How early one did you plan this whole role for Metal Sonic? It seems like something that's been foreshadowed with earlier chapters.

metal was introduced issue 3 but tbh i didn't really know where exactly i was going with him until issue 4. that's when i really started planning out his arc!

ahh sorry i didnt catch this earlier (i unfortunately am a little drowned in reblog notes) but i like the general vibe I think you nailed the "alien" feel of it!

what i find a little irritating is that the echo always comes with a very high helium like pitch that is vrey distracting with the contrast to the dark overall tone (it feels like it's an accidental effect from the filter you used). It makes it really hard to make out what's being said (which isnt necessarily a bad thing bc that can add to the divine feel, but in this example its more annoying than interesting)

correct me if i'm wrong but there was a phase in frontiers when the end had two voices overlap for the dialogue, which is probably a better way of creating an "echo" with different pitches!

Curious potential dubbing question: what would you imagine Sonic in full final gaiahog form sounding like? I imagine it's a different sounding filter compared to his previous forms 🤔

once hes full gaiahog he should have some reverb on his voice

The previous forms gradually strenghened the werehog strain. Like first werehog its only strained and slightly darker but in shamar/holoska he has full on regular werehog voice. And on prison island when he yells at shadow his voice starts to reverberate, like his body, his throat, is too small to really properly produce the sound. First of all the feeling should be otherworldly and divine.

For sonic i forgot to put a visual filter on the words but for other cgaracters i made it very visual when i want there to be a divine reverberation..... ;3 you'll see very soon....

Denied, while you can definitely break your jaw with it, its NOT a jawbreaker. jawbreakers arent shiny, nor metallic! Take that out of your mouth!

since the theme was worldbuilding, i wanted to take a jab at a world in which very different magical anthropomorphic creatures coexist; with magic as well as technology! I admit i might have overdone it a little for an 8 page comic but hey, I tried! I def learned a lot about writing short stories (somehting i'm just really bad at........ i gotta yap! im unfortunately mad)

The intensity of this scene is getting so good. Tails and Knuckles fighting so desperately with those incredibly determined but frantic expressions.

yes! this is like a super intense moment here. who's got the upper hand? the drama.....
