Apparently, get into a PJO community wasn't a good idea. That was literally the first thing that appeared.

It is insane to me how people can excuse Annabeth's behavior regarding the entire Judo Flip scene, using offpage takes or terrible justifications to give her a pass.

You like Percabeth? That is fine. Do as you wish. Ship whatever you wanna ship. But can someone please tell me why do you feel the need to romanticize a physical assault? That ridiculous movement Rick pulled out from his ass? The judo flip was a physical assault, you may like it or not, therefore, it is considered abuse.

Percy didnt expect to be attacked.

It wasnt a spar either

They are the only couple where this kind of physicality happens. So no. It is not "commun".

Let's adress the entire judo flip scene, shall we?

Annabeth was on a diplomatic mission. She arrived at Camp Jupiter, a non friendly military place, in a literally explosion. The first thing she does in front of every single roman was attack their praetor. It doesnt matter if it was her boyfriend. That was a stupid movement which could lead to a diplomatical nightmare. Not very wise from the Goddess of Wisdom' daughter.

She wasnt assuring anything. She wasnt making sure "they were still in tune after half a year apart". She was angry. She was angry at him. That is explicit in her POV. Her actions are made out of anger. She didn't judo flipped him and made a joke like "You should not lower your guard, seaweed brain" with a reliefed laugh. No. Instead she put an arm on his throat, and a knee on his belly and threatened him "If you ever leave me again... I swear by the gods..."

Annabeth didnt know Percy lost the Curse of Achilles. Annabeth knew where his death spot was. And still decided to judo flip him and press his back on the pavement with that move. If Percy still had that curse, he.could.have.been.killed. Let that sink in. One stone in the wrong place and it would be over.

Another thing that debunks the take "it was an ok move. Percy and Annabeth are ok with that" is that Percy comments later on the story in his POV that Annabeth was still angry at him for disappearing. And that he felt the need to apologize. Lets keep in my mind that Percy was literally kidnapped and brainwashed by the Queen of Heavens. There was nothing he could have done.

Out of this post, apparently Percy needs to apologize for disappearing (again, kidnapped) according to some people. But Annabeth doesnt need to apologize for literally physically assaulting her boyfriend in front of a crowd.

Again, ship whatever the hell you wanna ship. I really couldnt care less. But stop Romanticizing abuse. It doesnt matter they are demigods. It doesnt matter if Annabeth has abandonment issues. A lesson you should learn and take even to real life: Your trauma doesnt excuse your mistreatment of others.

I really doubt if Percy pulled that shit on Annabeth when she was the one kidnapped and tricked to hold up the sky, the fandom would excuse Percy's behavior. And guess what? They shouldnt either. Because it would have been a dickmove from Percy.

You are only excusing this kind of behavior, because the one who does that is a girl, therefore is "girlbossing" and "it isnt a real problem".

I know we're not on the Hearts chapter but, I have a feeling the SSR will be Cater? But also him having the tear animation, since I have a feeling his dream will be a bit like Ruggie's q-q

I'm leaning towards either Cater or Ace, personally! Trey and Deuce have kinda already had their character arcs -- though someone else did mention to me that they thought it might be Trey, because so far all the vices have gotten one. though that might just be coincidence. we'll find out I guess!

my red-string-on-corkboard theory is that Ace is gonna get his arc + UM during whatever goes down with Grim, so while I could be completely wrong, I think it'd be nice if it were Cater's time to shine! ...also I am VERY curious as to what his dream is gonna be. 👀 like, I don't think he's gonna be all angsty or anything, he's a pretty cheery guy even though he pretends to be more vapid than he is, but...what would he be like if he were less. y'know.

(also I kind of want him to get the focus just because I think it'd be a shame if all he got was a super-quick 'oh his dream is to have a billion followers or whatever, now let's go on to the next person'. c'mon Twst. give him some love.)

As per usual, it’s DP crossover with (probably) DC, although you could probably adjust it for other fandoms

A little kid and his mother are trick or treating in another city, perhaps at some kind of event rather than knocking on doors, and the kid is dressed as Phantom. It’s very adorable, with his little ghost-shaped bucket and clearly homemade and already stained costume—listen, white only works if you can just fly over street grime or phase it out of your clothes—and his slightly I’ll fitting wig. The kid is SO happy to be out and about dressed as his favorite, and maybe even showed it off to Phantom back in Amity Park before his family left.

The hero, insert whoever you wish here, is probably in civvies and just enjoying the event. The kid, meanwhile, is so glad when people ask who he is so he can explain, and so- the hero gets to hear ALL ABOUT the local town hero who is probably pretty small time despite the kid’s clearly exaggerated stories. The hero certainly never heard of him, but the kid’s mom confirms that Phantom really was the town hero, despite some mixed reviews of the poor guy.

“Did you manage to show him your costume?” the hero asks.

“Yeah! We went down to the cemetery to leave flowers and I got to show him my costume.”

Wait. Cemetery? Maybe it was part of theme, because Phantom had to be named that for a reason, but… it sounded like…

The kid ignores the suddenly VERY still hero and instead turns to his mom. “Momma, do you think we should bring him candy? He doesn’t get to trick or treat like we do, and I can work super hard to get him a bunch!”

The kid’s mom just smiles. “We could, but maybe we should bring him something homemade. I bet he’d like something more filling, teen boys like him have a hollow leg.”

The kid wrinkles his nose. “Like Vernie with the pizza bagels?”

“Like your cousin, yes. We can make some cinnamon rolls and take them to his memorial, maybe bring some of the apples from your grandpa’s garden…”

The hero is pretty much forgotten as the two-part family wanders off, not quite intentionally forgetting the hero is there so much as the hero somewhat accidentally ended the conversation when they just froze and didn’t ask anything further.

Not that the hero didn’t want to. But they’d learn something very serious.

One—there was a small town hero they’d never heard of. Two—that hero was apparently a teen. Third—most pressingly, the teen hero was both beloved enough to have kids dressing up as him and dead enough to have a grave.

This… might require some phone calls.

So let me get this straight:

Hollow knight is about the journey of a small creature possessing the corpse of a god's discarded child, and the character arc that unfolds as they realize they're more than the path they were set to take, eventually defeating the corruption instead of merely postponing inevitable destruction.

Rain world is about the journeys and experiences of many small creatures sent by a bunch of gossiping computers, and the efforts to help stop the destruction caused by a corrupted god that unfolds over hundreds of years, all to postpone his inevitable death.

The thing abt john winchester is that he is too complex for the majority of the spn fandom and for a good portion of the writers on the show too.

Because at his core john is about love over everything else. When he looks up at his sons (yes, up, the fact that they’re both taller than him>>>>>), there is love seeping achingly from every single pore of his being even as he abuses them, as he destroys their souls beyond belief. He does it all entirely out of love. And he is so, so wrong for it. A part of him knows it. But he wants to keep dean alive, and he wants to keep Sam pure. And he loves them so much. And he damages them so horribly. John Winchester is the foundation upon which they are both built, they only become more of what he made them as the series goes on. Sam stops fighting it, Dean continues to mold into his image no matter how hard he tries to fight it.

Hell puts them both on steroids, but their individual trauma responses that influence this are the foundations that John built into them. No wonder azazel wanted sam to win so badly. John Winchester crafted his sons into alastair and Lucifer’s ideal victims, respectively, and dean was a better (worse) john than John ever was. John held out in hell. Dean acquiesced to his abuser despite all of his efforts to fight him, and he’s never been the same since.

Sam fought like hell, and he fought destiny, but at his core, he did what John always wanted him to by doing what dean wanted him to do, and then he stops fighting at all, loses the fire he showed john in adolescence that john immediately notices when he returns in s14.

And the sad thing is. They filled their roles so well that John is saddened by what they’ve become. He didn’t want dean to break. He didn’t want Sam to be dimmed. He’s sad to see what Sam is like in s14. In the process of recovering his wife, he ensured he would mold his sons into what he wanted them to be, and when he got what he wanted, he was devastated.

John Winchester is so driven by love and grief and he’s so filled to the brim with both that it’s painful to watch him on screen because he destroyed his family because of it. And he wanted this all along but he didn’t realize what he’d have to give up to get it.
