I really don’t quite get why people are so mad and sad about LGiEF ending.

By cdrama standards it a complete HEA.

Could it have been better? Yes. Would I’ve wanted another minute or so added with at least a shot of Fu Zhou/Ziqi’s face if not of them together? Yes. Was I still satisfied with ending regardless? Also yes.

I mean, they’re both alive and well. They both remember everything. They’ve met. What else is there to add?

The plot points were all warped up. Ziqi’s story was surprising but it was worked rather well into the drama and it was nice to see something new in a transmigration story.

So, was the ending super outstanding and memorable? No. Was it perfectly fine tho? YES.

Miaomiao correctly diagnoses that, apart from being generally suspicious of her, Mu Sheng is now also jealous that Mu Yao wants to spend time with SOME RANDOM GIRL they JUST MET instead of HIM, her BROTHER, whom she’s known her ENTIRE LIFE. Clearly Miaomiao must have bewitched her!!! Clearly.

If you’re not a little bit in love with Miaomiao are you even paying attention?

Mu Sheng pleas with Mu Yao: okay fine, she hasn’t bewitched you, but can you at least defend me from your new friend when she’s actively using you to make fun of me!!! 🥺🥺🥺 and Mu Yao says no 💜 this is all really funny and we don’t have cable tv 💜

In fairness, it’s pretty clear that Mu Yao views all this teasing back and forth to be amusing kiddie-fighting, as seen when she does nothing to stop Mu Sheng chasing Miaomiao around once he’s given an excuse.

Mu Yao explains that demons are everywhere, they coexist with us and Mu Sheng pulls THIS face which I’m sure means nothing. Don’t even worry about it! We also later get a flashback to the moment when the big bad attacked the Mu household but we don’t actually see Ms. Big Bad herself, which I’m sure could also mean nothing.

After a long day of letting her new friend make fun of poor Mu Sheng, Mu Yao kisses the boo-boo okay and says awwww poor baby has attachment issues?? don’t worry, a-jie doesn’t love you any less just because there’s a new baby in the house.

Meanwhile, Miaomiao is being forced into dastardly behavior by the System and she is not happy about it!!! Systems are stressful!!! Stop putting Miaomiao into Mu Sheng’s line of fire please, System!!!!

Enjoy cool sequence of Mu Sheng looking cool after an entire episode of him mostly just looking like a dog who’s not been given enough pets. This is to set up the following sequence, where Mu Sheng does a bunch of crazy shit (it turns out) to distract from the fact that he’s not as innocent as he claims to be.

^ I might be wrong here, but I do consider this to be BOLD AS FUCK of Fuyi to say. Mu Sheng has called him an outsider before; it’s not clear how long they’ve actually been acquainted but Fuyi SHOULD know that calling himself Mu Sheng’s xiongzhang (I think that’s the specific word he uses) will only piss Mu Sheng off more. The only word that would’ve been worse to use is brother-in-law 🥶
