I think it could very well be plausible that if Chuuya died, (please Chuuya please die), Dazai would cry.

Every time I mention the possibility of Dazai crying if Chuuya died, everyone gets mad at me lol. So please let me explain myself. -This is simply my interpretation of Dazai's character, but I'm open to criticism and discussion cuz I think its fun and I like gaining new understandings of characters like that.- Also to preface this, this is my ideal situation of how Chuuya would perma die

I want Chuuya to think Dazai's dead, but the readers know he isnt, so Chuuya goes absolutely apeshit with corruption and Dazai has to watch, unable to get there in time until Chuuya's body dies. By the time Dazai gets there, he's able to turn him back in time for Chuuya to call him an idiot, and then dies in Dazai's arms For the angst, y'know? ANYWAYS

Reason 1: Dazai is a lot more emotionally there than he was when Oda died I know Dazai didn't cry when Oda died. I'm not suggesting Chuuya means more to him than Oda (I think he's important to Dazai for different reasons, not more or less important), but when Dazai was in the mafia he wasn't in a place where he was able to feel emotions. He was completely shut down and emotionless. He's been out of the mafia for 4 years, and though old habits die hard, I think you can reasonably conclude he's allowed himself to feel more. Especially with Atsushi, you can see how he's changed over the seasons. Looking back at the Dark Era is especially chilling because of this. He's found comfort and safety in good people, learned to rely on them, and overall grown "happier"

Reason 2: Dazai is scared right now. I'm fairly certain I've seen more honest expressions on his face in the recent chapters than we have in the whole series /ex Dazai is either not even bothering to hide his emotions, or he's so stressed that he cannot keep the mask up right now. Either way, he's likely scared of losing Atsushi, or Kunikida, or another person he cares about again. Intense negative emotions followed by a loss he likely isn't even considering as possibility very well could make him snap.

Reason 3: Chuuya is the last person still there who was there during the most messed up times of his life. Its not just the death of Chuuya, it would be the compounding effects of everything. Oda is dead. Ango betrayed him. He was Chuuya's safety, the one person who could bring him down and back to reality in a very literal sense, and Chuuya was the same to him, but more in regards to life and his emotions (imo). And if he died from corruption while Dazai watched, he would have failed Chuuya. Reason 4: It would be an interesting way to show his development, if it was written to parallel Oda's death I think if he was able to shed even one tear for Chuuya, it would show how much he'd evolved. More than anything, more than I want him to cry in mourning for Chuuya, I'd like to see him cry in front of Kunikida and Atsushi. Also yes I think Kunikida is coming back, Asagiri cannot commit to a death for the life of him

If the fan theories of Dazai being forced back into the mafia are true, Chuuya's death would just add a layer of cruelty to that. He'd have to go back to where he was before, without any of the people there who helped him through it, after finally finding some semblance of peace and normalcy IN CONCLUSION Am I a bit Soukoku brained? Yeah sure. But thats only a part of why I would like this. Dazai crying would be beautifully devastating, depending on how it was written. I don't necessarily think it would happen in canon, but I don't think its impossible. Also I'm sure theres a lot I misunderstood about Dazai, I've only been analyzing him for a few months and I am admittedly much more obsessed with Chuuya lol, please share your takes unless its just that Dazai doesn't actually care about Chuuya in canon cuz thats a load of bull <3

Miriko shift from "this dude" to "this thing" brings so many terrible implications. At best, she thinks Tomura is becoming a Nomu.

Speaking about Nomu, having their intelligence evolve was mistake since making them more human makes the heroes seem more murderous.

Like, the USJ Nomu had no intelligence or desires outside following orders, yet he was allowed live. However, Hood actively showed intelligence and desires, yet he was killed.

There also the fact Endeavor did the All Might pose after performing worse on either accountings of saving or winning.

I disagree having the nomu's overall intelligence evolve isnt a mistake. Instead it actually plays with the heroes heads and mortality. Will they still be able to kill something that doesn't look human but very much acts human? Is there really a difference between nomu's and humans? Heck you can even bring in the arguement of mutant discrimination and nomu's!!

I for one believe that the nomu's were severely underused in many ways. What does the public think of Nomu's? How were the people who had their family members turned into nomu feel? (This is explored a bit in fics but not really in canon) @thr0wnawayy has a post on the wasted potential of nomu's.

How about how Nomu's are made? How they're used? Or is them evolving to have more intelligence makes them more human? In a society where being human doesn't have a specific look is intelligence the thing that makes people human? Or is it another criteria?

With miriko it's interesting to see her physical switch go from "this dude" to "this thing" because it could very much show that maybe this is how hero society teaches and produces heroes. Heroes are supposed to do easy take downs relying on violence instead of ethically and properly working out a situation. The heroes whole win to save issue and their instinct to fight first talk later is exactly why the first war arc was so catastrophic and why there are so many deaths. Also miriko's attitudes show one way heroes may think of their opponents as non human effectively dehumanising them so they don't feel bad for inflicting harm on them and subconsciously convincing themselves that this is all for the greater good. "I mean killing a puppet who can't think for themselves or express pain is easier than killing a human someone who is the same as you right?" That's probably the thought process of many heroes and we see it with both miriko and hawks explicitly.

However, the whole dehumanisation of villains and enemies can also apply to other characters like Enji and maybe even ochako in the first war arc when it comes to her conversation with toga.

Enji cannonically has tried to kill koichi (a vigilante) in the manga and has expressed quite the aggressive behaviour towards villains and even objects so he really isn't a good person or hero either.

Nomu's and their increasing intelligence for example kurogiri says a lot and brings a lot of moral dilemmas which would be interesting to see how the series could of dealt with them and how it may even reveal some innate corruptness within hero society.

The hitting of the all might pose is something that three characters have all done aka enji, Izuku and shigaraki have all hit the all might pose yet in all of those scenarios it's had different meanings. Even with that the one meaning that they all share with that pose is one of victory (they all struck the pose after their supposed victories) but it all has a different meaning for example with enji his pose was supposed to show that he can live up to the title and that he can try and keep peace within society. The pose also showed the classic upholding of the status quo and hero societies original corrupted ideologies and ideals that enji will go ahead and uphold.

Hello, this is your Oldie Chinese Diaspora Anon™️ I came across this Anon (https://the-bjd-community-confess.tumblr.com/post/757452685040631808/im-surprised-acbjd-isnt-an-official-dealer-for ) and their question-to-the-aether, and I think I know the answer. It’ll most likely answer a few other questions that have been floating around here as well. At least I think so, anyhow… I’ll try!

For starters, let me introduce you to something called the Universal Postal Union (Union postale universelle, UPU. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Postal_Union). For something so archaic, it is actually the largest reason why a lot of things that we complain about are the way they are. Anything shipped and mailed internationally follows the rate set up by the UPU. According to these international rates, it’s much cheaper to send anything by mail from Asia to Europe or North America. And it’s more expensive to send from South Korea than it is from China. This is why it makes sense that dealers based in China are able to offer free shipping – shipping is cheap enough originating from China that the dealers can absorb that cost. This is also why dealers based in China rarely deal for any company that are not Chinese in origin. It means the dealers will have to eat twice the amount of shipping (from country of origin to China and from China to final destination). It’s usually too cost prohibitive to do something like that, unfortunately.

This also reminds me of the question posted by an exasperated Anon a while back (https://the-bjd-community-confess.tumblr.com/post/748048371225346048/its-hysterical-that-divas-doesnt-understand-how ). Now, here’s a bit of a disclaimer: this specific dealer had shafted yours truly as well. After waiting for 2 years for a body with jointed hands, I was informed earlier this year that it was lost in transit. It’s a most dissatisfying result to a very long wait, and even if I was refunded the whole purchasing price, it was still left me with some distaste. I just wanted to make sure that nobody thinks the OCDA™️ is taking sides or deliberately speaking ill of either side of the conversation. Please understand, that is never the intention.

America-based dealers, like the ones mentioned in these conversations, are dealing with the unenviable position of paying two different shipping fees. They are also at a great disadvantage when it came to the UPU rates – shipping from the US is among one of the most expensive around the world, not to mention tariffs and import taxes. This is why Canadian collectors are usually disadvantaged when buying from US collectors. Even in the case where the overall distance between seller and buyer is shorter, as long as a package crosses national lines, the tariffs become significant.

Commercial shipping is, unfortunately, a little more complicated than someone shipping directly to the end-user after all. Trying to save on shipping becomes something that dealers try to do. One way of doing it is to take in the price difference and defray it on to the buyers, which is another reason why certain dealers have astronomical shipping/handling charges. Using land/water shipping is also a little cheaper than flying. But here is where the other conundrum lies – When a container tilts or falls into the water it’s considered lost. Imagine if a container that is filled with mostly clothes and it keels over, the insurance payout is relatively low due to the nature of -most- of its cargo. In that case, both the shipper and the receiver (the Dealer, in this case) incurs huge losses – a loss that cannot be defrayed on the final customer because they never received what they paid for.

As the child of parents who were importers and wholesalers, these intricacies of international shipping were something of a constant nightmare for us. You can imagine my surprise when I realised that the Chinese dealer ships to me for free… I was used the family business ordering enough stock to fill half a 50’ container about 6-12 months prior to it arriving. It’s the part of doing business that folks don’t really spend too much time thinking of, but it can really be at somewhere between 1/10 to 1/4 of the final MSRP. (If everything went well, of course. Because that’s not always possible for many, many reasons.) All of this need money, which means for a micro-company, the shipping is even more expensive. This is why while the labour cost in China is indeed quite low, the reason for the high price is -not- because of that.

Of course, the OCDA™️ would like to stress that while shipping is very difficult, it doesn’t fully absolve the dealer mentioned by the Exasperated Anon. There are a lot more things that could be done in terms of communication and streamlining the process. There’s just nothing for it. I’d like to extend my sympathy to anyone who feels that they are wronged by this dealer; heaven knows, I am one of you, too.

god i love love LOVE just the parallels with them..... like ive always been a "miranda is deeply traumatized and Not Fucking Okay" truther for YEARS but only after getting into aaravi's angle and her story did i realize theyre pretty much two sides to the same coin, two ways to respond to the same trauma and try to keep Going On from all of it. and for the two of them to be so marked by a profound loneliness and a lack of understanding on how to even begin filling that on top of a denial of BEING lonely or upset in the first place? mwah. mwah mwah mwah.

the character study aspect. like ive made my irritation known prior about the common fandom habit of mashing two characters together without truly considering their personalities, and i think to do that with either miranda or aaravi is a crime. they have such STRONG personalities and absolutely would have just SO MANY reactions to and feelings about the other that its like mixing volatile chemicals together just to see what happens. theyre going to bounce off of each other for sure but seeing HOW they bounce off of each other is so deeply delightful for me that you just KNOW theres not a boring moment for them. maybe moments where theres a lull in the energy, but in such a directed and specific way that even getting into the domestic with them is exciting.

hey so you know how aaravi is dedicated to managing to kill an outer god just to show everyone that it can be done, and how the slayers were originally set up to minimize eldritch influence and corruption, and how the merkingdom is now canonically dedicated to fighting and staving off the influence of the eldritch as much as possible? yeah. even just beyond this being weirdly relevant to my highly canon divergent lore i think its just Neat how this is a direct parallel between them in the mess that is roadtrip

i sincerely think aaravi needs someone to just, unironically, no catch, with her whole heart, absolutely meaning every word, praise her and compliment her. just... i need this for her. i love to see it crop up again and again in every little thing miri does for and with aaravi and how genuinely she loves aaravi because aaravi has had so LITTLE of this in her life. its always come with someone trying to push her further, trying to put her down, even the best compliments are halfhearted or still holding her up as failing an impossible standard. teasing her for being a failgirl is fun and all but i feel like it often goes far beyond teasing and instead sits at how most people actually view aaravi, and that SUCKS. having someone with whom that doesnt even come to mind would be so good for aaravi. no other references. nothing for her to be compared against. no hero trope that she is or isnt fulfilling. just a princess who is actually sincerely taking everything aaravi says to heart and listening to her and paying attention to her. so many times ive been writing them and have aaravi be DESTROYED by miranda saying she wants to protect HER like how aaravi protects miranda, or that she feels too safe around aaravi to even really consider that she might hurt her, or just genuinely trusting aaravi with her whole heart. its SO cathartic. absolutely fantastic.

this is self evident but being given an excuse to go whole ham fleshing miranda out and giving her weight as a character and history and complexity. i already talk so much about how fanon (and now canon....) gets miranda wrong and this is fully an excuse to talk about all of that. there is absolutely no way you could NOT talk about it, once you get into how they interact and bounce off of each other, and how the relationship forms, and what their expectations and wants are for that relationship. miranda is sincerely a very fun character to ship with because its never just ONLY about her. her kingdom is such a major player in all of her relationships that you HAVE to consider her standing in it, and what the merkingdom thinks of her partner, and what the merkingdom would demand of both of them, and how the other royals would react, and the culture clash, and just MWAH. PERFECTION. love love LOVE them both getting an "its complicated" for their life and family history and i just want to mash them both together into a horrible conflicting stew that they have to navigate and navigate together because it was already so hard on their own but at least now they have someone else in the same boat. love for them to make it work and see how they get out of it. together.

I'm not going to sit here and defend Biden or his administration, or his party. Nearly the whole of the US government (if not the whole of it) is complicit and accessory to the willful genocide of Palestinians, and are directly and openly supporting a fascist, genocidal colonial state. My country has been a long standing pillar of Zionist ideology if not one of the cornerstones of it. Notable Zionist figures (Former Israeli Ambassador to the US Ron Dermer said "People have to understand that the backbone of Israel's support in the United States is the Evangelical Christians") have declared that American Evangelicals are one of Zionism's greatest allies, and I'm not going to deny that either.

Secondly, I completely understand and agree with those that have become disillusioned with the Democratic party, especially since the current situation with the genocide in Gaza. I have no intention of voting for a majority of the Democrats I voted for before over the matter, such as Raphael Warnock, who my roommate reached out to about demanding a ceasefire, only to be met with Zionist rhetoric and a promise to "take it into consideration". (Warnock also worked on the committe that drafted KOSA, and also intends to vote in favor of it once it's out of committee.)

And I'm sure many of you across the globe are well aware of the absolute shit hole our political arena is. Specifically, in this case, how our party system works. There's no law preventing more than two parties, but the parties we have rigged the game in such a way that it is near impossible to have a viable party outside of them. Which brings me to my supposed point.

Telling voters to "just vote third party" isn't really the answer you might think it is. I WISH it was that simple. I LIVE for the day when it's that simple. But it isn't, and unless a GREAT MANY THINGS happen between now and the next election, this will not chang this election cycle. Political movements can take years/decades to build, and in the US your opposition WILL create every obstacle they can -although money is usually all they need to accomplish that end, and the monetary corruption in US politics is insane. We would need an actual miracle to have a viable third party before we have to elect a new president.

With that being said, I would also like to point out that the answer also isnt to vote Republican. Most of the US evangelicals espouse the Republican party, and a Republican president would be doing exactly the same thing Biden is doing now, if not worse. Because Zionism isn't a party issue, it's baked into the whole system. Which is going to make voting Anti-Zionist exceptionally difficult.

The Republicans have shown us time and again who they are. They've been saying all the quiet parts out loud for years now and we need to believe them. Voting Republican is not the answer.

As much as I would love to make a massive shift away from Zionism and genocide, I have to reconcile with the fact that this will take decades, and we have issues right now that need addressing here at home. There are lines that are tenuously being held and we need to keep holding them.

Until there is a viable third party, the best we can start with is harm reduction. That also means voting for candidates that are far less from ideal. I am going to assume Biden will be nominated for reelection, but I sure as hell am not voting for him to be. Unfortunately, if he is, I will, because Republicans have been crowing about their hate boners for the poor, disabled, LGBTQ+, children, POC, women's rights, education, social programs, etc etc, and so on. I don't want to vote for Genocide Joe, but I WILL NOT vote for a Republican and I will not piss away my vote on what are currently functionally non existent third parties.

I am going to actively vote against the party that has shown their hand at wanting me and my loved ones dead or disenfranchised, and I'm going to vote against the presidential candidate this is most likely to let them get away with it. But I am also putting the other party on notice; I will not blindly vote for them just because "they're not the other guy". I am going to work to snatch your seat if you prove to be more harmful than you're worth.

While there may be obvious solutions to these situations, there is nothing fast or easy about these solutions. Change is a long game and we need to start playing it now. And, by the same token, holding the lines we've been able to cross since last election is equally important.

oooh okay. i feel like outside of their immediate friend groups, it takes a while for the rest of the roster to notice the changes. maybe they dont think much of it at first, being a champion and getting gold and all that fame and attention can definitely change a person, no matter how well you think you know them, so them starting to act different isnt that odd to most. the most noticeable change is definitely when you get into the ring with either of them tho for a title match; its a smaller change with oc cause he already has that "give his all" attitude for all his defenses, but theres a certain new level of brutality and doing whatever they can to win the match and keep the title, by any means necessary, which has not been there before if this is an opponent they have squared off with before especially. outside the ring they are just seen less, with less people around them, usually always having that aura of suspicion around them, like everyone is out to get them now that they have the title they so desire. its subtle, but if you pay enough attention to them, its little things that are definitely noticeable; tho most people wouldnt pay it any mind if they dont have a match or otherwise direct contact with them. they dont understand what this is really about

and with oc its like.. so basically with him there are no physical symptoms lmao. which is the exact opposite of the reality. in his mind, his on top of the world even when his body is completely falling apart for pushing himself to the limit week after week after week in increasingly brutal matches. but he doesnt feel any of it prior to losing the belt. thats what that championship high does to him. is he still taped up and having hard time moving? absolutely, but he doesnt physically or mentally feel any of it. because he has to be the champion and keep that title by any means necessary, and that means erasing the pain that he should be feeling. as for hallucinations or anything else, there definitely will be something, tho most of ocs symptoms are definitely set post corruption. i dont think its going to be as direct as its with kip (he definitely hears voices and sees things but thats also cause his corruption is stronger than ocs), but he does have frequent "conversations" with the belt, for example its actually a plot point in the next chapter ough spoilers and he will probably be having plenty of nightmares throughout this whole thing, but apart from that? we'll have to wait and see 👀👀

-So he does try to get your mind of it with a date, pampering or cuddles as you talk about the things you loved such as eternity.

-Even though he probably isnt a fan of sweet food and you are, he does prefer if you dont eat food with such a high sugar content.

-So he finds ways to make fruits taste just as sweet for you.

Malleus:

-Very relatable.

-He also has that kind of status and intimidates people by simply staring.

-He also has a sweet tooth so you two would walk around Ramshackle at night and eat ice cream as you both walk.

-I mean who is really stopping you two.

-Malleus isn't much of a talk so he is a pretty good listener so he will listen to you ranting about your obsession with eternity as long as you wanted.

most of the things we've seen so far are red herrings to the Real plot.

i dont even think the other xmen characters shown ARE those versions of them. and they might not even be entirely real at all.

i mean, yea, everyone hates those trailers that straight up spoil the whole movie. but its obviously more than just deadpool simply fucking up timelines. 

isnt it weird that the trailers keep showing the same stuff over n over? and isnt it weird how the supposedly 'leaked' set photos happen to also be one of those scenes?

theres random stuff laying around, an icecream truck, theres a vehicle being pulled by a bunch of fucking motorcycles, theyre in the middle of god knows where, and the characters seem....off (pointing specifically to sabretooths teeth).

they could just be from another weird mad max style timeline, seeing as this is the timeline movie, but the whole environment makes it seem like theres something else going on. 

like the realities themselves are either getting corrupted, merging together, or maybe some are even just. fake. 

yea i know the trailer said the plot is gonna be fixing timelines. but theres already guys who do that shit for a living. why get them to do it? and why does it kinda seem theyre working with cassandra?
