thinking about it, i can picture hiromi being a clingy lover. maybe not in public — i can’t see him just grabbing your face and kissing you while you two are out and about or anything, nor is he a fan of excessive PDA — but when it’s just you two, he’s totally a puppy. isn’t one to beg or whine or anything extravagant or embarrassing like that, but he’ll definitely make little attempts to hold you hostage when he needs you close. strong arms around your waist after a long, long day, you on his lap with your back against his chest as he mumbles into your shoulder, “no,” for the umpteenth time when you try to explain you have chores to get done around your house. you knew you shouldn't have fallen for it, but shame on you, because you just had to try and lean in for a kiss, huh? and he'll just... keep you there. hum in your ear, trace circles on your stomach through your shirt, kiss your jaw lightly. he'll ask you how your day was, how your parents are doing, any attempt at all to get you to sit and just be with him. let him have this, he's tired. he'll tell you about his day, too — “though i can't reveal any actual case details with you,” he'll say, his chin on your shoulder and his lips near your ear so he doesn't talk any louder than he has to — divulging how he feels about going to court once again, how it's tiresome, how the law is shit, etc. and so on. then he'll stall again, honeyed words of a future date for the two of you falling from his lips in a mumble, even though you have no idea how the subject changed so quickly; a picnic, maybe? you have always wanted to do that. or that fancy restaurant he took you to for your birthday? the clever man would toil away sweet-talking you until his mouth goes dry, if it keeps you here a bit longer.

man. being an artist/writer on the internet is HARD sometimes. gaining a following for doing this one thing and then changing it up/doing it less/being busy etc etc and feeling the guilt of not delivering what your audience came here for. you can choose to let go and draw for yourself exclusively but its really not that easy in this economy with likes and algorithm and traction and shit. to artists who truly have a "fuck it we ball" mentality i salute you i wish i were as strong as you

So we all know that the reason their speech in ac1 was so unnatural was because the animus was translating Arabic to English (also, it was over 1000 years ago, so there's that) but I like to imagine that they were a lot more casual when they spoke to each other, like within the context of the language, and they sounded more like a group of guys in military barracks (if you've ever heard a guys in basic training talking to one another, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about). And I always accidentally incorporate this without warning beforehand. So a lot of my ac1 fics read really out of character, but trust, I know what I'm talking about. (My credentials come from being in a military family and growing up around war vets/military personnel)
