one of my favorite things about the deathly hallows book is the revelation that snape and petunia knew each other. like if you asked someone in 1997, “hey which two characters from harry potter have longstanding childhood beef with each other”. I’m not sure anyone would’ve answered “harry’s bitchy muggle aunt and the mean potions teacher”. but it also makes total sense. like they are the two biggest haters.

Harry Potter can cook. tbh. He deserves it. Also I headcanon that voldemort has made it so he does not need to sleep or eat much in order to thrive, physically and mentally, but he still eats anything Harry cooks and offers to him. A love language, of sorts.

I will never be over the fact that Lily Potter was the one who defeated Voldemort in 1981 and she was never given proper credit for it in canon. We barely even know anything about her and she was the one who defeated the snake faced bitch the first time around. It drives me insane. Lily deserved so much better than what the books ever gave her.

you got me thinking about them and i don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing...

but, there are two things that immediately come to mind when i think of bartybella:

1) this image of barty, sitting on the floor, talking with some death eater at meeting, and suddenly bella arrives, she grabs him by the hair and drags him away (don't ask me why).

2) i just know that bella wants to kill barty. but not in an enemies-to-lovers way, just in an enemies way.

cause imagine: she is voldemort's greatest supporter since his early days, she's the death eater he trusts the most, the only one capable of satisfying him... and then barty arrives. my girl's first instinct is to protect her territory.

barty annoys her, she doesn't understand him and above all she doesn't understand what the dark lord sees in him. he's smart, alright. also kinda powerful. she knows who his dad is (cause, obviously, the dark lord told her)... but doesn't cissy's husband work at ministry? barty is not necessary.

so what does that kid have that she doesn't?

since the dark lord doesn't tell her, she decides to find out directly from barty. he seems very happy to become friends with her, he says that bella is an example for him. it doesn't take her long to realize that he's lying, that dickhead: he's jealous too.

they start insulting each other at every opportunity.

"oh, you still haven't managed to free yourself from the control of the imperius curse? i learned to do that when i was 12."

"why are you so nervous today? is voldemort hiding something from you again? he doesn't do that with me, you know..."

she calls him "child" and he calls her "grandma". but then again, it doesn't take bella too long to realize that if that "child" becomes a "baby", barty is willing to do anything she asks him to do. and to tell her anything she wants to know.

that kid's need for love is truly disgusting.

they sleep together only once, and barty tells her so much confidential information that for a week he's terrified that voldemort will find out and kill him. bella just hopes he does.

in the end, however, she begins to appreciate the devotion that barty feels towards the dark lord (even though she hated being sent to azkaban with him).

in case you couldn't tell, i love making death eater barty a little bitch. i'm giggling and kicking my feet while i write all the shitty things he does.
