For those of you who have never read anything from the Lee/Kirby era of X-Men this is what every issue is like

Do you guys think that Sonic has scars?

Not like Tails’, definitely not like those. Tails’ scars are from ripping fur, burning flesh, badly healed broken bones, deep cuts, and stuff he doesn’t even remember, from before he even met Sonic and started fighting Eggman. So many scars. He’s covered in them, his fur hides them, so he’s lucky that his tails are the fluffiest part of him, that’s where he has the most scars, hes not exactly ashamed of his scars, they show what he’s survived, they show that he came through all that. But still, most of them are a painful reminder that he had to survive, not live, survive.

Now Sonic… Sonic has very few scars, almost none of them from fights or Eggman encounters, his dumb bots couldn’t ever dream of hurting him, he was way too fast for that, way too strong. So they’re not from those fights, no, they’re from something completely different.

All the baby fox fangs marks in his hands, all the deep scratches from tiny little claws in his chest and the back of his arms, all the little cuts close to his face, all of them.

Sonic is proud of those scars.

He’s proud of those scars, because each and every of those scars are a reminder that he baby fox that caused them survived, because every time Sonic bled because of that kid, it was worth it.

Because he tried to bathe him when he was more blood and mud than fur. Because he forced him to take medicine when he was sick. Because he hugged him every time he had a nightmare and wouldn’t wake up even if it meant he would instinctively try to hurt him in the process. Because he held him and didn’t let go even when he felt tiny claws digging and ripping in his skin.

Those scars meant his little brother still wanted to survive. Those scars meant Sonic did everything to make sure he would live.

He’s proud of those scars.

Maximum heartbreak would be a BEAST AU but Chuuya works for the ADA instead, and Dazai still retains all the knowledge he has of the original world. The BEAST timeline diverges well before Dazai and Oda were supposed to meet—this time, not even Dazai and Chuuya meet.

And predictably and understandably, ADA Chuuya is hostile to him.

thinking about g/t in terms of distance. metaphorical distance, shooting both further and farther away from someone as you grow. the disconnect from a human and the pixie village that lives next door. a giant watching humans run past their feet. a house and the mice-like people its inhabitants will never see. there's a disconnect between power, viewpoints, even sound, as you have to shout up someone or whisper down just to have a conversation. the knowledge of i could do anything to you and the instinct to flinch at rumbling footsteps. what i'm trying to say is that it's so, so, so easy to look the other way from tiny forms struggling at your feet, to destroy a house with a single movement, to keep walking as if nothing's happened. perhaps a someone grown in an emergency could look at their friend with something more than indifference. it's just easy to do nothing, even as others are in danger. who are the dolls around them to judge? do you interfere watching a tiny person lose to a prey animal, or do you let nature take its course?

but, in a way, it's about caring. respect. it's not hauling someone up by the shoulders and buckling under their weight; for as easy as it is to walk away, it costs absolutely nothing to care. it's as simple as breathing to hold a massive hand out, stopping a group of adventurers from walking off a cliff. to lift a few, wooden scraps off a borrower trapped underneath. to listen to a tiny voice laughing in one's ear. you could tower above buildings but still bridge the gap. it's not that you don't matter. it's just that i can care for you with a single hand. only in the literal sense am i above you. come out from hiding. leave your worries behind, little one. it makes no difference to me whether i stay or look away.

it's our distance, perhaps, that lets me protect you.

ok THIS is the correct answer to me.... virgin lancey who spends all day in the library reading the filthiest, nastiest erotica... but gaston just doesn't do it for him.. and then one day he hears about the beast and the curse, and 'happens' to 'accidentally' stumble into nando's castle....

nando keeps him trapped there, but is low key reluctant about ruining lance's innocence or whatever cause he's so sweet and pretty. but lance just wants to get fucked crazy nasty style (although he might be in a little over his head 😈)
