It's probably super overwhelming for you right now the amount of notifications you are having about OAO but after reading that rude anon I need to say something.
To be honest, I never never never lost hope with it. I don't know, call it wishful thinking. I don't care. Even if you never finish it, it will still be one of my absolute favourite fics of all time, but the update has made me so so happy that I just needed to say it.
You don't owe us anything, but thank you for giving us. For sharing those codependent messes with us, it's an absolute pleasure to read it (pun intended? maybe.) Can't wait to read the rest, even if it takes a lifetime before you are able to write it. Even if you never do it.
Fuck rude anons, honestly. <3
MY DARLINN <333 this is so so sweet. i gen feel so humbled by the fact that people are still this invested in oao;;; i also just want to do those two insane idiots justice and i want to make sure each chapter is the best it can be, and it's been a weird and hard past year but i really do appreciate each and every one of you who has been understanding and kind. i notice it! and you keep me wanting to post my writing. in many ways everything i write is for people like you <333 so thank YOU e hoa <333

to everyone who is complaining about the rapid ending of jjk and the decisions being made on how it's finishing i would like to say:
A. in order for these decisions to be different and also not feel cheesy as shit, there would have had to have been vastly different story decisions made wayyyy earlier in the manga. i'm talking culling games or before. a lot of the things that people want to see happen have no backing in the prior story. we all just spent an entire arc (rightfully imo) criticizing like... "oh of course sukuna has the perfect, previously unmentioned, incredibly niche skill to counteract this specific ct," but now you want more impossible things to happen that have not been foreshadowed or set up in-universe and you super pinky promise that this one won't make you upset? get real
B. one of the reasons the manga is being wrapped up so quickly is bc the fanbase is full of disrespectful vengeful assholes who sent gege death threats bc of his decisions to kill "their husbands." i wouldn't want to keep putting effort and energy into a story if that was the fan response either. gege is better than me bc my ass would have just stopped writing
C. one of the other reasons the manga is being wrapped up so quickly is bc of gege's health issues
D. all of the decisions make perfect sense for a plot-driven story. the plot that was laid out is coming to an end. and this has been, as gege has stated, a plot-focused story. he hasn't focused on character, so things that are happening now are not going to focus on character
now do i think that the story would have been better if it was character-driven yes. do i think it's good and smart and healthy for fans to criticize their favorite media yes. have fans been criticizing and complaining about their favorite media since the dawn of time obviously. but i also firmly believe that every criticism should come from a place of understanding and realization and not just "this is what i thought would/should happen and now im fucking pissed bc it didn't"

"the internet is forever"
maybe for you. I, however, create new accounts on fandom platforms every few years so I never have to confront anything remotely embarrassing from my past. and I get away with it

still it was sooooooo funny and uncomfortable at the psych appointment because she saw ? somewhere in papers/files that my mom and dad divorced in.... 2015 i think and shes all like "so.... usually divorce causes problems in children... how was that for you was it hard on you...?" acting all nervous/gentle like lmaooooo thats not even the worst part i dont think i cared about the divorce In Comparison to Everything Else. hed been abusive to my mom and generally neglectful not great to us (me and sibling) and theyd been separated for 6 years before the divorce because he kept going to jail for drug related things which he would often steal money from us for it and generally made my moms life hell by like manipulating and emotionally abusing her and hed have violent tantrums where he broke things (there are still holes in the walls and other damage in the house from him) and also sorta ruined our lives a bit and then in 2019 he was accused of some crime and he ran away to escape getting arrested or whatever and i think legally he is classified as a missing person and we dont even know if hes alive or not.
so like the divorce was whatever to me i guess.

Every day I wake up and want to cry because there is something so comforting yet so unbelievably terrifying about a prequel series that includes characters we have seen in the future because we know that those characters will certainly survive, or at least survive the events we are witnessing in this context, but everybody else has their fate completely up in the air. Will they live? Will they die? Is their absence in the future timeline and inherent confirmation of their death, or will they be fine and is there a perfectly reasonable explanation for why they do not appear with the characters who we know will survive? And that constant hope, that persisting anxiety about their fate holds for their entire time onscreen because we know, we know that their future is not set in stone. So we're fighting against our better nature as the audience to convince ourselves that somehow the characters will survive even when it feels like we should already be grieving their loss. Anyways I'm doing fine mentally and have consumed a perfectly healthy amount of media why are you asking
