It’s always so shocking to me that (at least in my experience) men rarely ever get compliments from people? Just today I saw a guy with a cool jacket and I approached him and said it was cool and I asked where he got it from. He looked almost scared (note: this was a grown man with his friend and I am like a 5”7’ kid in a colourful jacket) and he nervously said thank you and told me where he got it from (he only told me the city, which is wildly unhelpful but I got scared and didn’t pry further)

I was with my brother and he was like “yeah men rarely ever get compliments. Usually when I get them I think they’re joking and I laugh it off.” Which??? Wow??? As someone who was raised a girl this is so foreign to me. Whenever women compliment each other (again, speaking from my experience) they usually excitedly say thank you and tell you how much it was and where it’s from and do a little twirl and oh look it has pockets!

And I think it’s a real shame that men don’t get that experience, idk I feel like complimenting people and spreading joy should be a universal thing

#then my brother said that when men get compliments they think about it forever because it rarely happens #which is just so depressing #I hope I made that guy’s day #that jacket was REALLY cool

I don't think I've ever done one of these before, but I really like this jacket.
