I am such a fucking freak for making Phantom naive and having someone take advantage of it i cannot help it

Bonus points if they're out at a bar, cause he just sees drunk people around them and that's what alcohol does to you, right? So he starts acting like the people around him. There's a woman at the far end of the room getting ditzy and handsy. Cuddly and giggly, leaning on swiss' shoulder, playing with his hand in his lap, practically purring through his glamor which swiss really should scold him for but it's so damn cute.

The second bottle is gone and Swiss hums that maybe he should swap over to soda for the rest of the night. Little thing like him surely can't hold his "alcohol" - and Phantom whines because "Well dew can drink as much as he likes!! He's lil!!" And yeah, he is, but Dew's got a tolerance for these things (smthn smthn fire ghouls burn alcohol faster like when you cook food w wine in it idk it doesn't matter much).

Huffs and puffs cause he's not a light weight and he's fine, barely feels anything, he likes it, cmon just one more? Swiss chuckles and shakes his head, gives him a little kiss on the temple and mumbles that "I'll learn to say no to you one of these days yknow." Gets a little happy chirp and a smug little "mhm 'course."

Cirrus gives him a look when he saddles up to the bar between her and Cumulus, asks if hes taking care of the little bug. It's his first time out after all. Swiss smiles innocently because of course he is, he'll always take good care of him, never let aaaanything happen to him. Just helping him have fun, feel good. Both ghoulettes know that tone in his voice but he's walking off with bottles in hands before either can call him on it - and besides, their tables aaaall the way over there, and Cirrus gets distracted by Cumulus eating the cherry out of her drink (and then tying the stem in a knot with her tongue).

Swiss tells him to pace himself and Phantom huffs he knows how to drink and yeah. Sure you do.

The level of the bottle goes down and Swiss' hand just keeps moving. From fingers being laced with his to squeezing his knee, drifting, petting his thigh slowly. Not super high up but enough he knows Phantom is watching and holding his breath for it.

Phantom mumbles something about feeling funny while staring at his hand, holding the bottle tight in both of his own, mouth of the bottle resting against his lower lip. He looks fixated. A little entranced by the motion. Swiss feels the ache of desire in his teeth, the same desire the wolf is driven by to chase the little stumbling baby deer.

"Think I wanna go back."

"Aw, already? We haven't been here that long baby."

"'M tired…"

"Poor baby, couldn't handle your drinks. Told you so."

"Noooo! Just tired, barely feel anything." Cute when he argues.

"Well its dangerous to go walking off on your own if youre drunk, but…If you're just tired, then you don't need me to walk you back then, do ya bug?"

He almost looks a little disappointed but tells him that no, he can make it home just fine."im not helpless or anything."

"Of course you're not."

And yeah it's only a few blocks!! It's not a long walk at all, but Swiss and that silver tongue have convinced him hes tipsy. And yeah, his body /is/ tired after all the travel.

But its a city he doesn't know. It's late and dark and the streets are so empty. Swiss doesn't know how he doesn't see the shadows and how they start to lurk, or note that the streetlights flicker as he passes. He forgot how much he loved to stalk. Especially when it's someone who doesn't know his dirty tricks.

Swiss giving Aeon a nonalcoholic beer one night without telling him, and being absolutely delighted when the little lightweight starts acting silly after half a bottle. Encouraging him to finish the bottle and cracking the lid on another as Aeon gets more and more "drunk", absolutely delighted at how easily influenced the new kid is.

Hope he doesn't take advantage when Aeon starts getting clingy and rubbing up against him.

YES there is magic. Of course im still working on this storywise but im getting characters designs n whatnot done right now. Dynamics n stuff. BUT i do have some refs i made before my laptop broke.

I like to draw out certain stuff so that it helps with descriptions in the future; i have the worst memory so it helps to be able to do so. (More beneath cut)

Im so excited for moon's shadow form. Oh my god. Its probably my favorite thing right now.

Fun thing about it is that in this form he can touch you but you cant touch him. Something something you can be cast in shadow but you cant take it off yk? He's still light sensitive like this though, so if the area hes in isn't dark enough or he's hit with anything too bright he just reverts back. At that point he'd just have to rely on normal hand to hand stuff and his sand lol. The shadow form is just better for sneaking and speed. Really, he's some amalgamative idea of the sandman and boogieman. I thought it fit well with his whole "naptime attendant gone wrong" thing.

Sun's design, however, is more like if you mixed a cowboy, wizard, and gravedigger together. I made it a while ago on a whim with no intention behind it but then i ended up thinking "ykw would be so awesome".

The hat dips to cover the crescent side of his face (not intentional on his part) to symbolize his resentment towards moon and how he basically damned him to an hourglass. His eyes are easier to see bc of this which could seem more trusting (eyes are the window to the soul or whatever), but the thing is thats not normal for him (as we know) so it's meant to make him look suspicious and looming to 4th wall viewers. There's also the fact that i just thought it was cool too.

He also doesn't get a second form. Moon's sneaky and weird so i thought it would fit to give him some freaky thing iykwim. Sun, however, is a pretty "in your face" kinda guy, so his look and fight style is more extravagant and boisterous. Lots of swinging amd yelling and boom bang zap! Despite the showiness he's actually a longer range fighter. Mainly because unlike moon, thousands of years ago, he wasn't often one to get violent with his hands. His weapon is just obnoxiously large too though.

They are still one animatronic and their transformation is still triggered by light. Instead of an AI chip though (which is still in there but long dead), they live through the work of a soul. They're still physically inorganic but as far as spiritually they're as close as they're gonna get to being human. Their life and functionailty is derived from the magic itself, not the machinery. Like if for some reason they lost all their magic they'd just drop dead from a battery life long since drained.

The hourglass has a carousel-like design to it purely as reference to moon's level in Help Wanted 2.

Sorry for rambling so much but this is what i've got for you so far! I have a general idea for the plot but im tryna to make it more than what it is rn, so i dont wanna share too much of that just yet in case i change or completely toss away an idea.

and i love her little pathetic fake stepping in place to make it seem like she was leaving, LOL. as well as how cute she is hopping on her two feet while her dad is amazed. like yaaaaah i did thattttt i know my stuff.

ziqi listening to this convo goes down had me wondering why, esp with his solemn-type expression. are you just spying on her? did u have intentions on talking to her, but overheard all this so you stayed and listened? like i actually wonder if he kinda wanted to follow up on his 0% feelings from the festival? idk! but hearing this caused a fork in the road and he chose a different approach to her from what he couldve been planning.

miaomiao blaming herself for her dads death is so so sad. it must be a bit difficult at this moment to believe that the man next to her is some version of her father while thinking of her real one, and it is a little jarring to hear them both talk about him as some Other Person, instead of "no, i wouldnt have blamed you, dear," but the feeling is there all the same. at the end of the day, that is like her dad, but shes definitely trying to detach a little bit because its Not, and goes as far as calling him "old lin" to create a boundary for herself, i imagine. otherwise, she would absolutely get too attached, and thats why she also warns him if she suddenly goes back to being mean she hopes he isnt upset.

miaomiao im sorry his bitch ass eavesdropped and isnt even apologetic about it. he didnt seem so sinister when he was listening, but now hes cornering her! and she is so surprised at it too! you can see how shes processing what hes saying and what that means. oh shes so offended, even though in the imperial capital shes so for it. i love that scene there lol.

from the moment i first watched this moment, i knew ziqi had some connection to the real world. i was like, why does he care so much about this? he cares a lot. this is kinda sus. and after the Go game they definitely make it more obvious.

i wonder whats going on in his head when he asks this tho? is he thinking that she is some type of demon who can time/universe travel or something? because hes linking that to her being weird/sneaky, and i cant imagine how else he would make it make sense in his head given the universe.

i havent been inside a grocery store in what feels like forever but last night i couldnt avoid it. when i went inside, there was this kid (maybe 18? 20? idk, im terrible at judging peoples age) swearing up a storm at her phone looking really exasperated, so i asked her if everything was okay?

(in my experience, when you ask people “is everything ok?” they usually say yes even if theyre in distress - people suffer in silence literally all the time bc unfortunately thats our culture - but when someone details out e x a c t l y what is wrong, they are asking you for your help even if they do not explicitly say the words, “please help me”)

she said her phone screen had just died (phone working, but screen display not working) and her parents had just sent her to the grocery store to get some stuff, but they insisted that she write everything down old school on a piece of paper, and the kid adamantly refused bc she said she could easily remember everything. now, unbeknownst to her parents, what she did was write it all down in a text message to herself. but now her screen had just died and she was DESPERATE to not have to go back to her parents for the list

after hearing this i suggest that she just use voice control to read her text messages back to her and she was like 🤯

i said yeah, just say something like “hey siri read back my last text message” and it should read back whatever messages you received recently. lol, and at first she looked like she didnt believe me and i told her to just try it. so she invoked siri and ofc it worked and read her back her text message with the grocery list. it was funny af because at first she didnt write anything down and she was like, OMG I DIDNT WRITE IT DOWN!! but since i was just getting off of work, i had a pen and paper on me so she wrote it down the second time. and she was sooo happy she was literally jumping up and down afterwards. sadly, she said her parents treat her like a dummy (her words) and she couldnt have beared having to go back and ask them for the list

so she gave me a big hug and (masked) kiss on the cheek and thanked me repeatedly and profusely

now here is the really funny part that tickled me and got me laughing out loud: without even the slightest bit of intentional derisiveness, she says, “thanks so much! i really think its great when people your age know how to use technology and computers”

and that was straight up the funniest shit thats happened to me in a hot minute. like, whats next, people holding the door open for me and saying, “here you go sir”? i actually got carded the other day. will that suddenly come to a halt now?

okay so like I have had this theory for a while but I had to rewatch the first and second episode of genloss to fully explain it

okay so like gl!slimecicle is OBSESSED with slime right?

he has a ‘secret stash’ gl!ranboo finds in the fridge and gl!slimecicle goes “dont tell anyone I dont like rats!”

why wouldnt he want anyone to know?

well you know how the slime=blood in genloss? (which is canon because of the parallel in the ep.2 episode cover and the operation scene)

what if gl!slimecicle wanted to warn gl!ranboo behind showfalls backs?

he also had skulls and teeth hidden around the basement. he even had an urn (WHICH HE MIGHTVE KNOCKED OVER TO GET RANBOOS ATTENTION !!), and yes its supposed to be a silly joke but what if gl!slimecicle gained consciousness for a bit (or he may have done it subconsciously with the information that the contestants real minds can subtly communicate) and scattered the remains of old contestants to warn them about the gameshows real malicious intent? all of the ‘slime’ was just the blood and guts of the contestants. gl!ranboo didnt realize any of this. this could be a stretch but couldnt frank also have been a skeleton of a past contestant? what if showfall media realized what gl!slimecicle was doing and just made ‘frank’ a part of the show as a joke to distract gl!ranboo? honestly it mightve also been to try and warn himself and or to snap out of it, and it also couldve been to warn and untrance as many people as possible.

gl!sneeg was locked down in the basement for saying no to the game. do you think that gl!slimecicle put him there after saying no because there was a chance he mightve still been a bit conscious and could warn the next contestant? or did he put him there because starving/death of malnutrition is better than getting turned into a showfall slave?

showfall media mightve seen what gl!slimecicle was doing and made him be the operation victim as a form of punishment, and we all know that wasnt just slime. (googoobie 🤯)

UNDERGRAD:

1st year-3rd year college: jungkook and mingyu bff era (studied premed together) see their history here

around 3rd year: jungkook dated his first girlfriend park jiyeon. but later on she cheated on him with mingyu. mingyu and jk's friendship was broken off after that

4th year: jk started to date a lot lol a trauma response from his previous experience. wouldnt say he was a fuckboy tho just that he started to get out there more!!! he had and still is having a hard time dating seriously because of what happened with jiyeon.

after graduation, mingyu and him lost contact (intention on both sides most esp jk)

POST GRAD (MED SCHOOL)

1st term, 1st year med school: jk met oc at the law library with his law student friend jimin (see drabble)

2nd term, 1st year med school: jk met doyeon. doyeon develops a crush on jk. the three (oc jk doyeon) formed a study group. oc and eunwoo went out more.

around 2nd sem-ish of first year: oc starts developing feelings for eunwoo (mentioned in part 1 main story how). she then started seeing eunwoo time to time BUT she was pretty much single the entirety of her freshman year in med school

1st sem, 2nd year: taehyung joins the study group. oc and eunwoo became official

3rd year, med school: eunwoo and oc had a falling out. there was an almost confession and kiss that happened between jk and oc (mentioned in pt2) so OC does know that jk liked her BEFORE. but oc and eunwoo dated e/o again.

4th year, med school: jungkook and min sora dated. eunwoo proposed to oc. jk and sora broke up after a year of dating (all of this are mentioned pt2).

RESIDENCY

internship year (1st year residency): oc and eunwoo broke up. nayeon was a co intern and the 5 became friends!

2nd year residency: oc single era. had a hard time moving on from eunwoo for two years ):

3rd year residency: oc has just been dating casually/going to blind dates. so is jk.

4th year residency: PRESENT TIME. this is where the main story starts. oc dates mingyu then yadda yadda.

A LITTLE BIT OF CONFIRMATION

was jungkook really inlove with her for the whole timeline?

i went into detail about this in part 3 but what i will say is that. he had a HUGE crush on oc for the entirety of freshman year but he was really indenial about his feelings. the reason why is bcs he was a bit scared of loving somebody again. and it wasnt too long since park jiyeon around that time so that was definitely a huge factor. he only admitted to himself that he was inlove with oc during second year, when oc and eunwoo had already become official. he tried to move on a lot of times bcs eunwoo and oc just seemed really perfect for each other. this is basically what he does for the entirety of 8 years tbh: try to move on from oc. then going back. try to move on again. then go back. he couldnt make a move for the entirety of 4 years. miss maam was in a pretty much solid relationship. then its another 2 years of oc moving on from eunwoo. the remaining 2 years is just a lot of back n forth of fears and doubts and uncertainties. he admits to being a coward but i think ultimately he respects their friendship a lot and would never want to jeopardize it, hence why it took him so long to confess (and it didnt even come out right lol)

Would you agree that between c!dream and c!punz, c!punz seems to be the more crueler. I was talking to another blog about it, and we spoke about the final lore streams where c!punz didnt care about c!clingys problems, most notably c!tommy almost taking his own life in exile (but then again he is desensitized to death cuz revival book lol) But, c!punz was the one to stick to the revival book plan near the end while c!dream opened up and showed vulnerability. I have seen a lot of fics characterize c!punz as being the one to be more softer and less inclined to hurt others for a goal, but after seeing the final streams I can't help but feel like its the other way around. I'm really curious on your take about it, and its fine if you disagree. Also really love your blog, you seem like such a kind person :)

Hmm ok well here are my thoughts on the matter at the moment, however as I rewatch more lore I might change my opinion.

Well in regards to c!Punz not caring about clingy duo’s problems, you’re assuming he hasn’t heard it before. We don’t know if thats new information, it’s possible c!Dream told him about the tower. In fact, since he was often still apart of the smp and conversations going on it’s very likely he’s heard a lot of what they said already. He’s a spy after all, it’s his job to know things.

Secondly, it’d be very hard to be empathetic to someone about themselves almost killing themself over a year ago when they just broke into the prison and murdered his friend. The revive book and such has clearly corrupted both of their empathies seen in their experiments. So, c!Punz already has a lack of empathy or at least is desensitized, the last person I’d expect him to sympathize with would be his enemy, especially when clingy duo weren’t really hearing what he had to say. I mean it’s insulting to be ignored after lying and hiding for so long and finally be able to share your opinion, but also the fact that clingy duo (and others) really thought he was cold enough to betray his friend for a measly amount of money to the point they question when it turns out to be fake. I mean that’s pretty offensive.

On that note though, it is also important to point out that those conversations in the finale are in his ‘evil role persona’ just like c!Dream he’s playing a part - one of the greedy mercenary just in this case for power. So if he seems cruel that’s intentional. Though I will say, he does give c!Tubbo and c!Tommy plenty of steak when they ask, which does say something, with this being c!Dream’s response:

“Wow, being humane. You could have waited.” And “don’t give him more, don’t give him more” [5:50]

And most importantly, I think that because we don’t get to see c!Punz break down like c!Dream the assumption is that even though it turns out c!Dream just didn’t want to be alone, c!Punz is still power hungry. But I think that’s a little unfair to c!Punz because it’s not like we saw him vulnerably be opened up like that, so is it fair to say he still has the stated goals. I talk about this a little more here [post]. What he does say in that conversation isn’t about power but about friendship. When Tommy is dissecting c!Dream c!Punz remarks on it:

“What can you just read minds now? are you just a mind reader—you knew it like—What?” [clip]

And this could probably be taken different ways, but given how he goes quiet whenever c!Dream wants to talk and seems to defend him in their conversation I see it more as like a - don’t put words into his mouth sort of thing. And because c!Tommy and people kinda do that it makes sense for c!Punz to be on guard for it. And there’s the comment about him being c!Dream’s friend. [clip]

In the less performative moments in the ending finale, c!Punz isn’t cutting in with something about power but about friendship and having c!Dream’s back. So I’m of the opinion more so that c!Punz was c!Dream’s friend, c!Dream became afraid and obsessed with death, and c!Punz stayed by his side, getting corrupted along with him. If it was about the Plan and power for c!Punz, I think he would’ve said different things like arguing with c!Dream about his goal and stuff. And there’s not really a lot of evidence to say c!Punz would’ve stayed by the plan had things not ended (though we shall never know for certain). But I think while it’s a common assumption to make, I think it’s a little unfair to say c!Punz was all just for the plan because we don’t hear him get fully vulnerable.

So given that, no I don’t think c!Punz is particularly crueler. But I do think he would do things c!Dream wouldn’t. While c!Dream is run by rational thoughts, c!Punz seems to be more emotional so (as expressed in my fics) I could totally see him going for violent revenge on behalf of his friendship with c!Dream. Perhaps then that makes him crueler? But I guess it would depend on your perspective of cruel, I suppose I was seeing cruel in this context as heartless, which I don’t think c!Punz is. In other words, he is wholesome to c!Dream, but everyone who wronged him better watch out. (I mean think about the scene of c!Punz leading c!Tommy and c!Tubbo down the stairs enraged by them killing c!Dream and him suggesting c!Purpled and c!Dream tie c!Quackity to a chair and torture him.)

Why don't the prequels work as Vader's backstory? It's literally about how anyone no matter how good or well intentioned has the propensity for evil if they let themselves make bad decisions.

Narratively I think it's beautiful and tragic that way.

i think the prequels r actually about how corruption and manipulation and desperation and fear can ruin a person---not just bad decisions :3c and the prequels r consistent with some of the messaging of the originals in that way but that doesnt necessarily mean they serve as a good backstory

heres a handful of reasons why i dont think anakins back story really works with vader:

the originals imply that anakin and uncle owen are blood brothers or at least grew up together. owen sees anakin in luke and this is something that would only really be possible if owen knew anakin well as a teenager. this is also the reason why owen doesnt tell luke about the jedi; he thinks that luke will, like his father, run off to become some sort of war hero and die in the process bc thats what he thinks happened to anakin (some ppl think that owen suspects anakin became vader but i think this is a stretch). the prequels establish that they dont know eachother and didnt grow up together. owen doesnt know anakin outside of what he mightve seen in war/ republic propaganda and thats not very indicative of character. this also raises questions about why obiwan gave luke to owen/ why they took him in in the first place. it makes more sense for anakin and owen to have been very close bc then obiwan wouldve heard of owen and would genuinely trust him to raise his best friends son and owen wouldve cared enough about luke to raise him as his own

what we're led to believe in the originals is that anakin was a powerful jedi who lost sight of what he was fighting for. we're led to believe that he was torn, that the war corrupted him, that war isnt the answer. this works bc the originals r meant to be symbolic of the vietnam war (where the empire would be america) and so this idea of the consequences of war and the importance of peace is a huge part of the originals message. while this is somewhat supported by the prequels its undermined by the fact that anakins fall is mostly bc of YEARS of grooming starting from when he was a kid. this wasnt a normal, good man who lost sight of what was right and crumpled under the weight of a war. this was a man who was the most special of them all and fell bc he had space hitler literally whispering in his ear since before he knew he was a person. thats not the same thing at all! and that steals the implication that vader could have been any soldier, any general and makes his story all messy

side note- leia has vague memories of her mother which means padme shouldntve died in childbirth and should probably have died/ left the twins when they were at least a year or two old. this would also give more reason as to why the lars have luke call them aunt and uncle rather than mom or dad. i think what probably shouldve happened is that padme got pregnant right before anakin was shipped out at some point so he didnt know he had kids before "dying" and she ended up getting involvef in the rebellion/ fearing for her kids safety and had to get rid of em. literally anything else than what happened in canon lol like wtf is dying of heartbreak get OUT

my final thought i can think of rn is that having hitlers right hand man be a slave is just kinda a strange backstory? like i cant be the only one who doesnt like that. idk. doesnt feel right :/

obv most this stuff is just preference and obv you can argue against most of it. the prequels Do technically work but theyre not great backstory. im also not a fan of how the jedi order and all that mess was established. like you can only be one if youre raised one since diapers but luke literally didnt know what the force was until he was 19 but he ended up being one of the most powerful jedi ever??? yeah. makes perfect sense. :////

i do agree that the prequels r tragic and beautiful in their own right. i think the story they tell is good in some ways and bad in others ans one of the ways they r bad is how they tie in with the originals lol

a while ago i saw a really bad take on Pinterest and it has tormented me ever since so i must make a post on it

the word vomit underneath this is pretty long and a taaad bit organized youve been warned

what was this take about, you ask? well, it was about Serial designation V, and was one of those "fanon VS canon" things. in this post, they claimed that fanon is "uwu shy" which. sometimes, and yeah, thats not true to V's character. HOWEVER the canon they claim was just. "haha murder inlove killing" which is ALSO untrue. these are both UNTRUE and i will not stand for this slander and oversimplification of my blorbo so here is why simplifying her to one of these characterizations is bad 👎

YES she is shown to be a very ruthless killer in the show. however. this IS NOT HER ENTIRE CHARACTER. boiling her down to some kind of heartless ruthless killer ignores a lot of her story, including the fact that while she was obviously very different in the past, her manor/worker drone version is still very much her- her personality and body may have changed, but she still went through what she did at the manor, and your past still effects you no matter how much you change or even if you dont fully remember it. also. it is especially weird to characterize her as a heartless killer considering in the prom episode, while she came in with the intent to kill a lotta drones. she didnt, only shooting doll [ and she was fiiiiiine. mild headache. ]

also! while most of her past personality changes from being shy like she was in the manor, its still not accurate to say its not any part of her character at any point.

ALSO i hate characterizing V as not caring about anyone but herself because ITS SO UNTRUE. she clearly cares about N, and its shown so many times in the show. like... definitely cares about him in the manor, but even in current times- when she fights with him in the camp episode, she says that if they do their jobs "that thing" [ cyn ] leaves them alone, and earlier when she asks him [ and "that purple thing." lol ] to stop prying into stuff- its obviously not to protect Cyn, its because she doesnt want N to get hurt- also, she clearly cares for Lizzy and Uzi which really shows in the camp episode, Like, she saves lizzy and yeah, she claims its just to kill uzi... she has no reason to continue hanging out with lizzy and clearly enjoys her company, not to mention she doesn't even end up killing uzi.

ALSO in the camp episode we see how she looks back at N and Uzi before claiming she was the one who killed the campers, which like. if you believe her to be heartless or only focused on murder there is NO REASON to do that.

ALSO she does possibly threaten uzi in the camp episode but theres also a lot of theory that was Cyn which is. entirely possible but even if it was her it seems like it could be a way to protect her in some weird way- same way she seems to think keeping N from prying into stuff and doing his job will keep him safe from Cyn. i could go on and on about why she clearly does care a lot about others but

does this look like the actions of someone whos only cares are murder and killing. She obviously does make a lot of snarky/rude remarks and acts as if she doesn't care about others but something i think a lot of people forget is .. sometimes characters lie or conceal their true feelings. like, we definitely see that she doesn't really mean those snarky comments in moments like her taking the blame for the camp situation, her changing her mind about killing everybody at prom, her helping the unconscious uzi by carrying her. also i want to specify examples from ep.8 cause i feel like it has a lot- seeing how scared she looked when cyn was moments was away from eating N's core, when she was in the hallway with Cyn, and honestly the whole episode - she rejected J trying to bring her to Cyn's side, helped them in the whole fight, followed N to make sure Uzi was okay- and in the end, when she smiles at N's drawing and honestly all the after credits scenes where shes just. hanging out with them

UM anyways moral of the story: V is a character who cannot be flattened to just shy or to just murder crazy. she is a very ruthless killer, but also cares a lot about people shes close too, and wants to protect them, even if the ways she tries to protect them arent the best- and she definitely acts very snarky and acts as if she doesn't care about them, but her actions speak loud enough to show that she does care.

This amazing doctor with zero people skills, even more, this doctor that hates interacting with ppl while being the best in the country if not for all the complaints and lawsuits on his record just on the basis of being an asshole or ghosting patients even if he cures them

Luffy, some famous daredevil adventurer type with more money than he would know what to do with probably part of the mob somehow, has an older brother who needs a heart transplant. With all the other issues that Ace has, its unlikely he'll get one, even if they are on multiple transplant list, and nobody actually knows whats wrong with his heart.

(I use Ace for this trope in every fic Im not sorry. That boi can be a damsel in so many ways cx)

Luffy being Luffy decides to wander around hospitals until he A: convinces someone to give up a heart or B: Find out whats wrong with Ace, with no success on either front.

Then while wandering around he hears someone go "Yeah Trafalgar Law, best fucking doctor I have ever had the displeasure of meeting, dudes a fcking headcase but he gets the job done."

Luffy doesnt listen to most of it. He heard a name and best. Tracks Traffy down immediately! No hesitation.

With the full intent to throw money at the hospital to make them put Law on his brothers case.

But he doesn't have to, Law is ahead of him, as he keeps an eye on cases that enter his hospital and not like Luffy has been subtle in looking for Law lol, and he drops a letter in the room "Ill treat your brother, if you stop looking and leave me the fuck alone"

Luffy dumps money at the hospital anyway, and he doesn't leave Law alone, but not on purpose. The dean of the hospital keeps doing everything so they dont meet as they know as soon as they do, and Law opens his mouth, thats it for the money flow.

Luffy isnt about to go with anything anyone tries to make him do, so he finds himself trying to avoid doctors and nurses.

Law does the same, and thats how they meet. In an empty unused exam room that's more of a storage space than anything.

Luffy has no idea who Law is, he didnt bother seeing how he looked after getting the letter. He stopped looking cause it is Ace's life on the line.

Law, meanwhile, knows exactly who Luffy is, though doesn't say anything. They bond over hiding out, and soon, it becomes routine to hang out.

Eventually, Ace gets a new heart and is cured of whatever. He is discharged.

Law almost regrets that he won't spend time with Luffy anymore. He's grown to like their talks.

Luffy doesn't think about it yet. Happy his brother is healthy. When they are about to leave the hospital. Ace points and says 'yo thats the doc, i know you asked who the fuck he was' Ace only saw the man once, and Law ofc pissed him off by flippant remarks. "He's an ass"

Luffy follows his gaze and grins. "Woah, woah, that's the doc I was hanging with! He's the best" He bounces on his heels "Hey! TRAFFY!" Thats ofc what he has been calling the doc even if they never met. He runs over to Law. "My number! We should hang out all official like, I'll text you!" Then he runs out without waiting for an answer, going after Ace.

Law is a little stunned and more than a bit embarrassed that he yelled that in front of everyone. Rumors spiral for days. Law waits for his phone to buzz from Luffy but decides that it's not gonna happen and tries to go back to his life. Which is the exact point that Luffy texts him. 'Picking you up at 9!' And that's it.

They go on a date, if it can be called that. They go urban exploring because Law mentioned he was an enthusiast but didnt have the time or motivation. Luffy drags him to all his favorite places. Its the best date he has ever been on.

They go like that for awhile, at the most random times and days, Law always drops what he is doing, its a highlight in what he considers an otherwise annoying day to day.

Luffy is just happy he can make Traffy happy for saving his brother.

Law is the one who asks if Luffy wants to make it official, be boyfriends. For the first time in his life he finds himself almost stuttering over his words.

Luffy grins and nods enthusiastcly, then they kiss and everything is cool.

Law now marginally happier then he was, gets less complaints and gets along with patients a little better even if they still annoy him, he knows that if he didnt interact that one time, he would have never met Luffy.

i got two species obvs: moth aliens and bat aliens,,, both dont have names i am broken

**moth aliens**

-had a ggggeneral idea of them being telepathic/having healing/prolonged life/free of disease properties. my thought was that peppa acquires baby before it is a baby and is in fact a pod/egg that senses/imprints/bonds to her and hatches lol. (figure the pod/egg is kinda like cryostasis for infants, sustains them but is effectively ageless and baby will gestate in it but will not be born/start aging until it “hatches”) also thought maybe baby would heal her if she gets injured at some point. maybe the antennae glow when theyre using their powers. antennae glow with heightened emotions too, less controllable when theyre younger. Also figured the antennae grow as they age; moss has lil baby caterpillar size ones rn, but they get bigger like a moth’s when he’s older.

-white/pale in scheme. my intent was to have them be like a trek species that still has "human" skin colors, just a little extra on their foreheads, i.e. antennae. maybe do something unique with their eyes? i didnt want them to have wings or extra arms.

-i thought IF they had winglike features, theyd be more like, technological inventions that respond to their brain patterns and extend from their backs when they wear certain clothing/suits. had a vague idea of them being kinda like, "light" and glowing. idk if ill do this, its like unnecessary lore that doesnt even apply to a baby lol. Maybe solar powered??? their whole planet is fueled by stars as it drifts in and out of their orbit

-liked the idea of silky clothing, dont know how to visually accomplish this yet in a way that seems "alien"

-also probably omnivorous? for contrast w/ the bats…..

-my meek little worldbuildy lore for them is that they're like, an advanced civilization and progressed rapidly in response to their planet's star reaching some stage of unsustainability for their planet. so they construct the ability to break their planet from orbit and it's effectively a planet-sized ship that houses their entire population (not fast, likely cannot go to warp, but it's a drifting planet). i figure its like, not huge for a planet lol, but still big. they somehow constructed this huge shielding technology/dome that surrounds the planet and makes it look like a big black orb but can pinch/extend itself to let light from passing stars in or protect the planet from debris. At the cost of this, theyre not super savvy on actual starships and are actually rather “grounded.” theyre also just VERY dependent on solar power as its how they sustain themselves and their planet-ship.

-I think the moth aliens are a bit naive/sheltered so like, maybe when i say “telepathic” its like, they see the best in people, but maybe not everything??? Idk get back to me on that one haha i had the idea of baby Moss digging philippa’s vibe and thats why he hatches/bonds to her. (((i also thought maybe its a maternal thing going on with philippa,,,,,,,,,,, WELL SEE))))

**bat aliens**

-to accompany the moth alien “lore”, this part’s still vague for me in my head bc its not fitting perfectly yet lol. But my current thought i dont 100% like is that the bat aliens are another civilization of aliens drifting in space aboard a starship this time so their numbers are drastically smaller. Theyve come from a similar situation but are way less smart so their planet became uninhabitable (another dying star maybe? I figure they sympathize with their plight) and they were forced to abandon it in search of a new home. the moth aliens let them land on their planet and they end up taking the bat aliens in and coexisting.

-Bat aliens end up like, substantially growing in numbers, maybe they have litters of children where the moth aliens’ babies take significant time to hatch SHRUG. And this is where im kinda like uuuuuuuh????? VERY PRONE TO CHANGE Like my thought was that somehow somewhy the bat aliens start using moth aliens’ blood for infusion type stuff at first, but it ends up exposing these perks to their biology of like, heightened brain function, maybe the lowkey telepathic abilities, etc. methinks bat aliens’ impression is that theyre looked down upon and its a way to rise above their cohabitants or w/e. stuff behind the scenes starts going down, moth aliens start mysteriously vanishing/dying, certain bat alien figures start rising into power, they kinda suppress the moth aliens, they start dwindling in numbers. Idk timewise how long it takes for all of this to go down, but their civilization eventually gets wiped out. Whether or not theyre all aware of what they’re infusing into themselves idk i havent really thought of the specifics other than like, the bat aliens that have been living off of it for generations are getting progressively changed in appearance and take on a lot of the moth aliens’ features/traits. it could be that only the higher ups in the society know the secret as theyre the ones with direct access to doling out the supply to their civilization.

-i could easily change what ive made with these guys ngl im PRETTY dissatisfied with my attempts lmao. But initially my visual thoughts for them are they’re scavengers, darker color schemes where its obvious they havent had sunlight on them in a long time, id wanted to give them features that would easily contrast with that of the moth aliens so its more like, blatantly obvious that theyve begun adopting their physical traits i.e. having whiter fur, developing little antennae, maybe their eyes change, etc.

-i also figured theyd have started off as having protruding fangs to blatantly show that theyre more genetically inclined to be carnivorous, but the ones that are infusing moth blood like, still HAVE fangs but theyre smaller. And because of their altered biology likeeee, meat isnt as appetizing to them now.

-ALSO didnt want wings for these aliens,, just want humanoid,,,,, i thought maybe going more gargoyle in their natural state and they straighten out their posture with the moth blood lol. But idk its vague and messy. :^)

okay so i wasnt able to stop myself from immediately discussing ep 4 here and ep 5 here and here because the festival is my favorite part of the show.

but ill now be starting from the beginning because i love this show and wanna discuss my personal favorite moments from the episodes!! im not much of an analyzer but i may say a few things here and there...

where do i begin?! skipping past the first part where we're introduced to miaomiao and the her being struck by lightning and all (which was hilarious) let's get into how CUTE she was waving hi to fuyi!!! i fell in love with her smile asap (as someone who never saw esther yu before.)

what's extra hilarious is the cheering scene, and ill bring this point up again later, but the way she GOES for it, arms linked and all... oh, shes a drinker. in the real world, shes definitely able to outdrink someone.

and i just wanna say they made yao look SO cool on her entry!!! i love her weapon, shes so sick. what a scene!

the fight scene is neither here nor there for me, except for the fact that i felt like the glass pieces kept getting further away and then closer when required, LOL. the continuity was not there. love how ziqi comes in like goku, and never does it again in the series (i dont think?) amazing work. but he looks so hot stalking up to the mirror demon, uncaring about her threats. how'd they get out? what happened to them after that big fire blast? who knows. theyre fine. but heres the first shot of our ziqi being overprotective of yao!! goooood the sister dependency is such a character flaw for you my baby.

rolling his eyes at fuyi being so righteous, and then... dont touch my a'jie. the way his hair is blowing in this scene is phenomenal. credit to the fan making him even more gorgeous while all he's doing is staring at his sister. (ding yuxi has no bad angles and a handsome face coupled with amazing acting skills and weirdly great at intense staring.)

but really appreciate the way we have scenes of how the novel went, seeing esther portray the serious and selfish lin yu is a nice look and so different from how miaomiao is. i didnt read the novel, not that i imagine the drama would follow the same plot, but i wonder how long the demon catchers had been with her for ziqi to see lin yu the way he does.

and, i love how miaomiao visibly shakes after remembering the way the marriage goes between lin yu and mu sheng in the book. girl, id be feeling just as shaken up.

can i just say fuyi looks absolutely gorgeous here... literally handsome. breathtaking. i love the little detail with the cloth? streamers? folded over in his hair.

god, this is so funny. you can tell how shes like in the real world. total fangirl and shipper, its beautiful. shes really one of us. also, youre not the supporting lead actress anymore! this is officially your novel, you just dont realize it yet.

1. if anything ive seen a few theories of kazui possibly revealing himself to be a two faced manipulator of sorts due to his self proclaimed liarness…. like ‘ohh u cant trust what he says he cld be trying to make himself look pitiable to the audience to get voted inno’ sort of theories which is. no he wont do that???

is he a liar? to a degree yes—liar not in the sense that what he says are direct falsities, but more like hes built much of his character to constantly disguise his true intentions/feelings as a defense mechanism. the lies he says are less of words from a schemer and more of redirections from someone who is, all in all, an insecure adult scared of what will happen if he isnt able to meet peoples expectations of him

as much as he calls himself a liar hes mad honest about where he thinks his capabilities lie, which is to say he doesnt believe in his capabilities at all lol. when amane asks him for help with her studies, he turns her down after some consideration bc he doesnt believe himself to be smart enough to help (despite having graduated from a university; sports degree or not credit shld be given where credit is due). when he talks to shidou post ktk attack, he refuses to admit doing any of the work in taking care of the situation and instead puts all the praise onto shidou. even his physical strength and skill (which is arguably the one part of him he does acknowledge and take some sort of belief in) is something he treats as less of something that he has achieved himself and more of an obligation of his—like, hes strong bc to him he HAS to be, bc it is expected of him to protect those who need protecting. he does want to protect others, sure, but much of that wanting comes frm how ingrained it is in him that thats what hes good for, thats what his strength is for (his timeline w/ yuno on her bday says as much nyway)

the way i see it, that self deprication of his plays back into his obsession with meeting the expectations placed onto him, or at least lessening the disappointment of others by lessening those expectations in the first place. if u tell someone that u didnt go to the right university, that u didnt do much to help anyway, that u were born so fundamentally wrong as a person that everything is bound to go to shit as long as ur there (he basically said this to es in his t1 vd im not even kidding), wouldnt that ensure the safety that youre less likely to ruin someone elses confidence in you? less likely to ruin bc in the small chance that u still fuck up, theres not much left to ruin at that point

in the end ig what i wish more ppl understood abt kazui is that hes a liar yes, but not a manipulator. he lies to stay safe, not to be a sadist or whatever. you cant take what he says at face value (in much the same way u cant do the same for any other prisoner tbh), but that does not mean u shldnt take anything he says srsly at all!!!

2. ok this one i have to give a bit of thought, mostly bc i cant pick just one

if the standards were which t2 mv do i enjoy for its direction music n visual wise, purge march takes the cake so quickly. the music itself is so bomb (which like, i cant even find a logical explanation as to why… its just so good to listen to) n the mv itself does such a great job at creating the right atmosphere, both in its flashy theatrics and the subtle uncanniness under it. mayb i have a slight bias bc tpm was the whole reason i got into milgram in the first place, but i stand by it idccc

aesthetic wise, def all knowing and all agony. the horror elements r genuinely disturbing, but not so overbearing that it overwrites the pop style that milgram has going on. i luove the use of amber for blood, plus the filters that remind me of found footage u usually see show up in asian horror movies. i think i was actually terrified the first time i watched the mv

symbolic wise, its cat always and forever god bless. it takes advantage of its aesthetics to hint at subtle secrets so well that it makes me giddy as hell. the use of colors as a part of the set, the transitions frm scene to scene having its own part in making the story, n honestly making the bg more blank than usual readjusts the focus of the mv on what matters p well. i cant mention every detail rn or else id be here all day
