Honestly I’ve stopped caring about physical ages when it comes to the nations because if anything they either stop aging at 20 or they age super slowly except for America and Germany because of how quickly powerful they got economically. And the fact that people really only use physical age to police what other people ship and use the term pedophilla as an all encompassing term for minors when that’s not what the word actually means.

thats valid i mean Like I said i just thought it would be interesting now that we’ve got the heights even though most of them fandom threw it out the window , see the idea of age limit or age cap has never made much sense to me on account that we have figures like grandpa rome who I believe is canonically in his 40s Which like rome is like foxy grandpa with like back issues supremacy but anyway

We have characters like Moldova who are like canonically like 10 and have stayed that way for while , we have characters like aph america who literally were a child for like most of their life and then boom teenager and how that affects their psyche cause like aph america is like a man child ; we have characters like Russia who are also childish by many accounts. Then you have countries that physically might be young but their bodies and energy is old like Japan who I mentioned any day now is gonna have their legs go out and blood pressure increase to high cause of all the salt they eat , we’ve got characters like Italy who we literally see in canon go through signs of puberty even if it’s just a joke like their voice changing like i don’t know Like i think it might be nice to have the official ages even if a lot of them don’t make sense just to get Like more insight On how their bodies work and aging like so far all we know is that tiny tiny bit of the manga and so the other day I was discussing in a friend server about the whole idea of really old Nations and their bone structure and evolution Which also went along with a conversation about heights with the whole thing of like over time certain countries average height have become taller or shorter for like different reasons, following certain historical events In which height in humans has to do generally with net nutrition and genetic potential along with various other factors and I was thinking about the concept of their heights fluctuating like certainly if they could grow economically and then they get a economic depression it effects their health like why couldn’t there be other factors that have to do with their height Like if the height for the average citizen for example assuming that’s what they are using for all these canon heights (they sort of aren’t entirely accurate I can say that much but okay ) would that also improve their height And see like again these are just some silly head canons and questions so but it’s fun to speculate like hima in terms of canon hasn’t exactly paid much attention to like the human ages/ physical ages or even really any of those little details in canon like what seems to matter more is like their ages as countries seeming we see that being mentioned a lot more like for example China, like it hasn’t exactly been of much importance in canon like many of the canon ages that were not even made a reference directly in the. Manga Atleast from what I remember if it was I do not think it was frequent, it’s either from himas blogpost or some secular content , like being the same issues as their human names their physical ages are barely ever brought up? Like do they not have thoughts on their own existence?? Like where do they come from like are they born to have bones ? How are we considering their ages both like physically and nationally ? Like have a feeling I won’t get my questions answered with in this like life time but if we do get it I’m excited for all the headcanons and I’m actually looking forward to seeing fan artists drawing more characters like who knows maybe if we get like official ages chart it will inspire people and we see new fandom contents like even if we get crumbs from hima I’m very curious to see how we’ll go about it as a fandom .. but as for your second part

I wouldn’t say the ages are only used for that , but being in this fandom for this long like i cant say Im really all that surprised Like i know for a fact that’s probably gonna give some people more leverage to make accusations like that - which is pretty crazy considering a false accusations like that can literally ruin someone’s life

Like I’ve seen people get called out for shipping Seychelles with Like Cuba and calling it pedofilia even though Seychelles has no canon human age but for the most part has been portrayed as a grown women - the fandom kinda Just did their fandom thing and like said she was a teenager Which the treatment of her character is a whole bag of worms for another fish to feed on but anyway or stuff like or people shipping Iceland And Estonia and it’s something like

And see I’m not one to get into that whole Like anti shipper , anti anti - pro shipper internet jargon discourse because discourse can be exhausting and sometimes well a waste of time but like I think people need to remember and be conscious of the fact that there’s another human being on the end of the screen, it’s very easy to loose sight of that and make hasty decisions on both ends of the that whole discourse, like fandom for a lot of people is just like hobby ,and some use it as a escape and so I genuinely do not think policing does any good for anyone either side , it’s mentally troubling like the people involved and also seems like a exhausting think to keep up by the people doing it like ultimately it seems to be doing more harm then any good. Because you don’t know why someone is creating or engaging in certain types of content whether it’s considered problematic or not like I’d say you have a higher chance of hurting someone then actually being right Like Whether you are a minor or a adult whatever the case may be , does not absolve you from having any agency as a person to be able to control your behavior and engage in safe internet practices such as blocking and black listing tags or accounts associated with content you do not like and then moving literally right along because you are the one who gets to cultivate your internet experience. And if things are tagged then anything from there on like then there should be no need for the “policing”

Like for a lot of people the word pedo has literally lost it’s like weight for a lot of internet spaces , like it’s a pretty serious accusation which I see people throwing around so often which is scary because then you have people on the internet accusing others of pedofilia when it’s really that they wanna see some dumb anime boy kiss or something which Literally does nothing to actually help the issue of pedofiles who use fandom to hide their ass Like making sure actual pedos And groomers feel uncomfortable in this fandom - considering they actually do pose a threat because there’s a large part of the western fandom at least who are still very young and many of which aren’t exactly engaging in internet safe practices Is probably the issue people should be focusing on and better use of time then worrying about who ships what with who

To sum it up yeah that’s kinda dumb like between the racism and like the whole ship wars that some people actually took seriously lord and ship discourse like nothing surprises me about this pile of ugly rocks fandom anymore
