Stranded in Monaco di Baviera
I started preparing for this trip by watching the first season of Meister Eder und sein Pumuckl. Little did I know that my short vacation will double in length.
There was a time when München was known as the Haupstadt der Bewegung, but in the last few days there was no bewegung of trams, buses and most of the flights were canceled. So I got stuck.
The first thing that hit me in the city was the smell. Later I would feel the same smell (or another, a mixture of pork, sausages and Glühwein) even from the 91 m high tower of the St. Peter church.
However the first thing to warm my soul was this Osram advert:
On the way to the Glypthotek I was happy to see this:
Of course one goes to the Glypthotek to see the Medusa Rondanini.
"the mere knowledge that such a work could be created and still exists in the world makes me twice the person I was"
And in München one goes to eat and drink.
Obazda goes very good with beer (look up a recipe and make it as soon as you can).
Pork knuckles were a disappointment (I think the ones I am used to are smoked beforehand).
The beef soup? My mother makes better soup from chicken!
If you care about sacrificed animals and you think that every possible part of it should be used, also if you like to eat organs, you might try Milzwurst that is a thick sausage made with spleen. You might try it, but it's just meh...
What to drink? Drink helles, Feuerzangenbowle, Enzian and Bärwurz Schnaps and generally spirits that are so obscure that even the young waitress doesn't know about their existence (Bockbierbrand).
Now about something else. On the third day the snow was so big that the airport got in full chaos mode.
On that day I have seen a young woman skiing on the sidewalk. Next level for sure.
In six days I have seen almost everything I wanted and some things I didn't even care about so much and I made a daytrip to Norimberga.
Not much photos on my phone. I will make later a then and now post.
So
The End
Nyissz! at Asamkirche

Apfelschorle (Apple Spritzer), also Apfelsaftschorle (Apple juice spritzer) or Apfelsaft gespritzt (Splashed apple juice) in German, is a popular soft drink in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. It consists of carbonated mineral water and apple juice. The broader category Fruchtschorle consists of any fruit juice mixed with carbonated water, but Apfelschorle is by far the most common. Spritzer (that is wine mixed with carbonated water) is called Weinschorle. src.: Wikipedia

Boiling Isles Cuisines Concept
Influences
Locals/Pre-Covens:
Varieties of ‘Smaller’ Meat Sources for less risk against larger beasts (Example: Fairies, Jackalope or Slime)
More Relies on fruits, mushrooms, herbs, and numbers of non-starchy plants.
Freshwater from natural sources as the main drink.
Low Carb, Low Fat (Mostly from ‘meat’), and mostly Proteins, Minerals, and Nutrients for magic-based performance.
Prefer to be consumed raw, partly cooked, or boiling as stew/soup. (Nutrition Conserving Values)
Imperial/Covens: Influences from 18th Century British Cuisine
Starch Carbohydrate for occasions, especially bakery. (Rice, Noodle, and most non-Bakery Flour product are not quite popular)
More refining on food. Examples, jerkies, juice, sugar, or brewed drinks.
Introducing to fermentation/pickling
Covens & Regional Sub-Cuisines
More technique, cooking tools & utensils.
Liberated/Modernized:
Earth Cuisines Approaching, especially
American
Caribbeans
East Asian
Italian
South Asian & Southeast Asian
Influences of Nutrition Sciences
De-Covenization & Emerging “Fusion” Cuisines
Earth Technology: Some Embrace, Some Against, and Some Twist
Electricity(Or Magical Equivalent) & Clean Water for All
Examples of the Cuisines
Pre-Coven
Fresh Fairy Herbal Salad: A Heterogeneous Mixed “Salad” of live fairies, sliced acidic juice, and herbs that make fairies weaks(or even passed out without dying before being eaten).
Inspiration: Goong Then “Dancing Shrimp” from Thailand/ Southeast Asian Spicy Salad/ Live Sashimi
Mushroom & Peels Stew: Leftover Fruit Peels sometimes are good to suppress the odor of some foul-smelt mushroom, give some complex flavors, and also less food waste.
Inspiration: Bowl of Browns from George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones/Worcestershire Sauce/Chinese Herbs
Fire Salamander Molt Rind: Collected Molt of Fire Salamander that fried by reaction between the chemical in it & salt, making it crispy & more edible. However, spicy & coarse, preferred as seasoning.
Inspiration: Pork Rind, Fire Flake(A:TLA), and “Cruelty-Free Meat”
Golden Snails: The freshwater snail coated & stewed in yolk & herbs/spices-based gravy that made the food look golden. Considered as delicacy for its difficulty from harvesting ingredients to cooking it perfectly
Inspiration: Salted Egg-based Stir Fried/ French Cuisine/ Thick Stew
Coven/Imperial
Fairy Pie
Bard’s Banshee Brew: Drink for the vocal-based bards to have the more enduring, yet, soft & flexible throats. (Alcoholic)
Candied Bile-Apple: Pineapple-like fruit that grew around the right feet of Titan(which have the color & smell of bile somehow, with tastes of complex saltiness, bitterness, and umami). It is candied to be consumed easier, as a health-enhancing food.
Griffon Breasts: Taste like chicken mixed with gamey beef. Usually being cooked as steak for the wealthy, like the Blights. Enjoyed with acidic “gravy”.
Liberated
Boiling Isles’ Curry Stew: Based on Japanese Curry Rice, which is cooked to be eaten by itself. It’s composed of local spices & Earth’s dried spices, protein of choices, and some vegetables (mostly not potatoes).
Nutty O’nut: Doughnut that is made of local nut-based flour & baked instead of fried. Plus, being enjoyed with hot drinks & some fruits.
PB&J (Peanut Blood & Jackalope) Sandwich: Peanut-based version “Apple Blood”, made into jam that enjoyed with Jackalope meat
Smile Dip

Character Intro: Pherusa (Kingdom of Ichor)
Nicknames- The Golly Goddess, Bearer of Fruits by the people of Olympius
Mom by her daughters
Age- 37 (immortal)
Location- Arcadia, Olympius
Personality- She's a bubbly goddess with a carefree aura. She's creative, free-spirited, & close to nature. She's a lesbian and is casually dating.
She has the standard abilities of a goddess except shapeshifting. As the goddess of substance & farm estates her other powers/abilities include karpokinesis (fruit manipulation/generation), juice manipulation, limited photokinesis, being able to telekinetically control farming equipment, limited chlorokinesis (as it pertains to hay & grass), and limited atmokinesis.
Pherusa is the mother of the seasonal goddesses- Thallo (goddess of spring & new growth), Auxo (goddess of summer, vegetation, & plants), and Carpo (goddess of autumn & fruits).
She lives in the state of Arcadia in a french style cottage. There's a few acres of farmland along with a LARGE orchard (meant for fruit production). The interior design of the cottage is very romantic and provençal with a mix of vintage and country furniture pieces, a color palette of cream, beige, tawny, pale blue, & pastel yellow, artwork with pastural or natural themes, natural hardwood flooring, and toile de juoy patterns on wallpaper & curtains.
In addition to the farm animals, she has an animal companion- a female griffin named Honey. Honey is Pherusa's usual mode of transportation when traveling great distances, like visiting her daughters in New Olympus or visiting faraway friends. She mostly gets around in her classic 70's style bright orange VW beetle.
She always starts of her mornings with a session of yoga.
Instead of lotion, she moisturizes her skin with coconut oil.
Pherusa loves her "chickadees." She doesn't play favorites and loves her daughters equally. Pherusa not only makes it a priority to spend time as a family, but also individually- whether it's surfing with Auxo, bike riding with Thallo, or going to the farmer's market with Carpo. They also play music together with Pherusa being a featured artist on The Gypsy Belles' bonus track "Prairie Poets" on their album A Vintage Year.
She can play the acoustic guitar, autoharp, & the dobro!
A typical breakfast for her is belgian style whole grain waffles topped with cottage cheese, sauteed apples, maple syrup, and cinnamon sugar along with a fruit salad parfait & scrambled eggs added with sausage, onions, peppers, and tomatoes. She also likes several slices of lightly toasted white bread topped with butter & different kinds of fruit marmalades. From her own cereal brand her favorites are the summer berries flavor, the vanilla spice flakes, the apple cinnamon o's, and the oatmeal peanut butter.
Pherusa keeps her red hair in a neck length lob. She likes the Glory's Crown citrus and herbal musk shampoo & conditioner as well as the apricot oil hair spray.
Instead of perfume, she prefers to use fruit essential oils (behind her ears, inside her wrists, on her ankles, between her bosom, and on the side of her neck). Her favorite essential oils are the pink grapefruit, passionfruit, cherry, & apple.
Pherusa's closet consists of form hugging dresses, wedges, platform sandals, flowy mini skirts, bright colors, bold patterns, high waisted flare pants, and peasant blouses.
A go-to drink for her is her homemade carrot juice. She also likes coconut water, watermelon juice, citrus infused mineral water, iced tea, peach lemonade, ginger ale, pomegranate tea, lychee-passionfruit boba tea, red sangrias, aperol spritzes, orange soda, appletinis, cherry sazeracs, seabreeze cocktails, and champagne. Usuals from The Roasted Bean include a large iced green tea & an olympian sized fruit punch splash.
Pherusa's favorite makeup products to use is the Olmorfia blush powder in "strawberry crush", the plumping lip glaze in "persimmon" (a bold reddish brown), and the Museology UV liquid eyeliner in "electric shock", a bright neon yellow.
Her ultimate guilty pleasure is a large pizza topped with pineapple, yellow peppers, & jalapeños.
Pherusa's primary source of income comes from her cereal brand Golly Grains, the 2nd most popular after Earthly Harvest. Golly Grains' animated commercials and online ads are quite popular as well as its slogan- "A golly way to start your day!" To help out her daughters, she models for their clothing brand Treis Epochés.
From The Bread Box, she likes the chicken salad sandwich along with a watermelon feta salad.
Some of her favorite frozen treats include pineapple coconut ice cream, mango sorbet, and pomegranate sorbet.
In the pantheon Pherusa has a deep friendship with most of the agricultural deities like Demeter (goddess of the harvest & agriculture) and Eunostos & Promylaia (goddesses of the flour mill). Pherusa is the noná to Krysothemis (Kristy), the daughter of Karmanor (demi-god of the harvest). Her best friend is his sister Karme (demi-goddess of the harvest). Pherusa loves traveling to Eleusis to see her, looking forward to her delicious corn pudding! She even views Eubouleus (god of the swine & ploughing) as a father figure.
She's also friends with Kéfi (goddess of mirth), Apheleia (goddess of simplicity), Oeno (goddess of berries & wine), Thilasmós (goddess of nursing), Anatole (goddess of sunrise), Damia (goddess of naturalness), Elais (goddess of oil), Spermo (goddess of grains), Nymphe (goddess of self-care), Rhapso (goddess of sewing), Hestia (goddess of the hearth), Philotes (goddess of sex, friendship, & affection), Pan (god of the wild, satyrs, shepherds, & rustic music), Livádi (goddess of meadows), Eváeros (goddess of air & the zodiacs), and Zchari (god of confectionery).
She loves snacking on plaintain chips.
Her and Thilasmós often bond over about the attention and comments they get due to their ample chests.
Pherusa went to New Olympus Fashion Week for the first time last year when Rhapso got her & Eváeros exclusive front-row tickets.
She appeared once in a nude spread for Zeus' mens' magazine. Her photoshoot "broke the internet" for a few minutes when the images made its way on Fatestagram.
Some of her favorite desserts are Záchari's honeyed fig crostatas (dusted on top with an extra helping of powdered sugar), Eváeros' ambrosia salad, Karme's peach bourbon upside-down bundt cake, and the orange lemon pound cake from Hollyhock's Bakery.
As for her love life, Pherusa is enjoying her singledom and meeting new people. Her last serious relationship was with an anthousai named Amaryllis. Pherusa has a few dating apps on her smartphone- also having gone out on more than one date with a maenad named Rhiannon.
A couple of months ago Pherusa flew to Cyprus to hang out with Philotes. They had fun at a nightclub, got a bit tipsy, and ended up making out on the dancefloor. Things got steamier when Philotes went down on her in the nightclub's bathroom. Days later, Philotes reached out to her to "clear the air" with them admitting their attraction to each other. Pherusa was taken aback when Philotes offered up the idea to sleep with each other while her husband Priapus (god of fertility, vegetable gardens, livestock, sexuality, & masculinity) watches, without participating. She hasn't given her an answer yet.
Pherusa has a growing collection of Diamond Ave. fruit themed jeweled clutches. She herself was able to get the orange slice one (which costs 4,000 drachmas) while Karme got her the peach shaped one. As a summer solstice gift last year, Rhapso got her the pineapple shaped one!
In her free time she enjoys sunbathing, gardening, swimming, cooking, baking, bike riding, reading, shopping, spending time with her daughters, golf, fishing, and spending time with her friends.
Her favorite meals include chilled peach soup with fresh goat cheese, roasted lamb chops with a cherry glaze, and coconut chicken curry with white rice.
"If you eat today, thank a farmer."

5 drinks
...and what it says about me. Tagged by @powerofadyingsun
Tea: That's what I live on, mostly rooibos tea flavoured with vanilla or orange peel or lemon verbena for example, or fresh ginger tea with lemon, or other herbal teas, no milk, no sugar, more than a litre a day all year around (even when it's hot 🙈).
Dry red wine: That's a treat in the evening, usually on weekends together with something nice to eat or a lot of dark chocolate (85% cocoa). Guess I inherited the taste for it from my dad.
Beer: I drink all kinds of beer, also beer mixed with lemonade, but wheat beer is my favourite (not the one I had a couple of years ago at a restaurant in Sydney though, that one was disgusting 🤮, don't know if it was just an accident or do Australians not know how to brew a good beer from wheat?)
Sparkling mineral water mixed with apple or orange or any other fruit juice: Like that especially in the summer.
Cocoa: Especially in winter when it's cold outside, home-made with lots of dark chocolate and oat milk and a little sprinkle of cinnamon (or a dash of rum or amaretto)
(coke very rarely, no coffee at all unless it has way more milk in it than coffee, haven't had a single energy drink in my life 😂)
No idea what that all says about me 🙈

Juicing has emerged as a popular method for weight loss due to its numerous health benefits and simplicity. By extracting the natural goodness of fruits and vegetables, juicing offers a concentrated dose of essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. This article will guide you through an effective juicing method for weight loss, along with five delicious and nutritious juicing recipes to help you achieve your fitness goals.

Invest in a High-Quality Juicer: Investing in a good-quality juicer will ensure efficient extraction of juice from your chosen ingredients. Centrifugal and masticating juicers are popular options, each with its own benefits.
Experiment with Combinations: While individual fruits and vegetables offer their unique benefits, combining them can create flavor profiles that are both enjoyable and beneficial for weight loss. Be creative and try various combinations until you find your preferred flavors.

Energy shots-cocktails to boost immunity
Such shots-cocktails can be made independently at home – you will only need a juicer and a couple of other devices that can be found in every kitchen. The most important task of energy shots is to increase immunity. You can maintain your health by drinking these cocktails in the morning several times a week, as well as during colds and fatigue.
Natural shots based on fresh juices, spices, and superfoods will help you improve your athletic performance with regular use. They will increase energy, give your face a fresh, radiant look, and replace (partially or completely) medications during a cold.
Some of the recipes may seem very simple to you. Each of the ingredients is full of vitamins and minerals.
Healthy white grass cocktails
Daily consumption of wheat germ juice will raise your tone, and mood and charge you with energy for the whole day (of course, provided that it is fresh juice). You can combine wiregrass with any fruits and vegetables, because they all contain nutrients, and each of them has its own effect on the work of the body.
Not everyone likes to drink wiregrass in its pure form, so we offer you several delicious recipes for vitamin cocktails. So, in each cocktail, there are 2 tablespoons of wiregrass and 2 tablespoons of juice from other useful plants.
Coffee Whitegrass
This recipe is suitable for lovers of morning coffee, provided that all the rules are followed, you will be energized for the whole day. So, after a cup of your favorite morning coffee, drink 2 tablespoons of wiregrass. And then, within 1-2 hours, drink at least 2 glasses of water.
With ginger
After you try this cocktail, you will appreciate its name Mix 2 tablespoons of wheat germ juice with juice, 1 teaspoon of ginger, Snack on this splendor with a slice of lemon, and drink a glass of clean water.
With mint
This recipe is one of the most delicious because, for 2 tablespoons of wiregrass, you can take as much mint juice as your heart desires. Mint cleanses the blood and removes toxins, do not neglect it.
With grapes
In this recipe, you should mix the juice of wheat sprouts with grape juice. But the grapes should be red, it contains quartzine, which is an antioxidant and antihistamine. It also contains saponins, which react with cholesterol and prevent it from entering the bloodstream.
Lemon Whitegrass
Here everything is very simple, mix 2 tablespoons of wiregrass and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Lemon contains antioxidants, so in combination with the juice of wheat sprouts, it gives a healing effect for the whole body.
You can combine wiregrass with any fruits and vegetables because they all contain nutrients.
Spirulina Shot
The powder from this seaweed consists of exactly half of the protein, which makes it the number one product for vegans and vegetarians. In addition, spirulina prevents premature aging, and has a beneficial effect on the functioning of the liver, strengthening the barrier mechanisms and increasing the level of purification of the body from toxins and toxins.
Along with this, it effectively restores the intestinal microflora and helps to reduce the amount of sugar in the blood. Just dilute half a teaspoon of spirulina with water and drink as quickly as possible, the taste of spirulina is very peculiar.
Proportions for two servings: 1/2 cup water, and 1/4 teaspoon spirulina powder.
Red cabbage and apple shot
Red cabbage juice is rich in vitamin B, and is able to stop the growth of cancer cells and cure stomach diseases. Folic acid, contained in red cabbage juice, has a positive effect on women's health and is especially necessary for pregnant women.
Proportions for two servings: 7.0 oz red cabbage (without stalk), 1 red apple, and juice of 1/2 lemon.
Ginger, lemon, and apple shot
This shot will help to cope with poor digestion, constipation, and bloating. If you drink this shot in the morning, then ginger from the very beginning of the day will set the right settings for digestion. In addition to all of the above, ginger, along with lemon, is super support for the immune system, which is weakened in almost all residents of the metropolis, especially those who do not get enough sleep, are nervous a lot, and do not have time to regularly eat properly. And yes, never remove the skin from the root of ginger, it contains many useful trace elements! It is better to thoroughly wash the root.
Proportions for two servings: 1 apple, a piece of ginger, 1 teaspoon 1/2 lemon.
Anti-cold shot
Ingredients: ginger, lemon, turmeric, orange.
Turmeric is a natural antiseptic that can replace instant powders and pills at the time of a cold. Half a teaspoon will do the trick with regular use. You can also add a small piece of red hot pepper. This shot will help to clear up the toxins that often cause drowsiness, apathy, and weakened immunity.

I find that I drink more when there's a taste to my drink - so, it's lots of juice for me. Or Schorle - a German thing where you mix a juice of your choice (apple is popular) with mineral water.
The weather's getting warmer, so here's my seasonal reminder for other folks who have issues staying hydrated (autistics, people on certain meds, people who hate water, whatever):
Jello is, in fact, mostly water. So are a lot of fruits, like melon, cucumber, and berries. Ice chips are also water. If you find it hard to drink enough day to day, try eating your water instead. Every little bit helps!

just discovered so many great foreign sodas in the comments and tags so y'all about to get a mini lesson in Portuguese sodas because #TugaPride:
Brisa Maracujá - the best, and I mean, BEST soda made in Portugal (from Madeira island), it's made with real maracujá/passion fruit juice (my fav flavor in anything 🤤) and it's lightly carbonated (good if you're like me and don't love carbonated drinks in general). if you're a soda fan and happen to visit this beautiful piece of land please try it (you'll find it in the mainland too, not just Madeira) and then thank yourself for the best (or worst) decision you ever made
Sumol - one of the oldest sodas in Portugal (70th birthday this year yo!), it's got all your usual soda flavours like orange, pineapple, passion fruit (the yummiest one) and apple too I think (this last one is rare in stores tho), BUT in 2021 they made a new flavour with oranges from Algarve (they are 👌) and the rest is history, I love love love this flavor even tho Sumol is more carbonated than Brisa and I prefer no bubbles in my soda/juices
Água das Pedras - I had to mention this one, Água das Pedras (Water of Stones, if you translate literally) is a sparkling natural mineral water, meaning the water already comes carbonated from its source, which is extremely rare in sparkling waters. it has a slightly salty flavour (it's very subtle), which is kind of fun considering the water comes from the Pedras Salgadas (Salty Stones) valley... coincidence? maybe, who knows! anywho, i'm not a sparkling water person at all (if TV static had a taste it would be sparkling water) so I only had this like 2 or 3 times in my life, but it has a cult following and if you ask for sparkling water in Portugal chances are you'll get a bottle of this like 90% of the time
nobody asked but since i'm here... as for international sodas, I love me an ice cold glass of lemon Lipton Iced Tea just like beer people love to crack open a cold one after a hard day's work (I will drink the peach and mango flavors too with no hesitation, I often don't even correct the waiter if they bring me the wrong flavour) and some Sprite/7up mixed with black currant syrup and a lemon slice to cut the sweetness. Jarritos from Mexico are bomb too, love the mango and grapefruit flavor, and finally a shoutout to Guaraná Antártica from my Brazilian homies, shit's delish (even if a bit too sweet for my taste)

Sausage and Kraut Day
Since November 3 is Sausage and Kraut Day, it’s time to load up on the facts about sauerkraut!
• The word “sauerkraut” has its origins in the German language, translating “sour cabbage.” However, the food itself traces its roots to China, where cooks were pickling cabbage in rice wine as early as 200 B.C. It’s believed that Mongolian ruler Genghis Khan brought sauerkraut west during his invasions that conquered most of Eurasia around the year 1237. Fermented sauerkraut stayed fresh during long journeys.
• Sauerkraut was brought to North America by German immigrants, and became a Pennsylvania Dutch specialty. Because the Pennsylvania Dutch believed the food brought good luck, a tradition was started there, eating sauerkraut on New Year’s Day to bring luck for the upcoming year. It’s first mentioned in American writings in 1776.
• To make sauerkraut, cabbage is finely shredded and layered into stone jars, with salt placed between each layer. The amount of salt is equal to 2% of the cabbage’s weight. It is then tamped down with a wooden masher until the juice rises above the cabbage. If the cabbage is low in juice, water is added to the jar until it reaches the desired depth, with the cabbage fully covered.
• The cabbage is then left to ferment at 60 degrees F for several weeks. The proper temperature is vital for the best quality product and to prevent mold and yeast from growing. As it ferments, acid-forming bacteria flourish and convert the cabbage’s sugars into acetic and lactic acids, which will act as preservatives. Refrigeration isn’t required during fermentation, although sometimes the stone jars must be immersed in a tub of cold water to maintain the temperature. Exposure to heat during the process will kill the bacteria that produce the fermentation.
• In many countries, sauerkraut is more than just cabbage. Poland, Russia, and Ukraine add shredded carrots to the brine, and might also include quartered apples or cranberries. Bell pepper and beets are also added ingredients. German cooks might flavor their sauerkraut with juniper berries or caraway seeds, adding white wine to the mix. In the Netherlands, sauerkraut is known as “zuurkool,” while the French call in “choucroute.”
• Commercial manufacturers can or jar sauerkraut by using heat, and some use vinegar in the fermentation process. Unfortunately, much of the nutritional value is lost once the cabbage is cooked, and raw sauerkraut is a much more nutritious product.
• Sauerkraut is filled with health benefits, including its ability to aid in digestion and increase blood circulation. During fermentation, beneficial probiotics that promote gastrointestinal health are produced. It’s also rich in Vitamins A, C, K, and B complex, along with minerals like iron, manganese, copper, potassium, magnesium, and calcium, as well as being a good source of fiber. It provides an increase in energy and metabolism levels and boosts the immune system.
• However, even with all the healthy benefits, sauerkraut isn’t for everyone. Due to the salty brine, it’s very high in sodium, which can be a dangerous thing for those suffering from cardiovascular and renal diseases.

Before we dive into remedies, it's important to understand why dogs engage in this behavior, known as coprophagia:
Nutritional deficiencies
Digestive issues
Stress or anxiety
Learned behavior
Medical conditions
If the behavior persists, consult your veterinarian to rule out any underlying health issues.
Effective Home Remedies
1. Pineapple
Pineapple can be an effective and tasty deterrent for poop-eating dogs:
Add small chunks of fresh pineapple to your dog's food
The enzyme bromelain alters the taste of feces, making it less appealing
Start with small amounts to avoid digestive upset
For easier consumption, try adding a tablespoon of unsweetened pineapple juice to their water or food
2. Pumpkin
Pumpkin is a great digestive aid that may help curb this behavior:
Add plain canned pumpkin (not pie filling) to your dog's food
Start with 1-2 teaspoons for small dogs or 1-2 tablespoons for larger dogs
The high fiber content improves digestion and may make stool less appealing
Roasted, ground pumpkin seeds can also be sprinkled on food (1 teaspoon per 10 pounds of body weight)
3. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar can help balance gut flora and deter poop eating:
Mix equal parts water and apple cider vinegar in a spray bottle
Spray areas where your dog typically finds feces to eat
For internal use, add a teaspoon of ACV to your dog's food or water (for every 25 pounds of body weight)
4. Dietary Supplements
Addressing nutritional deficiencies can help stop this behavior:
Add digestive enzyme supplements to your dog's food
Consider mineral supplements (consult your vet first)
Ensure your dog is on a high-quality, balanced diet

Prevention is key in stopping this habit[6]:
Clean up after your dog immediately
Keep your yard and living areas free of feces
Supervise your dog during walks and outdoor time

🌿 Natural Treatment for Kidney Stones: A Comprehensive Guide to Relief and Prevention
Kidney stones are incredibly painful and can disrupt your day-to-day life. If you're looking for alternatives to medical interventions, natural treatment for kidney stones , then you may visit https://moonstonenutrition.com/ which offers several effective options. These remedies can help relieve discomfort, prevent new stones from forming, and support kidney health overall.
Understanding Kidney Stones 🩺
Kidney stones form when minerals, like calcium or uric acid, crystallize in the kidneys and can block the urinary tract. Common symptoms include severe pain, nausea, and difficulty urinating. While medical treatment is often necessary for larger stones, smaller stones may pass with proper self-care and the use of natural remedies.
Hydration is Key 💧
One of the most important factors in preventing kidney stones is staying hydrated. Dehydration can cause minerals to crystallize, leading to stone formation. Here are some hydration tips:
Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day to flush out your kidneys and urinary tract.
Add lemon juice to your water. The citric acid can help break down small stones and prevent new ones from forming.
Consider coconut water for an added hydration boost. Coconut water is not only hydrating but can also help balance electrolyte levels, reducing the risk of stone formation.
Dietary Adjustments for Kidney Health 🥦
Your diet plays a significant role in both preventing and managing kidney stones. By making a few tweaks to your meals, you can significantly reduce the likelihood of developing stones. Here are some dietary recommendations:
Limit oxalate-rich foods, such as spinach, beets, nuts, and chocolate, as they can contribute to stone formation.
Increase calcium intake (through food, not supplements) to bind oxalate in the gut and prevent it from being absorbed into the bloodstream. Dairy products, leafy greens, and fortified plant-based alternatives are excellent sources of calcium.
Cut back on sodium to lower calcium levels in your urine. High salt levels in your diet can increase the chances of forming stones.
Include more foods rich in magnesium like bananas, avocados, and legumes to balance minerals and reduce stone risk.
Herbal Remedies for Kidney Stones 🌿
Several herbal remedies are believed to help with kidney stones by either reducing their formation or assisting in their breakdown. Here are a few that are commonly used:
Chanca Piedra ("stone breaker"): This Amazonian herb is widely known for its ability to help break down kidney stones and promote their passage through the urinary tract.
Dandelion root: A natural diuretic that can increase urine production and help flush out small stones.
Nettle leaf: Known for its anti-inflammatory properties, nettle leaf can promote healthy fluid flow through the kidneys and prevent new stones from forming.
Apple Cider Vinegar for Stone Dissolution 🍎
Apple cider vinegar (ACV) contains acetic acid, which can help soften and break down kidney stones. Here’s how to use it:
Mix 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with water and drink it once or twice a day.
Add a dash of honey for taste if the vinegar is too strong.
ACV also has alkalizing effects, which can help prevent future stones from forming by balancing your body's pH levels.
The Power of Basil and Celery 🍃
Basil and celery are two plants that can help promote kidney health:
Basil juice: Drinking basil tea or juice may help dissolve kidney stones and reduce pain. Basil is rich in acetic acid, which is believed to help break down stones.
Celery juice: Known for its diuretic properties, celery juice may encourage the expulsion of kidney stones by increasing urine production.
Exercise and Movement 🏃♂️
Physical activity can also aid in the passage of small kidney stones. Moderate exercises like walking or light jogging can stimulate kidney function and help move stones through your system more quickly. However, avoid heavy exercise if you are in severe pain, as it may exacerbate your symptoms.
When to Seek Medical Attention 🚑
While natural treatments can help with smaller kidney stones or prevent new ones from forming, it's important to recognize when medical intervention is necessary. Seek medical help if you:
Experience intense pain that doesn’t improve with natural remedies.
Notice blood in your urine.
Have a fever or chills, which may indicate an infection.
In cases where stones are too large to pass naturally, medical treatments like shock wave therapy or surgery may be required.
Preventing Future Stones 🛡️
Prevention is always better than cure. To reduce your risk of developing kidney stones again:
Stay hydrated throughout the day.
Follow a balanced diet that includes low sodium and moderate calcium intake.
Avoid foods that are high in oxalates and incorporate citrus fruits into your meals.
