Happy blorbo blursday! I've been thinking about how Neb and Oran's "love language" is coming up with mildly irritating nicknames for people (such as calling Isabel "The Great-Aunt" even though they have at least four other great-aunts). Do any of your characters have strange or goofy ways of showing affection? Or, conversely, do you have any characters that also like to give people (annoying) nicknames?

I'm going to go with non-romantic relationships, because uh... romantic ones are hard to come by😅

Erya brings Anthea scraps of information for which anyone else would pay a fortune, much like a cat bringing dead mice.

Gullin will mock and tease ceaselessly. Oh, Ianim likes fancy outfits? That's Gullin's cue to wear the most worn, badly fitted jacket he owns. Lissan is a tiny bit vain and self-conscious about being the youngest? Let's point out every time he pouts, which is cute, but also makes him look young.

Marta's way of showing affection is brutal bluntness.

Less goofy, but: both Lissan and Varré will at some point start treating you like a family member. There's no escape.

Do you have any characters that also like to give people (annoying) nicknames?

I was trying to come up with pet names and such, but alas, I failed. The two nicknames appearing on page so far is Gullin calling Ianim 'the Princeling', much to Ianim's chagrin, and Varré referring to Erya as 'a feisty little ferret' - though that's only in their POV narration; they have enough common sense not to say it out loud.

🎶4 albums that I've been listening to lately🎶

I, too, am more of a playlists kind of person, so I thought I would have trouble finding four albums I've been recently listening to - turns out it's actually a bit hard to restrict it to four??

"The Boys" by Girls' Generation

I've been talking about Kpop recently, which got me back in my SNSD feels. This one has a super catchy tracklist that never fails to put me in a great mood (Fave: "OSCAR")

"Celestial Blues" by King Woman

I love that album, it's dark, heavy, and Kristina Esfandiari's voice is just. So good. It's about paradise lost and rebirth and religious trauma, and I rarely can listen to only one song. (Fave: "Golgotha")

"The Horror and the Wild" by The Amazing Devil

A beautiful folk album, with haunting voices and melodies, and beautiful lyrics about love, loss, and relationships. I never tire of that one and I regularly sit through the whole thing with pleasure. (Faves: "Fair" and "That Unwanted Animal")

"Kiss of Death" by IC3PEAK

I came across this one completely randomly via spotify (it was the song "Vampir" I think), and I rarely do that but I did check the whole album. I don't really know how to describe it, it's metal and electronic and punk, there are growls and angelic vocals, it's a little messy but I always have a great time with this album. (Fave: "Червь / Worm. (Feat. Kim Dracula)")

Smosh cast folks are also very funny- a good #proportion of them at this point are also prifessional comedians. There are other Try Not To Laugh videos. a LOT of them. they can be #hit or miss but a lot of them are quite good (blind pairs or the musical episodes are all pretty good)#Smosh has multiple channels- this one is called Smosh Pit ajd also has other stuff they do. Challenge Pit is also quite funny. there is also #smosh games channel. smosh cast channel. and the main smosh channel #tbh i recommend looking up compilations of cast members to figure out what content you might find compelling but they make a pretty broad #spread of stuff at this point so odds are decent youll find something funny. esp if you already watch dropout :)#ok infodump over. glad ppl are having fun with this lol

I finally took the time to photograph my vintage dip pen nib collection, and I need to share with you all how wonderful and diverse their designs are.

These two are my favorite. Just look at them! One of them is named Gorille and the other Mephisto, but to me they're little pumpkins.

And of course you gotta love the Pinocchio nib. You get to write with the nose of a tiny guy! Just not something you get to do anymore.

#I collect them because they come in fun shapes but they're also incredibly nice to use #all the ones I own write impressively smoothly #even the most flexible and fine pointed nibs #I have a ton of modern nibs as well (like a lot) and smoothness plus flexibility is not a common trait combo #good object #dip pens
