so part of me wants to blame this entirely on wbd, right? bloys said he was cool with the show getting shopped around, so assuming he was telling the truth (not that im abt to start blindly trusting anything a CEO says lol), that means it’s not an hbo problem. and we already know wbd has an awful track record with refusing to sell their properties—altho unlike coyote v acme, s3 of ofmd isn’t a completed work and therefore there isn’t the same tax writeoff incentive to bury the thing. i just can’t see any reason to hold on to ofmd except for worrying about image, bc it would be embarrassing if they let this show go with such a devoted fanbase and recognizable celebrities and it went somewhere else and did really well (which it would undoubtedly do really well, we’ve long since proven that). it feels kinda tinfoil hat of me to making assumptions abt what’s going on in wbd behind the scenes, but i also feel like there are hints that i’m onto something w my suspicions: suddenly cracking down on fan merch on etsy doesn’t seem like something a studio looking to sell their property would bother with, and we know someone was paying to track the viewing stats on ofmd’s bbc airing, which isn’t finished yet, so i’d expect whoever is monitoring that to not make a decision abt buying ofmd until the s2 finale dropped.

but also i think part of me just wants there to be a clear villain in the situation. it’s kinda comforting to have a face to blame, a clear target to shake my fist at. but the truth is that the entire streaming industry is in the shitter. streaming is not pulling in the kind of profit that investors were promised, and we’re seeing the bubble that was propped up w investor money finally start to pop. studios aren’t leaving much room in their budgets for acquiring new properties, and they’re whittling down what they already have. especially w the strikes last year, they’re all penny pinching like hell. and that’s much a much harder thing to rage against than just one studio or one CEO being shitty. that’s disheartening in a way that’s much bigger and more frightening than if there was just one guy to blame.

my guess is that the truth of the situation is probably somewhere in the middle. wbd is following the same shitty pattern they’ve been following since the merger, and it’s just a hard time for anyone trying to get their story picked up by any studio. ofmd is just one of many shows that are unlucky enough to exist at this very unstable time for the tv/streaming industry.

when i think abt it that way, tho, i’m struck by how lucky we are that ofmd even got to exist at all. if the wbd merger had happened a year earlier, or if djenks and tw tried to pitch this show a year later, there’s no way this show would’ve been made. s1 was given the runtime and the creative freedom needed to tell the story the way the showrunners wanted to, and the final product benefited from it so much that it became a huge hit from sheer gay word of mouth. and for all the imperfections with s2—the shorter episode order, the hard 30 minute per episode limit, the last-minute script changes, the finale a butchered mess of the intended creative vision—the team behind ofmd managed to tell a beautiful story despite the uphill battle they undoubtedly were up against. they ended the season with the main characters in a happy place. ed and stede are together, and our last shot of ed isn’t of him sobbing uncontrollably (like i rlly can’t stress enough how much i would have never been able to acknowledge the existence of this show again if s1 was all we got)

like. y’all. we were this close to a world where ofmd never got to exist. for me, at least, the pain of an undue cancellation is worth getting to have this story at all. so rather than taking my comfort in the form of righteous anger at david zaslav or at wbd or at the entire streaming industry as a whole, i’m trying to focus on how lucky i am to get to have the show in the first place.

bc really, even as i’m reeling in grief to know this is the end of the road for ofmd, a part of me still can’t quite wrap my head around that this show is real. a queer romcom about middle-aged men, a rejection of washboard abs and facetuned beauty standards, a masterful deconstruction and criticism of toxic masculinity, well-written female characters who get to shine despite being in a show that is primarily about manhood and masculinity, diverse characters whose stories never center around oppression and bigotry, a casually nonbinary character, violent revenge fantasies against oppressors that are cathartic but at the same time are not what brings the characters healing and joy, a queer found family, a strong theme of anti colonialism throughout the entire show. a diverse writers room that got to use their perspectives and experiences to inform the story. the fact that above all else, this show is about the love story between ed and stede, which means the character arcs, the thoughts, the feelings, the motivations, the backstories, and everything else that make up the characters of ed and stede are given the most focus and the most care.

bc there rlly aren’t a lot of shows where a character like stede—a flamboyant and overtly gay middle-aged man who abandoned his family to live his life authentically—gets to be the main character of a romcom, gets to be the hero who the show is rooting for.

and god, there definitely aren’t a lot of shows where a character like ed—a queer indigenous man who is famous, successful, hyper-competent, who feels trapped by rigid standards of toxic hypermasculinity, who yearns for softness and gentleness and genuine interpersonal connection and vulnerability, whose mental health struggles and suicidal intentions are given such a huge degree of attention and delicate care in their depiction, who messes up and hurts people when he’s in pain but who the show is still endlessly sympathetic towards—gets to exist at all, much less as the romantic lead and the second protagonist of the show.

so fuck the studios, fuck capitalism, fuck everything that brought the show to an end before the story was told all the way through. because the forces that are keeping s3 from being made are the same forces that would’ve seen the entire show canceled before it even began. s3 is canceled, and s2 suffered from studio meddling, but we still won. we got to have this show. we got to have these characters. there’s been so much working against this show from the very beginning but here we are, two years later, lives changed bc despite all odds, ofmd exists. they can’t take that away from us. they can’t make us stop talking abt or stop caring abt this show. i’m gonna be a fan of this show til the day i die, and the studios hate that. they hate that we care about things that don’t fit into their business strategy, they hate that not everyone will blindly consume endless IP reboots and spin-offs and cheap reality tv.

anyway i dont rlly have a neat way to end this post. sorta just rambling abt my feelings. idk, i know this sucks but im not rlly feeling like wallowing in it. i think my gratitude for the show is outweighing my grief and anger, at least for right now. most important thing tho is im not going anywhere. and my love for this show is certainly not fucking going anywhere.

-After the battle, slamming Bulkhead into the ground, Megatron actually said something to you. Praising you for your strength and courage.

“I’m quite impressed, Y/N..” Megatron praised you, arms behind his back as he circled around you. “A fem with that much strength and power is quite…alluring~”

Your optics widened, feeling a bit of a shiver run up (or go down) your back. “A-alluring?…” You repeat, “Yes…very alluring..” he responded back, he then stood behind you and placed a servo on your shoulder, gripping it a little tightly.

-I feel like he’d fall for some strong fem. Of course, he’d still be stronger. But he would love your strength, courage, wisdom and seriousness, and sometimes he’d get a little…riled up at the height difference between the two of you.

-When he finally confessed feelings for you (he wrote a poem and recited it to you💔🥹) you were treated WAYYY differently. Being called “my queen” or “my dear,” and he would fucking force the others to call you their queen.

“Y/N…I..I’ve fallen for you.” He said, “you what?..” you asked, he quickly stood up, transforming into his alt and flew through the halls of the Nemesis while yelling back “I LOVE YOUUUU..!”

-He’s quite silly, and you loved that. Secretly in his berthroom you’d praise him and cuddle with him (he rlly needs it🙁) he’d call you names like “my spark” or “love.” PDA?? Yes, but not in public. -But he’d hear any new thing about you from either Starscream or the rumors around.

-But when the day of you fighting the Autobots for the first time he was finally able to see you in the Medbay to treat some wounds you had gotten.

-The more you came by the more he got comfortable with you, he’d start ranting to you about random things. Once, he ranted to you about his paint being scratched by Arcee and Bumblebee.

-Sometimes when Knockout had no one to treat you’d come by and talk to him. You loved his sassiness, it was so funny😭 you’d also praise him too, saying how you loved him paint and how shiny it was that day. In return, he’d praise you too.

-whenever you two hung out you would just sit on the medbays bed and swing your legs back n forth since you didn’t reach the ground. Knockout found it quite amusing, he’d definitely tease you for it.

-When the two of you got close, you started falling for him first. Mostly because of his flirtation…yeah…like I said, curse his flirtatious side😢

-Of course he’d still flirt with you, making you flushed everytime you’d leave the Medbay after your daily conversations.

ok this is what RLLY bothers me abt kyle in modern south park ESPECIALLY in seasons 24-26 and i think a lot of people are getting annoyed with this shit too. i hate how they’ve been showing repeatedly how cartman’s getting better and acting nicer in the new episodes so like why TF is kyle still being a dick to him and treating him like a monster???? i mean for YEARS kyle has been going out of his way to help cartman and change cartman and making it clear he wants cartman to be a better person and make better choices, so then when cartman finally does he’s just like 😴. like idc if u ship kyman or not it’s rlly out of character for kyle. they’re still canonically close friends so it feels like a missed opportunity for character development on kyle’s end for them not to show kyle reciprocating or appreciating cartman doing better. i guess it’s bc matt & trey are trying to show kyle has been the toxic one and the jealous snake friend all along, but still even tho kyle is an asshole they don’t have to make him THAT big of an asshole. i think a lot of people like seeing kyle’s caring codependent side come out bc that’s the good side of kyle as a person how big-hearted and empathetic he can be. and there def have been some modern episodes where they DO get this right like especially in “the streaming wars” when kyle helped cartman out with his mom’s ‘surgery’ (even tho kyle deadass only helps cartman or feels bad for him when cartman is lying just to fuck himself over which i had talked abt before how he always gets the timing wrong with cartman for those who are caught up on your wendytestabrat lore). i also feel like an episode that DEF got things right with kyle was “help my teenager hates me” from s25. i loved that moment where cartman was crying abt how everything sucks and he lives in a hot dog and kyle is just like “ru okay cartman?” like bitch we need more moments like THAT. even if kyman doesn’t happen, idc like i just wanna see more moments of kyle being a good friend to cartman back (bc they def have given us A LOT of moments of cartman being there for kyle) is that too much to ask? but yeah in the images i used above are from the specials “post covid” (part 1), “south parq vaccination special”, “not suitable for children” and “joining the panderverse” and in literally every single one of these specials kyle’s being a dick and jumping down cartman’s throat when he aint doing anything wrong lol. in post covid he’s all mad at cartman for being a rabbi, even tho we all know cartman wasn’t faking it and was genuinely happy. in “south parq vaccination special” he gets all pissy throughout the whole thing when all cartman is trying to do is save the broship, in “not suitable for children” he’s getting all mad at cartman for making his own cred affinity group which last i checked aint a crime (and we all know he was just mad bc cartman wasn’t letting him in the group), and in “joining the panderverse” he’s getting all mad and annoyed over cartman being replaced by a black woman and he acts like cartman is making it up even tho cartman was telling the truth and there was this real parallel universe shit happening. like this shit needs to stop it’s getting soooo old and all it’s doing is making kyle unlikable af and annoying everyone who used to love kyle lol. like ok we get it matt & trey kyle can be just as toxic as cartman, now can we also see that he can be just as caring and nice as cartman too?

OK SO RANT WARNING I LOVE ADAMAI

ngl i think about adamai so much like literally almost half of the time im thinking abt him so um i just wanna talk about my personal headcanons for him bc i rlly rlly like him he’s genuinely such an easy character to relate to for me because i relate to his trauma. Anyways, forgive me if you catch any spelling or grammar errors, i’m writing this with like 4 hours of sleep and dyslexia.

um so my main mental health hcs are that he has BPD, ADD (lololol fits with the name) and minor psychosis. For ADD, it’s moreseo that from what i’ve seen, adamai struggles in social cues and has a more quiet approach to his struggles, and that he acts similarly to me, and I am autistic. For psychosis, it’s sort of a baseless headcanon, I just feel like Adamai would get auditory/ tactile hallucinations.

It’s a little hard to explain why i think he has BPD cause it’s moreso things I can relate to, such as how he latches onto people rlly quick ; ie a BPD person’s “favorite person,” who is a support system and a sort of pillar/ anchor and typically end up being someone the person w/ BPD sometimes ends up changing themself for. I personally think that adamai’s had multiple favorite people, such as; grougal, qilby, phaeris, echo and oropo, and obviously, yugo. Its kinda hard for me to like. Phrase WHY i think these people are his fps, but i think it’s mostly how he values them and prioritizes them when it comes to his actions and thoughts and feelings, i mean, just take oropo for example. Adamai changed his entire body for oropo, taking the dofus in when he was still rlly young for eliatrope/dragon standards, even assuming a body he didn’t want to survive, which even then, he only did for approval and support from his FP. This actually leads me into my next headcanon,

I headcanon adamai as transfem. Specifically a trans woman. For a few reasons, which I’ve gone over in a twitter thread (same username as on here, you should go check it out, I’m WAY more active there haha) but i’ll put it here.

1. adamai doesnt feel comfortable in his body and it’s elaborated on in the show. When he’s talking to eliatrope about his body, eliatrope states that he’s “always been unique” and iirc you can see adamai’s face drop because its not exactly something he’s proud of.

2: going off the last point, he’s shown to say that the body he now has in wakfu s3-4 is one he had to adapt to survive and not the one he chose, which is parallel to some trans people never transitioning because they dont feel safe enough to do so. this is kind of a stretch but bear with me, it’s more subconcious connections than anything else.

3. (More of a joke point) BUT HE LITERALLY HAS THE SAME WAIST SIZE AS JESSICA RABBIT. WHAT. YES I’VE ACTUALLY COMPARED I AM NOT JOKING. Like here are the images (see below) for comparison. In all seriousness, while i feel like adamai’s design IS iconic and it does serve the purpose it meant to acheive, it doesn’t feel like him. Which again, is what it meant to acheive!! I’ll touch on this more in a second, but not.

4: adamai has multiple issues regarding self perception, which in a way are all similar to dysphoria. He seems to have rejection dysphoria, body dysphoria, and maybe gender dysphoria. In my view, he seems to have all three subtypes of gender dysphoria (body, mind, and social) this actually ties in to the first point, because i feel like he’d develop a sort of body dysmorphia from shifting into a body he didn’t want, rather then a body that would be more comfortable for him; the human or the dragon. Which i’m choosing to see as a representation of the two genders; with him shifting in between being a sort of safe spot, like how many trans people identify as nonbinary or bigender before transition. (Not to say that these people are any less trans then any others, i’m just going off my own perception as a trans genderfluid person!!!)

5: he’s always being forced into roles; from being raised for yugo, to being yugo’s mentor, to being grougal’s nanny, to being possessed, etc. Ad never has chances to choose any roles by himself, and it’s similar to transphobic parents stopping their trans kid from expressing themselves imo. Again, could be a stretch, but this is how i interpreted it. It’s actually kind of similar to my parents, so maybe that’s why. Though, this COULD also just be gifted kid burnout or autistic burnout OR strict parent parallels, which i also can see correspond with adamai.

6: His mental image and self worth.

Adamai’s character is heavily influenced by a lack of self worth. He measures it with other people’s perceptions of him such as oropo’s or grougal’s, and when his body is perceived negatively by himself/others, he also starts hating it and himself, which ties into the headcanon i had about him having body dysmorphia AND into the BPD favorite people!!!

7: ( sounds like a joke point but bear w me) estrogen could have saved him

And honestly, no, Im not joking. Imo, if Adamai was allowed access to an actual process to be able to feel comfortable in his own skin, it might help his mental illnesses a lot in the long run. I equate that to him getting estrogen + finally looking like himself. It could help him with the body dysmorphia and self esteem by helping him get to a place where he’s comfortable to be himself and maybe even shapeshift again. (I actually wrote a fic about this on Ao3, https://archiveofourown.org/works/55070686, if you want to read it!!)

But um yeah, thats my reasoning for the trans headcanons, onto the less mental health involved ones, more miscellaneous. (But if you’re wondering why i’m using ‘male’ pronouns on Adamai, it’s because i feel like he would still like the he/him pronouns, but would simply use she/her more post transition.)

So, i have a few, mainly for adamai during winter vs summer.

In winter,

Silverish hair to blend with the snow

hair puffs up slightly to provide more insulation

lighter pigmentation everywhere,

much sleepier, tends to nap in the snow often

And then in the summer,

Blonde hair

more pigmentation

hair is less puffy, just curly (similar to chibi’s hair!!!)

less sleepier and more energetic.

Those are the basic ones for the seasons, but i also headcanon adamai to be an ice dragon, which means his tempurature is MUCH lower then the rest of the council’s save for maybe efrim. He needs to be in the sun much more, which could be part of the reason why grougal chose oma island to raise adamai. Another headcanon is that adamai and yugo both have heterochromia!! Yugo has central heterochromia, and Adamai has sectoral heterochromia; his eyes being blue and brown. I also headcanon that he has face markings similar to his mother, but they disappear in his dragon form because he’s closer to his father then.

Um yeah, that’s kind of it for right now, i might add onto these if more come up, but i hope you enjoyed reading!! I rwally love adamai, especially in s3 and up, he’s one of the most well written traumatized character’s i’ve seen, and i ADORE the nuance behind him.

This description of her is DEVASTATING. She’s both somehow unhappier and so much happier with Luna in her life. The way you write her is stunning and I’m loving the conflict between her wanting Luna to focus on the future and Luna who is focused on enjoying the present. It’s a very cool conflict and I love how you’re handling it!! Them both caring more about twilights emotions than each other’s is heartbreaking

i think to me a big aspect of luna and celestia's relationship in the show that kinda got glossed over was that celestia may not have realized how her actions affected luna until too late. and, it's kind of the "road to hell with good intentions" thing, bc i dont think celestia is the bad guy (at least in tte) for believing that the best way to help someone is plan, prepare, try to think ahead and look forward, etc. but, this kind of mindset can clash with someone who, at that moment, finds the prospect of thinking about the future so impossible. writing from life helped a lot in this regard :)

Oh I really hate the ‘little shit’ archetype that is pushed. Is he very much a menace at times? Yes. Is he a quirky menace in a bad behaved toddler-like manner… No. People forget that even though he’s the god of mischief and he’s sassy and silly blah blah blah, he’s also very eloquent and is not.. very quirky in ways that they assume he is. He’s a well behaved menace. Yes that is an oxymoron, and so is he. I hate when people call him a bastard, an asshole, a little shit, etc.. like it’s so condescending and weird… and also unfunny as fuck. Have some respect!!!

Like if people were just saying that in a joking/lighthearted manner, I wouldn’t gaf that much. But, I can tell they really think it’s accurate to who he is as a person. They really think it fits him. I just know they loved the improvised snake joke scene in Ragnarok, and think that Loki was constantly stabbing Thor 🤦🏻‍♀️

How sarcastic or cold/aloof do I think he actually is:

I do think that he genuinely does have these traits. I mean, to those who know him and have fallen for his tricks, it is believable to them to a certain extent. There has to be some truth to it. There’s a thin line between his deceit, and his true nature. One of my favorite Loki quotes:

Frigga: “Cast enough illusions, and you risk forgetting what is real.”

Loki: “Precisely.”

Oh yeah he’s very sarcastic. Without a doubt. Even when being threatened by the Other, he is sarcastic lol. That is something that will never leave him. During Illusions, or the most vulnerable moments of his life.

I think that once he’s warmed up to someone, he will be a little less aloof and a bit more expressive. Though, not by much. Not series level. I still see him as genuinely being more reserved. I don’t see it as just a part of his facade. Oh he’s pretentious to his core. That doesn’t change.

I do not see him as being very hyper or heavily expressive in the same way it’s been represented in the series when he got “comfortable” around Mobius and Sylvie. I do think he genuinely is a bit cold and reserved, even when he does warm up to someone. But at the same time… he’s very playful it’s just not very loud. Ahhhhh. Loki is very expressive in ways, but it’s just… DIFFERENT!!!

How do I see his chaotic side:

Sort of like how I said above. No, I’m definitely hearing you out. The way you explained it, is how I see it. Though, he may ON OCCASION have outbursts where is more all over the place and.. well, chaotic. Yeah it’s more “controlled” for the most part, but I do think he has moments of louder chaos. It’s sinister, but not loud. I don’t really know how to explain it but he’s not maniacally laughing and jumping around all over the place like a buffoon. There is a middle ground I fear. Even at his most chaotic moments, he’s not.. extremely loud. It’s more toned down. Idk what that says about him. He’s chaotic, but he’s elegant and classy with it.

I kind of wrote an imagine a while back where I sort of implied that I think he has been intimate a lot in his past, but ngl I wrote that when I had brain fog and I was kind of dumb as fuck because I don’t even agree with that. Idk where that came from. I do not think that he is a complete virgin, but I also do not think that he’s hedonistic AT ALL. I think he has definitely had a few lovers/flings in the past, but nothing too serious. Nothing that really made him feel loved. He’s selective with lovers.

Loki, in my eyes, loves very heavily. When he loves someone, he wants to spend the rest of his life with them. He’s very devoted/loyal. He hasn’t found that person yet, though he’s messed around a few times.

Yeah, I honestly agree with what you said about it for the most part. I think Loki views hedonistic behavior as a sign of low intelligence (in his eyes) and likes to deprive himself of such “earthly” pleasures. Because he’s pretentious like that. But also, maybe he feels like he doesn’t deserve to indulge. He’s not good enough, yet. Maybe he’s weird about types of self pleasuring too idk.

Loki definitely was overshadowed by Thor, but he was still of a high status and was also very cunning/charming. Not that I think he was tricking people into sleeping with him, but I think that people were drawn to his high status of course, but also his mysterious nature. People always want to figure out those who are mysterious, and reserved. Most people probably thought that Loki was emo and weird af, but then you had people who were intrigued by it, and intrigued by his intelligence.

When people say that Loki is highly experienced, I don’t see that as meaning he slept around a whole ton and was fucking 30 people a day. I see that as he slept around a few times, not many, but is a very quick learner. He got the hang of it quickly, and is also quite in touch with what makes himself feel good. He can read people very, very well. So I think he takes advantage of his intelligence, and uses that in bed in ways. He’s alluring in that manner. He reads people, and understands what they desire from him. Loki understands body language. He knows how to disguise his own, and he knows how to read other’s.

Not that you said anything about this but i now have a chance to talk about it hehe. I think he likes pleasuring other people. It’s a bit of an ego boost for him. He has that authority over them, and he could easily take it away. He likes having control. Maybe sex is an outlet for him in ways. It makes him feel useful. He may restrain from allowing himself to be pleasured, because that’s him giving in. That’s him giving up that control to someone else. Though, I think he would accept it from someone he really loves. He’s a bit weird about intimacy.

♡ although she doesn’t believe in it herself , every time she passes by one of those crystal shops she texts u asking if u need any and sends u pics of aaalllll the crystals so u can pick and she buys them for u

♡ whenever u go to shops to get supplies while going out w her , she insists on paying for u and always does despite ur protests .

♡ when u first started dating , u gave her a rose quartz necklace and she wasn’t rlly fond of the idea of wearing it bc it isn’t rlly her thing . when u explained to her it’s the stone of unconditional love , she completely changed her mind and wore it all day every day

♡ even when u explained to her she has to take it off to charge , she often forgets .. sometimes when she’s asleep u take it off and put it by the window so it can get moonlight and charge bc she . does not . charge it !!

sooooo - rowan isnt SUPPERRRR angsty and angry when maya is born. maya is a lot lighter tabby. shes also noticeably smaller than rowan (but he’s a pretty BIGGGG guy :p) instead of being vry dark and almost a black cat like rowan - shes more brownish gray where rowan is black and brown. she has white paws and tail tip !! but the same bright amber eyes as rowan !

btw forgot to say this. rowan has a snaggletooth. :p

rowan didnr want to be involved with mayas life at ALL until OH MY GOD ROWAN IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE YOUNGER SIBLING its okay rhis is an au it works better like this. anywayz :p he doesnt get involved until maya goes up to him like “HAIII :3 UR A RLLY BIG CAT WANNA PLAY :DD ??” and it makes him do a double take like wat ?!! she’s nice,,, and realizes shes pretty cool and starts to regularly play w her !! and yhats how they get their sibling relationship :p (bonus points king astor does NOT want rowan talking to maya but cant do anything about it)

due to their close relationship rowan actually is assigned maya as his apprentice! much to the DISMAY of king astor >:( he cant do nuthin about it tho sooo :pp but this makes them closer and during this time is when rowan tells maya they’re actually half siblings :3 !

when rowan tells maya abt his mom she doesnt rlly believe him… she thinks highly of her dad!!!! she questions him and he frames it as if it was necessary yk :/ “rogue invading territory bad!!! she wouldnt leave and clan comes first >:((“

fast forward >> to uhmmmm rowans first murder attempt and maya is vry hurt abt it - and rowan seems… glad hes exiled??? like he doesnt care hes leaving her or any of his friends!!! and the rest of the clan HATES him. plus befriending maddox and falling in love w them she realizes how much driving maddox out of clan territory has affected their life . it makes her start to dislike him more and more. but she does miss him a good amount :<

when he joins another clan shes a little baffled - he joined another clan and is acting SOO arrogant and WHO is this guy?! >:( he joined the clans again and doesn’t really even glance at her at gatherings !!! much less ask about maddox who he made everyone DRIVE OUT !! the first time they actually get to talk is when louis arranges it - and it’s about talking about taking down the king… maya doesn’t really recognize this rowan who’s so obsessed w killing the king!!!!

WOWOOWWWWW im sayin a lot!!! let me say rowans side and ill wrap this ramble off hehe -w-

rowan on the other hand was spiteful when maya took their fathers words over his when he talked about his mom to her >:/ she seems to listen to king astor more and more each day and he HATESSS it. by the time shes a warrior their relationship is a lot more strained bc of him… her dating jason? his dads doing !! she does a LOT bc of her dad and rowan starts seeing her as some1 jst following his every word again. he doesn’t seem to think of her when planning to kill his dad

when he comes back to the clans he sees that she hasnt rlly changed :/ so he doesn’t bother w her. he doesn’t feel that attached to maya anymore , why should he care if she dies?? he seems shockingly fine w killing her as a precaution - he barely recognizes maya either, shes lying too much to listen to their father (he starts to more when she tells him she loves maddox instead of jason and is willing to fake her death to be with them…)

tldr; i ramble a little abt how i hate modern Jason fucking Todd and highlight how much justice this comic did for him

and how modern writers are just trying to turn him into a batfam insert of deadpool

Yes! I dont think Jason had 100% feelings for Babs, like he said, he thought it could work. It definitely came from a moment of weakness/vulnerability, its often that Jason doesn’t get cared for too often, not in the way he needs. So when Babs let out a hand for him, it hit him HARD. Especially with just being traumatized by the last two jokers, I think its pretty obvious he doesn’t need someone to clean up/watch after him but like need someone to generally emotionally guide him.

my personal pet peeve with most modern Jason Todd canon ships is the laziness of it(b4 i get criticized i think ANY ship with ANY CHARACTERS can be good as long as the writings GOOD and makes SENSE) . GOD NO- i dont ship jason and babs, but they still put an odd amount of effort into it, to at the very least actually flesh out their characters.

Jason doesn’t need a character that fixes his mistakes when he’s overly impulsive, or babies him, or fixes his mistakes with a veil of ‘Your so dumb but i secretly care about you!‘ because then it leads to most of lazy writing where he does something stupid but his gf is here to fix it! so its ok! NO!! HES NOT LEARNING ANYTHING!! YOURE MAKING HIM LOOK STUPID AND MENTALLY BRAIN DEAD!! anyways sorry.

Jason needs someone to break him out of his cycle of impulsiveness and self-destruction, not have him indulge in it.Jason needs to go fucking soul-searching or something im so tired of his ass— REALISTICALLY I COULDN’T DATE COMIC!JASON IF HE DIDNT CHANGE,, HE WOULD FRUSTRATE ME RLLY BAD.

ahem. anyways. I think Jasons note shows a lot about his character and something that the modern writers ignore a lot. Jason CAN change, he just needs a reason, a solid reason to. He doesn’t have to put down his code, or the guns, he just needs someone solid to really make him think about himself. “All I need is one chance to you I can be better. And I will devote my life to making you proud. Happy. Loved.” WHERE IS THIS SWEETHEART RN?? I SWEAR EVERY OTHER WRITER IS MAKING HIM A EMO FUCK-BOY WHOS BRAIN MATTER GOT SUCKED OUT THROUGH HIS COCK?? ahem sorry.

I really love how much DC actually puts details into Jason in this comic. Ex. Jasons helmets abilities being highlighted, “Helmets registering multiple security doors opening across the facility.” OR him saying the chronic pain management book was helpful. SORRY— I REALLY ENJOY DETAILS LIKE THIS. It just makes Jasons technical skill and such more obvious then whats normally stated. Also Jason tracking sea water off a wrench to the Aquarium— where is this skill in more modern comics?? I swear they make Jason a braindead wannabe deadpool sometimes i swear to fucking god. Also him shooting the shark tank so it eats Gaggy— I DIE FOR DETAILS LIKE THIS.

They don’t even get rid of his humor in 3 jokers either, he still has a really well displayed personality and his banter with Batman is really bearable for once, it makes sense and its well written. I slightly dislike how hard Babs is being on Jason but i’m not 100% sure what Babs is like. I haven’t read comics centered around her, so I don’t mind it. Also dont mistake this for me disliking babs for rejecting Jay— thats not what i mean at all. Just her constantly saying how he’s a criminal and focusing on getting him in prison like he’s an opp was confusing 2 me..

cartman did absolutely nothing wrong in season 20 (FROM THE VAULT [2020])

Honestly I feel like I’m the only one who felt bad for Cartman after everyone broke his stuff for no reason. Like ik Cartman has done a lot of shitty stuff in the past, but he didn’t do anything to deserve that. He was trying his best to make changes & become a better person in that season in his own stupid way even tho he doesn’t rlly know how to do that but at least A for effort. I really feel like the only reason why they had Cartman go through that dramatic character change that season was so they could show how shitty Kyle has gotten in comparison LMAO. Kyle is rlly becoming just as toxic as Cartman, he’s the one that falsely accused Cartman of being the troll and got everyone in the school all worked up and riled up over it (he’s always been the one that’s trying to turn all his classmates against Cartman) so that they’d break his stuff. Kyle vowed to take down the troll no matter what, but stopped caring about it once he found out Cartman didn’t do it even though his OWN DAD was the one who was the troll, like how could he be so clueless about that. It didn’t even take him until like one of the last episodes of the season to figure that out bc all he was focused on was Cartman. Heidi sucks, but I get why Cartman fell for Heidi in s20, and why he felt like he was losing Kyle. Cartman made some really good points to Kyle about how much he had changed, and how he wasn’t acting like himself. Heidi was very similar to Kyle, she was just as smart, and she actually did care about finding out who the troll was and making positive changes and all that shit. While Kyle on the other hand was just being a hypocrite, he was just acting like he cared about this shit when really all he wanted was an excuse to fight with Cartman. That’s why he was so petty & jealous over Cartman & Heidi’s relationship and couldn’t just accept that they were together. Even when they were doing good things together, like trying to track down the troll, which is something Kyle should support bc he allegedly cares about this stuff he still decided to be an asshole and threatened to share Cartman’s entire internet history. That’s why even when he was AGAINST the wieners out stuff before, and wanted to support the girls, he pulled a 180 and then joined Butters bc Cartman wouldn’t help him take down Butters, & he saw Cartman & Heidi together. Kyle was NOT acting like himself at all in s20, he was completely sexually confused abt his feeling for Cartman and the first 2 episodes of s20 set it up perfectly by calling Kyle a little gay boy and then having him cry over Cartman.

update 2024: ok i feel like this rant was wayy ahead of its time bc i was like one of the first people to point out how kyle was starting to become more toxic than cartman, yet the normies didn’t start to notice it too until all the kyle bullshit that happened in s24 lol.
