God, I first saw this movie almost three years ago, and I still think about it so much. I can’t help but cackle every time I see it!

LEGO DC Batman: Family Matters (2019)

The popping sound, the hair, Damian’s confusion, the silent record scratch you can just feel, Jason’s voice crack as he goes (°0°), the fact that the plot twist for once is that Jason never actually died! I just- it’s the best scene of the movie

(the second best [series of] scene[s] is Jason stealing Bruce’s tires [again] and Batman having to hitchhike with a random civilian)

But seriously, watch this movie if you like Batfamily content and shenanigans. It may not be the most canon compliant (UtRH is a little too dark for a direct-to-dvd lego movie for kids), but I still love these silly little lego vigilantes. And this is one of the closest iterations we’ll ever get to all of them being on the screen (Alfred, Bruce, Kate, Barbra, Dick, Jason, and Damian).

In my heart, Ford once went to an ice dimension and got Really Good at ice skating, and now he's absolutely insufferable about it.

#I think Ford has a bunch of random skills & everytime one comes up he has the most ridiculous yet completely true story to go along with it #in this case it involves picking a lock with his skates while scaled half way up a glacier. (he needed something for the gun dw about it)#I also think Stan would also be good re the 'Stan's Roller Skating in short shorts' lines from Dreamscapers #The difference being that Stan isn't willing to risk breaking his back for it. Unlike Ford who is already mid backflip #I know what ice skates actually look like btw. I know the blade is inaccurate. I promise. deeply fascinated by these kids living in a peaceful suburbia on a seemingly equally peaceful planet, which is surrounded by something called the barrier, which makes the night sky look green and is thick enough that it obscures the stars, and so when they get up to space and see how many stars there are, they have no idea space actually looked like that. and then they travel through hyperspace for the first time and it understandably freaks them the fuck out. there is definitely something weird about this planet they live on, and i am all for the real horror story being this suburban bubble they live in that wants to shield its citizens from the wider galaxy.

akechi has an in-universe fandom

said fandom pays close attention to his whereabouts, who he hangs out with, etc.

akechi monitors what's being said about him online

and since he by his own admission doesn't really have any other close friends, this means that as his confidant progresses, his fanbase is undoubtedly like "who is this mysterious glasses guy who keeps hanging out with akechi? why are they hitting up popular date spots?”
