Was scrolling through tumblr with my sister and when I stopped on this post, the first thing she said was “is that an American Akita?”

So last weekend I was at Emerald city ComiCon (It's one of my favorite times to shop for art, books and handmade products form artists!) And as I was leaving after a long day of walking, My sis grabs me to turn me with incoherent hype and shouts "LinkedUniverse!" And lo and behold, an amazing Legend cosplay!!! This is @cloudyskies48 who's done a fabulous job down to the details of the bracelet and proportions of the tunic, I mean look at this! 🤩Even figured out how to interpret and design the gold trim that is ever inconsistent in my art 😆 This was such a thrill to see in person!

Percival Tartigrade is their leader right? Well his first name is a knight of the round table, and his last name is practically a misspelled version of tardigrade (the water bear) which is a microscopic extremophile. So I went with the same naming scheme for the rest of them

If I had a nickel for every semi-silent horror game protagonist that ends up fundamentally changed by the thing they were fighting against and/or running from and ends up ambiguously alive/dead who ended up being my favorite character of the entire franchise, I’d have three nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened thrice

Disney does suck at times (love-hate relationship over here), but DeSantis would really be killing so much industry in Florida. There are so many people employed by the parks (both in the parks themselves or systems that run the parks behind the scenes) or have business that are only able to profit BECAUSE of Disney being nearby. Legoland? Beaches? Airports? Car rentals? The restaurants in the area? The fucking shops within Disney Springs (which is just an upscale mall where businesses rent to be there)? The food trucks trying to get by?

Many visit these attractions (many of which employs hundreds) because they traveled all the way to Florida, so they might as well go do other things.

And this is especially important with the current economy. A lot of our government is funded by our sales tax (which is 7%). Why is our sales tax so high? A mixture of lack of income tax and the security that tourism is one of our greatest sources of income.

Even if you live hours away, this shit still impacts you. Many college students work a certain number of hours at Disney because of the scholarships Disney provides. It’s hard to go anywhere and not meet at least one person whose mom or dad or grandparent or sibling or whoever worked or works for Disney in some way and through that, the income helped support the family.

Is it actually the most magical place on Earth? Not really. But, it is the reason many Floridians are able to put food on the table.

So this isn’t a fight of Florida vs Disney, it’s a fight of Disney (and Florida) vs DeSantis (and his supporters)

(Sorry if these is messy or confusing. Just wanted to vent my feelings about this because of the amount of wonderful people in my life that wouldn’t even be able to eat dinner every night without the existence of those stupid mouse ears)

Gonna be honest, this was such a fucking fever dream when I first saw it at 1am with my sister. Just, caught us waaaay off guard. And this is the ONLY musical number in the ANY of the LEGO DC movies I have seen! (And I have seen a majority of them!) Like, what the fuck?!

Easily the worst DC lego movie I’ve seen, but it’s pretty good to watch ironically. And some less popular characters get a bit more of the spotlight, which is always nice.

But don’t trust the plot summary on HBO Max! A lot of the characters mentioned don’t show up until the last fifteen minutes. Which sucked because Krypto and Ace were the reason we were so curious about this movie!

Also: to ruin your day even more…..

…Barry Allen is voiced by the same person who voiced Johnny Test :)

(Which, honestly, isn’t the most damaging voice actor for DC characters. It’s not like the past roles the VA for Jason Todd in Batman: A Death in the Family movie had done. That gave me psychic damage)
