currently thinking and obsessing about the fact that my dad very likely went to an Australian version of Chuck E. Cheese called Charlie Cheese back in the early-to-mid 80s when he was a kid and how fucking COOL that is!!!

the fact that were was a whole balcony stage show with a Warblettes animatronic, a Madame Oink AND a Dolli Dimples in my country is absolutely amazing to me and i'm having so many thoughts about it. where are they now? do they still exist? did they have other rotating guest characters or was it just Madame Oink? were there any differences to the showtapes (such as name changes or localisations)? there's also this incredibly rare and adorable Charlie plush and i love him SO MUCH i'm rotating him around in my head right now

i'm kinda surprised that CEC had locations here at all back in the 80s because animatronics aren't really a big thing in Australia, at least not as much as they are in America. we never really had that big animatronic pizza craze over here and animatronic shows are a pretty rare sight here apart from the occasional big amusement park chain (but even then, they're not very common at all). but yeah i think it's fucking awesome that my dad went here as a kid as he recalls quite a lot of details about the show and the animatronics up on stage!! he specifically remembers the Grundy's location, that there was "a giant rat" and the cheese wall maze underneath the animatronics and it's SO COOL to me as someone who has a love for these old retro pizza animatronics!!! no joke one of my biggest dreams is to just see either an 80s cec animatronic or a rockafire animatronic irl one day and the fact that my dad got to see a cec show is amazing!! :D

For the record, the ripple thingies are from Tsevhu, aka the funni koi fish language :D I've been studying the conlang lately

Anyway, the red Tsevhu is a translation of "you want to be a hero, Tommy? Then DIE like one!", while the pale red are the voices chanting "one of us" and the closest the Tsevhu Discord could approximate for "blood for the blood god" in a phrase (the actual thing translates something to like "start giving completely and involuntarily", which in Tsevhu is kinda like chanting for sacrifice, which is fun and very much chat :3)

("blood for the blood god" would've translated to a straight-up sentence that I'd have to frame in koiwrit, which I felt would be too cluttered, as much as clutteredness is very in-character for chat)

i think we should destigmatize nudity. honestly being raised in a household/place where people naked is Just A Normal Thing was really enriching and healthy. There were no questions, no weird vibes, it was just An Average Occurrence. Sometimes towels slip, sometimes you really need something in the bathroom, sometimes you just want company while you shower. Sometimes its accidental, but since its normal its just funny as hell! One gets to learn what bodies naturally look like and not be weird about it. You learn that you shouldn't be weird about other people's bodies and they shouldn't be weird about yours. That finnish guy was right. Grandma saggy tits dude. It's formative. But also Grandpa accidentally forgetting to close the bathroom door. Mom changing out in the open. Cousin doesnt shut up in the shower while you try to piss. Hanging out of the bathroom with just a towel on. Brother running naked from the shower because there's a bug. And like. Its. Just. Normal. All Bodies are casual and Normal and there is nothing really all that special about nudity, literally all there is to it is TRUST. Plus bodies age and change but in the end all that matters is "this is my loved one". that's it. that's literally it.
