmao. every few months i get really obsessed with jaykyle for a few days then i forget about it for the next few months. then the cycle repeats)

another reason i dont like it is that i am constantly in fear of rose becoming Jason's Girlfriend in comics and online. like how babs and kory are both seen as Dick's Girlfriend (also steph and tim to a lesser degree atm) and people refuse to engage with their character not in reference to their boyfriend, so writers have them constantly mention their relationship with dick even in comics that hes not in (like batgirls having dick show up randomly/birds of prey (1999) having babs talk about dick alllll the time, or kory in the current blue beetle run constantly mentioning dick even though theyre not dating rn and jaime has never even met dick). and thats somewhat starting to happen with rose where shes only in comics that jason is in and if jasons not in it then jason gets mentioned (see: catwoman #62). and obv as a rose fan i really don’t want that to happen because she’s such a great character outside of jason and i don’t want her to be reduced to just who she is with him. this is mostly me overreacting, especially since she had a miniseries just last year that jason was not in or mentioned at all. but being a fan of a female comic character means that most people are not willing to talk about her without mentioning her relationship with a man, and its even worse when the man is a batboy so i’m constantly on alert

so basically thats why it puts a bad taste in my mouth, but i have no issue with the ship itself or anyone who ships it!

i think jason & rose are extremely compatible. i see them as bffs but i genuinely do think about them in a relationship a lot even though i dont necessarily ship it. im rotating both of them in my mind 24/7 so i think about how i think they would act in a relationship & how it would ideally be done in canon. but i just dont trust any comic writers to actually respect rose

the reason i said that jayrose is one of the only jason ships that matters is because most jason ships are soooo bad... i wont name names but some jay ships rely on one or both of them being extremely out of character for it to work at all. in terms of jason ships, jayrose is one of the best just because a) an in-character jason AND an in-character rose would genuinely get along really well and b) none of the stories that they've been in have really been THAT out of character (with the exception of gotham war imo, which i went into here so i wont beat a dead horse. dceased was pretty bad too but that’s tom taylor’s fault it has nothing to do with jayrose). also unlike many other jason ships, a good portion of the people that ship jayrose are the ones who actually read the comics so it tends to be an actual Nuanced and Accurate portrayal. ofc there are many exceptions to that but as of rn jayrose is not one of the Certified Batfam Ships (you know those ships that are the only ships that fanon fans know about so whenever they want to give their fav a boyfriend they shove em with another character they know nothing about. like dick/wally where people say "well they were friends in yja thats enough for me" and they havent read anything with wally in it besides dick/wally fanfic and they dont care about him outside of his relationship with dick), so theyre somewhat safe. but unfortunately because of titans tv its also shipped by The Worst Man You've Ever Met so. you win some you lose some ig

it bothers me when people claim that they dont like jayrose because they "dont like what it does to rose" ???? literally when has jayrose ever been bad for rose. her worst out of character moments have nothing to do with jason in any way. she doesnt get sidelined for him and she doesnt get reduced to a damsel in distress or something. its annoying to me that people feel the need to make up an excuse for why they dont like the ship so they use rose as a scapegoat and pretend that theyre doing it for her when they actually dont know anything about her. just say you dont like it and move on! you dont need to justify it you can just not like it

so for the most part i have no issue with it, which is why i tend to mention it when i think its funny. theres a lot of jayrose content that i enjoy bc theyre fun together and i like seeing them interact! i dont ship them but i think its a good ship <3

however. despite all that i still have more thoughts. im playing devil's advocate against myself and disagreeing with everything i just said

because also. its kind of not in character for them to date. i like where they're at right now because theyre kind of in a casual thing, like theyre hanging out and having sex in the bushes but theyre not Dating. theyre not in a serious relationship that we've seen (other than gotham war but im not acknowledging that), so i like where they're at right now. hanging out, rose flirting aggressively and jason giving her next to nothing in return because he cant flirt, and probably having sex off panel*. i think theyre in a good place at the moment and i dont want it to change from exactly where it is right now in canon. *inside my head theyre actually just pals that pretend to flirt because they think its funny. they do not have sex off panel and they dont want to but the insane flirting is an inside joke that no one else thinks is funny. but thats just me

because neither of them has really shown any interest in dating (when written in character! so we're not counting rhato). the most "interested" jason has ever been in someone is minor flirting with donna in countdown. but he did not make a move on her and repeatedly said throughout that book that he was only focused on the mission and did not care about anything else. he doesnt seem to actually be interested in a relationship with anyone, partially because hes extremely emotionally closed off (to a degree. he is VERY open with his emotions, but hes not the kind of person that lets people into his life easily) and also because he just has other shit to think about. no sex only vengeance.

and ROSE. she is the most closed off person you will ever see. she will have casual sex in an effort to suppress all emotions (which i could talk about extensively. but thats not what this post is about), but she doesnt date people. the only people that she was close to being in a relationship with were eddie and hosun. with eddie, it was all flirting, emotional moments, and her pushing him away. she genuinely liked him (arguably. i could go into how its comphet but that is once again not what this is about), but she was closed off and didnt want to date him because she has so many issues. she tried to make him jealous and did her aggressive flirting thing like she does with jason, but she did not want to have an actual relationship with him. and with hosun, she once again (arguably) genuinely liked him, but she did not tell him that. she MARRIED HIM and still didnt talk to him about her feelings. he liked her and was interested in a relationship with her, but she did not want to embrace that and didnt make any effort to have a real relationship with him outside of agreeing to stay married to him after slade was arrested. she doesnt have any interest in actually dating the guys she likes, and shes so emotionally repressed that she will not make any effort to even be close with them

i hate phantom-one and i hate the idea of rose dating phantom-one but. i genuinely think their "relationship" is pretty in character for her (brisson understands her so well), because at most they have some nice conversations. shes somewhat interested in him so she'll come onto him a bit (no aggressive flirting but still), and she opens up to him when shes at her absolute lowest, then she leaves. shes more focused on what stormwatch is doing and she shows little interest in phantom-one during missions, but she likes him and oscillates between ignoring him and hitting on him. so.. out of the relationships rose has in recent canon..... i could make the argument that rose/phantom-one is more in character for her than jayrose even though i like jayrose a LOT more than i like rose/phantom-one

so yeah. its in character for them to get along. but i DONT think its in character for them to be in a serious relationship. which is another part of the reason im kinda skeptical about their relationship in canon, just because i dont want it to be an actual Relationship since it doesnt really make sense for them to actually date given... everything about them.

but again thats all just my opinion! ship whatever you want we're all just playing with dolls

-aeon: not a fan. Originally I was open minded but the fans of this ship have been disgusting. In general and in my personal interactions so it killed the ship for me. See the appeal of the tragic one day love at times but one time situationship is not my thing. It's overrated and kind of icky in a different manner to so I rate it 20/100

-cleon also not really my thing. Once again I see the appeal just not into it myself. Fans were more welcoming though so I can enjoy it better. (Still some instigators but not nearly as many). Ultimately I'm indifferent and just like the community lmao. 60/100

-i decided to throw chreon into the mix just cause I know that one exists. Not a whole lot of interaction between the two for me to form an opinion but I can see how it came about. There is an old man yaoi quality to it that is like fine wine. An acquired taste but pretty good. Has a certain level of bitterness that tops it off. 65-70/100

-leshley. My favorite ship so far regarding Leon. Very cute. Very wholesome. Can dip into angst or problematic and what's a ship without controversy. The shippers are sweethearts for the most part. Don't see a lot of them actually but I do know the general view of leshley is not positive for stupid reasons. Love my two pookies 98/100

-serennedy. I see the appeal. Very funny dynamic and a lot of angst. Kind of generic and predictable ngl so not super intrigued by it. Plenty of good artists though and once again the fans are pretty sweet. A little much at times and a few pushy peeps but not too bad. Personally I like ada and Luis more but honestly both good. 75/100

you didn't mention this one but I'd also like to say I love metaltango. It's just a tad above leshley cause who doesn't like enemies to enemies. Plus the artists always cook with something holy and profoundly poetic in ship art. Even the name metaltango solos sorry 100/100

Also for ships I'm not sure exist with Leon I'm putting them down here. I have yet to see a maria x Leon fanbase begin after death Island with her basically sitting on his face, but I rate maria x Leon 100/100 as well. I'd love to see someone create food for it since there was some tension in that fight.

Some disclaimers (as previously stated.) I started this ask account originally when I was about 16 and drew a LOT for it in 2019-2020 specifically. I started this account before security breach came out and revealed the two to be father and daughter and I didn't think it was possible bc William was a dead corpse for longer than however old vanessa looked. My version of vanny (like everyone elses at the time) was nothing at all like canon vanny anyway, so I consider her more of an OC than of the character Vanessa. I'll likely try to bring back the "Vanny oc" character, her current changed name is Penny until I decide what else to do with her. Any asks to Vanny/Vanessa will go to the canon version of her -I had a whole ask arc about characters wearing "femboy clothing". and have had drawn responses implying suggestive/sexual things. It was always just a joke to me but I think the lengths I went were a little uncomfortable for me to be drawing as a teen and posting to a large audience. I want my content to be appropriate for anyone to enjoy so consider that type of humor incredibly toned down now. All of the characters are physically asexual bc they are robots made for kids.

Thoughts on wendsday i just finished it im so glad i took some time away from being busy to watch it ! I inflicted my thoughts on my discord friends even thou no one asked so here i am inflicting you with my thoughts even thou no one asked lmao (Spoilers ahead!)

In general:

I absloutely loved the show even if it wasn't exactly accurate or true to the original characters. Its still very complex and has amazing story telling, thou im not sure diminishing the addams "kookienss" was good or not. I suppose sincei always saw the " from inside of the family to outside world" pov it seemed like the addams were the most " absurd and different" thing in thier world but now we have a " the outside world looking at the addams" pov its very different how the world sees them than how they think the world sees them which i geuss is very realistic for anyone thats "different" in any sort of way.

On Wednesday:

Anyway im conflicted alittle about Wednesday halfway she sorta became a veronica mars type of character and it wasn't really on brand of her to just stop enjoying the murder and evil and just become angry vengeful instead. I like that in the end she understood that her kookiness wasn't the problem its that the people around her were different and didn't consent/ sign up to that as she never asked just assumed they would be okay like her family is okay with her.

The rest of the characters:

The rest of the characters are all amazing i love how fleshed out everyone is even minor characters like yoko or the ones who dont get lines at all still alot of backstory and character.

My absloute faves are bianca and Xavier i was team Xavier from the start lmao i genuinely shipped them together cause like the first person to make her smile was him like come on now lmao also i hope they explore more how connected he and Wednesday are i loved that his art and dreams totally backed up her visions also the whole raven thing he keeps drawing is 👀👀👀

Im absloutely interested in Bianca's story i hope that we get more of it soon and not just a few scenes here and there.

Pugsly is such a cute weird lil kid lmao i usually dont like him but here i liked him alot. Gomez was perfect and i could see alot of him in Wednesday. Morticia at the start was just off even if her dialog was great by the second vist i could see they made her more deathly paler and her mannerisms was adjusted a lil and she became Allright. Im not sure about the lil backstory the addams had because source material wise i thought they met at her sister arranged marriage to gomez but alright i guess they went to school together 🤷🏻‍♀️

I hated Tyler from the start cause of the way he spoke without moving his mouth it was wierd like he was constipated lmao kinda thought halfway he was the monster because he just looked like him alot lmao

I still have no idea why Enid's name backwards is Dine or if its even relevant at all but i love her character she is kooky in her own way reminds me of the sub genre of Alternative fashion like pastel goth or pink lolita still very Alternative but colorful i love it

On the set, coloring and costumes:

Genuinely always my favorite thing about burton movies ( f him thou glad i pirated this) but im so happy to see some directors still use real sets and not shy away from the clutter and details i had to pause several times in one scene to take it all in and notice all the little details its amazing.

The most fascinating thing about this this the use of color ( not just lighting) but the different sets rooms having specific color themes like the window in Wednesday's room alone is the most beautiful piece of story telling ever in every scene but also somthing like the therapists office being completely biege is an amazing touch.

The costumes are okay there were moments that stood out but nothing crazy Wednesday's raven dress was ofc incredible but i like her last dress in the last scene too love the lace collar! it absolutely was me who was looking for idiosyncratic ship names!! i was from the age of fandom (or maybe the particular fandom??) that had quite a lot of them! specifically young justice in the mid 2010s? we had spitfire, museum heist, chalant, i think red cat? we had a ton! and i feel like i saw it in other fandoms for a bit too but it slowly died off!

i just loved how clever they were! i think i also remember at one point people also were rather poetic about ot3 names? i think i remember someone who used to tag their rey, finn, and poe ot3 content with “ot3: mosaics are just broken pieces” and that stuck with me too.

but i LOVE that you’ve shared your own poly ship names with your OC and so generously offered them up for what we know as mashwood right now!! i love the inclusion of the number too!! i feel like back in the day, id tag it like this “ot3: d3flowered” WHICH IS FUN!

i tried thinking of one for them along the same lines of the “museum heist” ot3 which was robin x wally x artemis from young justice…..which if you shortened their names would get robwallart…which then became museum heist! because of the play on the words their name formed, which looked and sounded like “robbing wall art”

so i was kinda trying to play with mashwood like that because their names together currently invoke like….a forest? marshy forest? couldn’t figure out something i liked but i did like the forest imagery, since their planet no longer has them and in ways, they represent a beacon of hope for the planet.

@charlottan glad you asked!!! i'm reading through this excellent article by the royal observatory of greenwich that covers the process of enacting the longitude act, as recorded in The Journals of the House of Commons volume 17. the article mainly concerns any mentions of longitude from page 614 to 758.

the longitude act of 1714 put forth a prize ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 pounds for anyone who could solve the longitude problem. (adjusted, thats roughly 3 million usd and roughly 2.8 million pounds today.)

the problem in question was quite simple: sailors couldn't determine their own longitude. navigators only reliably had latitude and coastlines to follow, and... that's what they did. these sailing patterns where both extremely predictable (sucks for war, great for thieves) and still innacurate. a truly horrific amount of boats simply never returned from sea.

a particularly notable instance of this was the scilly wreck of 1707, in which admiral cloudesley shovel wrecked four british warships. (fireships? cant remember.) killing roughly 1,400 to 2,000 men. this was so notable, that it was in fact brought up in the house of commons as evidence for the longitude act to be passed. (the article details this quite well.)

i'm (slowly) writing a paper about the longitude problem, which will hopefully cover the longitude act, the board of longitude, and john harrison's chronometer. (he essentially solved the longitude problem to a greater degree of accuracy than ever before.)

in the process of writing this paper, ive been looking through any fully available texts on hathitrust.org (and anywhere i can get my hands on them) that seem related or interesting.

that's how i've found such gems as the GRAPHOR, a supposed solution to the longitude problem that didnt even get an answer from the board that was meant to test such solutions. the board had a variety of organizational issues, and was inundated with ridiculous claims and attempts, all racing for a bit of that sweet sweet prize money. the authors of the graphor are clearly absolutely pissed and the 'appeal to the public' is hilarious. they both insult the commisioners of the board (a group of highly respected big name astronomers) and claim the prize of 10,000 pounds is too low for their invention. they even shamelessly assert that the graphor should cause the entirety of navigators to throw out all of the previous tables of navigational information, because it's just that good.

the crux of the longitude problem was that the simplest solution would be a clock that works on a boat. the only issue was NO clocks existed that worked out at sea, and it was widely believed to be impossible to create one that did. this was because the accurate clocks they had back then where pendulum clocks, which the swaying motions of a boat would fuck with. as of such, most of the solutions revolve around time-keeping, for example, using a telescope aboard to ship and the moons of jupiter as a clock!

There are a million and one designs a for every ego depending on the blog, artist, writer etc. Every marvin looks like a wildly different character and people have their own headcannon personalities, genders, orientations and more for every ego. Some people have multiple aus and characters intertwined. So dont go telling anyone their version of the egos is incorrect or not accurate because these characters have been up for interpretation for a VERY long time so please remember that. If you dont like someones version of the egos or its not accurate to whatever cannon comes out, shut the fuck up and leave the one who created that version of said egos alone. All your ego designs are valid and creative and fantastic and dont drop them just for the cannon if you dont want to.

Ego shipping is fine! So far we have had no cannon confirmation to say that theyre siblings, the same person, or related in any way that would make ego shipping wrong. If that becomes the case, most people with either drop it or actively start making the egos their new OCs to continue shipping their personalities and designs. however, if that doesnt happen, dont bash people for shipping the egos. The sanders sides fandom and markiplier fandom get along just fine shipping characters played by the same guy so just be less judgy if you feel the need to tell people you dont like what they like. And if you really dont like it, its not that hard to just block an artist or ask them to tag their ship art and filter the tag. Its really not that deep so dont go sending anon hate to people for shipping the egos.

KINGSLAYERS mermaid lore

in the words of my good friend @iolitemoth, "Hand It Over".

Anyway, there are in fact many humanoid critters creaturing about in the world, but the only ones I've really worked out so far are the mermaids, though technically the plural form of the word in the world is merfolk/sirens (both are used interchangeably).

Their appearance is typically somewhere between DIsney Meramids, Greek Sirens, accurate scary fish-like mermaids, the Deep Ones from The Shadow Over Innsmouth, that fish guy from that weird Sally Hawkins movie, and carnivorous fish.

Here is a helpful chart I made.

At first the merfolk were just kinda vibin in the oiter, and sometimes would peek their heads out of the oiter to peep the dry land. As humanity begin to progress in like society and technology and language and stuff, the merfolk took notice and started telling each other about it, and even copying what the 'landfolk' were doing. They also tried speaking the languages humans spoke, and over may millenia the continous efforts of the mermaids over generations eventually changed their vocal cord structure in a way that allowed them to speak human languages. Though when they speak in those languages they tend to have raspy, garbled voices that can sometimes be hard to understand.

(The mermaids actually have their own language that is still used today, but it's very hard for humans to speak. They learned from mermaids what the words MEAN, but it's just very hard for them to say the words.)

The humans knew of the existence of merfolk of course. At first, they had no idea what to do about them. All they knew was that sometimes around ports/beaches they could catch some fishy losers peeping their heads out and staring at them with them big ol eyes, and babble at them. Occassionally they would unintentionally steal something that was left on beaches or ports/dropped into the water by accident, though they were normally returned once the merfolk were done rotating it around in their hands.

In some areas at the time, mermaids were actually hunted as a food source/for sport because "well theyre basically fish lol" but nowadays thats considered just murder.

Anyway, over time, more and more people (namely Big Brain people but occasionally your average John) started trying to communicate with the mermaids, and eventually could actually talk with them and learn more about their cultures. There are also documented cases of how as far back as ancient Greece, merfolk were basically just allowed around seaports to help remove barnacles from ships and recover lost items, and a story of a pirate crew who accepted a merman as a crew member.

Nowadays, merfolk and landfolk co-exist harmoniously. There are actually some coastal cities/towns/whatevers that have been built specifically to allow landfolk and merfolk to like. literally live together. The most famous of these cities are Miami, Tokyo, Athens, Rio de Janeiro, Sydney, Algiers, and Negombo. The merfolk do actually have their own underwater settlements, and while they aren't as advance as building on the land, they are still very impressive in their own right.

There's also a study built around understanding the cultures of merfolk more, known as Hydro-Anthropology (also Marine Anthropology and Limno-Anthropology, as specific terms for freshwater/saltwater mermaids.) On the flip-side, mermaids have Geo-Anthropology, which is the study of landfolk culture.

Merfolk have wildly varying appearances based on their environments. Sometimes they have a set of legs along with arms to maneuver better, sometimes they have fins instead of arms, sometimes they have more than two eyes, sometimes they have suckers on their palms, forearms, and tails for climbing along rocky walls, and sometimes they even have claws. Their appearance also changes based on the area of the world they live in, or how deep in the ocean they live, and how some mermaids have been found in very weird areas, which I will plan on talking about in another post because it's a very interesting topic to me.

Sirens can also use magic like landfolk, but the majority are water and plant mages, with the occasional earth mage. For a siren to have something like, say, fire magic, they would need to have a family with a fire mage.

Last thing, merfolk and humans have actually been known to have children together, called land-sirens. They can look anywhere from humans with mildly colourful skin to just a mermaid with human eyes. Typical traits seen among most land-sirens is pale skin of unusual colours, gills, sharper teeth, naturally raspy voices, fish tails, and occasionally webbed fingers/toes + fins. They can also breathe both in water and on land. The earliest documented cases of a land-siren came from 1387 somewhere in the Holy Roman Empire, though some art from the 1100s may possibly depict a land-siren.

Honestly I’ve stopped caring about physical ages when it comes to the nations because if anything they either stop aging at 20 or they age super slowly except for America and Germany because of how quickly powerful they got economically. IMPORTANT TO NOTE;;; My pony beads are all around 6x4mm, and the letter beads are 6x6mm. This is considered somewhat Small for kandi bracelets. This isn’t a choice I made to skimp out, this size is actually more expensive and harder to find than the usual 6x9mm, I just very much prefer this size to work with and wear. It’s only a tad bit more subtle, but it fits most people a lot better and I would Definitely recommend it for people with smaller wrists or who are just starting out with Kandi.

🤔 HOW TO ORDER: So basically, how you choose to tell me the pattern you want is up to you, you can draw it out if you want or just try to explain it with words, or whatever else works. Once you explain what you want, I’ll show you what beads I have that match your request, and you can decide what you want out of those options. 

An example could be; “I would like a bracelet with a repeating pattern of red and blue pony beads, with the word PLUR in black on white letters, and two pink stars on each side, just like this!” 

To which I might say; “Ok, here I have 2 shades of red and 4 shades of blue, and I have plain pink stars or iridescent pink, which ones would you like me to use?” and then I’d show you a picture of all of these colors for you to decide! Once we have all your bracelets planned out, I’ll ask for a few more details to give you your total price. Then once the payment goes through, I’ll start working! Whenever your bracelets are all complete, I’ll send you pictures of the finished products to make sure you like them (if not I’ll redo at no extra charge). After you give the OK, I’ll ship them out! 😷 ALLERGY/SENSITIVE SKIN NOTICE: I seal small parts of my bracelets to reduce the chance of breakage. I use a very tiny drop of Loctite Super Glue Gel on the knot. This glue does not keep the beads from moving freely or lock them into place, it’s used sparingly as a sealant. If you ever receive a bracelet that is locked or sticky, I would fully refund you and offer to send another. You can also absolutely opt out of this, Just add “No glue” somewhere to your order. Just be warned that your bracelet will be less protected from breakage. 😷

Kandi and elastic bracelets in general are a bit prone to snapping, but mostly over time and especially if used in rave settings. A year or two ago I saw a post from a south asian woman who ran an avatar (the last airbernder) blog that was like "I need white people to stop focusing on shipping white boys that barely interact, not in the sense that I want them to start them shipping moc (I mean that too) but in the sense that you lose/not focus on the other parts of the media like criticism of imperialism and the power it continuingly holds as a system" and they just wrote it better but tumblr searching system sucks so I can't find it :(

oh that too. some ppl will just <3 completely ignore the meaning of a piece of media and make it all about shipping. i also saw someone saying that about squid game (disclaimer: i havent seen squid game) and how ppl were making it about shippy cutesy fic instead of a critique on capitalism and imperialism and the responses were insane. some ppl were actually arguing that ppl who were writing coffee shop AUs understood the meaning better than op because "the point is that they deserved to live!!!" like... no the point is way more complex than that. and like i get that not every show is deep and all (since we mostly consume media from a monopolized industry most aren't tbh) but when a story's interpretation is considerably watered down like that so shipping can take the front seat it leads to... well, a lot of problems lol. even when the media isnt actually deep

for example destiel and the destiel fans who genuinely believe/d that spn was a completely different show than it was and that dean was supposed to subvert toxic masculinity like. he really isnt. ur just letting ur love for a ship and ur desire for it to become canon at some point cloud ur interpretation of the show, which is hsrmful both on the general sense that ur critical thinking skills are dulling, but also because 1- ppl then go ahead and ignore problems with the narrative and let them go unchallenged; and 2- ppl who point out these problems get attacked en masse for saying that spn is full of toxic masculinity shit (which is true) because the fandom refuses to interpret the show accurately in the name of shipping. ive seen that happen A LOT in the spn fandom, and i dont even go there

thats just an example ofc its not a destiel only thing but like. yeah its one of the many ways in which this whole "fandom revolces around shipping exclusively" culture is harmful imo
