Hhhhmmmmmmg, these feel like pointed shorts, I’ve told my mom about my depression and she said “I have noticed that whenever your in a slump, it’s always with a smile on your face, you never realy let people know how badly your hurting until it bubbles up, then you sweep it off”

This realy helps me self-diagnose myself, I’m aware that I have depression, I’ve had it for about 2-3 years at this point, I started developing these symptoms around the time when the first Covid shut-down happened that was supposed to last 2 weeks, then it progressively got worse and worse until it developed into this monster that hung on my shoulders like a giant block and weighed me down like a blanket, it still does I just don’t think about it as much.

I also have extremely severe anxiety, it reguraly invades my life and bombards me like a hurricane, spinning my thoughts and turning myself against me, it regularly makes me question if my friends and family are just hurting me, it makes me sit out on activities I know I would enjoy in fear of.. something, I don’t know what yet

Sorry that this is a bit of a downer post, I usually do the sillies but I feel like this was Important for me to share to help you guys see more of myself, I trust you guys to not use this information against me :)

But unfortunately it has yet to be translated into a real language #You can see it in the background of the menu screens in HW #So I decided he could use Legend/Wild's as a stand-in Hylian (botw & albw) as it seems to be rather common (same goes for the hero of Hyrul #I figured Warriors is slightly multilingual what with his era contacting all other eras #And I gave him handwriting that looks a little more like his original language with heavy serif strokes. (his is 4th signature down)

I never got into Harry Potter, but I have a lot more respect for someone who can say “these books were an important part of my life, but I recognize the pain and harm that comes from supporting them, so I’m making an effort to stop engaging with them” versus someone who’s like “lol the books were always bad, I don’t have to worry about boycotting them because I have Good Taste.”

Like, if you think you never have to think critically about the things you like because you only engage with “Good Art,” then that’s awfully convenient

#this not just limited to hp btw #it’s just the most common example #and it’s one I know where I don’t have personal bias bc I never got into it myself #like the fact that I was more into Rick Riordan than hp does not make me morally superior #I didn’t ’always know’ jkr was shitty — I just liked mythology over wizards #Rick could have turned out just like jkr and then where would that leave me?#id like to think I’d be able to cut his works out of my life
